Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a camera system and an interchangeable lens, and more particularly to a camera system and an interchangeable lens used for a digital single lens reflex camera.
In recent years, digital single-lens reflex cameras are rapidly spreading. In this digital single-lens reflex camera, when an object is observed using an optical viewfinder, light incident on the imaging optical system is reflected by a reflecting mirror disposed on the optical path and guided to the viewfinder optical system. As a result, the subject image is converted into an erect image via a pentaprism or the like and guided to the optical viewfinder. Thus, the photographer can observe the subject image formed by the imaging optical system from the optical viewfinder. As described above, the reflection mirror is usually arranged on the optical path.
On the other hand, when an optical image of a subject is converted into an image signal, the reflecting mirror is retracted from the optical path, and light from the imaging optical system enters the imaging element. Thereby, photoelectric conversion is performed in the image sensor, and image data of the subject is obtained. When the photographing is finished, the reflecting mirror is inserted on the optical path and returns to the home position. The operation of such a reflective mirror is the same for a conventional silver salt camera or a digital camera as long as it is a single-lens reflex camera.
Therefore, a digital single-lens reflex camera that can shoot using a liquid crystal monitor at the time of shooting has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this camera system, in the monitor photographing mode, the reflecting mirror is retracted out of the optical path, and light from the imaging optical system enters the imaging device. As a result, the subject can be observed on the liquid crystal monitor.
A conventional interchangeable lens is equipped with a direct current motor (DC motor) for driving the focus lens.
However, it is difficult for the DC motor to improve the position accuracy of the focus lens, and the DC motor lacks silence.
Accordingly, it has been proposed to employ the ultrasonic motor described in Patent Document 1 as an interchangeable lens (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Further, it has been proposed to use an ultrasonic motor for driving the focus lens in the auto focus mode (AF mode) and the manual focus mode (MF mode).
However, since the ultrasonic motor has a higher drive voltage than the conventional DC motor, the power consumption is relatively large. In addition, the driving characteristics of the ultrasonic motor are likely to change according to the environmental temperature, and the power consumption may increase accordingly.
In the MF mode, since the photographer can freely operate the focus lens, the focus lens drive time is longer than in the AF mode. For this reason, in the MF mode, the power consumption of the ultrasonic motor increases.
As described above, when an ultrasonic motor is used, power consumption may increase. However, a camera system and an interchangeable lens that can save power while using the ultrasonic motor have not yet been proposed.
An object of the present invention is to provide a camera system and an interchangeable lens that can save power.
A camera system according to a first invention includes an interchangeable lens and a camera body. The lens barrel is a mechanism that supports the imaging optical system, and includes a focus lens support frame that supports the focus lens so as to be movable in a direction along the optical axis. The piezoelectric actuator drives the focus lens support frame. The information input unit can input position information of the focus lens. The lens control unit controls the operation of the piezoelectric actuator. The camera body includes an imaging unit that converts an optical image into an image signal, a focus detection unit, and a body control unit that can transmit and receive information to and from the lens control unit and control the operation of the imaging unit. When controlling the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the position information input to the information input unit, the lens control unit performs control different from the case of controlling the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the detection result of the focus detection unit.

In this camera system, when the operation of the piezoelectric actuator is controlled based on the position information input to the information input unit, the lens control unit is configured to control the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the detection result of the focus detection unit. Do different controls. That is, the control method of the operation of the piezoelectric actuator differs between the AF mode and the MF mode. As a result, the optimum piezoelectric actuator control method can be selected for the AF mode with a short drive time of the piezoelectric actuator and the MF mode with a long drive time, respectively, and power saving can be achieved.

When the detected temperature is lower than the reference temperature, the adjustment unit raises the lower limit value of the drive frequency region above the reference lower limit value according to the detected temperature.
In the camera system according to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the camera system according to the fourth aspect of the invention, when the detected temperature is higher than the reference temperature, the adjustment unit lowers the drive voltage from the reference voltage according to the detected temperature.

When the detection speed is slower than the reference speed, the adjustment unit increases the drive voltage above the reference voltage according to the detection speed.
The camera system according to an eighth aspect is the camera system according to the seventh aspect, wherein the comparison unit can compare the drive voltage adjusted by the adjustment unit with a predetermined voltage region. When the adjusted driving voltage is higher than the predetermined voltage region, the adjusting unit changes the driving frequency of the piezoelectric actuator according to the adjusted driving voltage.
A camera system according to a ninth aspect is the camera system according to the first aspect, wherein the lens control unit includes an adjustment unit that adjusts at least one of a drive frequency and a drive voltage of the piezoelectric actuator. When the lens control unit controls the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the position information input to the information input unit, the adjustment unit mainly adjusts the drive voltage.
Here, “mainly adjusting the driving frequency” means that the control of the operation of the piezoelectric actuator greatly depends on the driving frequency. “Mainly adjusting the driving voltage” means that the control of the operation of the piezoelectric actuator depends largely on the driving voltage.
An interchangeable lens according to a tenth aspect of the invention is used in a camera system together with a camera body having a focus detection unit. This interchangeable lens has an imaging optical system, a lens barrel, a piezoelectric actuator, an information input unit, and a lens control unit. The imaging optical system has a focus lens and forms an optical image of the subject. The lens barrel is a mechanism that supports the imaging optical system, and includes a focus lens support frame that supports the focus lens so as to be movable in a direction along the optical axis. The piezoelectric actuator drives the focus lens support frame. The information input unit can input position information of the focus lens. When controlling the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the position information input to the information input unit, the lens control unit performs control different from the case of controlling the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the detection result of the focus detection unit.
In this interchangeable lens, when the operation of the piezoelectric actuator is controlled based on the position information input to the information input unit, the lens control unit is configured to control the operation of the piezoelectric actuator based on the detection result of the focus detection unit. Do different controls. That is, the control method of the operation of the piezoelectric actuator differs between the AF mode and the MF mode. As a result, the optimum piezoelectric actuator control method can be selected for each of the AF mode in which the driving time of the piezoelectric actuator is short and the MF mode in which the driving time is long, and power saving can be achieved.

FIG. 5 shows the drive frequency-speed characteristics when the drive voltage of the
For example, in the auto focus (AF) mode, it is preferable to end the focusing operation quickly and accurately, and a driving speed for quickly moving the

Moreover, the electrostatic capacitance C of the
<3: Control method of ultrasonic motor>
As described above, since the power consumption of the ultrasonic motor changes according to the environmental temperature, it is necessary to suppress the power consumption of the
Therefore, in the camera system 1, the control method of the
(3.1: AF mode)
Specifically, in the AF mode using the lowest frequency F1 and the highest frequency F2, the ambient temperature around the
For example, as shown in FIG. 9, at high temperatures, the power consumption may exceed the allowable power consumption Wa around the maximum frequency F2, so the minimum frequency F2 is lowered to the frequency F6 according to the detected temperature. That is, the minimum rotational speed R2 of the
Further, at low temperatures, the power consumption may exceed the allowable power consumption Wa around the minimum frequency F1, so the minimum frequency F1 is lowered to the frequency F5 according to the detected temperature. That is, the maximum rotational speed R1 of the
The
Thus, in this camera system 1, it is possible to prevent the power consumption from exceeding the allowable power consumption Wa by changing the drive frequency region according to the detected temperature.
Furthermore, in order to ensure a wide driving frequency region, it is conceivable to reduce the driving voltage at high temperatures. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 9, when the drive voltage is lowered according to the detected temperature at a high temperature, the power consumption curve is lowered as a whole. For this reason, the power consumption around the drive frequency F2 decreases, and the frequency corresponding to the set power consumption Wb becomes a frequency F8 higher than the frequency F6. For this reason, by reducing the drive voltage in accordance with the detected temperature at a high temperature, the drive frequency region can be expanded as compared with the case described above.
At high temperatures, a friction coefficient between the stator and the rotor is ensured, so that vibration generated by the piezoelectric element is easily transmitted to the rotor. Therefore, desired drive characteristics can be ensured even when the drive voltage is lowered at high temperatures.
(3.2: MF mode)
In the AF mode, since the
However, in the MF mode, since the driving time of the
For example, as shown in FIG. 10, in the MF mode, the
However, for example, as shown in FIG. 11, when the
As described above, in the MF mode, a control method capable of continuously driving for a long time while reducing power consumption is required.
Therefore, the camera system 1 employs a voltage speed control method in the MF mode. FIG. 12 shows the relationship between the drive frequency and the rotational speed by speed control using voltage.
As shown in FIG. 12, three types of rotation speeds Rm1, Rm2, and Rm3 can be realized by adjusting the drive voltage while keeping the drive frequency at an optimum value. For example, when the rotation speed Rm1 is realized, the average value of the highest voltage V1 and the lowest voltage V2 is set as the drive voltage Vn, and the drive frequency Fm1 corresponding to the rotation speed Rm1 at the drive voltage Vn is calculated by the
At this time, for example, even if the rotation speed Rm1 changes due to a change in environmental temperature, the voltage Vn is adjusted accordingly. Specifically, for example, the driving speed of the
In this way, by performing speed control with voltage centered on the drive voltage Vn, which is an approximately intermediate value between the highest voltage V1 and the lowest voltage V2, power consumption can be reduced compared to the AF mode at any drive speed. Even when continuous driving is performed for a long time, the power consumption can be suppressed as shown by the power consumption curve C2 shown in FIG.
However, since the drive frequency is fixed in the speed control based on the voltage, a change in the drive frequency-speed characteristic due to a change in the environmental temperature becomes a problem. As shown in FIG. 8, the drive frequency-speed characteristic of the
FIG. 13 shows the relationship between the driving voltage and the rotation speed with respect to temperature change. As shown in FIG. 14, when the driving frequency is set to a certain value, the rotational speed of the
Therefore, when speed control is performed using voltage, the drive frequency can be set to a drive frequency suitable for the environmental temperature by adjusting the drive frequency according to the detection speed of the
For example, as shown in FIG. 13, drive voltage thresholds Vt1 and Vt2 are set within a range of variable supply voltages V1 to V2. The threshold value Vt1 is set slightly smaller than the highest voltage V1, and the threshold value Vt2 is set slightly larger than the lowest voltage V2. Then, when the drive voltage exceeds the threshold value Vt1 to Vt2 in the speed control by voltage, the drive frequency is adjusted so that the drive voltage falls within the threshold value Vt1 to Vt2.
Specifically, the
When the drive voltage is higher than the threshold value Vt1, the
As described above, the driving voltage can be kept within the range of the threshold values Vt1 to Vt2 by using the control based on the frequency in an auxiliary manner, and the power consumption can be further stabilized.

When the detected temperature Td is higher than the reference temperature Ts, the power consumption curve shifts as shown in FIG. 9, and therefore the upper limit value of the drive frequency region is set to the frequency F6 lower than the maximum frequency F2 by the adjusting unit 48 ( S21, S22). At this time, the
Further, by reducing the drive voltage, the frequency F6 can be kept as high as possible, and a wide drive frequency region can be secured. Therefore, when the frequency F6 is calculated, the
Further, when the detected temperature Td is lower than the reference temperature Ts, the power consumption curve shifts as shown in FIG. 9, and therefore the lower limit value of the drive frequency region is set to the frequency F5 higher than the lowest frequency F1 (S23, S24). At this time, the
After the drive frequency region is adjusted based on the detection temperature Td, focus detection is performed in the focus detection unit 5 (S25). Specifically, the defocus amount is detected by the
On the other hand, when it is determined that the in-focus state is not achieved, driving of the
The
Since the upper limit value F2 or the lower limit value F1 of the drive frequency is adjusted by the
When the detection distance Ld reaches the command distance Lc, the

As shown in FIG. 16, based on the rotation angle and rotation angle of the
Next, the driving of the
As a result, even when the environmental temperature changes, the detected rotational speed Rd can be made substantially coincident with the command rotational speed Rc while the drive frequency Fc is fixed at a constant value.
Furthermore, in order to prevent the change width of the drive voltage Vc from increasing, frequency control is used supplementarily. Specifically, after adjustment of the drive voltage Vc, the
This can reliably prevent the drive voltage Vc from exceeding the range of the maximum voltage V1 and the minimum voltage V2.

In addition to the voltage control described above, frequency control is performed supplementarily. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 16, it is monitored whether the drive voltage Vc is within the range of threshold values Vt1 to Vt2, and when the drive voltage Vc is out of the above range, driving is performed according to the drive voltage Vc. The frequency Fc is adjusted (S37 to S40). As a result, the drive voltage Vc can be reliably prevented from exceeding the range of the maximum voltage V1 and the minimum voltage V2, and the power consumption is further stabilized.
