Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a welding method and a stepped portion detection device, and in particular, detects a stepped portion generated between the end surface of one workpiece and the surface of the other workpiece by overlapping the workpieces, and welds the stepped portion. A welding work line to be defined, and a method of welding the stepped portion according to the defined welding work line, and by overlapping the workpieces, occurs between the end surface of one workpiece and the surface of the other workpiece, The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting a stepped portion to be welded according to a prescribed welding work line.
For example, in a lap joint that overlaps and joins plate-like workpieces, as shown in FIG. 6, a step formed between the end surface of one workpiece and the surface of the other plate-like workpiece is formed by arc welding or the like. Welding is performed. And in order to weld such a step part, the position (namely, position of a level | step difference part) of the end surface of one workpiece | work of the positioned state and the other plate-shaped workpiece is set, and the end surface of one workpiece | work A welding work line spaced apart from the surface of the other plate-like workpiece by a predetermined distance is defined along the stepped portion, and the movement of the welding torch held by the robot arm is taught according to this welding work line (teaching In general, welding is automatically performed by controlling the robot.
Here, the end surfaces of one workpiece constituting the stepped portion due to the difference in the thickness of each workpiece, the forming accuracy of the end surface of one workpiece, positioning, deformation, etc. And the position of the other plate-like workpiece may differ depending on the workpiece to be welded. For this reason, it has been conventionally performed to detect a step portion for each workpiece and to correct the movement trajectory of the welding torch that is moved according to the welding work line defined as described above (see Patent Document 1).
In
Further,
In addition, as disclosed in
Among the conventional techniques described above, in
In general, it is possible to improve the detection accuracy of the welding work line by finely setting the pitch of the slit light to be irradiated. However, in the above-mentioned
And in the said
On the other hand, in the real-time tracking as described in the above prior art, when spatter occurs during welding, such as arc welding, an apparatus (hereinafter referred to as a sensor) for detecting a welding work line is provided. In order to detect problems such as damage caused by spattering, making it difficult to detect welding work lines accurately over a long period of time, and causing problems such as shortening the sensor life, and welding work lines There is a problem that the range in which this sensor can be applied is limited. Furthermore, in real-time tracking, as described above, if the pitch of the slit light to be irradiated is set finely in order to improve the detection accuracy of the welding work line, the number of detections will increase. Since the welding speed performed in parallel with the detection is lowered, there is a problem that the degree of freedom in adjusting the welding speed is small.

A welding method, wherein the stepped portion is detected by performing image processing on each of the captured light cutting lines.
In the invention of the item (1), a plurality of linear lights crossing the stepped portions are irradiated to the stepped portions having different positions on the surfaces of the workpieces at a predetermined angle from above the stepped portions. An image captured from above the stepped portion becomes a light cutting line cut with the stepped portion as a boundary. By performing image processing on each of the captured light cutting lines, it is possible to easily and accurately detect the stepped portion in a short time based on the processing result.
Here, “irradiating a plurality of linear lights across the step portion from the step portion at a predetermined angle” as used in the present invention means that the end surface of one workpiece constituting the step portion intersects the surface of the other workpiece. In a position that is substantially perpendicular to the surface of the other workpiece and is inclined at a predetermined angle in the direction along the end surface of the one workpiece, the position along the step portion is different from that of the other workpiece. A direction having a predetermined length in the direction crossing the step portion and a slit light having a predetermined width in the direction along the step portion or a spot-like light having a predetermined diameter in a direction crossing the step portion Includes a case where a predetermined length is scanned.
In addition, “imaging each light cutting line cut by the stepped portion from above the stepped portion” in the present invention means a linear shape that is interrupted at the stepped portion by irradiating linear light from above the stepped portion at a predetermined angle. It means that light is imaged from a position substantially perpendicular to the surface of the other workpiece at the position where the end surface of one workpiece constituting the step portion and the surface of the other workpiece intersect. When scanning the spot-shaped light, it is possible to treat the scanned spot-shaped light as linear light by storing the locus of the scanned spot-shaped light.
(2) It is characterized by extracting the coordinates of the end of each light cutting line imaged by the image processing, and detecting the stepped portion based on the coordinates of the end of the extracted light cutting line ( The welding method according to item 1).
In the invention of the item (2), in the invention described in the item (1), image processing is performed on each captured light cutting line, and the coordinates of the end of each light cutting line cut at the stepped portion are extracted. Thus, the stepped portion can be easily and accurately detected based on the coordinates of the end of the extracted light section line.
(3) The position along the surface of the workpiece of the stepped portion is detected by approximating each coordinate of the extracted end portion of the light section line as a function. Welding method.
In the invention of the item (3), in the invention described in the item (2), each coordinate located on a plane parallel to the surface of the workpiece of the end portion from which the light cutting line is extracted is defined as X, Y, for example. By approximation as a function of the coordinates X and Y, the position of the end face of one workpiece, that is, the position of the step portion along the surface of the workpiece can be detected easily and accurately.

It can be detected well.

The welding method according to any one of (1) to (5), wherein welding is performed.
In the invention described in item (6), in the invention described in any one of items (1) to (5), the step portion is detected to define the welding work line, and the torch held by the robot is moved. A welding work line is input as a trajectory control parameter, and welding of a stepped portion can be started after retracting a light projecting means for irradiating linear light or a means for imaging a light cutting line. Therefore, the light projecting means for irradiating the linear light and the means for imaging the light cutting line are not damaged by spatter generated during welding, and therefore the welding work line can be accurately detected over a long period of time. In addition, the lifetime of the light projecting means for irradiating the linear light and the means for imaging the light cutting line can be extended.
(7) A device for detecting a step portion for defining a welding work line, which is generated by stacking workpieces,

In the invention described in item (7), when a plurality of linear lights crossing the stepped portion by the light projecting means are irradiated to the stepped portions having different positions on the surfaces of both workpieces at a predetermined angle from above the stepped portion, The light cutting line is cut with the step portion as a boundary. The optical cutting line is imaged from above the stepped portion by the imaging means, and each optical cutting line imaged by the arithmetic processing means is image-processed, thereby shortening the calculation for obtaining the stepped portion based on the image processing result. It can be easily performed in time and accurately detected.
In the present invention, “irradiating a plurality of linear lights at a predetermined angle from above the stepped portion so as to cross the stepped portion” means that the end surface of one work and the surface of the other work constituting the stepped portion. At a position where the crossing points are on a plane substantially perpendicular to the surface of the other workpiece and are inclined at a predetermined angle in the direction along the end surface of the one workpiece, and in different directions along the step. In contrast, the slit light having a predetermined length in the direction crossing the step portion and having a predetermined width in the direction along the step portion, or spot-shaped light having a predetermined diameter is applied to the step portion. For example, scanning a predetermined length in the transverse direction is included.
In addition, “imaging each light cutting line cut by the stepped portion from above the stepped portion” in the present invention means a line that is interrupted at the stepped portion by irradiating linear light from above the stepped portion at a predetermined angle. That is, imaging is performed from a position substantially perpendicular to the surface of the other workpiece at a position where the end surface of one workpiece constituting the step portion intersects the surface of the other workpiece. When the spot-like light is scanned, it can be handled as linear light by storing the locus of the spot-like light image scanned by the arithmetic processing means.

By scanning, the stepped portion can be detected in a short time.
First, a stepped portion detection apparatus according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIG. The same reference numerals indicate similar or corresponding parts.
The step detecting device of the present invention generally detects a stepped portion D that defines a welding work line W for
In this embodiment, the
Light projecting means 3, in this embodiment, the
Imaging means 4, and a
The arithmetic processing means 5 includes an
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, instead irradiates the slit light L n described above as the light emitting means 3, a spot-like light, such as a laser beam having a predetermined diameter Further, linear light can be obtained by scanning a predetermined length in a direction crossing the step portion D, and recording the locus of the spot-like light imaged by the
Next, the welding method of the present invention will be described in detail mainly based on FIGS. 1 to 4 by using a welding device including the stepped portion detection device configured as described above.
The welding method of the present invention generally defines a welding work line W for welding the stepped portion D by overlapping the
When the
Further, the
Here, based on FIG. 4, when the
In addition, when the
Further, based on FIG. 4, the thickness of the
Similarly, the thickness of the
Returning to FIG. 1 again, the
In the present invention, a plurality of linear lights L n traversing the stepped portion D are irradiated from above the stepped portion D at a predetermined angle α, and the optical cutting lines l n of the respective linear lights L n cut by the stepped portion D, l n ′ is imaged from above the stepped portion D, the imaged light cutting lines l n and l n ′ are image-processed, and the coordinates (X n , Y n ) or (X n ′, By extracting Y n ′), it is possible to easily detect the stepped portion with high accuracy in a short time, and accordingly, an accurate welding work line W can be obtained according to the state of the
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, the case of irradiating a plurality of linear light L n at the same time, can detect the stepped portion D in a shorter time.
