Claims (21)
- 血管の疾病を治療するためのシステムであって、
外側カテーテルと、
近位部と遠位部が設けられた内側カテーテルとを備え、前記近位部は、前記外側カテーテルの内部に滑動自在に受け入れられて、カテーテル組立体を形成しており、
さらに、前記カテーテル組立体に搭載された流体導管構造を備え、前記流体導管構造の近位部は、前記外側カテーテルに取り付けられ、かつ、前記流体導管構造の遠位部は、前記内側カテーテルに取り付けられており、
前記流体導管構造は、弾性コイルと、エラストマースリーブと、発光コイルとを備えており、前記発光コイルの直径は前記弾性コイルの直径よりも小さいものであり、前記弾性コイルは、エラストマースリーブの内側に受け入れられ、前記エラストマースリーブは前記発光コイルの内側に受け入れられており、前記発光コイルの複数のループは、互いに隣接し合う2個のループ相互の間の空隙を前記弾性コイルのループが占有している、
ことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記発光コイルの複数のループは、互いに隣接し合う2個のループ相互の間の空隙を前記弾性コイルのループが占有して、弾性スリーブの内部に螺旋状導管を形成していることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体導管構造は、近位流体障壁と、遠位流体障壁とを備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体導管構造は、少なくとも1個の流体供給源と流体連絡状態にあることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体供給源は光開始剤の供給源であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体供給源は初期重合体の供給源であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記外側カテーテルには管腔が設けられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 流体搬送カテーテルを更に備えることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記流体搬送カテーテルは、流体搬送用管腔と洗浄用管腔とを備えることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記発光コイルは光源に作動可能に接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記外側カテーテルには管腔が設けられており、前記管腔を通して、前記発光コイルは光源に作動可能に接続されていることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 血管の疾病を治療するためのシステムを組立てる方法であって、
外側カテーテルの管腔の内側に内側カテーテルの近位部を設置することによってカテーテル組立体を形成する段階と、
エラストマースリーブの内側に弾性コイルをまず設置してから、エラストマースリーブの周囲に光ファイバーワイヤをコイル巻きにすることにより、流体導管構造を形成する段階と、
カテーテル組立体の遠位部を流体導管構造の内側に設置する段階と、
流体導管構造の近位部を外側カテーテルの遠位部に取り付ける段階と、
流体導管構造の遠位部を内側カテーテルの遠位部に取り付ける段階と、
を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記光ファイバーワイヤを前記弾性スリーブの周囲にコイル巻きにして、前記光ファイバーワイヤの複数のループは互いに隣接し合う2個のループ相互の間の空隙を前記弾性コイルのループが占有するようにしたことを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記光ファイバーワイヤを前記エラストマースリーブの周囲にコイル巻きにして、前記光ファイバーワイヤが発光コイルを形成するようにし、前記発光コイルの直径は前記弾性コイルの直径よりも小さいことを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記光ファイバーワイヤを前記エラストマースリーブの周囲にコイル巻きにすることで、前記エラストマースリーブの内部に螺旋状導管を形成したことを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記外側カテーテルを近位方向に引いて、前記流体導管構造の長さを増すとともに、前記流体導管構造の直径を短くするようにした段階を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 血管の疾病を治療する方法であって、
血管の疾病を治療するためのシステムを血管内の治療部位に搬送する段階と、
前記システムの遠位部を拡張させて、前記システムの遠位部と血管の内側壁との間に螺旋状空洞を形成するようにした段階と、
螺旋状空洞に第1の流体を搬送する段階と、
前記螺旋状空洞を螺旋状経路に沿って光に曝す段階と、
を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記流体を前記螺旋状空洞に搬送した後で、前記螺旋状空洞を洗浄液で洗浄する段階を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記螺旋状駆動を洗浄液で洗浄した後で、前記螺旋状空洞に第2の流体を搬送する段階を更に含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の流体は初期重合体であることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記螺旋状空洞を前記螺旋状経路に沿って光に曝す前記段階は、前記初期重合体の少なくとも一部を光重合化し、血管の前記内側壁に重合体被膜を形成するようにしたことを特徴とする、請求項20に記載の方法。
