Description

The present invention relates to a compound writing instrument having a plurality of writing tips, particularly at least one of which is a ballpoint pen.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a so-called double writing instrument having a plurality of writing bodies in one shaft cylinder has been provided. As this compound writing instrument, a so-called “multicolored ballpoint pen” is known which is equipped with a multicolored ballpoint pen refill. Further, not only ballpoint pens but also those including mechanical pencils as cursive materials are provided.
The general structure of such a compound writing instrument is as follows. That is, as many slide buttons as the number of cursive letters are prepared on the outer periphery near the rear end of the shaft cylinder. At the time of writing, if the slide button corresponding to the desired color or writing style is moved in the tip direction, the writing tip corresponding to it protrudes from the tip of the shaft cylinder, and the writing style is fixed by the locking of the slide button, and writing is possible Become. In such a dual-type writing instrument, the writing bodies are almost evenly arranged around the axis of the writing instrument. Gradually approached and led out from the tip. Accordingly, the writing tip may adhere to the inner wall of the tip of the barrel during feeding. As a result, when the shaft tube is formed of a transparent material, the inner wall of the tip of the shaft tube is stained with ink, and the appearance is deteriorated.

The invention described in Patent Document 1 below attempts to solve this problem. In the present invention, the inclination of the inner wall of the tip of the shaft cylinder is made smaller than the inclination of the so-called tapered portion near the tip of the writing body so that the writing tip does not touch the inner wall of the tip of the shaft cylinder.
In addition, as an attempt to position the writing tip to the inside of the extension line of the inclination of the tapered portion, cutting is performed so that the tip side of the tapered portion is convex inward as in the invention described in Patent Document 2 below. And what reduced the diameter so that the cross-sectional shape of the part may become a substantially L shape is disclosed.
JP 2003-48397 A (FIGS. 1 and 5) Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-315075 (FIG. 1)

The writing tip of the ballpoint pen may be soiled with ink bottling or the like. In the above-mentioned prior art, an attempt is made to prevent the tip of the writing tip, in particular, the tip from adhering to the inner wall of the tip of the shaft tube. However, since the ink stick adheres to the outside of the caulking portion, it is assumed that the ink stick contacts even when the writing tip does not contact the inner wall of the shaft tip. In this case, dirt on the inner wall of the tip of the shaft cylinder is inevitable.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention is a dual-type writing instrument including a ballpoint pen as a writing body. It is an object of the present invention to prevent this from coming into contact with the inner wall at the tip end of the shaft cylinder even if dirt is attached.

In view of the above problems, the present invention is a dual writing instrument 60 equipped with at least one ballpoint pen refill 10,
The ballpoint pen tip 30 attached to the tip of the ballpoint pen refill 10 is composed of a writing ball 40 and a holder 31 for holding the writing ball 40,
At the tip of the holder 31,
Tapered tapered portion 34,
A first reduced diameter portion 36, which is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so that a boundary between the tapered portion 34 and the tapered portion 34 forms a mountain line on the tip side of the tapered portion 34;
A second reduced diameter portion 37 that is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so that the boundary with the first reduced diameter portion 36 forms a valley line on the distal end side of the first reduced diameter portion 36;
A third reduced diameter portion 38, which is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so that the boundary with the second reduced diameter portion 37 forms a mountain line on the distal end side of the second reduced diameter portion 37;
A fourth reduced diameter portion 39, which is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so that the boundary with the third reduced diameter portion 38 forms a valley line on the distal end side of the third reduced diameter portion 38;
A caulking portion 35 that holds the writing ball 40 by plastically deforming the tip of the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 inward is formed.

The holder 31 is formed as follows, for example.
For example, the tapered portion 34 is formed by cutting the tip of a stainless steel columnar material into a substantially conical shape. Next, a back hole serving as an ink flow path is drilled from the rear end side, and a ball house in which the writing ball is stored is cut from the front end side, and the ink hole connecting them is penetrated.
Then, the first reduced diameter portion 36 and the second reduced diameter portion 37 are simultaneously formed by cutting the tip end side of the tapered portion 34 so as to be convex inward. Here, with respect to the tapered portion 34, the first reduced diameter portion 36 is a tapered surface that is reduced inwardly, and the boundary with the tapered portion 34 forms a mountain line. In other words, the tapered portion 34 and the first reduced diameter portion 36 have a substantially L shape or a substantially V shape that protrudes outward. On the other hand, the boundary between the first reduced diameter portion 36 and the second reduced diameter portion 37 forms a valley line. In other words, the first reduced diameter portion 36 and the second reduced diameter portion 37 are formed in a substantially L shape or a substantially V shape that protrudes inward.

Further, the third reduced diameter portion 38 and the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 are simultaneously formed by cutting the distal end side of the second reduced diameter portion 37 so as to be convex inward. With respect to the second reduced diameter portion 37, the third reduced diameter portion 38 has a tapered surface that is reduced inwardly, and the boundary with the second reduced diameter portion 37 forms a mountain line. In other words, the second reduced diameter portion 37 and the third reduced diameter portion 38 form a substantially L shape or a substantially V shape that protrudes outward. On the other hand, the boundary between the third reduced diameter portion 38 and the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 forms a valley line. In other words, the third reduced diameter portion 38 and the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 form a substantially L shape or a substantially V shape that is convex inward.
Then, after inserting a writing ball 40 made of, for example, cemented carbide into the ball house, the tip of the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 is plastically deformed inward to form the crimped portion 35. Thereby, the writing ball 40 is held so as not to fall.

In this way, by providing the combination of the tapered surfaces that are convex inward in two stages, the caulking portion 35 is positioned sufficiently on the inner side of the extension line of the tapered portion 34.
It is desirable that the taper angle with respect to the axial center of the inner end 72 of the cylindrical tube of the double writing instrument 60 is substantially equal to the taper angle of the tapered portion 34. By doing so, only the tapered portion 34 is in contact with the inner end wall 72 of the shaft tube, and the crimping portion 35 and the writing ball 40 are not in contact.
Further, when the tapered portion 34 is in contact with the inner end wall 72 of the shaft tube, the distance between the inner wall 72 of the shaft tube and the caulking portion 34 is preferably 0.15 mm or more and 0.4 mm or less. Here, the size of the ink bot that adheres to the caulking portion 34 is usually less than 0.15 mm, and an ink bottom of 0.15 mm or more adheres as a stroke of a drawn line when writing. Therefore, if the lower limit value of this distance is 0.15 mm, the ink stub does not adhere to the inner wall 72 of the shaft tube tip. However, if this distance exceeds 0.4 mm, the writing ball 40 is hidden by the tapered portion 34 during writing, and writing becomes difficult. Therefore, this distance is desirably 0.4 mm or less.

With the above-described configuration, the crimped portion is positioned sufficiently inside the extension line of the tapered portion by the two-stage reduced diameter portion that is convex inward. Therefore, when the taper portion is in contact with the inner wall of the tip end of the shaft tube, the caulking portion is kept at a sufficient distance from the inner wall of the tip end of the shaft tube. As a result, not only the writing tip but also dirt such as ink bottling adheres to the inner wall of the tip of the shaft tube, and the inner wall of the tip of the shaft tube can be prevented from being stained.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a side sectional view showing a dual writing instrument 60 according to one embodiment of the present invention.
A plurality of ballpoint pen refills 10 are accommodated in the shaft cylinder 70. One of them protrudes from the tip 71 of the barrel by the movement of the slide button 75. It should be noted that the mechanism of the intrusion from the tip 71 of the writing tube is omitted in this case.
Each ball-point pen refill 10 is formed by attaching a ball-point pen tip 30 to the tip of the ink storage tube 15 via a joint 20, as shown in a front view (A) and a front sectional view (B) in FIG. The ink storage tube 15 is formed as a polypropylene tube. The joint 20 is made of polybutylene terephthalate resin, and the latter half is press-fitted into the tip of the ink containing tube 15. An internal space of the joint 20 is a valve chamber 21 in which a valve body 22 which is a stainless steel sphere is loosely fitted for the purpose of preventing the backflow of ink.

As shown in the front view of FIG. 3, the ball-point pen tip 30 includes a holder 31 formed by cutting a stainless steel cylindrical material and a writing ball that is a sphere made of cemented carbide held at the tip of the holder 31. It consists of 40 and. The holder 31 is divided into a small-diameter tip connecting portion 32 that is press-fitted into the tip of the joint 20 and a large-diameter tip exposing portion 33. The tip end side of the chip exposed portion 33 is a tapered portion 34 that is tapered and cut into a substantially conical shape. Further, at the tip portion of the tapered portion 34, a first reduced diameter portion 36 which is a tapered surface whose diameter is reduced so that the boundary with the tapered portion forms a mountain line, and the boundary with the first reduced diameter portion 36 is a valley line. A second reduced diameter portion 37 that is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so as to form a third reduced diameter portion 38 that is a tapered surface that is reduced in diameter so that a boundary with the second reduced diameter portion 37 forms a mountain line; A fourth reduced diameter portion 39, which is a tapered surface whose diameter is reduced so that the boundary with the third reduced diameter portion 38 forms a valley line, is formed in order toward the distal end. Further, a caulking portion 35 that holds the writing ball 40 by plastically deforming the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 inward is formed at the forefront of the holder 31. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, a spring 50 is inserted into the internal space of the ballpoint pen tip 30 to prevent the ink from flowing out from the tip.

When the ballpoint pen refill 10 protrudes from the shaft tube tip 71, the tapered portion 34 of the ballpoint pen tip 30 slides in contact with the shaft tube tip inner wall 72 as shown in a partial front sectional view of FIG. Move toward the tip. As shown in FIG. 5 in which this contact state is enlarged, the taper angle of the taper portion 34 and the inclination angle of the inner end wall 72 of the shaft tube coincide with each other. Further, the caulking portion 35 is formed by the first reduced diameter portion 36, the second reduced diameter portion 37, the third reduced diameter portion 38, and the fourth reduced diameter portion 39 formed on the distal end side of the tapered portion 34. The position further away by the distance d is maintained. This distance d is preferably 0.15 mm or more and 0.4 mm or less. Due to this distance d, even if ink squirts are attached to the caulking portion 35, they do not come into contact with the inner wall 72 at the tip of the shaft tube and become dirty.

The present invention can be used for a compound writing instrument having a plurality of writing tips.
