Description
The present invention relates to the field of distributing objects from a plurality of positions to a plurality of destinations. More specifically, the present invention relates to a distribution system capable of distributing an object and selecting a preferred destination.
An automatic optical inspection (AOI) system inspects the surface of a PCB or wafer using image processing and a dedicated algorithm, and recognizes defects on the surface. The scanned image of the defective surface is transferred to a verification system where the operator performs a visual inspection of the image to verify the automatic measurement.
Some AOI systems have their own verification stations, but for efficient processing, scanned objects such as PCBs and wafers are manually transported to one of a plurality of verification stations.
