Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire, and more particularly, to a pneumatic tire excellent in steering stability performance and tire durability performance during high-speed traveling.
Generally, in order to ensure high-speed durability and high-speed stability of the tire, as shown in FIG. 6, the tire is disposed inside the tread 51 of the
By the way, the spiral reinforcing
On the other hand, with respect to the lateral force component, similarly, since the widthwise out-of-plane bending rigidity is low, the shear deformation escapes out of the plane. This leads to a decrease in lateral force, and causes a deterioration in steering stability performance at high speeds.
The deterioration in steering stability and uneven wear at high speeds are both due to the low lateral bending rigidity of the tire in the width direction. In order to solve these problems, it is indispensable to give the belt part high out-of-plane bending rigidity in the width direction.
In general, in order to add high width direction out-of-plane bending rigidity to the belt portion, a member having high bending rigidity such as steel is used as a member constituting the cord of the belt portion, and this is formed at a large angle (45) with respect to the tire equator direction. It can be achieved by crossing at a degree to 90 degrees. However, in this case, there is a concern that durability is lowered because distortion is likely to occur at the steel end during high-speed traveling.
The present invention has been made in view of conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that is excellent in steering stability performance and tire durability performance during high-speed traveling and has improved uneven wear characteristics of the tire. And

The invention according to
A second aspect of the present invention is the pneumatic tire according to the first aspect, wherein the organic fiber is an aromatic polyamide.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the pneumatic tire according to the first or second aspect, a spiral reinforcing layer formed by winding a reinforcing member so as to be substantially parallel to the tire equatorial plane is further provided. .
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the pneumatic tire according to any of the first to third aspects, the material of the rubber member constituting the rubber sheet layer is the same as the coating rubber of the belt ply. It is characterized by being.
The invention according to
According to the present invention, the inclination angle with respect to the tire equator direction is in the range of 60 degrees to 90 degrees, and is composed of a large number of organic fiber cords, the width of which is larger than the width of the belt layer composed of at least two belt plies. A configuration in which at least two wide reinforcing layers and a rubber sheet layer are provided, and the rubber sheet layer, the belt layer, or both the rubber sheet layer and the belt layer are disposed between the reinforcing layers. As a result, the steering stability performance and the tire durability performance during high-speed traveling are excellent, and the uneven wear characteristics of the tire can be improved.
At this time, if the organic fiber is an aromatic polyamide, the in-plane bending rigidity in the width direction can be further increased while suppressing the occurrence of distortion at the cord end.
In addition, since the rubber sheet layer acts as a buffer layer between the belts, the shear strain distribution in the tire width direction can be made uniform, and uneven wear can be suppressed. If the material of the rubber member constituting the rubber sheet layer is the same as that of the coating rubber of the belt ply, productivity can be improved and the adhesion problem can be solved. If the rubber member constituting the rubber sheet layer is a rubber member having a tan δ smaller than the tan δ of the coating rubber of the belt ply, the problem of heat generation can be solved.
In addition, if a spiral reinforcing layer is further provided in the above configuration, the tread effect by the centrifugal force is suppressed by the reinforcing effect that the reinforcing member of the spiral reinforcing layer presses against the crown portion of the tire. Therefore, the longitudinal stability can be further improved.
Hereinafter, the best mode of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a configuration of a
The cord angles of the two belt layers (first and second
The first and second reinforcing layers 17a and 17b made of the organic fiber cord have one function, that is, a function to reinforce out-of-plane bending rigidity in the width direction. That is, since the
By the way, from the characteristic of high strength, it can be considered that the first and second reinforcing layers 17a and 17b are made of steel cords, but since steel has a high density, it has a great effect on centrifugal force. Therefore, in this example, the first and second reinforcing layers 17a and 17b are made of organic fiber cords. As the organic fiber cord, a cord made of a high-strength aromatic polyamide is preferably used. This can further increase the in-plane bending rigidity in the width direction while suppressing the occurrence of distortion at the cord end.
Further, as in this example, by making the width of the first and second reinforcing layers 17a and 17b larger than the width of the
If the width of the first and second reinforcing layers 17a and 17b is smaller than the width of the
Further, since the
Further, if a rubber having a tan δ lower than the tan δ of the belt ply coating rubber is used as the rubber, an effect that heat generation can be suppressed can be obtained in addition to the above effects.
Thus, according to this best mode, the
Although the
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the first
Two reinforcing layers shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 for a high-performance tire for a passenger car having a tire size of 245 / 45R18 (tire outer diameter: 677 mm, rim width: 8.5 inches, rim diameter: 18 inches) And the rubber sheet layer according to the present invention (
Each of these tires has two tire carcass layers straddling a pair of bead cores in a toroidal shape. This carcass layer uses a twisted nylon cord having a diameter of 0.5 mm, and both of the carcass layers are radial (the angle with respect to the equator direction is 90 degrees). The carcass is turned around the bead core and centered on the bead core.
In addition, the two cross belt layers that reinforce the crown portion (tread portion) are made of a so-called 1 × 3 type cord made by twisting together three steel single wires with a diameter of 0.18 mm against the equator plane. Inclined by 40 degrees and arranged so as to cross each other, the driving interval is 35/50 mm.
The tread width of these tires is 245 mm, the width of the first belt layer on the inner side in the radial direction of the crossing belt is 240 mm, the width of the second belt layer on the outer side in the radial direction is 220 mm, and a spiral reinforcing layer is disposed. When it does, it arrange | positions in the radial direction outer side of the said crossing belt.
In the spiral reinforcing layer, twisted aromatic polyamide (trade name Kevlar) cords having a diameter of 0.7 mm are arranged at a driving interval of 50/50 mm. The number of twists of the Kevlar is 30 times / 100 mm. The width is 250 mm, and the entire width of the crossing belt is covered with one reinforcing layer. The spiral reinforcing layer was manufactured by arranging two Kevlar cords in parallel and covering them with unvulcanized rubber to form a strip, which was wound on a crossing belt at the time of tire molding. A predetermined groove is arranged in the tread portion.
As shown in FIG. 1, the

As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
As shown in FIG. 4, the tire of the comparative example is obtained by removing the spiral reinforcing layer from the tire of the conventional example.
The durability test is performed by pressing the tire against a steel drum with a diameter of 3 m at a predetermined pressure and rotating it at high speed, running it continuously at a constant speed for a predetermined time, and then dissecting the tire to check for cracks. It was.
Test condition A
The tire is mounted on an 8.5J x 18 inch rim, and the tire pressure is set to 180 kP, which is lower than the specified internal pressure of 220 kP. The tire is pressed against the drum at CA-1 degree, SA0 degree, and 5 kN load, and the speed is 130 km / h. Run for 100 hours and stop the drum. Here, the reason why the tire internal pressure is set lower than the specified internal pressure is to increase the amount of deflection of the tire and promote the failure of the tire. The temperature around the drum was controlled at 10 ° C., and the wind at a wind speed of 10 m / s was continuously sent toward the tire to prevent excessive heat generation of the tire and to reproduce the actual running state as much as possible.
Test condition B
Using the same drum testing machine as in test condition A, the load was increased to 8 kN, which is not normal, and the vehicle was continuously run at a speed of 130 km / h for 100 hours. The conditions other than the load are the same as the test condition A.

When the tire after the burst was examined, cracks at both ends of the inner and outer cross belts occurred over the entire circumference and were peeled off. There was complete separation between the inner belt and the carcass ply.
The effects of the present invention can be seen from the above test results.
For the conventional tire, two reinforcing layers of 90 degrees with respect to the tire equator direction are provided, and a belt layer (a crossing belt layer and a rubber sheet layer or a crossing belt layer and a spiral reinforcing layer) is provided between the reinforcing layers. In the tires of the

Further, in the tire having no spiral reinforcing layer as in the comparative example, the shear strain input to the belt end could not be suppressed, and even the test condition A could not be completed.
Next, the results of examining the steering stability performance and the riding comfort performance for each of the tires are shown in the table of FIG.
Steering stability performance and ride comfort performance were prepared by preparing a test vehicle equipped with each tire, running a test course with a skilled driver, and comparing the driver's evaluation to a score (full score of 10). The same tire was used for all four wheels.
The test vehicle used was a rear-wheel drive sports type vehicle, and in order to see the steering stability performance at the limit, the vehicle traveled violently with a maximum speed of 200 km / h.
From a comparison between the tire of the conventional example and the
Although the
In the tire of the comparative example, softness appeared in the tire. This is because there is no spiral cord, and the behavior is disturbed especially during turning and high-speed lane change.
The abrasion test was performed by reproducing the input at the time of traveling on the Tsukuba circuit on a drum having a diameter of 3 m and traveling at a distance of 10 LAP, 30 LAP, and 50 LAP. The wear amount of the tread of the traveling product was expressed as a ratio of (center portion wear amount) / (shoulder portion wear amount), and was used as an evaluation measure for uneven wear performance.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a pneumatic tire that is excellent in steering stability performance and tire durability performance during high-speed traveling and has improved uneven wear characteristics of the tire. Such pneumatic tires are not limited to high-performance passenger car tires, but can be applied to racing tires that compete for speed, especially where high-speed handling stability, durability, and uneven wear characteristics are required.
