Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles (hereinafter also simply referred to as “steel fabric”), and more particularly to a steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles used as a reinforcing material for rubber articles such as pneumatic tires and industrial belts. .
In a pneumatic tire that is a typical example of a rubber article, one of the factors that lowers the dimensional stability is a driving state of a reinforcing material such as a steel cord. As a method for driving such a reinforcing material, a method in which cords are unwound one by one from a reel and rubber is pressure-bonded in the vertical direction has been conventionally used.
However, when the conventional driving method is used, there is a problem that the gaps between adjacent reinforcing materials are not uniform. Also, in recent years, due to performance requirements such as handling stability of pneumatic tires, it has been required to realize a composite sheet (treat) of rubber and reinforcing material with higher rigidity. There is no restriction between the adjacent reinforcing members, and since they are integrated only by rubber, there is a limit to obtaining high rigidity.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a rubber article that is excellent in dimensional stability by stabilizing the driving property of a reinforcing material made of steel, and can achieve higher rigidity than the conventional rubber article. The object is to provide a steel fabric for reinforcing articles.
As a result of intensive studies, the present inventor has found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by forming a steel woven fabric having a plain weave structure using predetermined steel strands or steel cords as warp and weft, and to complete the present invention. It came.
That is, the steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention is a plain woven steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles in which warps and wefts are alternately woven, and the warps have a wire diameter of 0.15 to 0.38 mm. In this case, preferably, the warp is composed of two or more steel strands or steel cords.
Further, another steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention is a plain weave steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles in which warp yarns and weft yarns are alternately woven, wherein the warp yarn has a width of W and a thickness of T. And W / T ≧ 2 and 0.15 mm ≦ T ≦ 0.38 mm are satisfied, and the weft is composed of a steel wire having a wire diameter of 0.08 to 0.18 mm. It is characterized by this. In this case, preferably, the warp consists of two or more flat steel wires.
The steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles of the present invention preferably has gaps between the adjacent warp and weft.
The rubber article of the present invention is characterized in that the steel fabric for reinforcing a rubber article of the present invention is used as a rubber reinforcing material.
According to the steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles of the present invention, the above configuration makes it possible to improve the dimensional stability of the rubber article. Further, since the rigidity of the rubber article can be increased as compared with the conventional case, the steering stability of the tire can be improved by applying the steel fabric of the present invention to the tire.
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic plan view of a steel fabric for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention. As shown in the drawing, the
In the
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view (a-a cross section in FIG. 1) of the
The
In addition, it is more preferable to bundle two or more steel strands, steel cords, and flat steel wires used for the
Further, the
Moreover, as shown in FIG. 1, it is preferable that the
The
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically based on examples.
(Examples and Comparative Examples)
As a plain
(Conventional example 1)
As shown in FIG. 7 which is a cross-sectional view taken along line bb in FIGS. 6 and 6, steel cords having a 1 × 3 structure are arranged in parallel, and according to the conditions shown in Table 1 below, A reinforcement was produced.
The obtained reinforcing materials of Examples, Comparative Examples and Conventional Examples were embedded in rubber to produce composite sheets, and dimensional stability and rigidity were evaluated. The dimensional stability was evaluated by observing the warped thread in the composite sheet with X-rays. In addition, regarding the rigidity, when the composite sheet is bent in the in-plane direction and the out-of-plane direction with the conventional example 1 as a reference, the in-plane rigidity ratio with respect to the out-of-plane is larger than the conventional example 1 Was marked with ◯, and small when x. These results are also shown in Table 1 below.
As shown in Table 1 above, it was confirmed that each of the steel fabrics of each example was excellent in dimensional stability when used as a composite sheet, and improved in rigidity as compared with Conventional Example 1. On the other hand, the steel woven fabric of Comparative Example 1 has an out-of-plane rigidity because the wire diameter is too thick, resulting in inferior rigidity compared to Conventional Example 1, and Conventional Example 1 has no weft. The result was inferior in dimensional stability.
