Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle travel safety device.
Conventionally, for example, when driving on a continuous curve, driving characteristics are created based on the speed history at the beginning of the curve and the components of the curve, and speed control according to the driving characteristics when driving on a curve of the same shape. There is known a speed control device for performing (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
By the way, in the navigation system according to the above-described prior art, the speed history is only accumulated corresponding to the road position, and therefore, appropriate speed control using the speed history data is performed effectively on the untraveled curve. In order to improve the reliability of speed control, a problem arises that a large amount of speed history data corresponding to the road position is required.
Further, in the speed control device according to the above prior art, since it is assumed that the shapes of a plurality of curves constituting a continuous curve such as a tunnel are almost equal, curves having different shapes are continuous. In some cases, it may be difficult to perform appropriate speed control.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle travel safety device capable of performing appropriate speed control when traveling on a curve.

Hereinafter, a vehicle travel safety apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the vehicle

Further, the current
The map
For example, for the road data acquired from the map
In addition, the
The
The
For example, as shown in FIG. 2A, in the case of manual travel in which the speed is directly changed by the driving operation of the driver, the history speed (curve in the previous manual travel) is compared to the curve ahead in the traveling direction. History speed) is set as the target speed. When the vehicle speed is equal to or lower than the target speed according to the driving operation of the driver at the position before the curve entrance (for example, the curve passing speed A during the current manual travel shown in FIG. 2A). The intervention control is set not to be executed. On the other hand, if the speed of the vehicle is higher than the target speed at a position before the curve entrance, at least the speed of the vehicle (for example, speed B by intervention control shown in FIG. 2A) at the curve entrance is the target speed. Deceleration by intervention control is executed so as to be equal.
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 2B, at the time of cruise control in which the speed is changed so as to maintain the target vehicle speed input from the target vehicle
In addition, the
For example, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, two traveling roads γ and δ corresponding to the road data and two unknown traveling roads α and β for which no corresponding road data exists exist in front of the traveling direction of the host vehicle P. When the current position of the host vehicle P detected by the current
3 and 4, when the current position of the host vehicle P detected by the current
3 and 4, when the current position of the host vehicle P detected by the host vehicle
Furthermore, the
The
For example, the
Based on the curve shape value recognized by the
Here, the appropriate vehicle
In addition, since the lateral acceleration allowed for the vehicle when passing the curve changes depending on the road surface condition, the tire condition, the loading condition, etc., the appropriate speed may be set in consideration of these factors.
