Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an engine exhaust treatment apparatus and an engine exhaust treatment method using urea water as a reducing agent, and more particularly to a means for efficiently removing nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas.
Conventionally, a diesel engine is equipped with a selective reduction catalyst that has the property of selectively reacting nitrogen oxides (hereinafter referred to as NOx) with a reducing agent even in the presence of oxygen in the middle of an exhaust pipe through which exhaust gas flows. Then, a necessary amount of a reducing agent (hydrocarbon, ammonia or a precursor thereof) is added upstream of the selective catalytic reduction catalyst, and the reducing agent is subjected to a reduction reaction with NOx in the exhaust gas on the selective catalytic reduction catalyst. In some cases, the NOx emission concentration can be reduced. A NOx reduction method using this selective reduction catalyst is called SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), and a method using urea as a reducing agent is particularly called urea SCR. In order to apply this urea SCR to a vehicle, urea water is stored in a tank, urea water supplied from this tank is injected into the exhaust passage while the engine is started, and urea is discharged using the exhaust heat of the engine. A technique for reducing NOx by hydrolyzing and resulting ammonia is also known (Patent Document 1).
In addition, when the exhaust gas temperature is low, the denitration reaction is difficult to occur, and there is a characteristic that the denitration performance deteriorates. However, when adding urea water, the urea water is vaporized by heating with an electric heater, There is also known a technology that effectively utilizes a denitration catalyst and enhances NOx reduction performance by promoting hydrolysis to ammonia (Patent Document 2).
When the electric heater for vaporizing the urea water is provided, the electric heater consumes electric power, so the load on the generator increases and the energy efficiency of the engine decreases. When trying to cover all the heat energy necessary for vaporizing urea water with an electric heater, the electric power required by the electric heater increases in proportion to the injection amount of urea water. Ammonia consumed in the denitration reaction is almost the same as the number of moles of nitrogen oxides. Therefore, if the amount of nitrogen oxides discharged from the engine increases, the required amount of urea water injection increases and the electric power required for the electric heater also increases. It will be. As described above, when the electric power required for the electric heater is increased, a power supply device corresponding to a large current is required, which causes a problem that the device is enlarged. In general, nitrogen oxides discharged from the engine increase when the engine load is high, and the gas temperature increases when the engine load is high. When the exhaust gas temperature is high, the urea water can be vaporized with the heat energy inherent in the exhaust gas, and consuming large electric power for vaporizing the urea water at that time is wasteful as a system.
On the other hand, in order to vaporize urea water using the thermal energy of exhaust gas without using an electric heater, urea water may be injected directly into the exhaust flue, but even in that case, the spray of urea water is solid It includes the possibility of deposition on the wall. That is, in order to cause a reduction reaction as intended by the denitration catalyst, it is necessary that the amounts of nitrogen oxide and reducing agent are balanced for each local space at the catalyst inlet. This means that it is necessary to uniformly disperse the urea water spray injected into the exhaust flue with respect to the exhaust gas. In spraying using an injection valve, radial injection from an eccentric position is unavoidable, so unless some kind of structure is provided in the exhaust flue, urea water is sprayed into the exhaust flue. Is difficult to disperse uniformly. However, when any structure is provided in the exhaust flue, the spray of urea water easily collides with the structure, and there occurs a location where the spray of urea water concentrates and collides with the exhaust flue itself. there is a possibility. When a place where the spray of urea water frequently collides occurs, the temperature of the place is greatly reduced as compared with the exhaust gas temperature. In such a place, even if the exhaust gas temperature as an average is high, an environment in which the temperature is locally lowered is formed, and urea is likely to precipitate. The occurrence of such precipitation not only reduces the utilization efficiency of urea water, but also may block the flue, and the deposited precipitate vaporizes all at once when the exhaust gas temperature rises rapidly, generating a large amount of ammonia gas. There is a possibility of discharging ammonia gas to the outside. Thus, even when the exhaust gas temperature is high, NOx contained in the exhaust gas cannot be properly denitrated only by injecting a large amount of urea water into the exhaust flue.
The present invention has been made in order to solve such problems, and its purpose is not only when the exhaust gas temperature is high but also when the exhaust gas temperature is low. It is an object to provide an exhaust treatment apparatus for an engine that can be configured as described above, and to provide a method for efficiently denitrating engine exhaust gas using the exhaust treatment apparatus.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention firstly relates to an exhaust treatment device, and injects urea water used for generating ammonia necessary for reducing nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas with a denitration catalyst into the exhaust flue. A main injection valve; a sub-injection valve that injects the urea water into the diverted gas flow path branched from the exhaust flue; and an electric heater that heats the diverted gas flow path, and the exhaust gas temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature. In this case, the urea water is injected from the sub-injection valve while the electric heater is energized. If the exhaust gas temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature, the main injection is stopped while the electric heater is de-energized. The urea water is injected from both the valve and the sub-injection valve.
According to this configuration, when the exhaust gas temperature is low, a necessary amount of urea water is injected from the sub-injection valve into the diverted gas flow path while the electric heater is energized, and to the electric heater when the exhaust gas temperature is high. Since the required amount of urea water is injected into the exhaust flue from the main injection valve in a state in which the electric current is cut off, the power consumed by the electric heater can be reduced and the power supply device that supplies electric power to the electric heater can be downsized. be able to. In addition, when the exhaust gas temperature is low, urea water is injected from the sub-injection valve into the diverted gas flow path while the electric heater is energized, so the urea water injected into the diverted gas flow path is vaporized even at low temperatures. NOx can be treated with ammonia generated from urea by spreading urea vapor in the exhaust gas, and precipitation of urea in the diverted gas flow path can be prevented. Can be done to performance. Further, when the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust flue is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, since a required amount of urea water is injected from the main injection valve into the exhaust flue, precipitation of urea in the exhaust flue can be prevented, and NOx can be prevented. Processing can be performed with high performance. In addition, when the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust flue is equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature, the sub injection valve also injects urea water together with the main injection valve, thereby preventing the injection of the sub injection valve from being interrupted and preventing overheating of the injection valve. As a result, clogging due to precipitation of urea in the injection valve can be prevented. That is, urea water used for exhaust treatment of diesel engines is usually 32.5% in mass concentration and has a slightly higher boiling point than pure water. If the tip of the sub-injection valve is exposed to high-temperature exhaust gas while the flow of the fuel is stopped, the urea water in the sub-injection valve will boil, and solid urea that has lost moisture will remain. The valve may become blocked. Therefore, by continuing the injection of urea water, it becomes possible to discharge the heat transferred to the urea water together with the injected urea water, and the urea water temperature in the sub-injection valve does not rise and the urea water does not boil. Thus, the sub-injection valve can be prevented from being blocked. In addition, since the sub-injection valve can be prevented from being overheated, it is possible to prevent damage to the electromagnetic coil and the electric circuit that drive the valve body.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the exhaust treatment device of the first configuration, when the exhaust gas temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, a single injection amount of the sub-injection valve that is performed in a state where the energization to the electric heater is cut off is performed. In addition, when the exhaust gas temperature is equal to or lower than a predetermined temperature, the injection amount is set to be equal to or less than the minimum value of one injection amount that is injected by the sub-injection valve with the electric heater energized.
In order to prevent overheating of the sub-injection valve, it is sufficient that the urea water is injected little by little. Even if the injection amount is set, the sub-injection valve is clogged, and the electromagnetic coil and the electric Circuit damage can be prevented. Moreover, the injection amount control of the sub injection valve can be simplified by setting the minimum injection amount that can be injected by the sub injection valve.
Thirdly, in the exhaust gas processing apparatus of the first configuration, the present invention sets an upper limit value of the injection amount of the main injection valve according to an exhaust gas temperature, and the urea water injection amount of the main injection valve is set to the upper limit value. By controlling according to the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust flue so as not to exceed the value, the urea water injected from the main injection valve is not sufficiently vaporized by the heat obtained from the exhaust gas. It is possible to avoid the occurrence of urea precipitation on the road.
Fourthly, in the exhaust gas processing apparatus of the first configuration, the present invention sets an upper limit value of the injection amount of the sub injection valve according to an exhaust gas temperature, and the urea water injection amount of the sub injection valve is set to the upper limit value. By controlling according to the exhaust gas temperature in the exhaust flue so as not to exceed the value, the urea water injected from the sub-injection valve is not sufficiently vaporized by the heat obtained from the electric heater and the diverted exhaust gas. Thus, it is possible to avoid the precipitation of urea in the diverted gas flow path.
Fifth, the present invention provides the exhaust amount of the main injection valve with respect to the urea water injection amount necessary for reducing the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas in the exhaust treatment apparatus having the third and fourth configurations. When the sum of the upper limit value of the sub injection valve and the upper limit value of the injection amount of the sub injection valve is less than the required urea water injection amount, the injection amounts of the main injection valve and the sub injection valve are respectively set as the upper limit values, When the sum of the upper limit value of the injection amount of the main injection valve and the upper limit value of the injection amount of the sub injection valve is larger than the necessary urea water injection amount, the injection amount of the main injection valve and the sub injection valve By controlling so that the total amount becomes the required urea water injection amount, the amount of nitrogen oxides that can be reduced can be maximized while preventing precipitation of urea in the exhaust flue. Become.
Sixthly, according to the present invention, in the exhaust gas processing apparatus having the first configuration, the lower limit value of the injection amount of the main injection valve is set according to the exhaust gas temperature, and the urea water of the main injection valve is set according to the exhaust gas temperature. By controlling the injection amount so as to be equal to or higher than the lower limit value, the injection of the main injection valve is not interrupted, the overheating of the injection valve can be prevented, and clogging due to precipitation of urea in the main injection valve is prevented. Can do.
Seventhly, in the exhaust gas processing apparatus of the first configuration, the present invention estimates an exhaust gas temperature from engine load information, and in accordance with the estimated exhaust gas temperature, the main injection valve, the sub injection valve, and the electric By controlling the heater, there is no delay associated with exhaust gas temperature measurement, optimal control can be performed instantaneously, and the number of parts is reduced, simplifying the exhaust treatment system. It becomes possible to plan.
Eighthly, according to the present invention, in the exhaust treatment device of the fifth configuration, the amount of nitrogen oxides discharged from the engine is estimated from engine load information, and the estimated amount of nitrogen oxides discharged is estimated. By determining the necessary urea water injection amount, it is not necessary to provide a NOx sensor in the exhaust flue to measure the NOx concentration, and the exhaust treatment device can be simplified.
Ninthly, in the exhaust gas processing apparatus of the fifth configuration, the present invention estimates the amount of ammonia accumulated in the denitration catalyst, and sets the required urea water injection amount so that the estimated amount becomes a target value. The target value is determined based on the ammonia accumulation saturation amount of the denitration catalyst that is determined according to the temperature, whereby the amount of ammonia accumulated in the denitration catalyst can be managed, and the exhaust gas temperature can be controlled. Preventing the possibility that the ammonia accumulated in excess of the saturation amount is discharged due to a sudden change in the ammonia accumulation saturation amount of the denitration catalyst that occurs when sudden change occurs, and released into the atmosphere in a state where ammonia is mixed in the exhaust gas. It becomes possible.
On the other hand, the present invention relates to an exhaust treatment method, a main injection valve for injecting urea water used for generating ammonia necessary for reducing nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas with a denitration catalyst into the exhaust flue, and the urea water A sub-injection valve that injects the gas into the diverted gas flow path branched from the exhaust flue, and an electric heater that heats the diverted gas flow path. In an energized state, urea water is injected from the sub-injection valve, and when the exhaust gas temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, both the main injection valve and the sub-injection valve are turned off while the energization to the electric heater is interrupted The configuration is such that urea water is injected.
According to this configuration, the same operational effects as described for the exhaust processing device of the first configuration are exhibited.
When the exhaust gas temperature is low, the exhaust processing apparatus and the exhaust processing method for an engine according to the present invention inject a required amount of urea water into the diverted gas flow path from the sub-injection valve while energizing the electric heater, When the temperature is high, the required amount of urea water is injected into the exhaust flue from the main injection valve with the electric power to the electric heater turned off, so that the electric power consumed by the electric heater can be reduced and the electric power to the electric heater can be reduced. It is possible to reduce the size of the power supply device that supplies the power. In addition, when the exhaust gas temperature is low, urea water is injected from the sub-injection valve into the diverted gas flow path while the electric heater is energized. Vaporization can be performed, NOx in the exhaust gas can be treated, urea can be prevented from being precipitated in the diverted gas flow path, and NOx can be treated with high performance.
Hereinafter, embodiments of an exhaust treatment apparatus and an exhaust treatment method according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5.

Particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas of diesel engine is removed by adhering to the surface of the filter material. However, since particulate matter accumulates inside the filter 5 with use, it accumulates to prevent clogging of the filter. Incinerate and recycle materials periodically. When the filter 5 is regenerated, the
The urea water injected by the
(NH2)2CO+H2O → 2NH3+CO2
(NH 2 ) 2 CO + H 2 O → 2NH 3 + CO 2
Therefore, urea reacts with water to produce ammonia and carbon dioxide. Moreover, the main reaction when reducing NOx using ammonia (NH 3 ) generated by the hydrolysis reaction is represented by the following chemical formula.
NO+NO2+2NH3 → 2N2+3H2O
NO + NO 2 + 2NH 3 → 2N 2 + 3H 2 O
Therefore, NOx is rendered harmless by being converted to nitrogen and water. In the above reaction, 2 mol of ammonia (NH 3 ) is consumed with respect to 2 mol of NOx, and therefore, the ammonia as a reducing agent has a molar mixing ratio of NOx: NH 3 = 1: 1. . Looking back at urea, when it is added at a molar ratio of NOx: urea = 2: 1, it is supplied at an equivalent ratio = 1.
When the reaction between ammonia and NOx is not ideally performed, ammonia that has not reacted will pass through the
2NH3+3O2 → NO+NO2+3H2O
2NH 3 + 3O 2 → NO + NO 2 + 3H 2 O
That is, ammonia is processed by converting ammonia into NOx and water. Since this method generates NOx again, the total NOx reduction rate deteriorates, so it is desirable that the
The
The diverted
It is desirable that the outlet of the diverted

The amount of urea water injected from the
In determining the total injection amount, there is one method of determining the urea water amount to be a theoretical mixture ratio from the estimated value of the discharged NOx amount. As an extension of this method, considering that the reaction rate (= denitration rate) in the
In addition to the above method, a completely different method of determining the total injection amount is shown in FIG. Since the
After determining the total urea water injection amount, the injection amount of the
The upper part of FIG. 2 represents the injection amount range of the sub-injection valve according to the exhaust gas temperature, and the lower part of FIG. 2 represents the operating range of the electric heater according to the exhaust gas temperature.
If the exhaust gas temperature than the predetermined temperature T 1 is low, the denitration reaction can not be expected, the urea water injection amount is zero. When the
In general, as a method of changing the injection amount of the
FIG. 3 shows the injection amount range of the main injection valve according to the exhaust gas temperature.
If the exhaust gas temperature is lower than T 5 includes a
FIG. 4 shows the range of the total injection amount of the
FIG. 5 summarizes the process for determining the injection amount of each of the
In the exhaust treatment apparatus and the exhaust treatment method of this example, when the exhaust gas temperature is low, a necessary amount of urea water is injected from the
Further, the exhaust treatment device and the exhaust treatment method of this example inject a small amount of urea water from the
Furthermore, since the exhaust treatment apparatus and the exhaust treatment method of this example provide an upper limit value of the injection amount of the
In addition, the exhaust treatment apparatus and the exhaust treatment method of the present example determine the distribution of the urea water injection amount injected from the two
