Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an EGR device for an internal combustion engine.
。 A technique is known in which the air-fuel ratio is controlled to the lean side to suppress the occurrence of knocking when the EGR valve stops operating in a state where the amount of EGR gas is less than the target value (for example, Patent Documents). 1).
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides a technique capable of suppressing the occurrence of clogging in a fuel injection valve when the amount of EGR gas is reduced in an EGR device for an internal combustion engine. For the purpose.
In order to achieve the above object, an EGR device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention employs the following means. That is, the EGR device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention is:
An EGR passage connecting an exhaust passage and an intake passage of the internal combustion engine;
An EGR valve that opens and closes in the EGR passage;
A first injection valve for injecting fuel into the intake air outside the cylinder of the internal combustion engine;
A second injection valve for injecting fuel into a cylinder of the internal combustion engine;
When the opening degree of the EGR valve does not match the target opening degree and is smaller than the target opening degree, the total fuel is compared with when the opening degree of the EGR valve matches the target opening degree. A ratio changing means for decreasing the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the first injection valve to the injection amount and increasing the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve;
It is characterized by providing.
The target opening of the EGR valve is determined based on the operating state of the internal combustion engine (for example, engine speed and engine load). When the opening degree of the EGR valve does not match the target opening degree and is smaller than the target opening degree, the amount of NOx generated increases because the amount of EGR gas is insufficient.
Further, the total amount of fuel injection from the first injection valve and the second injection valve is determined based on the operating state of the internal combustion engine. The total fuel injection amount is divided into the first injection valve and the second injection valve, and fuel is injected from the respective injection valves. When the opening degree of the EGR valve coincides with the target opening degree, the ratio of the fuel injected from each injection valve to the total fuel injection amount is also determined based on the operating state of the internal combustion engine.
Here, since the second injection valve injects fuel into the cylinder, its injection hole is exposed to the combustion gas in the cylinder. That is, when NOx increases, there is a possibility that clogging may occur at the nozzle hole of the second injection valve.
On the other hand, if the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve is increased to increase the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve, the temperature of the injection hole of the second injection valve can be lowered. , The generation of deposits can be suppressed.
On the other hand, since the first injection valve injects fuel during intake, it is not easily affected by the increase in NOx. That is, even if the amount of NOx generated increases, clogging is unlikely to occur at the nozzle hole of the first injection valve.
Therefore, even if the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the first injection valve is reduced, clogging hardly occurs at the injection hole of the first injection valve. Further, when the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve is increased, the total fuel injection amount can be made constant by decreasing the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the first injection valve.
In the present invention, comprising an estimation means for estimating the temperature in the cylinder of the internal combustion engine,
The ratio changing means can change the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the first injection valve and the second injection valve to the total fuel injection amount based on the temperature in the cylinder.
In other words, the higher the temperature in the cylinder, the easier it is for deposits to be generated. Therefore, if the ratio of the fuel injection amount is changed according to the temperature in the cylinder, the ratio of the fuel injection amount is set so as to suppress the generation of deposits. Can do. For example, the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve is increased as the temperature in the cylinder becomes higher. Further, for example, when the temperature in the cylinder is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve is increased. Instead of the temperature in the cylinder, the amount of NOx generated or the temperature of the second injection valve, the temperature of the injection hole or the tip of the second injection valve, the combustion temperature, or the temperature of burned gas may be used. That is, a numerical value correlated with the ease of deposit generation is acquired, and the ratio of fuel injection may be changed according to this numerical value. Further, these values may be used as values representative of the temperature in the cylinder.
In the present invention, comprising an overlap period changing means for changing the length of the overlap period, which is a period in which the intake valve and the exhaust valve of the internal combustion engine are simultaneously opened,
When the ratio changing means changes the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the first injection valve and the second injection valve to the total fuel injection amount, the overlap period can be made longer than when the ratio is not changed.
When the clogging of the second injection valve does not occur, the overlap period is determined according to the operating state of the internal combustion engine. On the other hand, when the overlap period is lengthened, the amount of internal EGR gas that takes in the burned gas discharged to the intake port or the exhaust port into the cylinder again increases, so that the temperature in the cylinder can be lowered. Thereby, the production amount of NOx can be reduced. Moreover, since EGR gas can be supplemented, fuel consumption can be improved. For example, if the closing timing of the exhaust valve is made earlier than the exhaust top dead center, the amount of burned gas that blows back to the intake passage increases, and this burned gas is sucked into the cylinder in the intake stroke. Therefore, the burnt gas remaining in the cylinder increases. Further, if the closing timing of the exhaust valve is made later than the exhaust top dead center, the burnt gas once discharged into the exhaust passage flows back into the cylinder in the intake stroke. Therefore, the burnt gas remaining in the cylinder increases. In this way, the internal EGR amount can be increased.
In the present invention, the overlap period can be longer in the low load operation region than in the high load operation region of the internal combustion engine.
In the high-load operation region of the internal combustion engine, the amount of gas blown back from the inside of the cylinder to the intake port increases, and therefore deposits easily adhere to the intake port. Therefore, when it becomes easy for deposits to adhere to the intake port, the overlap period is relatively shortened. Note that the overlap period may be lengthened only in the low load operation region. Further, the overlap period may exist only in the low load operation region. Furthermore, the overlap period may be gradually changed according to the load, or may be changed in stages. When the overlap period is lengthened, the increase in the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve may be prohibited or may be used in combination.
In the present invention, the overlap period can be lengthened when the total amount of fuel injection from the first injection valve and the second injection valve is equal to or less than a specified value.
In an operating state in which the total amount of fuel injection increases, the amount of gas blown back from the cylinder to the intake port increases, and deposits easily adhere to the intake port. On the other hand, if the overlap period is lengthened only when the total fuel injection amount is equal to or less than the specified value, it is possible to suppress deposits from adhering to the intake port. The specified value is the total amount of fuel injection that can prevent deposits from adhering to the intake port, and may be determined according to the overlap period. Further, the overlap period may be longer when the total amount of fuel injection from the first injection valve and the second injection valve is equal to or less than a specified value than when it is greater than the specified value. Furthermore, the overlap period may be gradually changed according to the total amount of fuel injection, or may be changed in stages. In addition, when the overlap period is lengthened, the increase in the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve may be prohibited or may be used in combination.
In the present invention, the overlap period is mainly lengthened in the low load operation region or when the total amount of fuel injection is less than the specified value, and in other cases, the fuel from the second injection valve is mainly used. It may be possible to prevent clogging from occurring in the second injection valve by increasing the ratio of the injection amount. By doing in this way, fuel consumption can be improved in the low-load operation region or when the total amount of fuel injection is below a specified value. In other cases, PM can be prevented from adhering to the intake port. The main reason for making the overlap period longer is to make the overlap period as long as possible within the allowable range, and when there is still a possibility of clogging in the second injection valve, the amount of fuel injection from the second injection valve It means increasing the rate. Similarly, mainly increasing the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve is to increase the ratio of the fuel injection amount from the second injection valve as much as possible within the allowable range. When there is a possibility of clogging, it means that the overlap period is lengthened.
According to the EGR device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, it is possible to suppress clogging in the fuel injection valve when the amount of EGR gas decreases.
