Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an observation apparatus for observing a specimen from an oblique direction.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an observation apparatus that can obtain an observation image when a sample is observed from a predetermined direction without tilting the observation optical axis or the sample is known. In this observation apparatus, a diaphragm plate having an aperture hole at a position decentered from the observation optical axis is provided on the rear focal plane of the objective lens, whereby the specimen is observed from a direction inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the observation optical axis. An observation image is obtained.
By the way, when observing a specimen from a predetermined direction, coaxial epi-illumination that can sufficiently illuminate the inner surface of the concave portion of the specimen is suitable. In the conventional observation apparatus, in order to prevent the illumination light from being blocked by the diaphragm plate when performing coaxial epi-illumination, an optical path dividing element such as a half mirror or a beam splitter is provided between the objective lens and the diaphragm plate. It was. However, when using a high-magnification objective lens or a high numerical aperture objective lens, the back focus (distance from the rear end of the objective lens to the rear focal position) is short, so an optical path splitting element is provided between the objective lens and the aperture plate. There are cases where space is limited and it is difficult to construct a coaxial epi-illumination. For this reason, when performing coaxial epi-illumination, there was a problem that usable objective lenses were limited.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and provides an observation apparatus capable of performing coaxial epi-illumination without being restricted by the numerical aperture and magnification of an objective lens when obliquely observing a specimen. With the goal.
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, an observation apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a diaphragm plate on a substantially rear focal plane of an objective lens, and the specimen is measured through an aperture hole formed in the diaphragm plate. In the observation device according to the present invention as set forth in the invention described above, the insertion / removal means inserts / removes the diaphragm plate having a different position of the opening hole with respect to the observation optical path.

The observation device according to the present invention is the observation device according to the above-described invention, disposed between the optical path splitting element and the imaging lens, and having a polarization direction perpendicular to a polarization direction of linearly polarized light polarized by the polarizer. A special analyzer is provided.
In the observation apparatus according to the present invention, the illumination light emitted from the epi-illumination light source passes through the illumination lens, is converted into linearly polarized light by the polarizer, passes through the optical path dividing element and the diaphragm plate, and is brought into an afocal state by the objective lens. The observation light reflected by the sample after being converted into circularly polarized light by the phase difference plate and reflected by the sample is converted into linearly polarized light in a direction perpendicular to the polarization direction of the illumination light by the phase difference plate. Since only the observation light incident on the aperture hole passes through the aperture plate and reaches the imaging lens, an optical path splitting element can be arranged between the incident light source and the aperture plate, so that the numerical aperture and magnification of the objective lens are not reduced. This produces an effect that the coaxial epi-illumination can be performed.
Hereinafter, an observation apparatus which is the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments. In the description of the drawings, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals.
(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an external configuration of the observation apparatus according to the first embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the observation apparatus according to the first embodiment includes a
The
The
Next, the
A
A
In addition, the
The
Further, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Next, the optical path of the illumination light will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an optical path of illumination light. The illumination light emitted from the
In FIG. 5, only the optical path of the illumination light on the illumination optical axis L1 is illustrated with the
Next, the optical path of the observation light will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an optical path of observation light emitted from the center of the
Note that an observation image of the
That is, in the observation apparatus according to the first embodiment, the
By the way, the
According to the first embodiment, it is possible to perform the coaxial epi-illumination by arranging the
In the first embodiment, the
(Modification)
Next, a modification of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in FIG. 9, the observation apparatus according to this modification includes an
(Embodiment 2)
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the first embodiment, the observation direction of the specimen is changed by exchanging the
The observation apparatus according to the second embodiment includes an

The optical
The
As shown in FIG. 13, the control unit 8 is electrically connected to the
If the polarization directions of the
According to the second embodiment, the position of the
The pupil
