Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technical field of a control device for a hybrid vehicle including an electric motor and an internal combustion engine as a power source.
ハイブリッド車両として、内燃機関の排気経路にEHC(Electric Heating Catalyst:電気加熱式触媒)を備えたものが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。 As a hybrid vehicle, a vehicle having an EHC (Electric Heating Catalyst) in an exhaust path of an internal combustion engine has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). According to the exhaust gas reduction device for a hybrid vehicle disclosed in Patent Document 1 (hereinafter referred to as “conventional technology”), when the power source for driving needs to be charged while the motor is started and the engine is stopped. It is said that the exhaust gas can be efficiently purified when the engine is started by heating the catalyst and allowing the engine to be driven after the control unit determines that the catalyst has reached a sufficient activation temperature.
In hybrid vehicles, there is also proposed a hybrid vehicle control device that energizes the EHC when the catalyst is at a low temperature and starts the engine even when the catalyst is inactive when the required torque is equal to or greater than a predetermined torque (see, for example, Patent Document 2). ).
According to the prior art, energization to the EHC is started when a start of the internal combustion engine is requested due to a decrease in the remaining amount of power stored in a power storage means such as a battery, but the temperature of the EHC becomes the catalyst activation temperature. If it does not reach, the start of the internal combustion engine is not permitted, so the start of the internal combustion engine is actually delayed. From a practical point of view, such a delay in starting is unavoidable from the viewpoint of ensuring the running performance of the vehicle, but in that case, permitting the start of the internal combustion engine when the temperature of the EHC does not rise. Therefore, of course, the emission tends to deteriorate for a corresponding period until the catalyst warm-up is completed.
On the other hand, in order to avoid such a problem, it is conceivable to energize the EHC before the start request is generated. However, the threshold of the remaining amount of electricity that prescribes whether to energize the EHC should be set. However, there is no guarantee as to whether or not warming up of the internal combustion engine can be completed at the time of starting when it is set higher than the value of the remaining amount of electricity that causes a start request of the internal combustion engine. If this type of threshold value is set higher, the power taken out from the power storage means will inevitably increase, resulting in increased wasteful power consumption.
That is, the conventional technique has a technical problem that it is difficult to suppress the deterioration of emission without causing excessive power consumption when starting the internal combustion engine. The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a hybrid vehicle control device that can efficiently and effectively start an internal combustion engine.
In order to solve the above-described problems, a control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention includes an internal combustion engine, at least one electric motor that functions as a power source together with the internal combustion engine, functions as a power source for the electric motor, and is supplied from an external power source. Stored in the exhaust path of the internal combustion engine, the catalyst capable of purifying the exhaust of the internal combustion engine, and the catalyst by energization using the electric power stored in the power storage means A hybrid that is required to start the internal combustion engine when the remaining amount of electricity stored in the electricity storage means is less than a predetermined first reference remaining amount. A control apparatus for a vehicle, the first specifying means for specifying the remaining amount of power stored in the power storage means, and the second specifying means for specifying a physical quantity corresponding to the required output of the hybrid vehicle In the state where the hybrid vehicle is traveling in an EV (Electric Vehicle), a determination unit that determines whether the energization is necessary based on the specified remaining power storage amount and the specified physical quantity, and the energization is necessary. And a control unit that controls the energization unit so that the energization is started when it is determined that there is a certain event.
The “internal combustion engine” in the present invention has at least one cylinder, and at least a part of the power as explosive power generated when various fuels such as gasoline, light oil, or alcohol are burned in the combustion chamber of each cylinder. Refers to an engine that can be output to the axle of a hybrid vehicle via an output shaft such as a crankshaft, for example, via a mechanical transmission path such as a piston and a connecting rod, such as a 2-cycle or 4-cycle reciprocating engine. Point to.
Further, the hybrid vehicle according to the present invention includes an electric motor that can take the form of, for example, a motor or a motor generator as a power source different from the internal combustion engine. For example, an inverter, various PCUs (Power Control Units), and the like are provided. Through the various power controls such as current control, voltage control, and power control, the power corresponding to the discharge power from various power storage means such as a battery can be output directly or indirectly to the axle. In this internal combustion engine, for example, a generator that can take the form of a generator or a motor generator, for example, directly or indirectly is connected to an engine output shaft such as a crankshaft. It may be configured to be possible.
The hybrid vehicle according to the present invention includes power storage means such as a hybrid battery configured to function as a power source for the electric motor. This power storage means is suitably used as a suitable form, for example, when the electric motor according to the present invention functions as power regeneration means, etc., or when the hybrid vehicle includes a generator, for example, depending on the generated power. In particular, the present invention has a configuration in which charging is appropriately performed by energization using external power supplied from an external power source (that is, different from power generated inside the hybrid vehicle).
Here, the “external power source” refers to, for example, various types of power sources that are installed at home or have portability (suitable forms include, for example, a household outlet and a dedicated or general-purpose charging plug as appropriate), Alternatively, it refers to various power sources or the like installed as dedicated or general-purpose infrastructure facilities or the like in urban areas or suburban areas (which may be attached to, for example, a gas station or a similar infrastructure facility). That is, the hybrid vehicle according to the present invention is a so-called plug-in hybrid vehicle configured to be able to control the charging state of the power storage means relatively freely based on the driver's intention and the like.
On the other hand, the exhaust path of the internal combustion engine according to the present invention may take various forms of, for example, a three-way catalyst, an NSR catalyst (NOx storage reduction catalyst) or an oxidation catalyst, or S / C (Start Converter) depending on the installation location. Various catalysts that can take a form such as a catalyst or an underfloor catalyst are provided as at least a part of the exhaust purification means that can take various forms. The catalyst is heated when energized using electric power stored in the electric storage means or external electric power supplied from an external power source to the heating means that can take the form of, for example, a hot wire, a heater coil, or a ceramic heater. It is configured to be heated directly or indirectly by heat applied from the means.
The structure of the heating means (especially the physical, mechanical, and electrical structure) allows the heating means to heat the catalyst by supplying heat to the catalyst when energized (in other words, it can be warmed up). As long as the catalyst is partly or entirely surrounded by a heat ray or similar means, the catalyst may be warmed up by direct heat transfer, for example, the exhaust upstream side of the catalyst. For example, the catalyst may be indirectly warmed up by radiant heat. Further, the heating means may be configured integrally with the catalyst, or may be disposed close to the upstream side thereof and may be configured as a part of so-called EHC.
For example, a current control circuit, a voltage control circuit, and a power control circuit are provided in the hybrid vehicle according to the present invention to perform at least the above-described energization (that is, it does not deny that it can be applied to charging the power storage means). In addition, energization means appropriately including various electric circuits such as a switching circuit or a rectifier circuit and various elements such as various electric wirings is provided. The configuration of the energization means adopts various modes depending on, for example, the physical, mechanical, or electrical connection mode between the external power source, the power storage unit, and the heating unit. For example, the supply path of the external power passes through the power storage unit. In the case where there are two systems of a route and a route that does not pass through the power storage means, as a preferred embodiment, there may be provided a switching means that can switch at least substantially selectively, such as an external When the power source is not directly connected to the heating means, it may be divided into an electric system that guides external power to the power storage means and an electric system that supplies power from the power storage means to the heating means.
According to the control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle of the present invention, during operation, for example, various processing units such as an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), various controllers or various computer systems such as a microcomputer device may be employed. The remaining amount of power stored in the power storage unit is specified by the one specifying unit.
The “remaining power storage” according to the present invention refers to the degree of power storage in the power storage means, and can be expressed as various index values or physical quantities in practice. For example, the remaining amount of power storage may be the amount of power stored at that time (stored power amount), or the ratio of the stored power amount to the amount of power corresponding to full charge (for example, SOC (State Of Charge) or the like.
In addition, “specific” according to the present invention means that a specific target or a physical quantity correlated with the specific target is detected directly or indirectly through a predetermined detection unit, directly or through the detection unit. Selecting a corresponding value from a map or the like stored in advance in an appropriate storage means based on a physical quantity correlated with a specific target detected indirectly, a physical quantity correlated with this type of specific target, or a selected value, etc. From this, it is a broad concept encompassing deriving according to a preset algorithm or calculation formula, or simply obtaining a value detected, selected or derived in this way, for example, in the form of an electrical signal or the like. Within the scope of the concept, the specifying means may specify the remaining amount of power storage. For example, the SOC value as the detection result is electrically detected from the detection means such as an SOC sensor attached to the power storage means. You may perform the identification which acquires.
Here, the hybrid vehicle according to the present invention is configured such that the start of the internal combustion engine is required when the remaining amount of power stored in the power storage means is less than a predetermined first reference remaining amount (note that the internal combustion engine is started). The conditions are not limited to this). The first reference remaining amount is determined based on, for example, other electrical devices provided in the hybrid vehicle when the vehicle is continuously driven by the power of only the motor, for example, experimentally, empirically, theoretically, or based on simulation. Auxiliary machinery (including various lighting devices, compressors for air conditioners, power steering devices, and various driving support devices such as ABS) may be adversely affected, or the storage means may be electrically depleted (ie The remaining power storage amount may be zero), or may be determined as a simple control threshold value.
In this case, in particular, when the above-described energization of the heating unit is performed to request the warming up of the catalyst when the start request of the internal combustion engine is generated, this kind of operation can be performed if the start of the internal combustion engine is permitted after the catalyst warm-up is completed. No matter how the first reference remaining amount is set, there is a high possibility that the start of the internal combustion engine will be delayed in the warm-up period until the warm-up of the catalyst is completed. On the other hand, in view of the situation where the start request is generated, it is not desirable to delay the start of the internal combustion engine in this way. In practice, the start request is met regardless of the warm-up state of the catalyst. This may cause a situation such as starting the internal combustion engine. In this case, of course, the deterioration of the emission during the warm-up period is easily manifested as a problem that cannot be ignored in practice.
Therefore, the hybrid vehicle control device according to the present invention is configured to be able to suppress the deterioration of the emission when the internal combustion engine is started in response to the start request of the internal combustion engine. That is, according to the control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle of the present invention, the hybrid vehicle can be operated by the second specifying means that can take the form of various processing units such as an ECU, various controllers, various computer systems such as a microcomputer device, and the like. A physical quantity corresponding to the requested output is specified. Further, for example, when the hybrid vehicle is running in an EV state, the specified remaining power storage amount and the specific specification are determined by a determination unit that can take the form of various processing units such as an ECU, various controllers or various computer systems such as a microcomputer device. Whether or not energization is necessary is determined based on the physical quantity thus determined. Further, the energization is started when the determining means determines that energization is required by the control means that can take the form of various processing units such as an ECU, various controllers or various computer systems such as a microcomputer device. The energizing means is controlled.
Here, the “physical quantity corresponding to the required output of the hybrid vehicle” includes the required output of the hybrid vehicle itself, and corresponds to the required output of the hybrid vehicle on a one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one and many-to-many basis. It is a concept that encompasses various values that correlate with the output.
In the present invention, “EV running state” means that the hybrid vehicle is not in a so-called soak state in which both the electric motor and the internal combustion engine are stopped, and the internal combustion engine is in an operating state (power is output to the axle). It may be irrelevant whether or not the hybrid vehicle is stopped, and only the electric motor can function as a power supply source regardless of whether or not the hybrid vehicle is stopped.
As described above, during the EV traveling period in which the hybrid vehicle is traveling on EV, the remaining amount of power stored in the power storage means basically increases and decreases continuously (essentially decreases if power regeneration does not occur). Any of the above-mentioned remaining power storages is likely to reach the above-described first reference remaining amount. Therefore, at first glance, even in the technical idea of determining whether or not energization is necessary using only the remaining amount of electricity as a criterion, for example, energization is started when the amount of remaining electricity reaches a set value larger than the first reference amount. By taking measures such as this, it may be possible to suppress the deterioration of emissions somewhat.
However, in this type of technical idea, the degree of change in the remaining amount of stored electricity is not taken into account at all, so if we focus on suppressing the deterioration of emissions, this kind of criterion value is more than setting redundantly high values. In some cases, energization is started long before the start of the internal combustion engine is required. The energization during the EV running period is not performed by taking out the electric power from the power storage means. If the energization is made unnecessarily long in this way, the electric power may be consumed wastefully.
On the other hand, focusing on the reduction of power consumption, if this kind of criterion value is set on the side lower than the redundantly high criterion value, in the case where the remaining amount of electricity is rapidly reduced, etc., eventually Even though the internal combustion engine is not warmed up, it may be required to start the internal combustion engine. In other words, in the category of this type of technical idea, where the determination reference value is set, in the end, the energization start timing may be too late or too early, and the energization start timing can be optimized. Can not.
Here, the timing at which the remaining power amount reaches the first reference remaining amount varies depending on the remaining power amount at that time and the required output of the hybrid vehicle. For example, even if the remaining amount of power storage is the same, the required output of the hybrid vehicle (in view of the EV travel period, this required output is essentially the same as the power supplied from the power storage means or the required output of the motor. The greater the potential (which can be the target), the higher the rate of decrease in the remaining power storage. In other words, the time required for the remaining power storage amount to reach the first reference remaining amount is shortened. Therefore, when the necessity of energization is determined based on the remaining power storage and the required output of the hybrid vehicle by the action of the determination means, the required output is not taken into consideration (in other words, the change in the remaining power storage) Compared with the case where the necessity of energization is determined (without considering the degree), the timing for starting energization can be set more accurately. For example, the energization start timing is set so that the remaining amount of power storage reaches the first reference remaining amount (that is, the start request of the internal combustion engine is generated) with the catalyst sufficiently warmed up and from the power storage means. It is possible to determine that the power to be taken out is reduced as much as possible. That is, according to the hybrid vehicle control device of the present invention, the internal combustion engine can be started efficiently and effectively in response to the start request.
Note that such a determination operation in the determination unit according to the present invention does not exclude the necessity determination of energization in consideration of the warm-up state of the catalyst, for example, the catalyst warm-up has already been completed (for example, In the case where the EV traveling and the HV traveling using the internal combustion engine are frequently switched, for example, the determination that the energization is unnecessary is made by the determination means or other means. Is also a good idea. That is, the start of the internal combustion engine and the execution of energization do not necessarily correspond one-on-one.
In one aspect of the control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention, the determination unit is configured such that the specified remaining power storage amount is less than a predetermined second reference remaining amount greater than the first reference remaining amount, and When the required output of the hybrid vehicle corresponding to the specified physical quantity is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, it is determined that the energization is necessary.
According to this aspect, when the remaining power storage amount is less than the second reference remaining amount and the required output of the hybrid vehicle is equal to or greater than a predetermined value (more precisely, the specified physical quantity is equal to the required output of the hybrid vehicle If it is in a range corresponding to the fact that it is equal to or greater than a predetermined value), it is determined that energization is necessary. The determining means conceptually determines whether or not energization is necessary by associating a physical quantity (or remaining amount of electricity) as a reference value with each of the remaining amount of electricity (or physical quantity) in advance or each time. However, in this case, the load required for the determination operation increases. In this respect, when one determination reference value is set for the remaining power storage amount and the physical quantity, the load required for the determination operation of the determination unit is reduced, which is preferable. In addition, when the necessity of energization is roughly determined in this way, the obtained effect is clear compared with the case where the required output of the hybrid vehicle is not taken into account, and at least the effect sufficient in practice is demonstrated. It goes without saying that it is done.
In another aspect of the hybrid vehicle control device according to the present invention, the second specifying unit specifies at least one of the required output of the electric motor and the vehicle speed of the hybrid vehicle as the physical quantity.
The required output of the electric motor is unambiguous with the required output of the hybrid vehicle during the EV traveling period, and the vehicle speed of the hybrid vehicle is an index correlated with the required output of the hybrid vehicle. Therefore, it is suitable as a physical quantity corresponding to the required output of the hybrid vehicle according to the present invention.
In addition, the maximum output of the electric motor (which may be a physical or electrical maximum output or a control-specified maximum output) is generally smaller than the maximum output of the hybrid vehicle, and EV travel is allowed. The vehicle speed is generally lower than the maximum speed of the hybrid vehicle. When the required output of the electric motor or the vehicle speed of the hybrid vehicle exceeds these maximum values and allowable values, it is highly likely that a request for starting the internal combustion engine will occur, so it is practically useful to determine whether energization is necessary based on these It is.
In one aspect of the hybrid vehicle control device in which the required output of the electric motor and the vehicle speed of the hybrid vehicle are specified as physical quantities, the second specifying means specifies the required output of the electric motor as the physical quantities, and the determination means includes: When the specified power storage remaining amount is less than a predetermined second reference remaining amount greater than the first reference remaining amount, and the required output of the specified electric motor is equal to or greater than a predetermined first reference output, It is determined that the energization is necessary.
According to this aspect, since it is determined that energization is necessary when the remaining amount of power storage is less than the second reference remaining amount and the required output of the motor is equal to or higher than the first reference output, it is simple and effective. It becomes possible to determine whether energization is necessary.

The energization is required when the remaining power storage amount is less than a predetermined second reference remaining amount greater than the first reference remaining amount and the specified vehicle speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined first reference vehicle speed. Is determined.
According to this aspect, since it is determined that energization is necessary when the storage plan amount is less than the second reference remaining amount and the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than the first reference vehicle speed, it is necessary to simply and effectively energize. It is possible to determine whether or not.

It is determined that
According to this aspect, when the remaining amount of storage is less than the second reference remaining amount, energization is necessary when the required output of the motor is equal to or higher than the second reference output and the vehicle speed is equal to or higher than the second vehicle speed. Therefore, it is possible to more precisely determine whether energization is necessary.
Such an operation and other advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the embodiments described below.

The speed reduction mechanism 11 is a gear mechanism that includes a differential gear (not shown) that is configured to rotate according to the power output from the

ECU100は、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、ROM(Read Only Memory)及びRAM(Random Access Memory)等を備え、ハイブリッド車両10の動作全体を制御することが可能に構成された電子制御ユニットであり、本発明に係る「ハイブリッド車両の制御装置」の一例である。

The “internal combustion engine” according to the present invention is not limited to a gasoline engine, and may have a form such as a diesel engine using light oil as a fuel or a bi-fuel engine capable of using a mixed fuel of alcohol and gasoline. . Even if it is a gasoline engine, the cylinder arrangement is not limited to the in-line type.

Returning to FIG. 1, the motor generator MG1 is configured to function as a generator for charging the
The motor generator MG2 is a motor generator that is an example of the “motor” according to the present invention, and is configured to function as a motor that assists the power of the
The motor generator MG1 and the motor generator MG2 are configured as, for example, a synchronous motor generator, and include a rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets on the outer peripheral surface, and a stator wound with a three-phase coil that forms a rotating magnetic field. Prepare. However, other types of motor generators may be used.

This sun gear is coupled to a rotor (not shown) of MG1 via a sun gear shaft, and the ring gear is coupled to a rotor (not shown) of MG2 via a ring gear shaft. The ring gear shaft is connected to the axle, and the power generated by the
On the other hand, the
In the present embodiment, the
The

<Operation of Embodiment>
The hybrid vehicle 10 can perform EV traveling by setting the
However, when the engine 200 (particularly, the three-
Here, with reference to FIG. 4, the details of the engine start control executed by the
In FIG. 4, the
On the other hand, when the hybrid vehicle 10 is traveling in EV (step S101: YES), the
Here, the reference value C was previously set experimentally, empirically, theoretically, or based on simulation or the like as requiring power generation by the motor generator MG1 in a region below (or below). This is the remaining amount of electricity required to start the
If the remaining power storage SOC is less than reference value C (step S102: NO),
When the remaining power storage SOC is greater than or equal to the reference value C (step S102: YES), the
When the remaining power storage SOC is less than the reference value B (step S103: NO), the
When
Here, in view of the magnitude relationship between the reference value B and the reference value C, the remaining power storage SOC should decrease below the reference value B before the remaining power storage SOC becomes less than the reference value C. If it is not warmed up, energization of the
Although the presence of the reference value B is considered to correspond to the above-described mode of determining whether energization is necessary based only on the remaining power storage SOC, the present invention negates the significance of the reference value B. Rather, the presence of the reference value B is beneficial in that the
However, as described above, there is a limit to the necessity determination of energization based on only the remaining power storage SOC in practical terms. For efficient and effective engine start, the remaining power storage SOC Therefore, it is necessary to determine whether energization is necessary in consideration of the decrease rate of the current. Therefore,
That is, when the remaining power storage SOC is greater than or equal to the reference value B (step S103: YES), the
When the remaining power storage SOC is greater than or equal to the reference value A (step S104: NO), the
On the other hand, if the remaining power SOC is less than the reference value A (step S104: YES), that is, if the remaining power SOC exists in an area that is greater than or equal to the reference value B and less than the reference value A (note that
In hybrid vehicle 10, the upper limit speed of EV traveling is defined regardless of the motor required output required for motor generator MG2 (which is unambiguous with the required output of hybrid vehicle 10 in EV traveling), The vehicle speed V is not necessarily unambiguous with the required output of the hybrid vehicle 10 (that is, even if the vehicle speed is the same, the output is low if the load is light, and the output is high if the load is high). If fixed, the higher the vehicle speed, the higher the output, and the vehicle speed V is an example of the “physical quantity corresponding to the required output” according to the present invention. Although not described in detail in the present embodiment, in the hybrid vehicle 10, when the vehicle speed V reaches the upper limit speed, the
If the vehicle speed V is greater than or equal to the reference value D0 (step S105: YES), that is, if it is determined that the rate of decrease in the remaining power storage SOC is relatively high, the
On the other hand, when the vehicle speed V is less than the reference value D0 (step S105: NO), the
The required motor output Pmtg is unambiguous with the required output of the hybrid vehicle 10 during the EV travel period. The accelerator opening Ta detected by the accelerator opening sensor 1000 (that defines the load) and the vehicle speed V And selectively acquired from a map set in advance. However, when calculating or setting the motor required output Pmtg and the required output of the hybrid vehicle 10, various modes in a known hybrid vehicle may be used.
Although not described in detail in the present embodiment, in the hybrid vehicle 10, when the motor request output Pmtg reaches the motor upper limit output, the
When the motor request output Pmtg is equal to or greater than the reference value F0 (step S106: YES), the
On the other hand, when the motor required output Pmtg is less than the reference value F0 (step S106: NO), the
If the condition related to step S107 is satisfied (step S107: YES),
Here, the effect of this embodiment will be described visually with reference to FIG. FIG. 5 is a characteristic diagram illustrating a change in the remaining power storage SOC during the execution period of the engine start control.
In FIG. 5, the vertical axis and the horizontal axis indicate the remaining power storage SOC and time, respectively. In addition, at time T1, it is assumed that the remaining power SOC is in a region higher than the reference value A (see the white circle m1 in the figure), and the remaining power SOC tends to decrease.
Here, in FIG. 5, two types of characteristics are shown depending on the required output of the hybrid vehicle 10. One is a characteristic PRF_A (refer to the solid line) corresponding to the fact that the required output is relatively low (none of steps S105, S106, and S107 is satisfied), and the other is the relatively high required output (step S105, This is a characteristic PRF_B (refer to a chain line) corresponding to the fact that either S106 or S107 is satisfied.
According to the characteristic PRF_A, the remaining power storage SOC reaches the reference value B at time T4 (see the white circle m2 in the drawing), and the remaining power storage SOC reaches the reference value C at time T5 (see the white circle m3 in the drawing). Here, according to the characteristic PRF_A, energization of the
On the other hand, according to the characteristic PRF_B, the remaining power storage SOC reaches the reference value A at time T2 (see the white circle m4 in the figure), and the remaining power storage SOC reaches the reference value C at time T3 (see the white circle m5 in the figure). Here, according to the characteristic PRF_B, the energization of the
Here, when the necessity of energizing the
In this regard, according to the present embodiment, whether or not the
In the present embodiment, there is shown a mode in which the reference value for determining whether or not to start energization changes in a binary manner between the reference value B and the reference value A, but there are more reference values. It may be set in value. That is, the reference value may be variably set in multiple steps or continuously according to the required output of the hybrid vehicle or the physical quantity corresponding thereto.
In the present invention, “more than” and “less than” are concepts that can be easily replaced with “greater (higher)” and “less than”, respectively, depending on the setting of the reference value.
