Abstract
Description
・デジタルビデオブロードキャスティング−ハンドヘルド(DVB−H)は、ヨーロッパで開発されている。これはデジタルビデオブロードキャスティング−地上(DVB−T)のハンドヘルド機器に対する適用である。
・統合サービスデジタルブロードキャスティング−地上(ISDB−T)は、日本で開発されているデジタルブロードキャスト標準であり、移動受信に適している。
・デジタルマルチメディアブロードキャスティング(DMB)は、最近(2005年7月)欧州電気通信標準化機構(ETSI)によって承認された標準である。ヨーロッパと韓国で試用が行われている。
・Forward Link Only(FLO)は、Qualcommによって構築された独自のブロードキャストネットワークである。
(1)他のテレビチャネルで何が放送されているか。
(2)将来いつこの特定の番組が再放送されるか。
(3)過去いつこの番組が放送されたか。
(4)内容的にこの番組に関連する他の番組があるか。将来いつこれらが放送されるか。
(5)視聴者が現在の番組を好む場合に他の推奨する番組があるか。
(1)出演者が誰であるか。
(2)番組中でどの俳優がどの役を演じているか。
(3)出演者、アスリート、ニュースキャスターまたは著名人に関する経歴がどうであるか。
(4)いつテレビ番組または映画が製作されたか。
(1)携帯ハンドセットのビデオプレーヤープログラムが、ネットワークから拡張されたコンテンツを要求および受信するためのGUIおよびプロトコルを含む必要がある。携帯機器でのオーバレイGUIの実装に関しては、この実装のためのプログラミング技術が当業者により理解されており、この応用例ではさらに説明する必要はないであろう。
(2)メディアサーバが、通常のテレビ番組とテレビ番組に関連する拡張されたコンテンツのストリームとを連携させるためにアップデートされる必要がある。
(3)ストレージサーバが、拡張されたコンテンツの記憶域を含み、および携帯ユーザからの対話的なレスポンスを処理し適宜これらのレスポンスを転送することができる機能と共に拡張されたコンテンツに対する要求を処理することを可能とするためにアップデートされる必要がある。
Claims (10)
- テレビ番組を受信することが可能な携帯機器に拡張されたコンテンツ情報を提供する方法であって、前記携帯機器が前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報を表示し前記携帯機器から前記拡張されたコンテンツに関する情報を伝送するための内部に組み込まれたGUIを有し、
前記携帯機器にユニキャストチャネルを提供するステップと、
前記ユニキャストチャネル経由にて、前記携帯機器で視聴されているテレビ番組に関する前記拡張されたコンテンツを伝送するステップと
を含む方法。 - 前記テレビ番組がブロードキャストチャネル経由で前記携帯機器に伝送される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- テレビ番組を受信することが可能な携帯機器に拡張されたコンテンツ情報を提供する方法であって、
前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報を表示し前記携帯機器から前記拡張されたコンテンツに関する情報を伝送するためのGUIを前記携帯機器で提供するステップと、
前記携帯機器で視聴されている前記テレビ番組に関する前記拡張されたコンテンツを受信するステップと
を含み、
前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報がユニキャストチャネル経由で前記携帯機器に提供され、前記テレビ番組がブロードキャストチャネルによって提供される、方法。 - 前記ブロードキャストチャネルがCDMA EvDOまたはメディアFLOネットワークによって提供され、前記ユニキャストチャネルがEvDOユニキャストチャネルである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ブロードキャストチャネルがGPRS/UMTSまたはDVB−Hネットワークにより提供され、前記ユニキャストチャネルがGPRS/UMTSユニキャストである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張されたコンテンツが前記携帯機器への伝送のために利用できるテレビショーに関する番組情報を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張されたコンテンツが前記テレビ番組に対する背景情報を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張されたコンテンツが出演者の情報を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報が前記テレビ番組に関する投票機能を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 装置上で受信されているテレビ番組に関する拡張されたコンテンツ情報を提供する携帯装置であって、
前記受信されているテレビ番組を処理する機能を提供するためのプロセッサと、
前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報を表示し、前記拡張されたコンテンツに関する情報を前記携帯装置から伝送することを可能にするための前記携帯装置でのGUIと
を含み、
前記拡張されたコンテンツ情報がユニキャストチャネル経由で前記携帯装置に提供され、前記テレビ番組がブロードキャストチャネルによって提供される、携帯装置。
