Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a steering switch device that is mounted on a steering wheel of an automobile and used to operate various devices such as an automatic transmission.
Conventionally, a steering switch device is mounted inside the ring portion (annular portion) of a steering wheel of an automobile, and the driver manually operates the steering switch device, for example, manually shifting while driving in a drive range. A technology that allows up and down shifting is known.
As a conventional example of such a steering switch device, various signal output means such as a push switch and a slide switch are housed in a support member (housing) attached to a spoke part and a pad part of a steering wheel, and this support is provided. An electric signal is output from a desired signal output means by tilting an operation knob supported rotatably on the member or pressing an operation key arranged on the front surface of the support member. The thing is proposed (for example, refer patent document 1).
In such a conventional steering switch device, the operation knob used for the operation of the automatic transmission is disposed so as to protrude in the space between the ring portion and the pad portion of the steering wheel and can be tilted in the front-rear direction. Yes. As a result, the driver can operate the operation knob with the thumb or the like while holding the ring portion of the steering wheel, so that excellent operability can be expected. The operation knob is coupled to the upper portion of the rotating body, and the support knob fixed to the inside of the support member (housing) supports the rotating body so that the operation knob is attached to the support member. It is supported so that it can rotate and can be tilted. The rotating body is provided with an urging portion extending obliquely downward and a switching portion extending substantially directly below. A coil spring and a pressing element are incorporated in the urging portion, and the pressing element is always in elastic contact with the guide surface formed on the support body. Therefore, when the operation knob is tilted, the pressing element follows the guide surface. When the coil spring is compressed and the operation force is removed, the operation knob is automatically returned to the initial position (non-operation position) by the elastic repulsion force of the coil spring. In addition, a circuit board is installed inside the support member on the back side of the support, and a plurality of fixed contacts are formed on the circuit board. A slider that contacts and separates from each of these fixed contacts is provided on the slide member, and the switching portion of the rotating body is slidably engaged with the slide member. Therefore, when the operation knob is tilted, A slide switch mechanism driven by the switching unit is configured. That is, when the operation knob is tilted, the slide member slides on the circuit board via the switching portion, so that the contact position between the slider and the plurality of fixed contacts changes, and the electrical signal corresponding to the position change Is output. In addition, a convex portion is formed on the side wall of the support body, and the support body is positioned and fixed inside the support member by fitting the convex portion into a concave portion formed on the inner wall of the support member.
In the above-described conventional steering switch device, the rotating body integrated with the operation knob is pivotally supported by the bearing portion of the support body, but the switching portion of the rotating body that drives the slide switch mechanism during the tilting operation is the center of rotation. It protrudes on the opposite side of the operation knob. For this reason, there is a problem that the entire length of the oscillating body formed by coupling the operation knob and the rotating body becomes long, and it is difficult to reduce the size of the entire apparatus. In addition, it is difficult to integrally form the operation knob and the rotating body constituting the rocking body, and the support body having the bearing portion and the guide surface is formed integrally with the support member that is the housing. Therefore, such a conventional steering switch device has a problem that the number of parts increases. As a result, not only will the assembly work be complicated, but the mounting position of the operation knob with respect to the support member is likely to vary due to the accumulation of small errors, and multiple steering switch devices are distributed and mounted on the steering wheel. In such a case, there is a possibility that the design properties may be impaired due to variations in appearance.
The present invention has been made in view of the situation of the prior art as described above, and an object of the present invention is to make a relatively high-load rotational drive mechanism including an operation knob compact and having a small number of parts. It is an object of the present invention to provide a steering switch device that facilitates the overall miniaturization and the ease of assembly.
In order to achieve the above object, in the steering switch device of the present invention, a support member that is a combination of a front case and a rear case and is attached to a spoke portion of a steering wheel, and a support portion that is provided on the inner wall of the front case. An operation knob that is pivotally attached to the support member and is partially exposed to the outside of the support member, an elastic member held by the operation knob, a cam surface provided on an inner wall of the front case, and the elastic member A pressing element interposed between the circuit board, a circuit board held on the back case and having one side facing the operation knob, and disposed on the one side of the circuit board and driven by a tilting operation of the operation knob. A push switch mechanism, and when the operation knob is not operated, the presser is in elastic contact with the valley of the cam surface, and the presser is moved in accordance with a tilting operation of the operation knob. Configured to transition to the inclined surface of the cam surface disengaged from parts.
The steering switch device configured as described above uses the space behind the operation knob that is pushed in at the time of operation as the placement space of the push switch mechanism, so that the operation knob can directly drive the push switch mechanism. is there. In addition, the operation knob is pivotally attached to the front case of the support member, and the pressing member that is always urged by the elastic member held by the operation knob is brought into elastic contact with the cam surface provided on the inner wall of the front case. Therefore, the operation knob can be attached to the front case with high positional accuracy, and the pressing element can be easily brought into elastic contact with a predetermined position on the cam surface. In other words, the steering switch device can be configured with a relatively high-load rotary drive mechanism including an operation knob in a compact configuration with a small number of parts. Therefore, the assembly and accuracy of the rotary drive mechanism are improved, and the device It becomes easy to promote the overall miniaturization. In addition, since the position accuracy of the operation knob with respect to the support member is increased, there is no fear that the appearance and the operation feel will vary even when a plurality of steering switch devices are mounted on the steering wheel. In addition, since a click feeling is generated when the pressing element is detached from the valley of the cam surface, the operator can feel with his / her finger that the tilting operation with respect to the operation knob has been performed reliably. Further, when the operation force on the operation knob is removed, the elastic member pushes the pressing element back to the valley of the cam surface, so that the operation knob can be automatically returned to the initial position (non-operation position).
In the above configuration, the elastic member is a coil spring, and the operation knob is provided with a bottomed cylindrical holder portion having an opening end on the side facing the cam surface. When the pressing element is incorporated, the return means (the elastic member and the pressing element) for automatically returning the operation knob that has been tilted to the initial position can be integrated in a compact manner, which facilitates further miniaturization of the steering switch device. . Moreover, since the pressing element can be surely followed when the operation knob is tilted and the coil spring can be prevented from falling off, the reliability of the return means can be easily improved.
Further, in the above configuration, when the operation knob is not operated, the operation knob is biased in a direction opposite to the tilting operation direction by biasing the pressing element to a position shifted toward the inclined surface side within the valley of the cam surface. If it is locked to a part of the case, the non-operating operation knob can be stably held with a pretension in the direction opposite to the tilting operation direction. Also, the play is less likely to occur on the operation knob.
In the above configuration, the push switch mechanism disposed on one side of the circuit board has a fixed contact formed on the circuit board and a movable contact that can be moved toward and away from the fixed contact. If a part of the operation knob is pushed into the rubber switch to be elastically deformed during tilting operation, the tilting operation direction of the operation knob and the pressing drive direction with respect to the rubber switch are determined. It is possible to make them substantially coincide with each other, and the movable contact can be reliably brought into contact with the fixed contact during the tilting operation. Therefore, a highly reliable push switch mechanism can be easily realized with a simple configuration.
In the above configuration, the signal output means disposed on one side of the circuit board at a position separated from the push switch mechanism disposed on one side of the circuit board, and an operation member capable of driving the signal output means. Furthermore, when this operation member is exposed from the window portion of the front case, it becomes possible to input various switching signals by operating the operation member and the operation knob. Therefore, the steering switch device without increasing the number of built-in circuit boards Can be easily realized.
In the steering switch device of the present invention, the space on the back side of the operation knob is used as a space for arranging the push switch mechanism so that the operation knob can directly drive the push switch mechanism. In addition, the operation knob is pivotally attached to the front case of the support member, and the pressing member that is always urged by the elastic member held by the operation knob is elastically contacted with the cam surface of the front case. On the other hand, the operation knob can be attached with high positional accuracy, and it is easy to elastically contact the pressing element at a predetermined position on the cam surface. In other words, the steering switch device can be configured with a relatively high-load rotary drive mechanism including an operation knob in a compact configuration with a small number of parts. Therefore, the assembly and accuracy of the rotary drive mechanism are improved, and the device It becomes easy to promote overall miniaturization. In addition, since the position accuracy of the operation knob with respect to the support member is increased, there is no fear that the appearance and the operation feel will vary even when a plurality of steering switch devices are mounted on the steering wheel.

It is principal part sectional drawing which shows a guide surface.
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the holding structure when the
A fixed
Each

In this state (the state shown in FIG. 4), when the
Thereafter, when the operating force applied to the operating
Next, the operation of each
As described above, in the
In the
In addition, in this embodiment, the
Further, the push switch mechanism S1 for the
Further, in this
