実際これを使用するときは、タバコをタバコフィルターくわえ部から差込み、タバコを吸わないときは、空気弁はバネの圧で押さえられ空気取り込み口を塞ぐ位置に来るため、筒の中の空洞部に副流煙が封じ込められる。タバコを吸うときは、レバーを引くことによって外気が取り込まれる。排気パイプを通し、口に含んだ煙を筒の空洞部に送り出す。吐き出す息の風圧で主流煙、空洞部の副流煙ともども排気口の出口に取り付けられた活性炭フィルター、芳香剤フィルターを通り排気される。灰と吸殻はアミに収まり外部に飛散することなく格納される。Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
