Description
The present invention relates to a diamond cutting tool and a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly to a diamond cutting tool capable of reducing manufacturing time and extending a life and a manufacturing method thereof.
In general, diamond cutting tools are widely used as cutting tools for cutting hard materials such as stone, metal, concrete, etc. at construction sites and civil engineering sites.
As a method of manufacturing a diamond cutting tool, a method including a step of mixing, forming, and sintering diamond particles and metal powder is known. According to the method, carbon tool steel or low carbon is used. A plurality of cutting segments are formed by fusing diamond particles around a body made of high speed tool steel, such as low carbon tool steel.
However, in such a fusion welding method, in order to produce a cutting segment, the step of mixing, forming and sintering diamond and metal powder and the step of fusion welding of the cutting segment are independently performed by different production apparatuses. Need to be For this reason, a manufacturing process becomes complicated and the problem that manufacturing cost and manufacturing time take much arises.
In order to solve this problem, a method has been developed in which diamond particles are electrodeposited and fixed around the steel body.
1 to 3 show a conventional method for manufacturing a cutting tool by such an electrodeposition method. As shown in FIG. 1, first, a plurality of
Here, the metal plate 4 is made of a metal on which the
As described above, when a negative bias is applied to the main body 1 to be plated and a positive bias is applied to the metal plate 4, the metal ions contained in the electrolytic solution 5 are from the main body 1 applied to the negative bias. Reduced and deposited. Although metal ions in the electrolytic solution 5 are consumed by this deposition, new metal ions are continuously supplied from the metal plate 4 by electrolysis, and the reaction is continuously performed. By performing such a reaction over a sufficient period of time, the
However, according to such a conventional manufacturing method, there is a problem that it takes a long plating time because the plating thickness is increased so that the diamond particles are firmly fixed. In addition, according to the conventional manufacturing method, there is another problem that the diamond particles move and are disturbed in the process of providing the diamond particles on the main body and performing electrodeposition.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional problems, and provides a diamond cutting tool in which diamond particles are firmly fixed to a disk-shaped main body and manufacturing time is shortened, and a manufacturing method thereof. The purpose is to do.
Another object of the present invention is that diamond particles are coated with a metal excellent in magnetism, magnetizing the body, and the metal-coated diamond particles are fixed on the body by a magnetic force between the magnetized body, It is to provide a diamond cutting tool and a manufacturing method thereof that prevent the diamond particles from being disturbed.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a diamond cutting tool capable of extending the life of a cutting tool and providing a method of manufacturing the same by providing metal-coated diamond particles on a main body by means of magnetic force and performing electrodeposition. It is.
In order to achieve the above object, a method of manufacturing a diamond cutting tool according to the present invention includes a step of coating a plurality of diamond particles with a metal, and a portion where the metal-coated diamond particles are used as a cutting blade on a steel body. A step of immersing the main body in a plating bath filled with an electrolyte; a negative bias is applied to the main body; and a positive bias is applied to another metal plate provided in the plating bath for plating. And applying the electrodeposition to fix the metal-coated diamond particles to the body.
By providing the diamond particles in multiple layers on the main body and performing electrodeposition, the thickness of the diamond layer can be increased and the life of the cutting tool can be extended.
As the metal for coating the diamond particles, iron or cobalt having excellent magnetism is used. In this way, by coating the diamond particles with a metal having excellent magnetism, when the metal-coated diamond particles are provided on the main body, the main body is magnetized so that the metal coating layer and the main body are interposed. The diamond particles can be fixed to the main body by the magnetic force generated in the main body.
The diamond particles may be metal-coated by an electrodeposition method or a fusion method.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a method for manufacturing a diamond cutting tool according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 4, the diamond cutting tool manufacturing method of the present invention includes a step of metal-coating diamond particles (step S410), a step of providing metal-coated diamond particles on a main body (step S430), Electrodepositing diamond particles on the body (step S450).
Hereinafter, each stage of the manufacturing method of the diamond cutting tool of the present invention will be described in detail.
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the
The metal constituting the
FIG. 6 shows a state in which the metal-coated
In the cutting blade, after the
When the
After the
The
On the other hand, the
After the
FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view of a cutting tool with
FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view showing a diamond cutting tool according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention. In the drawing,
Referring to FIG. 9, in the present embodiment,
As described above, according to the method for manufacturing a diamond cutting tool of the present invention, diamond particles are coated with a metal and then electrodeposited by plating, whereby the time required for the plating process is shortened and at the same time Is firmly fixed to the main body.
Further, according to the present invention, diamond is coated with a metal having magnetism, and the main body is magnetized, so that it is possible to deposit metal-coated diamond particles on the main body by magnetic force, and to perform electrodeposition. The tool life can be extended.
Further, according to the present invention, diamond is coated with a metal having magnetic force, and the main body is magnetized, so that diamond particles coated with metal are provided on the main body by magnetic force so that the diamond particles do not move during the manufacturing process. It becomes possible to adhere to.
Although preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, various modifications, additions and alternatives will occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention as disclosed in the appended claims.
