Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a separator technology used in a fuel cell and a humidifier.
In general, a separator for separating two fluids is used in a fuel cell, a humidifier or the like. FIG. 9 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a configuration of a general fuel cell. As shown in FIG. 9, the
The
FIG. 10 is an enlarged schematic cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the seal material reservoir of FIG. As shown in FIG. 10, when an excess of the sealing
If the sealing material is a thermosetting adhesive, a thermosetting process of the sealing material is required. Due to the heat of this thermosetting process, the bubbles in the seal material reservoir expand. The expanded bubbles weaken the adhesiveness of the adhesive, partially divide the adhesive, and gas leak may occur. In addition, even when the fuel cell is in operation, bubbles generated in the seal material reservoir may expand due to heat generated during power generation of the fuel cell, and gas leakage may occur as described above. In addition, a steam exchange membrane, a pair of humidifier separators sandwiching the steam exchange membrane and having a gas flow path, between the humidifier separators, and a sealant that seals between the humidifier separator and the steam exchange membrane A humidifier in which a sealing material reservoir similar to the above is formed on the sealing surface of the humidifier separator also has the same problems as described above due to bubbles generated in the sealing material reservoir. For example,

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
FIG. 1 is an exploded schematic perspective view showing an example of the configuration of a fuel cell according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a partial schematic cross-sectional view showing an example of the configuration of the fuel cell according to the embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIG. 1, an
As shown in FIG. 2, the
In the
4A to 4C are schematic cross-sectional views showing an example of the configuration of the sealing material reservoir formed on the sealing surface of the fuel cell separator. The cross-sectional view of the seal material reservoir shown in FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA shown in FIG. That is, it is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the
5A to 5D are schematic cross-sectional views showing another example of the configuration of the seal material reservoir formed on the seal surface of the fuel cell separator. The cross-sectional view of the sealing material reservoir shown in FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA shown in FIG. That is, it is a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the

As shown in FIG. 7, the
The
As shown in FIG. 8, a
