Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a plasma generator for generating plasma for removing contaminants such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, dioxins, and volatile organic substances contained in a gas such as exhaust gas, and an electrode structure used therefor .
When a high-voltage direct current, alternating current, or pulse voltage is applied between the opposing electrodes, a discharge phenomenon occurs and plasma is generated. At this time, gas reacts and decomposes in the plasma, and active species such as radicals and ions are generated.
Since active species have high reactivity, they are used for reactions with other gases. For example, by passing exhaust gas generated from air purifiers, waste incinerators, boilers, firing furnaces, etc. into the plasma, nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, dioxins, volatile organic substances, etc. contained in the exhaust gas Is known to be efficiently removed.
。 For example, combustion exhaust gas in the temperature range of 450 ° C to 650 ° C of a gas turbine is generated by a linear discharge electrode having a spike (protrusion) and a flat counter electrode, or by a system using an electron gun A method for removing and purifying nitrogen oxides in combustion exhaust gas by applying the plasma is proposed (see Patent Document 1).
However, in the technique composed of a linear discharge electrode having spikes (protrusions) described in
On the other hand, when the configuration of the technique described in
This is because, when an electrode is embedded in a plate-like ceramic body made of an alumina sintered body, ions, electrons, radicals, etc. existing in the plasma collide with the alumina sintered body, and alumina particles or alumina particles It is thought that this is because the interface reacts and corrodes.
Further, it is considered that when the electrode is embedded in a plate-like ceramic body made of an aluminum nitride sintered body, the aluminum nitride sintered body decomposes and corrodes while generating nitrogen. Specifically, the aluminum nitride sintered body stabilizes by forming alumina on the surface at room temperature. However, when used as a plasma generating apparatus, the surface of the aluminum nitride sintered body is corroded by the plasma, and the aluminum nitride is exposed to the combustion exhaust gas. Aluminum nitride exposed to the combustion exhaust gas reacts and decomposes to promote corrosion. Aluminum nitride reacts with moisture in the combustion exhaust gas and decomposes into ammonia and alumina, but ammonia is further decomposed into nitrogen, which is thought to cause reactions similar to the above by ions, electrons, radicals, etc. in the plasma. It is done.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an electrode structure excellent in corrosion resistance against atmospheric plasma and a plasma generation apparatus using the electrode structure.
The present invention is an electrode structure including an electrode for generating plasma, which is used in a plasma generation apparatus, and is represented by RE 2 Si 2 O 7 (RE is a rare earth element) on the surface on the plasma generation region side. An electrode structure characterized in that a silicate layer having a main crystal phase of monosilicate represented by disilicate or RE 2 SiO 5 (RE is a rare earth element) is formed.
Here, the RE is preferably at least one of Y, Er, Yb, Tm, Lu, Tb and Dy. Moreover, it is preferable that the thickness of the said silicate layer is 0.01-10 mm.
Furthermore, the present invention is the plasma generation apparatus characterized in that the electrode structure is provided with the surface facing the plasma generation region.
According to the present invention, a disilicate or RE 2 represented by RE 2 Si 2 O 7 (RE is a rare earth element) is formed on at least the surface of the electrode structure having an electrode for generating plasma on the plasma generation region side. Since a silicate layer with a monosilicate monosilicate expressed by SiO 5 (RE is a rare earth element) as the main crystal phase is formed, it has excellent corrosion resistance to atmospheric plasma and maintains a uniform discharge on the plasma generation region side. can do.
In particular, when RE is at least one of Y, Er, Yb, Tm, Lu, Tb, and Dy, the difference in linear expansion coefficient from an electrode made of tungsten or molybdenum can be reduced.
Moreover, when the thickness of the silicate layer is 0.01 to 10 mm, high electric field strength can be maintained with good moldability.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic explanatory view of an embodiment of a plasma generating apparatus provided with an electrode structure of the present invention, in which an
Then, as the
In the
Here, the main crystal phase refers to a crystal phase having the largest ratio of crystal phases obtained from the intensity ratio of the X-ray diffraction peak using the pulverized powder of the sintered body. Crystal phases other than the main crystal phase may include silicon oxide, rare earth oxide, and ceramic crystal phases such as silicon nitride, alumina, aluminum nitride, cordierite, spodumene, and aluminum titanate.
In the plasma generation region 4 (flow path through which the combustion exhaust gas etc.) passes between the pair of
The
The
The thickness of the
Next, a method for manufacturing the
First, the slurry for forming the tape-shaped ceramic green sheet used as the
Next, the obtained slurry is formed to have a predetermined thickness according to a method such as a doctor blade method, a calendar method, a printing method, a reverse roll coater method, etc., to form a ceramic green sheet. The ceramic green sheet may be processed as cutting, cutting, punching, and the like, and a plurality of ceramic green sheets may be laminated and used as an integrated laminate by thermocompression bonding or the like.
On the other hand, the conductor paste for forming the
The conductor paste thus obtained is printed on the surface of the ceramic green sheet using screen printing or the like. Next, the ceramic green sheet on which the conductor paste is printed and the ceramic green sheet on which another conductor paste is printed or not printed are overlaid so that the printed conductor paste is covered with the ceramic green sheet, A ceramic green sheet having a conductive paste disposed therein is obtained.
A ceramic green sheet having the conductor paste therein is fired to form an electrode structure. In this manner, the electrode structure having the shape and the number required for the plasma generating apparatus is formed.
Finally, the plasma generating apparatus is manufactured by holding the electrode structure at a predetermined interval.
In addition to the manufacturing methods described so far, SiO 2 powder and rare earth oxide or rare earth nitride powder are mixed with a solvent or binder, applied to the electrode, and heated to form a dense body. Also good. Alternatively, it may be formed by thermal spraying. In this case, disilicate or monosilicate is sprayed as it is, or SiO 2 and rare earth oxide (rare earth nitride) are sprayed and reacted to form a rare earth silicate layer. May be. Furthermore, it is also possible to form a rare earth silicate layer by sputtering.
In the electrode structure, the
Further, in FIG. 1, the structure is composed of a pair of electrode structures. For example, three or more electrode structures are arranged in parallel so that a plasma generation region is formed between the opposing electrode structures. It may be a form (a form in which the plasma generation regions are formed on both main surface sides of the electrode structure disposed inside).
Furthermore, the shape of the
Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 2 is a schematic explanatory view of another embodiment of the plasma generating apparatus provided with the electrode structure of the present invention, in which the

According to this structure, compared with the structure shown in FIG. 1, the strength of the
Regarding the manufacturing method of this embodiment, first, the
At this time, a slurry for forming a ceramic green sheet to be the plate-
As shown in FIG. 2, disilicate or RE 2 SiO 5 (RE is a rare earth element) represented by RE 2 Si 2 O 7 (RE is a rare earth element) is formed on at least the surface of the
Other processes are the same as those in the method for manufacturing the plasma generating apparatus shown in FIG.
Note that the method of manufacturing the plasma generating electrode of the present embodiment is not limited to the above method.
Prepared as raw material powder for forming the
The following evaluation was performed on the electrode structure thus obtained.
The main crystal phase constituting the silicate layer was identified by performing XRD on the fired porcelain. Moreover, about content of the main crystal phase which comprises a silicate layer, it calculated from the intensity ratio of the X-ray diffraction peak using the pulverized powder of the sintered compact. The thickness of the silicate layer was measured by observing the cut surface with a microscope or SEM.
