Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cutting apparatus used for machining a boring part or the like formed in a workpiece.
A machine tool is used to form a drilled portion having a predetermined hole diameter in a workpiece and to precisely finish the inner surface of the drilled portion. As a procedure for this type of processing, for example, a drill is used to form a perforated portion having a predetermined hole diameter on a workpiece, and then a dimensioning process is performed so that the inner diameter becomes a predetermined dimension. Later, the inner surface of the perforated part is finished.
The inner surface of the drilling part is finished by mounting a boring tool as a cutting tool on the spindle of a machine tool such as a machining center, and rotating the boring tool and the workpiece relative to each other in the rotational and longitudinal directions. The part will be cut. This type of boring tool has a holder shaft, also called a tool shank, and the base end of the holder shaft is connected to the main shaft. On the other hand, a cutting tool is attached to the tip of the holder shaft directly or via a tool mount member. When finishing a drilled part, a cutting tool having a nose radius corresponding to the finishing accuracy (that is, the radius of the arc portion between the side cutting edge and the front cutting edge) is used. It adjusts so that it may become a suitable cutting amount, and the cutting speed, the feed speed of a cutting tool, etc. are controlled. And in order to make finishing precision high, it cuts in two steps, rough finishing and precision finishing. In rough finishing and precision finishing, the nose radius of the cutting tool is made different, and the cutting amount at the time of cutting is made different. Moreover, the cutting speed and the feed speed are set according to them.
Here, the cutting tool is detachably attached to the tip of the holder shaft to cut the workpiece, but it is common to provide one cutting tool.
By the way, if the cutting process is continued, the cutting tool will be worn, and therefore the machining accuracy cannot be maintained. In particular, if the cutting conditions are not set appropriately, the cutting tool wears out, and the shape of the nose radius portion is broken or chipped. As a result, the machining accuracy is remarkably lowered, so that a cutting tool that has been worn, deformed, chipped, etc. must be replaced. Particularly, a cutting tool for precision finishing needs to be frequently replaced because it causes a great influence on machining accuracy if it occurs even with slight wear.
By the way, as described above, when processing is performed in two stages, such as rough finishing and precision finishing, the burden on the cutting tool can be reduced and the processing accuracy can be increased. Thus, in order to perform the finishing process in two stages, different cutting tools must be used, and since their cutting conditions are also different, it is necessary to use two types of boring tools. Have to be replaced or two spindles have to be provided, which complicates the configuration of the entire machine tool, increases the number of processing steps, and requires a setup change between rough finishing and precision finishing. For example, there is a problem that processing efficiency is poor. Here, in
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to efficiently perform finishing with high precision on the inner surface of a perforated portion in a workpiece, and to provide a cutting tool for precision finishing. It is possible to extend the service life, for example, by reducing the wear.
In order to achieve the above-described object, the present invention provides a tool mount member in which a cutting tool for cutting a perforated portion provided in a workpiece is attached to the tip of a holder shaft that is detachably connected to a main shaft. A cutting device that cuts the inner surface of the perforated portion while moving the cutting tool and the workpiece in the axial direction and the rotational direction, and the tool mount member includes a rough cutting process. And a rear blade side tool that performs processing more precise than the rough cutting is mounted so as to be in a positional relationship of 180 degrees relative to each other, and the tip of the tool is in the axial direction of the holder shaft. The blade side tool is disposed at a position protruding forward from the rear blade side tool, and the tool mount member sprays coolant toward the cutting tools from the rear of the leading blade side tool and the rear blade side tool. Coolant That it has a configuration in which the elevation means it is for its features.
In rough cutting and precision cutting, the configuration of the cutting tool used, that is, the configuration of the cutting edge, must be different, and the amount of cut into the workpiece must be different. And about a cutting speed and a feed rate, what is necessary is just to match | combine the conditions at the time of performing precision cutting. Moreover, in order to suppress the wear of the cutting tool, as described in
In order to protect the cutting tool, especially to suppress the wear of the cutting tool for precision cutting, it is necessary to lower the cutting temperature, but when cutting at a certain temperature (for example, 500 degrees or less) Although it does not wear much, if it exceeds a certain temperature, the wear will be accelerated rapidly. Therefore, if the coolant is efficiently sprayed onto the cutting region composed of the cutting tool and the workpiece by the coolant spraying means and the cutting temperature is maintained at a predetermined low temperature, the wear of the cutting tool can be remarkably suppressed. Before the cutting tool that performs precision cutting acts on the workpiece, the cutting tool is affected by the heat generated during rough cutting. However, the position of the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool is shifted in the axial direction, and the cutting process by the trailing edge side tool is delayed by an amount corresponding to the shift of the position. Therefore, there is no possibility that the heat generated during cutting of the leading edge side tool will affect the cutting of the trailing edge side tool.
Moreover, what is necessary is just to make the jetting pressure of a coolant high in order to exclude the chips generated at the time of processing. Since the coolant is sprayed to the area where the cutting edge side tool is cutting and the coolant is sprayed at a position delayed to some extent, the cutting with the trailing edge side tool is performed to remove the chips toward the front. Chips generated by cutting the blade side tool are blown out toward the leading edge side tool by injection of coolant. However, the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool are disposed at positions that are 180 degrees out of phase, and the amount of chips generated by the trailing edge side tool is small in the first place, and coolant is applied to the leading edge side tool. Since it is sprayed, there is no possibility that chips from the rear blade side tool are caught in the leading edge side tool and damaged.
By the way, in the tool mount member mounted on the holder shaft, when two cutting tools are provided in a positional relationship of 180 degrees in the rotation direction, when machining is performed while rotating both cutting tools, these cutting tools are shifted in the axial direction. Even if it is not, cutting is performed such that the other cutting tool follows after one of the cutting tools during rotation, and in a strict sense, the two cutting tools have a trailing edge. However, since the two cutting tools make contact with the same part during a half rotation, the subsequent cutting tool comes into contact before the heat generated by the cutting of the preceding cutting tool is cooled, When cutting with a cutting tool, a sufficient cooling effect for the cutting region cannot be obtained. Therefore, not only by shifting the position of the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool 180 degrees in the rotation direction, but also by shifting the position back and forth in the axial direction, the heat generated by cutting the leading edge side tool is reduced to some extent. After that, the machining with the rear blade side tool is performed.
From the viewpoint of cooling the machining area, it is desirable that the distance between the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool is as large as possible. However, if the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool are separated too much in the axial direction, it will cause the holder shaft to vibrate, resulting in poor machining accuracy. From the above, it is desirable that the axial interval between the leading edge tool and the trailing edge tool be 3 to 7 times the feed amount per rotation of the holder shaft.
The coolant injection direction is from the rear in the direction of advance of the holder shaft, and is directed to a portion where the leading edge side tool and the trailing edge side tool come into contact with the workpiece. Here, the tool mount member has a configuration in which the cutting tool mounting portion can be adjusted in the direction orthogonal to the rotation axis, that is, in the radial direction. It is not preferable that the injection position of the coolant to the side tool and the rear blade side tool changes. Injection holes for injecting coolant toward each cutting tool are opened in each tool mount member, and coolant supplied from a coolant supply path formed in the holder shaft is injected into these injection ports. Therefore, even if the position of the tool mount member changes, in order to make the coolant supply path provided on the holder shaft communicate with the coolant passage leading to the injection port, for example, the coolant supply path and the coolant passage leading to the injection port are connected to each other. The contact portion between the tool mount member and the holder shaft is opened, and an adjustment portion coolant passage capable of adjusting the passage length according to the position of each cutting tool with respect to the tool mount member is provided in these openings. Can do.
By attaching different cutting tools to the tool mount member, it is possible to perform two types of cutting, rough finishing and precision finishing, at the same time by performing only one cutting process, enabling efficient cutting. In addition, the configuration of the cutting apparatus can be simplified. In addition, by supplying coolant to each of these two cutting tools, it is possible to suppress the workpiece and the cutting tool from becoming hot and to prevent chips from being caught in the cutting tool. Since it is possible to minimize the wear of the rear edge side tool for performing the precision finishing process and to prevent the adhesion of chips, the necessary machining accuracy can be maintained even if repeated machining is performed.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, in FIG. 1,
The configuration of the
The
The
The
Here, in the cutting edge
During cutting, coolant made of mist of cutting fluid is sprayed at high pressure toward the
As apparent from FIGS. 5 and 6, the coolant supply passages include

By rotating the
Since the nose radius of the leading
Here, the coolant is constantly injected from the
Further, with regard to the processing of the chips by cutting, the coolant is sprayed from the rear side in the advancing direction to the cutting
