たまねぎの皮22gに水30ml、エタノール300mlを加え、48時間放置し、ろ紙でろ過した。この抽出液を減圧除去して、ケルセチン含有抽出物を1.1g得た。この抽出物に、40mlの濃硫酸を加え、室温で5時間攪拌した。その溶液に水100mlを加えると固体が析出した。この際、発熱したが、そのまま30分間撹拌した。得られた個体をろ過して、3Mの硫酸水溶液10mlで洗浄し、乾燥させると、0.9gのケルセチンスルホン酸が得られた。

たまねぎの皮31gに水40ml、エタノール400mlを加え、24時間放置し、ろ紙でろ過した。この抽出液を減圧除去して、ケルセチン含有抽出物を0.7g得た。この抽出物に、30mlの濃硫酸を加え、80℃で2時間攪拌した。その溶液に水60mlを加えると固体が析出した。得られた個体をろ過して、3Mの硫酸水溶液10mlで洗浄し、乾燥させると、0.6gのケルセチンスルホン酸が得られた。
