Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a terrestrial digital broadcast, and more particularly to an in-vehicle digital broadcast receiver that receives a digital terrestrial broadcast in which programs having the same contents are simultaneously transmitted by hierarchical transmission using a weak hierarchy and a strong hierarchy.
In terrestrial digital broadcasting, hierarchical transmission in which a hierarchy including a relatively high-quality video signal and a hierarchy including a relatively low-quality video signal are multiplexed and transmitted is possible (see Non-Patent Document 1). Here, since a layer including a relatively high-quality video signal requires a high transmission rate, a modulation scheme such as multi-level QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) is used, and it is relatively vulnerable to interference in the transmission path. There are features. On the other hand, in a hierarchy including a video signal with relatively low image quality, since it can be transmitted at a low transmission rate, a modulation scheme such as QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is used, and it is relatively resistant to interference in the transmission path. There are features. In terrestrial digital broadcasting, the former is called the weak hierarchy and the latter is called the strong hierarchy.
Using this hierarchical transmission, a broadcast for a fixed receiver viewed at home or the like is transmitted on a weak hierarchy, and a broadcast for a portable receiver such as a mobile phone is transmitted on a strong hierarchy. In this broadcast, a broadcast for a fixed receiver transmitted by a weak layer and a broadcast for a portable receiver transmitted by a strong layer are simultaneous broadcasts that broadcast a program having the same content.
By the way, when terrestrial digital broadcasting is received by an in-vehicle digital broadcast receiving apparatus mounted on a moving body such as an automobile, the reception state of the broadcast radio wave varies from moment to moment due to a change in the surrounding environment through which the moving body passes. In this in-vehicle digital broadcast receiver, a receiving device that supports hierarchical transmission switches between receiving broadcasts transmitted by a weak layer and broadcasting transmitted by a strong layer according to the reception state, and when the reception state is good A broadcast transmitted in the weak hierarchy is received, and a broadcast transmitted in the strong hierarchy is received when the reception state is poor.
When terrestrial digital broadcasting is received by an in-vehicle digital broadcast receiving device mounted on a moving body such as an automobile, the reception state fluctuates dramatically. The hierarchical switching method described above has a problem in that frequent hierarchical switching occurs when the S / N ratio of the received digital terrestrial broadcasting signal fluctuates violently beyond two threshold widths having hysteresis. .
The present invention has been devised in view of the above problems, and its purpose is to simultaneously transmit a program having the same content by hierarchical transmission in a broadcast transmitted by a weak hierarchy and a broadcast transmitted by a strong hierarchy. In this case, an in-vehicle digital terrestrial broadcast receiving apparatus that receives broadcasts transmitted through weak layers as much as possible even while traveling and outputs programs that are easy to watch for viewers by reducing frequent layer switching is provided. There is to do.
In order to achieve the above object, a vehicle-mounted digital broadcast receiving apparatus for automatically receiving hierarchically transmitted terrestrial digital broadcasts according to the present invention selects a digital broadcast signal of a desired channel from broadcast radio waves. Channel selection means for performing demodulation processing and error correction processing on the digital broadcast signal selected by the channel selection means, and detecting the signal quality of the digital broadcast signal, and the transmission Demultiplexing means for demultiplexing the transport stream signal demodulated and error-corrected by the path demodulating means into at least one transport stream signal of a weak layer transport stream signal and a strong layer transport stream signal; The transport stream signal of the weak layer demultiplexed by the demultiplexing means Weak hierarchy decoding means for decoding into signals, strong hierarchy decoding means for decoding the transport stream signals of the strong hierarchy demultiplexed by the demultiplexing means into video signals of the strong hierarchy, and decoded by the weak hierarchy decoding means A switching means for selecting a video signal of at least one of the weak hierarchy video signal and the strong hierarchy video signal decoded by the strong hierarchy decoding means, and the transmission path demodulation means Control means for controlling the switching operation of the switching means according to the signal quality value, and the control means switches the video signal of the selected hierarchy by controlling the switching means according to the signal quality value. It is characterized by having a threshold value for controlling.
According to the present invention, when a program having the same content is transmitted by a hierarchical transmission and transmitted simultaneously by a broadcast transmitted by a weak hierarchy and a broadcast transmitted by a strong hierarchy, the broadcast transmitted by the weak hierarchy can be performed even while traveling. It is possible to provide a vehicle-mounted terrestrial digital broadcast receiving apparatus that outputs a video signal that is stable and easy to view for a viewer by receiving as much as possible and reducing frequent hierarchy switching.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an in-vehicle digital broadcast receiver according to a first embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is an antenna unit, 2 is a channel selection unit, 3 is a transmission path demodulation unit, 4 is a demultiplexing unit, and 5 is weak. A hierarchical decoding unit, 6 is a strong hierarchical decoding unit, 7 is a switching unit, 8 is a video display unit, 9 is a signal quality value, 10 is a control unit, and 11 is a switching signal.
In FIG. 1, an antenna unit 1 receives a broadcast radio wave and supplies it to a

The
Here, the weak layer and the strong layer are defined in the terrestrial digital broadcast operation regulations (ARIB TR-B14), and can transmit a relatively high-quality video signal. It is called a weak layer, and a video signal with a relatively low image quality can be transmitted. Here, it is assumed that programs having the same content are broadcast on the weak and strong layers.

Hereinafter, the operation of the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. When the video signal of the weak hierarchy is selected in the
Further, when a strong hierarchy video signal is selected in the
As described above, in the first embodiment of the present invention, since switching of the reception layer is determined using a plurality of continuous
In order to preferentially receive the video signal of the weak layer, the number of M or m may be increased and the number of N or n may be decreased. On the other hand, when it is desired to preferentially receive a video signal of a higher hierarchy, the number of M or m may be reduced and the number of N or n may be increased.
FIG. 4 is a timing chart showing the generation process of the switching
Hereinafter, the operation of the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. When a weak hierarchy video signal is selected in the
In addition, when a strong hierarchy video signal is selected in the
In the example of FIG. 4, five of the seven signal quality values acquired from time “t18” to “t24” are larger than the
As described above, in the second embodiment of the present invention, hierarchy switching with hysteresis by the

By configuring as described above, in the third embodiment of the present invention, by selecting the weak layer priority reception mode, it is possible to continuously receive the video signal of the weak layer even if the reception state is deteriorated. By selecting the layer priority reception mode, it is possible to receive a strong layer video signal stably and reliably. Further, by selecting the layer adaptive reception mode, it is possible to adaptively switch and receive the weak layer video signal and the strong layer video signal according to the change in the reception state.

By configuring as described above, in the fourth embodiment of the present invention, by selecting the fast switching mode, it becomes possible to switch the reception layer following the change of the reception state, and select the low speed switching mode. Thus, layer switching following the change in the reception state is not performed, but frequent switching of the reception layer can be reduced. Furthermore, by selecting the adaptive switching mode, it is possible to adaptively switch and receive the weak hierarchy video signal and the strong hierarchy video signal according to the change in the reception state.

By configuring as described above, in the fifth embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to continuously receive the video signal of the weak hierarchy as long as possible stably when the moving body has a small variation in the reception state. It becomes. In addition, when a mobile object with large fluctuations in the reception state is running, if the reception state deteriorates while receiving a weak layer video signal, the weak layer video signal must be strong before signal degradation such as block noise occurs. It is possible to switch to a hierarchical video signal for reception. Further, it is possible to continuously receive the video signal of the strong layer until the video signal of the weak layer is restored to a state where it can be sufficiently received.

FIG. 8 is a block diagram showing a specific example of the

With the configuration as described above, in the sixth embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to stably receive a video signal of a weak hierarchy for as long as possible while traveling in a place where the variation of the reception state is small. Also, if you are traveling in a place where the reception status fluctuates greatly, if the reception status deteriorates during reception of a weak-level video signal, the video of the strong level will appear before signal degradation such as block noise occurs in the weak-level video signal. It becomes possible to switch to the signal and receive. Further, when the reception state increases, it is possible to continuously receive the strong layer video signal until the weak layer video signal is restored to a sufficiently receivable state.
