Abstract
Description
A vehicle that can uplink information such as position, speed, acceleration, etc. of the vehicle for each time is referred to as a “probe vehicle”. The present invention collects information (referred to as probe information) such as the position, speed, and acceleration of the probe vehicle at each time, analyzes the behavior of the probe vehicle based on the probe information, and calculates the traffic volume of the road from the behavior. It is related to the technology.
In order to directly measure the traffic volume, it is only necessary to install a vehicle detection sensor on the road. However, in order to measure the traffic volume on each road in detail, it is necessary to install a large number of vehicle detection sensors, which is very expensive. It will be. If the installation of the vehicle sensor is limited to some main roads, only the traffic volume of the main roads can be known, and the traffic conditions of the entire road cannot be predicted accurately.
Therefore, it has been proposed to obtain travel time using probe information of a probe vehicle traveling on a road as in
FIG. 5 is a graph showing a general relationship between the traffic volume Q and the speed V. This graph can be divided into a free flow area and a congestion area according to the degree of congestion on the road. In the free flow region, the traffic volume Q increases as the speed V decreases from the maximum speed Vm (Vm is the regulated speed of the road). The relationship is expressed almost linearly. When the speed V reaches the critical speed Vc, the traffic volume becomes maximum. The traffic volume Q at this time is called critical traffic volume Qc. The critical traffic volume Qc is the maximum traffic volume that the road can tolerate. When the speed V further decreases, it enters a traffic jam area, and the traffic volume Q decreases from the critical traffic volume Qc.
In the graph showing the relationship between the traffic volume Q and the speed V, it is known that the accuracy of traffic volume estimation deteriorates in the free flow region. Actually, if the traffic volume is measured by the vehicle detection sensor and the coordinate points determined by the traffic volume and the vehicle speed are plotted on the graph of FIG. 5, the variation of the coordinate points is remarkable in the free flow region.
In the prediction of traffic congestion on roads, it is important to grasp the traffic volume in the free flow area before an unexpected event such as an accident occurs, which leads to improvement in prediction accuracy.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a traffic volume calculation device, a traffic volume calculation program, and a traffic volume calculation method that can more accurately determine the traffic volume in a free flow state.
The traffic volume calculation device of the present invention uses a predetermined relationship between the traffic volume and the speed based on the data collection means for collecting the speed data of the vehicle traveling on the road section, and the speed collected by the data collection means, A traffic volume estimating means for estimating the traffic volume of the road section; (a) the number of times of acceleration / deceleration of the vehicle traveling on the road section or the generation time interval; and (b) the absolute acceleration of the vehicle traveling on the road section. The estimated traffic based on one or more of: (c) variation in speed of vehicles traveling on the road section; and (d) number of lane changes of the vehicle traveling on the road section. Traffic volume correction means for correcting the volume is provided (claim 1). The data collection means may directly collect speed data of a vehicle traveling on a road section, or may calculate speed based on vehicle position data and collect data of the speed.
According to the configuration of the present invention, when the traffic volume is calculated based on the speed data of the probe vehicle traveling on the road section, the degree of congestion of the road section is shown in the above (a) to (d). Based on the estimation, the traffic volume estimated using a predetermined relationship between the traffic volume and the speed can be corrected. Therefore, the calculation accuracy of traffic volume can be improved. Here, the acceleration includes both acceleration when the vehicle accelerates and acceleration when the vehicle decelerates. The sign of acceleration when the vehicle accelerates is positive, and the sign of acceleration when the vehicle decelerates is negative.
The traffic volume correction means may correct the traffic volume as the variation is larger, and the traffic volume as the variation is smaller according to the speed variation of (c). ). If the variation in speed is large, the vehicle has been accelerated and decelerated many times, so the degree of congestion in the road section can be estimated. Therefore, correction considering the variation of the speed of the probe vehicle can be performed, and the traffic volume of the road section can be calculated more accurately.
The variation in vehicle speed can be determined numerically based on, for example, the standard deviation of the vehicle speed distribution or the difference from the moving average value (claim 3).
The number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration in (a) may be the number of times when the acceleration of the vehicle is detected or calculated and the absolute value thereof exceeds a predetermined value (Claim 5). Alternatively, the number of times of acceleration / deceleration may be the number of times the brake is depressed more than a certain amount and the number of times the accelerator is depressed more than a certain amount (claim 6).
According to the number of times of acceleration / deceleration, the traffic volume correction means corrects the traffic volume as the frequency of occurrence increases and decreases as the frequency of occurrence decreases (Claim 4). This is based on the prediction that the higher the number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration, the more crowded the road, and the less the number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration, the empty the road. In this way, the traffic volume obtained using the predetermined relationship between the traffic volume and the speed can be corrected in consideration of the number of times of acceleration / deceleration, and the traffic volume of the road section can be calculated more accurately. it can.
In addition, since the number of acceleration / deceleration occurrences and the acceleration / deceleration occurrence time interval are correlated, the traffic volume correction means increases the traffic volume as the occurrence time interval is shorter according to the acceleration / deceleration occurrence time interval. The longer the generation time interval, the smaller the traffic volume may be corrected (claim 7).
The traffic volume correcting means may correct the traffic volume as the maximum value is larger and the traffic volume as the maximum value is smaller according to the maximum absolute value of the acceleration of the vehicle. Claim 8). The larger the maximum absolute value of the acceleration of the vehicle traveling on the road section is, the faster the vehicle is decelerated or accelerated. Therefore, since it can be assumed that the road is crowded, it is possible to perform correction in consideration of the maximum value of the absolute value of acceleration and calculate the traffic volume of the road section more accurately.
The traffic correction means may be configured to correct the traffic volume as the lane change count increases, and as the lane change count decreases as the lane change count, the traffic volume correction as low as possible. ). This correction is effective for roads having a plurality of lanes in the same direction, but the degree of road congestion is related to the number of lane changes. It can be said that the more vehicles that change lanes, the more crowded the road. Therefore, by correcting the traffic volume according to the number of lane changes, the traffic volume of the road section can be calculated more accurately.
The lane change can be determined based on an operation angle of a steering wheel or an operation of a direction indicator (claim 10). The determination of lane change can also be made based on vehicle position / trajectory information if a high-accuracy position recognition technology is established and a high-accuracy map database is prepared.
The traffic volume calculation program of the present invention is a program stored and executed in a computer, and is a program according to the same invention as that of the traffic volume calculation device (claim 11).
Further, the traffic volume calculation method of the present invention is a method according to the same invention as the invention of the traffic volume calculation device (claim 12).
As described above, according to the present invention, the traffic volume can be accurately calculated using the probe information collected by the probe vehicle, and investment in infrastructure facilities such as a vehicle detection sensor can be performed because the probe vehicle is used. Since it is unnecessary, the cost can be reduced, and the traffic volume can be collected for all roads on which the probe vehicle has traveled.
Further, according to the present invention, it is possible to accurately calculate the traffic volume in the normal state (free flow state), so that it is possible to accurately predict a change in traffic congestion when an unexpected event occurs.

FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the internal configuration of the
The traffic volume calculation process performed by the traffic
First, probe information is acquired from one or a plurality of probe vehicles (step S1). Based on the probe information, link matching processing (processing for causing the trajectory of the probe vehicle to follow the road section on the map) is performed (step S2), and the road section where the probe vehicle traveled and the travel time or time. Identify the belt.
Focusing on a certain road segment and a certain time zone, the speed V of the vehicle in the said road segment in the said time zone is calculated | required based on the distance and travel time which the probe vehicle traveled the said road segment (step S3). When information is collected from a plurality of probe vehicles, the average speed V of each vehicle is calculated to determine the average speed V.
Since the relationship shown in FIG. 5 is established for the speed V and the traffic volume Q, the traffic
Next, the traffic
In the case of the free flow region, the relationship between the traffic volume Q and the speed V is basically expressed by a linear expression as shown in FIG. For example, the relationship can be expressed as follows.
V=76−0.02Q,又は Q=3800−50V (1)
V = 76-0.02Q or Q = 3800-50V (1)
However, the unit of speed V is km / h, and the unit of traffic volume Q is pedestal / hour.
However, as described in [Problems to be Solved by the Invention], it is known that there is a large error in the traffic volume Q even if the speed V is applied to a linear equation.
Therefore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the value of the traffic volume Q estimated by the equation (1) is corrected by any one of the following methods (1) to (4).
(1) Number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration Based on the number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration of the vehicle traveling on the road section, the traffic volume Q is corrected.
In order to perform correction based on the number of times of acceleration / deceleration, the traffic
When the absolute value of acceleration exceeds, for example, 0.3 G (G is gravitational acceleration), the number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration is counted as one. When a plurality of probe vehicles are traveling on the road section, an average value, maximum value, mode value, percentile value, etc. of the number of times of acceleration / deceleration of each probe vehicle are assumed.
Also, instead of obtaining acceleration, taking into account vehicle auxiliary information (brake information, accelerator information) during travel, the number of times the brake was depressed more than a certain amount and the number of times the accelerator was depressed more than a certain amount were taken as the number of acceleration / deceleration occurrences Also good.
Next, the traffic volume is corrected. The number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration of the probe vehicle is compared with a specified number (threshold value) over the road section (step S7). For example, when it is 0 times or more and less than 1 time, the vehicle is considered to flow smoothly, and the corrected traffic volume Q ′ is set to Q ′ = 0.8Q (step S8). When the number of acceleration / deceleration occurrences is 1 or more and less than 2, Q ′ = Q. When the number of acceleration / deceleration occurrences is 2 or more, Q ′ = 1.2Q is set (step S9). The once and twice are threshold values. In addition, the value of the coefficient multiplied by the threshold value and the traffic volume Q is an example, and it is desirable to set an appropriate value depending on the length of the road section or the like. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. The same determination is made for other road sections (step S10), and the same determination is made in other time zones.
In this way, it is evaluated by the number of acceleration / deceleration occurrences whether the traffic is flowing smoothly in each time zone for each road section, and according to the number of occurrences of acceleration / deceleration, the greater the number of occurrences, the greater the traffic volume Q. In addition, the smaller the number of occurrences, the smaller the traffic volume Q can be corrected. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted.
(1 ′) Acceleration / Deceleration Time Interval As a modification of (1), an acceleration / deceleration time interval may be obtained instead of the number of acceleration occurrences. When a plurality of probe vehicles are traveling on a road section, an average value, a maximum value, a mode value, a percentile value, and the like of the acceleration / deceleration occurrence time intervals of each probe vehicle are assumed.
The correction formula compares the occurrence time interval T (minutes) of acceleration / deceleration in the road section with a threshold value. The following 1 minute and 3 minutes are threshold values.
T <1: Q ′ = 1.2Q
1 ≦ T <3: Q ′ = Q
3 ≦ T: Q ′ = 0.8Q
And According to the above formula, when acceleration / deceleration occurs on average within 1 minute, the road is considered to be crowded, and the traffic volume Q is corrected to be larger. When acceleration / deceleration occurs on average at intervals of 3 minutes or more, it is considered that the road is vacant and the traffic volume Q is corrected slightly. No correction is made when acceleration / deceleration occurs at intervals of 1 minute or more and less than 3 minutes. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted. In addition, the threshold value (1 minute, 3 minutes) compared with the acceleration / deceleration occurrence time interval T and the value (1.2, 0.8) of the coefficient multiplied by the traffic volume Q are examples, and depending on the length of the road section, etc. It is desirable to set an appropriate value.
(2) Maximum absolute value of acceleration A is the maximum absolute value of acceleration in the road section. When a plurality of probe vehicles are traveling on a road section, the average value, maximum value, mode value, percentile value, etc. of the maximum value A of the absolute value of acceleration of each probe vehicle are assumed. The traffic volume Q is corrected according to the maximum value A of the absolute value. The following 0.2G and 0.3G compared with the maximum value A are threshold values.
A<0.2G : Q′=0.8Q
0.2G≦A<0.3G : Q′=Q
0.3G≦A : Q′=1.2Q
A <0.2G: Q '= 0.8Q
0.2G ≦ A <0.3G: Q ′ = Q
0.3G ≦ A: Q ′ = 1.2Q
This correction method evaluates the traffic flow with the maximum absolute value of the generated acceleration. For example, when the vehicle depresses the brake strongly or accelerates strongly, a large maximum value A is generated. Therefore, it is considered that the road section is crowded, and the traffic volume Q is corrected to be large. If the vehicle is always lightly braking and accelerating, the maximum value A is small, so that the road section is regarded as vacant and the traffic volume Q is corrected slightly. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted. Further, the threshold values (0.2G, 0.3G) to be compared with the maximum value A of the acceleration and the coefficient values (1.2, 0.8) to be multiplied by the traffic volume Q are examples, and values set appropriately. is there.
(3) Speed variation Traffic volume can be corrected according to speed variations.
The variation in speed can be expressed by various indexes. First, the case where it is expressed by the standard deviation σ will be described.
In general, when the statistical data is xi (i = 1, 2,..., N), the average value μ and the standard deviation σ are calculated as follows.
μ = Σ (xi/N),
σ2= (Σ (xi - μ)2)/(N−1)
μ = Σ (xi / N),
σ 2 = (Σ (xi-μ) 2 ) / (N-1)
The traffic volume Q is corrected in accordance with the standard deviation σ (unit: km / h) of the speed V of the probe vehicle in the road section. When a plurality of probe vehicles are traveling on a road section, the average value, maximum value, mode value, percentile value, etc. of the standard deviation σ of the speed of each probe vehicle are assumed. In the following formula, 6 km / h and 10 km / h are threshold values.
σ < 6 : Q′=0.8Q
6 ≦ σ < 10 : Q′=Q
10 ≦ σ : Q′=1.2Q
σ <6: Q ′ = 0.8Q
6 ≦ σ <10: Q ′ = Q
10 ≦ σ: Q ′ = 1.2Q
According to this equation, when the vehicle does not frequently accelerate and decelerate and the standard deviation σ is small, that is, the speed variation is small, the road is considered relatively free and the traffic volume is corrected to be small. When the vehicle frequently accelerates and decelerates and the standard deviation σ is large, that is, the speed variation is large, the road is considered to be relatively crowded and the traffic volume is corrected to be large. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted.
速度データをxi(i=1,2,...,N)とし、その移動平均値をx’i(i=1,2,...,N)とする。
The threshold value (6 km / h, 10 km / h) to be compared with the standard deviation σ and the coefficient value (1.2, 0.8) multiplied by the traffic volume Q are examples.
Next, the case where “difference from moving average value” is used as an index for evaluating the variation in speed will be described in detail. The speed data is xi (i = 1, 2,..., N), and the moving average value is x′i (i = 1, 2,..., N). The average number of times when the moving average is taken can be arbitrarily selected, for example, the latest five times. The method of taking the moving average may be a simple five-time average, but in addition to that, the more recent data may be weighted, or the previous moving average value may be added to the current moving average value.
M=SQRT{ (1/N)Σ (xi- x’i )2}
When the moving average value is obtained, the mean square deviation (hereinafter referred to as “difference average value”) M of the difference between the speed data xi and the moving average value x′i is calculated as follows (the sum Σ is 1). To N).
M = SQRT {(1 / N) Σ (xi-x'i) 2 }
It can be considered that the larger the difference average value M, the greater the variation in speed and the greater the traffic volume. Therefore, the traffic volume Q is corrected according to the value of each speed and the difference average value M. For example, in the following formula, 2 km / h and 4 km / h are set as threshold values.
M<2 : Q′=0.8Q
2≦M< 4 : Q′=Q
4≦M : Q′=1.2Q
M <2: Q ′ = 0.8Q
2 ≦ M <4: Q ′ = Q
4 ≦ M: Q ′ = 1.2Q
According to this equation, when the vehicle does not frequently accelerate and decelerate and the difference average value M is small, that is, the speed variation is small, the road is considered to be relatively free and the traffic volume is corrected to be small. When the vehicle frequently accelerates and decelerates and the difference average value M is large, that is, the speed variation is large, the road is considered to be relatively crowded and the traffic volume is corrected to be large. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted.
In the above example, the standard deviation σ and the difference average value M are given as indexes for evaluating the speed variation, but other than this, a range, a kurtosis, or the like may be used.
(4) Number of lane changes The traffic volume Q is corrected according to the number of lane changes in a road section having a plurality of lanes in the same direction. When a plurality of probe vehicles are traveling on a road section, the average value, maximum value, mode value, percentile value, etc. of the number of lane changes of each probe vehicle are assumed.
Lane change can be determined based on the steering operation angle of the vehicle. That is, when the steering is straight, turn the steering wheel to the right or left over a certain angle, hold that state for a predetermined time range, and then turn the steering wheel in the reverse direction over a certain angle, hold that state for a predetermined time range, and then return straight In this case, it can be counted as one lane change.
Further, the lane change may be determined in consideration of vehicle auxiliary information (direction indicator information) at the time of traveling. The right or left direction indicator is operated, the state is maintained for a predetermined time range, and then the lane change count is counted once when the direction indicator is released. The determination of lane change can also be made based on vehicle position / trajectory information if a high-accuracy position recognition technology is established and a high-accuracy map database is prepared.
Even when the vehicle turns right or left, since the vehicle lights the direction indicator, there is a possibility that a right or left turn is erroneously detected as a lane change. Therefore, in this case, it is preferable not to calculate the traffic volume based on the probe information at a place close to the intersection or the branch point due to the characteristics of the shape of the road section such as the intersection or the branch point (the conditions for not calculating the traffic volume will be described later). ). This eliminates the possibility of erroneously detecting a right or left turn as a lane change.
The correction of traffic volume Q depends on the number of lane changes N,
N <1: Q ′ = 0.8Q
1 ≦ N <2: Q ′ = Q
2 ≦ N: Q ′ = 1.2Q
This is done. The once and twice are threshold values. When most vehicles do not change lanes, that is, when the number of lane changes N is less than 1, it is considered that the road is relatively free and the traffic volume is corrected to be smaller. When the vehicle has changed lanes twice or more, it is considered that the road is relatively crowded and the traffic volume is corrected to be larger. However, the corrected traffic volume Q ′ does not exceed the saturated traffic volume Qc. Instead of adding a constant value to the traffic volume Q, a constant value may be added or subtracted.
(5) Items to be considered when correcting traffic volume Considering light information, ABS operation information, and wiper information among the vehicle auxiliary information during travel, lights are turned on (nighttime), and ABS is operated (freezing) ) When the wiper is activated (rainy weather), the overall traveling speed is low, so the acceleration / deceleration frequency threshold, acceleration / deceleration time interval threshold, acceleration maximum threshold, and speed variation The threshold value and the threshold value of the number of lane changes (these threshold values are collectively referred to as “various threshold values”) may be determined to be smaller than usual.
In addition, various threshold values may be changed in consideration of the state of the external environment (weather information, day / night, etc.). For example, since the traveling speed is low during rainy days and nights, the determination may be made with various threshold values smaller than usual.
In addition, various thresholds are considered in consideration of the road type of the road section (highway (between cities, in the city) / national road / main road / narrow street, etc.), link type (main line / connecting road / ramp road, etc.), and road width. The value may be changed. For example, the threshold value for each type is as follows.
Road type: Intercity highway> Intracity highway> National highway> Main road> Narrow street Link type: Main line> Connected road> Ramp road Road width: Wide road> Narrow road.
Further, various threshold values may be changed in consideration of the road shape (straight line, curve point, before curve, uphill, downhill, etc.). For example, the threshold value for each shape is as follows.
Road shape: Main line (down)> Main line (up)> Before curve> Curve point.
Considering the characteristics of road sections (presence / absence of traffic lights, intersections, branch points, lane number change points, curve points before, tunnels, railroad crossings, toll gates), for example, in front of traffic lights, branch points, lane number change points It is preferable to stop the calculation of traffic volume at the front of the curve point, tunnel, railroad crossing, and toll gate. This is because in such a place, a large acceleration occurs or the traveling direction of the vehicle changes greatly, which is not suitable for correcting the traffic volume.
In addition, past driving information is maintained for each driver, and for drivers who frequently travel on the road section, statistics on the correlation between the number of acceleration / deceleration of the driver and the standard deviation of speed and the actual traffic volume. Data may be created, and the traffic volume may be estimated by comparing information traveled by the driver with statistical data.
As described above, the traffic
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above-described embodiments. For example, in the description so far, the QV relational expression of the road section is linearly approximated in the same form for any road section, but the slope of the straight line, the intercept, etc. It is preferable to set the optimum value according to the city highway and general road). Further, not only linear approximation, but also a curve equation calculated by a least square method based on measured data measured in advance may be used as an approximation equation. In addition, the Q-V relational expression is set not only for each road type (for example, intercity highway, intracity highway, general road), but also the actual value of traffic volume for each route (eg national highway number). The QV relational expression may be created from the velocity information obtained from the probe information.
