Abstract
Description
請求項に係る発明は、金属等の母材の表面に溶射によってアモルファス(非晶質材料)の皮膜を形成する、溶射によるアモルファス皮膜の形成方法に関するものである。 The present invention relates to a method for forming an amorphous film by thermal spraying, in which an amorphous (amorphous material) film is formed on the surface of a base material such as metal by thermal spraying.
Amorphous (amorphous) metal is a metal with an irregular atomic arrangement that is different from the crystalline state, and has high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent magnetic properties.・ Development has been made. Various proposals have also been made regarding techniques for forming an amorphous coating on the surface of an object by thermal spraying. If an amorphous coating can be formed by thermal spraying, and if a simple thermal spraying facility is used and it can be performed by working in the air at any site, the advantage is that the coating can be easily applied to a large area. Because there is. Even if it is not a completely amorphous metal but partially contains a crystalline part, it generally exhibits excellent properties with respect to mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, magnetic properties and the like.
In the following Patent Document 1, an alloy material melted by plasma spraying or the like is blown off with a flame, and an amorphous body is obtained by spraying and cooling a base body (base material) that moves at high speed in a direction orthogonal to the flight direction. A method for forming a film is described. The apparatus to be used is as shown in FIG. 15, in which a metal powder is supplied into the flame F sprayed from the nozzle 5, melted and sprayed onto the substrate M, and rapidly cooled to form an amorphous film on the substrate M. A cooling gas is blown onto the substrate M for cooling the surface thereof. Thus, an amorphous layer having a thickness of 0.3 mm or more is obtained on the surface of the flat substrate M as shown.
In order to obtain an amorphous metal or the like by spraying a spray material together with a flame on the base material, the temperature of the sprayed material once melted by the flame is decreased very quickly (that is, the temperature is lowered in a short time as the material becomes supercooled). ) It needs to be cooled. The above Patent Document 1 also describes that the alloy is rapidly cooled at a speed of 10 2 to 10 4 K / sec.
However, in practice, it is not easy to quench the sprayed material to such an extent that amorphous is formed. Even if it can be rapidly cooled at a speed of about 10 4 K / sec or higher if the material is in a high temperature state exceeding 2000 ° C., such as immediately after being injected with a flame, the temperature dropped to about several hundred ° C. After that, it is difficult to achieve the same cooling rate and sufficiently lower the minimum temperature because the temperature difference from the surroundings becomes small. Under such circumstances, as described in Patent Document 2, it is difficult to make a general amorphous metal (other than a metal glass) amorphous. Therefore, a thermal spraying method for industrially mass-producing amorphous metal is not available. It has not been established in reality.
請求項に係る発明は、金属ガラス等には限定されない一般のアモルファス材料の非晶質皮膜(または大部分が非晶質のもの)を溶射によって形成するための方法を提供するものである。 The invention according to the claims provides a method for forming an amorphous film (or mostly amorphous) of a general amorphous material not limited to metallic glass or the like by thermal spraying.
In the method for forming an amorphous coating by thermal spraying according to the claimed invention, a flame containing material particles is sprayed from a nozzle toward a base material, the material particles are melted by the flame, and then the material particles and the flame are It is characterized by cooling before reaching the material. “Flame” includes arcs or plasma jets. The “amorphous film” includes amorphous metals and non-metals, and those that are not completely amorphous.
According to this thermal spraying method, the injected material particles and the flame are cooled, so that the material particles once melted by the flame are considerably lowered in temperature before reaching the base material in the downstream portion of the flame or the like. . Therefore, as described above, the material particles can be cooled sufficiently strongly even in the latter half (relatively low temperature range) where it is difficult to achieve a sufficient cooling rate and minimum temperature as usual, and the base material is cooled or kept warm. Even if this is not the case, the material can be formed on the surface of the base material as an amorphous film.
The above cooling (i.e., cooling of a flame containing material particles) is performed by spraying a gas or a liquid mist mixed gas (mixed liquid of mist into the gas) from the portion in contact with the flame as internal cooling, or It is good to carry out by spraying on a flame as external cooling from the outer peripheral part away from the flame. As the gas, for example, air, nitrogen, argon, or the like is used, and the gas may be blown obliquely from the upstream side to the downstream side in the flame injection direction so as to gradually approach the center line of the flame.
If the gas for cooling is blown against the flame in this way, the temperature of the flame can be lowered by the gas, and the length of the flame can be reduced by suppressing the spread of the flame, so that the temperature of the flame is not far from the injection port. Can be lowered. The fact that the temperature of the flame can be lowered at a position close to the injection port is nothing other than that the material once melted in the flame can be rapidly cooled. If a gas is further blown to a location near the downstream side of the flame, the cooling rate of the material particles after a certain temperature drop can be increased. The gas may be blown at a plurality of locations in the flame length direction and the circumferential direction. When a gas containing mist (for example, water mist) is used, a high cooling capacity is exhibited due to the heat of vaporization of fine (about 50 μm) liquid particles. As a result, the adhesion temperature of the sprayed material to the base material can be lowered to about 150 ° C.
上記母材は、特別な温度コントロールをすることなく、つまり上記の気体または液体ミスト混合気体を吹き付けること以外には上記母材を冷却等することなく、その温度を50℃以上・350℃以下にするのがよい。
そのようにすれば、母材を別途冷却等しなくとも、吹き付ける気体等の作用で母材温度の上昇が抑制され、非晶質溶射材料がその表面に付着しやすくなる。
The temperature of the base material is 50 ° C. or higher and 350 ° C. or lower without special temperature control, that is, without cooling the base material other than spraying the gas or liquid mist mixed gas. It is good to do.
In such a case, even if the base material is not separately cooled, an increase in the base material temperature is suppressed by the action of the blowing gas and the like, and the amorphous sprayed material easily adheres to the surface.
The above material particles should be melted within 5/1000 seconds after leaving the nozzle, and then cooled at a rate of 10,000 K / second or more and 1 million K / second level within 2/1000 seconds. It is.
If the material particles exiting the nozzle are not melted within 5/1000 seconds, the particles reach the base material in a solid state (or in a state where only the surface is melted) and do not form a uniform amorphous film. . Also, if the molten material particles are not cooled at a rate of 10,000 to 1 million K / second (up to several million K / second) within 2/1000 seconds after melting, it will become amorphous. In addition, the base material at an appropriate distance from the nozzle (about 300 mm or less. If the distance is exceeded, oxygen is increased in the flame and the oxidation of particles easily proceeds), the temperature cannot be sufficiently low.
上記の材料粒子としては、下記式(1)にしたがう粒径(球形に見立てる場合の直径)Rのものを使用するのが好ましい。
R=(6U)/{ρ・C・(v/v0)1/2} …(1)
ただしここで、Uは単位表面積当たりの熱量を示す材料特性であって、
U=(材料粒子の熱量(cal/℃))/(材料粒子の表面積(cm2))

As said material particle, it is preferable to use the thing of the particle diameter (diameter in the case of considering it spherically) R according to following formula (1).
R = (6U) / {ρ · C · (v / v 0 ) 1/2 } (1)
Where U is a material property indicating the amount of heat per unit surface area,
U = (calorie of material particles (cal / ° C)) / (surface area of material particles (cm 2 ))
= C ・ ρ ・ V / A (cal / cm 2 ℃)
0.196 / 1000 ≤ U ≤ 1.96 / 1000
V: Volume of material particles (cm 3 ) A: Surface area of material particles (cm 2 )
ρ: specific gravity of material (g / cm 3 ), C: specific heat of material (cal / g ° C)
v: Material particle velocity during injection (cm / sec)
v 0 : Standard material particle velocity (6000 cm / sec)
It is. Since U takes a value within the above range, an appropriate range for the particle size R (that is, an amorphous film can be formed by thermal spraying) is determined.
溶射によって安定してアモルファス皮膜を形成するためには、溶射する材料粒子の粒径を適切に定める必要がある。粒径が大きい場合には溶融が不完全になったり溶融後の冷却速度が不十分になったりするほか、粒径が小さすぎる場合には、溶融状態で酸化が進むために好ましいアモルファス皮膜が形成されないからである。 In order to stably form an amorphous film by thermal spraying, it is necessary to appropriately determine the particle size of the material particles to be sprayed. If the particle size is large, the melting may be incomplete or the cooling rate after melting may be insufficient. If the particle size is too small, a favorable amorphous film is formed because oxidation proceeds in the molten state. Because it is not done.
q=hA(T−T∞)=−CρV(dT/dt) …(2)
ただし、
時間tが0のときの T=T0(初期材料温度)
(T−T∞)/(T0−T∞)=expe{−(hA/CρV)t}
The above formula (1) has found an appropriate particle size range of the material particles based on the knowledge obtained by the inventors through experiments and Newton's cooling theory as described below. That is,
1) The shape of the material particles in flight injected from the nozzle was confirmed by the experiments shown in FIGS. 9 (a) and 9 (b) in which spraying was performed toward the agar. In other words, agar (1.7% by weight is agar and the rest is water) is placed at the position where the base material is normally provided (position approximately 200 mm away from the nozzle), and a flame containing material particles is injected toward it. did. The material particles remain in the shape of the agar while in flight, but when recovered and observed, the material particles in flight were found to have a spherical shape similar to the initial particle size of the powdered material before jetting. . If it is spherical, the volume and surface area of the powder particles to be described later can be grasped, so the Newton cooling method is easy to apply.
2) The velocity of the injected material particles was measured as shown in FIG. FIG. 7 shows the measurement of velocity using a Pitot tube type flowmeter while changing the air pressure for external cooling.
3) The flame temperature was measured as shown in Fig. 3 using thermal vision.
Based on the experimental data as described above, the cooling rate of the material particles is predicted based on the Newton cooling equation shown in the following equation (2). That is, considering the amount of heat transfer q (cal / sec) per hour,
q = hA (T-T ∞ ) = - CρV (dT / dt) ... (2)
However,
When time t is 0 T = T 0 (initial material temperature)
(T-T ∞) / ( T 0 -T ∞) = exp e {- (hA / CρV) t}
h: heat transfer coefficient (cal / cm 2 · K · sec), T: material particle temperature (K)
T∞ : ambient temperature (K), A: surface area (cm 2 ), V: volume (cm 3 )
ρ: Average specific gravity (g / cm 3 component weight ratio distribution)
C: Average specific heat (weight ratio distribution of cal / g · K component system)
When the heat transfer coefficient h is determined so as to conform to the actually measured data in FIG. 3 and the like, and the temperature change under a specific condition of a specific material particle to be described later is calculated, it is as shown in FIG. According to FIG. 8, about 3/4 of the spraying time (time from spraying to reaching the base material) is spent for heating the material particles, while cooling is as high as 10 4 to 10 6 K / s. It can be seen that the cooling rate is about 1/4 of the spraying time. Moreover, it turns out that a difference arises in a heating rate and a cooling rate with the particle size of material particle | grains.
材料粒子の適切な粒径Rに関する式(1)は、上記計算結果の粒子径に加熱・冷却速度等を考慮に入れて、下記の観点から作成している。まず、材料粒子の物性(比重・比熱)によって相違があること、および、材料粒子の表面積により溶射温度の影響の受け方が違うことを考慮して、材料粒子の温度の上昇および下降は、その粒子が有する下記のような単位表面積当たりの熱量Uによって決まるものとした。
U=(材料粒子の熱量)/(材料粒子の表面積)=C・ρ・V/A (cal/cm2℃)
R=(6U)/{ρ・C・(v/v0)1/2} …(1)
によって求められる。
Formula (1) relating to the appropriate particle size R of the material particles is created from the following viewpoints, taking into consideration the heating / cooling rate and the like in the particle size of the calculation result. First, considering that there are differences depending on the physical properties (specific gravity and specific heat) of the material particles and that the effect of the spraying temperature is different depending on the surface area of the material particles, the temperature rise and fall of the material particles Is determined by the amount of heat U per unit surface area as shown below.
U = (heat amount of material particles) / (surface area of material particles) = C · ρ · V / A (cal / cm 2 ° C)
However,
C: Specific heat of material (cal / g ° C), ρ: Specific gravity of material (g / cm 3 )
A: surface area of the material (cm 2, 4πr 2), V: volume of the material (cm 3, 4πr 3/3 )
The above-mentioned U value can be obtained by taking into consideration the actual amorphous film.
0.196 / 1000 ≤ U ≤ 1.96 / 1000
It is in.
The effect of the material ejection speed due to the type of spray gun during spraying was corrected by the following speed correction term.
(V / v 0 ) 1/2
v: Material particle velocity during injection (cm / sec)
v 0 : Standard material particle velocity (6000 cm / sec)
When the above formula of U is expressed using the particle size R (= 2r) and R is given on the left side, the particle size R of the material particles is
R = (6U) / {ρ · C · (v / v 0 ) 1/2 } (1)
Sought by.
上記の材料粒子として、たとえば平均粒子速度が60m/sのフレーム式溶射ガンを使用した場合、粒径Rが10〜100μmのものを使用するとよい。
また、上記の式(1)におけるU値に上記の数値を入れて、噴射速度が600m/sの高速フレーム式溶射ガンを使用するときは、溶射によってアモルファス皮膜を形成可能な粒径Rは、3.2〜32μmとなる。
For example, when a flame spray gun having an average particle velocity of 60 m / s is used as the material particles, particles having a particle size R of 10 to 100 μm may be used.
Further, when the above numerical value is put into the U value in the above formula (1) and a high-speed flame spray gun having an injection speed of 600 m / s is used, the particle size R capable of forming an amorphous coating by spraying is: 3.2 to 32 μm.
As the above-mentioned flame, it is preferable to use a reducing flame having a volume ratio of CO of 20 to 30% (that is, having less oxygen) because the amount of oxygen is less than the appropriate amount (theoretical ratio). However, this does not apply when hydrogen is used as the fuel.
When the amorphous film formed on the base material is observed with a microscope, an unfavorable amorphous film in which oxides are scattered in many places is formed even if the halo peak and the crystallinity by X-ray analysis are similar. It can be seen that there are cases. Generation of such oxides can be prevented by preventing the particle size of the material particles from becoming too small as described above, but can also be suppressed by using a reducing flame in a flame type thermal spraying apparatus. It became clear by experiment. Thus, when the reducing flame is used, it can be said to be particularly effective when the particle diameter of the material particles is small or when the distance from the injection port of the flame or the like to the base material is long.
The experimental results relating to this are shown in Table 2, FIG. 10 and FIG. It can be seen that by using a reducing flame, it is possible to form a preferable amorphous film with less oxide even if there is no difference in halo peak or crystallinity.
It is also advantageous to use an inert gas (nitrogen, argon, or the like) as the gas to be blown as internal cooling or external cooling (gas in the case of blowing only gas or gas in a liquid mist mixed gas).
Experiments have revealed that the material particles can be prevented from being oxidized by spraying an inert gas as internal cooling or external cooling, and a preferable amorphous film can be formed. The experimental results are shown in Table 2, FIG. 10 and FIG. This method is particularly effective when the particle size of the material particles is small or when the distance from the injection port of the flame or the like to the base material is long, etc. It can be said that it is appropriate.
General industry containing impurities (Mn, S, etc.) in the range of 0.1% (0.1% by weight of the total amount) to 0.6% (0.6% by weight of the total amount) as the above material particles It is commercially preferred to use materials.
According to the above method according to the claims, it is possible to form an amorphous film on the surface of the base material without using specially pure material particles having impurities less than 0.1%. That is, an amorphous film can be formed even by a general industrial material containing about 0.1 to 0.6% of impurities as described above. When such a general industrial material is used, it is greatly advantageous in terms of construction cost.
More preferably, the spraying gun having the nozzle is used in the air, and the material particles are sprayed onto the surface of the base material which is not cooled on the back and inside.
According to the method of the invention, it is not necessary to use special pure material particles with impurities less than 0.1%, the spray gun can be used in a vacuum or in a special atmosphere, or the base material can be used on the back or inside. There is no need for cooling. An amorphous film can be formed on the surface of the base material even under such special conditions. If a general industrial material containing about 0.1 to 0.6% of impurities is used, a spray gun is used in the atmosphere, and no special cooling is applied to the base material, an amorphous film is formed. In any field, it is possible to easily implement an arbitrary base material at a low cost, and the object for forming an amorphous film is greatly expanded.
鉄クロム系合金のアモルファス皮膜を形成すべく、上記の材料粒子として、
Fe(r1)−Cr(r2)−P(r3)−C(r4)−不純物
のものを使用するとよい。ただし、riの表示は原子%で、
Σri=r1+r2+r3+r4≒100(%)、および
65<r1<75、4<r2<15、8<r3<17、1<r4<8

このような鉄クロム系合金のアモルファス皮膜は、耐食性にすぐれることで知られているものの、工業用として形成することが従来は難しかった。請求項に係る発明の方法によってこうしたアモルファス皮膜の形成が可能になった。これにより、簡単な溶射の作業によって当該母材の耐食性を飛躍的に高めることが可能になる。
In order to form an amorphous film of iron-chromium alloy,
Fe (r1) -Cr (r2) -P (r3) -C (r4) -impurity may be used. However, the indication of ri is atomic%,
Σri = r1 + r2 + r3 + r4≈100 (%), and 65 <r1 <75, 4 <r2 <15, 8 <r3 <17, 1 <r4 <8
The impurities are 0.1 to 0.6% by weight.
Such an amorphous film of iron-chromium alloy is known to have excellent corrosion resistance, but it has been difficult to form it for industrial use. The amorphous film can be formed by the method of the claimed invention. Thereby, it becomes possible to dramatically improve the corrosion resistance of the base material by a simple thermal spraying operation.
It is particularly preferable that r1, r2, r3, and r4 are 70, 10, 13, and 7 (impurities are 0.1 to 0.6% by weight).
Then, an amorphous coating of an iron-chromium alloy (Fe 70 Cr 10 P 13 C 7 ), which has extremely high corrosion resistance, can be formed on the base material by thermal spraying. Thereby, it becomes possible to dramatically improve the corrosion resistance of the base material. In the corrosion test conducted by the inventors immersing the alloy film formed by the above method in aqua regia, the remarkable corrosion resistance as shown in FIG. 12 (the progress of corrosion was 1.2% / day). Was confirmed.
r1、r2、r3、r4がそれぞれ70、10、13、7である上記の材料粒子として、粒径が38〜63μmのものを使用するのが適切である。実験により、アモルファス皮膜を形成するための適切な粒径がその範囲であることが明らかになった。
そのような材料粒子について物性値等を前記の式(1)に当てはめると、前記のU値は
0.75/1000 ≦ U ≦ 1.23/1000
である。
As the material particles having r1, r2, r3, and r4 of 70, 10, 13, and 7, respectively, it is appropriate to use particles having a particle diameter of 38 to 63 μm. Experiments have shown that the appropriate particle size for forming an amorphous coating is within that range.
When the physical property values and the like of such material particles are applied to the above equation (1), the U value is
0.75 / 1000 ≤ U ≤ 1.23 / 1000
It is.
磁性合金のアモルファス皮膜を形成するために、上記の材料粒子として、
Fe(r1)−B(r2)−Si(r3)−C(r4)−不純物
のものを使用するのもよい。ただし、riの表示は原子%であって、
Σri=r1+r2+r3+r4≒100、および
2<r1<85、11<r2<16、3<r3<12、1<r4<72
とし、不純物は0.6重量%以下(下限はたとえば0.003重量%)とする。
このような材料粒子を使用すれば、あらゆる方向にすぐれた磁性を有していて鉄損の少ない、好ましいアモルファス磁性合金被膜を母材表面に形成することができる。
In order to form an amorphous film of magnetic alloy,
Fe (r1) -B (r2) -Si (r3) -C (r4) -impurity may be used. However, the indication of ri is atomic%,
Σri = r1 + r2 + r3 + r4≈100, and 2 <r1 <85, 11 <r2 <16, 3 <r3 <12, 1 <r4 <72
The impurities are 0.6% by weight or less (the lower limit is, for example, 0.003% by weight).
By using such material particles, it is possible to form a preferable amorphous magnetic alloy coating film having excellent magnetism in all directions and low iron loss on the surface of the base material.
上記のr1、r2、r3、r4がそれぞれ81、13、4、2である(不純物は0.6重量%以下。また下限はたとえば0.003重量%)ものを使用するのがとくに好ましい。
このような材料粒子を使用することにより、あらゆる方向にすぐれた磁性を発揮する磁性合金(Fe81B13Si4C2)のアモルファス皮膜を溶射によって母材上に形成することができる。これに関する実験結果は図14に示している。
It is particularly preferable to use those in which r1, r2, r3, and r4 are 81, 13, 4, and 2 respectively (impurities are 0.6% by weight or less, and the lower limit is, for example, 0.003% by weight).
By using such material particles, an amorphous film of a magnetic alloy (Fe 81 B 13 Si 4 C 2 ) exhibiting excellent magnetism in all directions can be formed on the base material by thermal spraying. The experimental results relating to this are shown in FIG.
According to the method for forming an amorphous film by thermal spraying according to the claimed invention, the sprayed material particles and the flame can be cooled sufficiently strongly, and the material is formed on the surface of the base material as an amorphous film. can do.
The above-mentioned cooling is measured by blowing a gas or the like on the flame, and if the kind of the gas, the mode of blowing, the particle size of the material particles, the flame components, etc. are appropriately set, the ratio of amorphization and oxidation Further improvements can be made with respect to the amount of product generated. It is also possible to use low-purity material particles as the thermal spray material, which facilitates commercial implementation at a low cost.
When forming an amorphous coating of an iron-chromium alloy, especially a coating of Fe 70 Cr 10 P 13 C 7 on a base material, it is possible to dramatically increase the corrosion resistance of the base material by a simple thermal spraying operation.
Embodiments relating to the embodiment of the invention are introduced in FIGS.
First, the structure of the thermal spraying apparatus 1 is demonstrated based on FIG. 1 and FIG. The thermal spraying device 1 is based on a commercially available spray gun 2 and supplies fuel (acetylene and oxygen) from a gas supply pipe 3 and the like, and also supplies metal powder and carrier gas from a powder supply pipe 4 to provide a thermal spray material (supply). The flame F including the molten metal powder) can be sprayed from the main nozzle (crater) 5 of the thermal spray gun 2 to the right in the drawing. Of the main nozzle 5, the sprayed material is ejected from the central ejection port 5 a shown in FIG. 2 (b), and the mixed gas of acetylene and oxygen (or air) is combusted from the plurality of ejection ports 5 b around it. The flame F formed is injected.
The thermal spraying apparatus 1 used in the experiment is modified as shown in the following a) to c) on the above-described commercially available thermal spraying gun 2. That is,
a) A support frame 7 was provided near the tip of the thermal spray gun 2, and a plurality of external gas injection nozzles 10 (11, 12, 13, 14) were attached to the support frame 7 as shown in FIG. Each of the nozzles 10 is a metal tube having an inner diameter of about 5 to 10 mm, and both extend from the base attached on the support frame 7 to the outside of the main nozzle 5 of the spray gun 2 almost in parallel with the injection direction of the flame F. The tip is inclined toward the center line of the flame F as shown. The primary nozzle 11, the secondary nozzle 12, the tertiary nozzle 13, and the fourth nozzle 14 are named according to the angle of the tip. The primary nozzle 11 is provided with a tip (opening) at a position about 60 mm downstream from the main nozzle 5, and the injection destination is further directed to the flame center by 20 to 30 mm, and the other nozzles 12, 13, and 14 are injected Each point is directed to the flame center on the downstream side in this order. As a result, a cooling gas H (external gas, air, nitrogen, or water mist) is provided on the downstream side of the flame F (in the range of about a half of the latter half of the main nozzle 5 to the base material M). ). As the nozzle 10, the first to fourth order nozzles 11 to 14 are arranged separately in the length direction of the flame F as described above, and there is an interval of 45 ° to 72 ° around the flame F. A plurality of nozzles 11 to 14 are provided. The base of each nozzle 10 attached to the support frame 7 leads to a joint 16a provided on the back of the support frame 7 (the side opposite to the direction in which the flame F is sprayed), and is connected to the flexible hose 16 by the joint 16a. ing. Note that the support frame 7 is for experimentation, and the nozzle 10 can be arranged without using it. Further, the length, tip position, angle, gas injection pressure, injection amount, etc. of the nozzle 10 (11, 12, 13, 14) can be appropriately changed according to the cooling conditions and the like.
b) A mist generator 15 is connected to the upstream side of each pipe of the external gas injection nozzle 10 (11 to 14) via the flexible hose 16 described above. As the mist generator 15, a commercially available oil mist generator (lubricator) used for supplying lubricating oil is diverted, and water is put in a mist form by placing water in the liquid supply portion instead of lubricating oil. (Water mist) is sent into each nozzle 10 together with air. The thermal spraying apparatus 1 injects the water mist from the tip of the nozzle 10 toward the flame F in this way. If no liquid is put into the mist generator 15, air (or a gas such as nitrogen) containing no mist can be ejected from the tip of the nozzle 10. In addition, the means for injecting water mist is not limited to the above.
c) As shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, the spray gun 2 has a gas injection cylinder (air cap) 6 around the main nozzle 5 that blows out the flame F, and cools the main body of the spray gun 2 For the purpose of controlling the temperature of the flame F and the like, a type from which a cooling gas (for example, room temperature air G) can be blown out is adopted. In this thermal spraying apparatus 1, the blowout hole 6 a of the injection cylinder 6 is modified to give a specific angle to the gas injection direction, and the diameter of the spraying material outlet 5 a of the main nozzle 5 is set to be larger. Yes. That is, as the injection angle of the cooling gas, an angle of 10 ° (or 9 to 12 °) with the direction of the center line of the flame F as shown in the drawing so as to gradually approach the center line of the flame F from the outer periphery, The diameter (diameter) of the jet nozzle 5a was 5.0 mm (or 4 to 6 mm), which was about 60% larger than a commercially available product (the diameter was 3.0 mm). The reason why the diameter of the jet outlet 5a is increased is that the sprayed material can be ejected in large quantities at a high temperature, and the injection angle of the cooling gas is set to 10 ° closer to the center line. This is because the air F from the cylinder 6 cools the flame F at the upstream portion (position close to the main nozzle 5) and suppresses its spread to shorten the flame length. The cooling of the flame F by the external gas injection nozzle 10 is referred to as “external cooling”, and the cooling by the gas (air G) from the gas injection cylinder 6 is referred to as “internal cooling” to distinguish between the two.
When the spraying apparatus 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 with such modifications is used, the flame F (including the spraying material) sprayed from the main nozzle 5 has a temperature as shown in FIG. Change. That is, immediately after exiting the main nozzle 5, the flame F is at a high temperature of about 2500 ° C. due to its large diameter, etc., but is about 1400 ° C. at about half the spraying distance. The flight speed of the metal powder about 3/1000 seconds after exiting the main nozzle 5 is about 30 m / s (see FIG. 7), during which the metal powder is completely melted. In the latter half, external cooling by the external gas injection nozzle 10 starts, and the molten metal powder is accelerated to about 100 m / s by the gas (or mist-containing gas) injected thereby (see FIG. 7). The latter half of the cooling is performed at a rate of 10 4 to 10 6 K / second, and the metal powder in a molten state adheres to the surface of the base material M while being cooled at high speed, and forms an amorphous film there. The temperature of the base material M when the coating is formed in this way is around 300 ° C. (50 ° C. or higher and 350 ° C. or lower) as shown in FIG.
以上のような特徴をもつ溶射装置1を用いた試験により、鉄板の表面上に、溶射によって、非晶質の(または大部分が非晶質の)アモルファス皮膜を形成することができた。試験では、図1(a)のように、主ノズル5の先端開口から約150〜200mmの距離に鉄板製の母材Mを置き、溶射材料として各種金属粉末を供給して溶射を行った。以下に、発明者らが行った試験とその結果等を紹介する。 As a result of the test using the thermal spraying apparatus 1 having the above-described characteristics, an amorphous (or mostly amorphous) amorphous film could be formed on the surface of the iron plate by thermal spraying. In the test, as shown in FIG. 1 (a), a base material M made of iron plate was placed at a distance of about 150 to 200 mm from the tip opening of the main nozzle 5, and various metal powders were supplied as a thermal spray material to perform thermal spraying. In the following, the tests conducted by the inventors and their results will be introduced.
The temperature distribution of the flame F during the test was measured, for example, as shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b) are diagrams showing the temperature change along the center line of the flame F (each vertical axis indicates a temperature index, and the horizontal axis indicates a relative position from the left main nozzle 5). It is. 3A shows the measurement result in the high temperature range, and FIG. 3B shows the measurement result in the low temperature range (the low temperature range (200 in FIG. 3A is related to the measurement range and the display function of the measuring instrument). An error appears in the part below ℃)). The temperature of the flame F is significantly lowered from the initial high temperature range (2500 to 1500 ° C.), and the temperature is lowered to 200 ° C. or less in the latter half portion close to the base material M. The temperature of 200 ° C. or lower is much lower than the melting point of the alloy that is the thermal spray material, but the thermal spray material then adheres to the surface of the base material M and becomes a solid.
FIG. 3C is a photographed image of the entire flame F by thermal vision. The main nozzle 5 is on the left and the base material M is on the right. In the image, a part of the flame F is blocked by the external gas injection nozzle 10 extending to the left and right, but it is observed that the high temperature range in the flame F is considerably short.
Thermal vision refers to an infrared camera manufactured by Nippon Avionics Co., Ltd. (trade name “Compact Thermo”. Also called “Thermo”). Measurement by thermal vision is performed at ε (emissivity) of 0.10.
試験では、母材Mとした鉄板の表面に熱電対を付け(熱電対を裏側より穴に挿入して表面付近に当てる)、溶射ガンおよび母材Mを固定した状態で溶射中の母材Mの温度変化を測定した。図4はその温度測定結果であり、母材Mの温度は350℃以上には上昇していないことが分かる。火炎Fが外部ガスH(図4の例では水ミスト)等で十分に冷却されることが、母材Mの温度上昇が抑制される理由であると考えられる。 In the test, a thermocouple is attached to the surface of the steel plate used as the base material M (a thermocouple is inserted into the hole from the back side and applied to the surface), and the base material M being sprayed with the spray gun and the base material M fixed. The temperature change of was measured. FIG. 4 shows the temperature measurement results, and it can be seen that the temperature of the base material M does not rise above 350 ° C. It is considered that the temperature rise of the base material M is suppressed when the flame F is sufficiently cooled by the external gas H (water mist in the example of FIG. 4) or the like.
FIG. 5 shows a summary of the results of the thermal vision measurement of the flame temperature distribution that changes depending on the air pressure (and the flow rate that changes with it) when air (external air) is blown as the external gas. Yes. The figure shows a temperature history from the position where the spraying distance is 100 mm until the base material M is reached. In the case (a) where air is not blown, the temperature of the flame F does not decrease even in the latter half, but rather rises due to the influence of a part returning to the base material M. In cases (b) to (f) in which the air pressure is set to 0.1 to 0.5 MPa, the temperature of the flame F drops before reaching the base material M.
6 (a) to 6 (f) show the results of X-ray diffraction measurement of the film formed on the base material in the cases (a) to (f) in FIG. 5 (the horizontal axis represents the diffraction angle). 2θ, the vertical axis is intensity). Except for the case (a) where air is not blown, in each case (b) to (f), a clear halo peak indicating that the majority of the film is amorphous can be confirmed. The crystallinity of the film in each case of (a) to (f) was 75.8%, 18.8%, 16.2%, 16.5%, 16.3%, 16.4%, respectively. Since the crystallinity value usually has a deviation depending on the measurement conditions (measuring instrument, measurement method, etc.), it is said that the value is not suitable for absolute evaluation. However, for the values under the current measurement conditions (using the following RIGAKU equipment and analysis software), if the crystallinity was 20% or less, crystals could not be found even with an optical microscope. Is considered to be amorphous. Further, the performance is proved by the immersion test result in aqua regia (FIG. 12).

It is.
また、図5・図6における(a)〜(f)の各ケースごとの外部エア圧力・火炎速度、火炎の平均冷却速度は表1のとおりである。
図7は、図5・図6の例と同様に外部エアの圧力を変更した際の火炎の速度を測定した結果を示す。速度はピトー管を検出器に用いた自動流速計AV-80型(岡野製作所)を用いて測定している。 FIG. 7 shows the result of measuring the flame speed when the pressure of the external air is changed as in the examples of FIGS. The velocity is measured using an automatic velocimeter AV-80 type (Okano Seisakusho) using a Pitot tube as a detector.
FIG. 8 is a diagram showing a temperature change of metal particles (particle diameters of 38 μm and 63 μm) in the flame when the pressure of the external air is 0.30 MPa. The temperature change is obtained by calculation according to Newton's law of cooling based on the flame temperature obtained in FIG. 5 and the flame velocity obtained in FIG. Fe 70 —Cr 10 —P 13 —C 7 (numerical value is atomic%. Impurities are 2.72 million K / sec when the particle size of the metal particles is 38 μm and 23.3K K / sec when the particle size is 63 μm. It can be seen that a cooling rate sufficient to amorphize the alloy (including up to 0.6 wt%) can be obtained. The fact that the particle size of the metal particles in the flame is almost equal to the particle size of the sprayed powder used as a raw material is captured by spraying in agar placed 200 mm away from the jet nozzle. This is confirmed by the test as shown in FIG.
According to FIG. 10, it is observed that an amorphous film without crystal is formed although pores peculiar to thermal spraying are observed. The type, amount and pressure of the supplied fuel gas, the type of metal powder, the injection speed and maximum temperature of the flame F, and the injection amount of the air G (internal gas) are basically the same as those in FIGS. Are the same, but the conditions shown in Table 2 are changed.
図10によると、通常炎(理論比どおりの酸素量を含む)の火炎を用いるとともに内部冷却・外部冷却をエアにて行う場合(ケース(a))には、酸化物によるスジが多く観察される。しかし、還元炎(COを20〜30体積%としたもの)を用い、または内部冷却・外部冷却を窒素にて行う場合(ケース(b)〜(e))には、そのスジは少なくなる。ケース(c)・(e)においては、とくに酸化物の少ない皮膜が得られた。 According to FIG. 10, when using a flame of a normal flame (including the oxygen amount as the theoretical ratio) and performing internal cooling / external cooling with air (case (a)), many streaks due to oxides are observed. The However, when a reducing flame (CO is used at 20 to 30% by volume) or when internal cooling / external cooling is performed with nitrogen (cases (b) to (e)), the streak is reduced. In cases (c) and (e), a film having a particularly small amount of oxide was obtained.
図11(a)〜(e)には、図10の各ケース(a)〜(e)で母材上に形成した溶射皮膜についてのX線回折測定結果を示している(横軸は回折角度2θ、縦軸は強度。測定器と測定条件は図6の試験において使用したものと同じ)。いずれのケースでも、明瞭なハローピークが観察されて結晶化度も小さく、大部分が非晶質化されていることが確認される。 11A to 11E show the X-ray diffraction measurement results for the thermal spray coating formed on the base material in each of the cases (a) to (e) in FIG. 10 (the horizontal axis represents the diffraction angle). 2θ, vertical axis is strength, measuring instrument and measurement conditions are the same as those used in the test of FIG. In either case, a clear halo peak is observed, the degree of crystallinity is small, and it is confirmed that most of the crystal is amorphous.
FIG. 12 shows the results of a corrosion resistance test on the sprayed coating (amorphous coating) formed on the base material in the case (c) of FIGS. 10 and 11. The surface of the film was not soaked with a sealing agent, and SUS316L stainless steel (a blasted bulk material) was used as a sample and continuously immersed in aqua regia (mixed solution of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid). While SUS316L was completely dissolved in about 6 hours, the progress of corrosion in the sprayed coating was extremely slow, and the degree of progress per day was only 1.2%.
また、図13には、上記と同様にして得た二種類の溶射皮膜(アモルファス溶射皮膜AおよびB)について行った耐熱試験の結果を示す。この試験では、それぞれの溶射皮膜を各温度の空気中で1時間保持したのち、結晶化度を測定した。発明の溶射方法により形成された溶射皮膜について安定した非晶質状態を維持するためには、300℃以下で使用することが好ましいといえる。 Moreover, in FIG. 13, the result of the heat test performed about two types of thermal spraying coatings (amorphous thermal spraying coating A and B) obtained by carrying out similarly to the above is shown. In this test, each thermal spray coating was held in air at each temperature for 1 hour, and the crystallinity was measured. In order to maintain a stable amorphous state with respect to the thermal spray coating formed by the thermal spraying method of the invention, it can be said that it is preferably used at 300 ° C. or lower.

In the above description, the thermal spraying of a high melting point (melting point 1500 ° C. or higher) Fe 70 Cr 10 P 13 C 7 alloy (including impurities up to 0.6% by weight) is shown. Even when an alloy or other alloys are sprayed, an amorphous metal film can be formed on the base material.
For example, Fe 81 B 13 Si 4 C 2 alloy, which is considered to have excellent magnetic properties, or an alloy of Fe (r1) -B (r2) -Si (r3) -C (r4) containing similar chemical components (However, ri is expressed in atomic%, 2 <r1 <85, 11 <r2 <16, 3 <r3 <12, 1 <r4 <72. Impurities are 0.6% by weight or less.) 1 can be used to form an amorphous film on the surface of the base material. The X-ray diffraction measurement results for the Fe 81 B 13 Si 4 C 2 alloy film actually formed by the experiment are shown in FIG. 14 and data relating to the formation of the film are shown in Table 3.

Means for forming the amorphous coating is not limited to the thermal spraying apparatus 1 used above. For example, the injection nozzle 10 (see FIG. 1) for external cooling can be set to a position and orientation of each nozzle other than those shown in the drawing, and is slightly expanded from a specific circle surrounding the main nozzle 5. It is also possible to spray water mist etc. radially with corners. In addition to acetylene, propane, carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H 2 ), or the like can be used as the fuel. Moreover, although the said thermal spraying apparatus 1 was comprised based on what is called a flame type spraying machine, it is also possible to comprise the thermal spraying apparatus 1 by a high-speed flame spraying, an arc type spraying machine, or a plasma type spraying machine. In the case of an arc sprayer, a part of the arc may be cooled, and in the case of a plasma sprayer, a part of the plasma jet may be cooled. As the thermal spray material, it is also possible to use a wire material or the like instead of the powder material (in this case also, it is preferable to set the particle size of the molten metal particles in the flame to an appropriate size as described above).
