Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an anticorrosion method for a brake caliper (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as “caliper”), a caliper with an anticorrosion layer, and an anticorrosion film.
The caliper is one of the components in the disc brake. By applying hydraulic pressure input from the master cylinder to the caliper piston, the brake pad and / or caliper is slid to press the brake pad against the disc rotor and generate friction as a brake.
The caliper body is a metal casting, and surface treatment for rust prevention and corrosion prevention is indispensable. For the surface treatment, chrome plating has been generally used so far, but other means are being sought because it is difficult to treat waste liquid without environmental burden.
Therefore, a technique for forming a resin film on the surface was examined. Patent Document 1 extracted for examination discloses a technique of a thermosetting anticorrosion tape.
Patent Document 2 discloses a technique for realizing corrosion prevention of a metal material with a resin film.
Furthermore, Patent Document 3 discloses a technique for applying and curing a thermosetting powder material such as polyester or epoxy. In some cases, a powder material is mixed with a metal (for example, zinc for cast iron) that is more easily rusted than a casting material that requires rust prevention and corrosion prevention. A thickness of about 35 μm or more is required.
Since the thermosetting anticorrosion tape disclosed in Patent Document 1 is impregnated with resin, it is difficult to form a uniform film thickness.
Further, the metal anticorrosion method disclosed in Patent Document 2 is unsuitable for surface treatment of calipers having a complicated shape.
The technique of applying and curing the thermosetting powder material disclosed in Patent Document 3 requires a masking process on a part that does not require powder coating, which is troublesome. In addition, powder coating is difficult to avoid the phenomenon of defects in the coating film (such as pinholes and unevenness in the coating film thickness on the corners (edges) of the object to be coated). is there.
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a technique replacing the chrome plating with respect to the anticorrosion surface treatment for the caliper.
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventor has found a corrosion prevention treatment technique using a resin film excellent in workability while avoiding the possibility of causing defects in the coating film, and completing the present invention. It came. That is, this invention provides the manufacturing method of a caliper anticorrosion layer, the caliper with an anticorrosion layer, and the film for anticorrosion.
The first invention of the present application relates to a caliper anticorrosion method.
That is, an anticorrosion layer is formed on the surface of the caliper component, the anticorrosion layer is formed including an anticorrosion film, and the anticorrosion film is fixed to the surface side of the caliper component. And
Here, the “caliper” refers to a caliper body used for a disc brake, and refers to a caliper body for a disc brake used for vehicles such as two-wheels and four-wheels (automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, etc.) and various rotational powers. Including. It is generally made of metal such as cast iron or aluminum alloy. Examples of the fixing method include a heat welding method, a heat curing method, and an ultraviolet curing method.
The second invention of the present application also relates to a caliper manufacturing method in which an anticorrosion layer is formed on the surface of a caliper component.
That is, the anticorrosion layer is characterized by including a coating layer by powder coating and a film layer by an anticorrosion film.
With “powder coating”, generally used powder coating technology is employed. Powder coating can employ either a fluid dipping method or an electrostatic coating method. The coating material used for powder coating is composed of a binder, a curing agent, a filler, and the like, but these materials are required to have a performance that provides corrosion resistance to caliper components or does not hinder corrosion resistance.
In the second invention, since the powder coating is applied, there is a possibility that a defective portion is generated as a surface treatment such as a pinhole phenomenon in the powder coating or a portion where the coating film becomes thin. However, a synthetic resin film layer with a uniform thickness and no pinholes is present on the paint layer or between the paint layer and the caliper surface. . Therefore, it is possible to provide a caliper excellent in rust and corrosion resistance.
In the first and second inventions, the anticorrosion film is (1) only a base film, (2) an adhesive layer formed on at least one side of the base film, and (3) a base material having releasability. What is necessary is just to select at least 1 sort from what formed the resin layer on top.
As the base film of the “corrosion-preventing film”, usable materials differ depending on the configuration. (1) When only the base film is used as the anticorrosion film, for example, polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin and the like can be mentioned. (2) In the case where an adhesive layer is formed on at least one side of the base film, for example, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, polyimide, polyamide, polyamideimide, polyetherimide, polyethersulfone, liquid crystal Examples thereof include polymers, polyphenylene sulfide, polyether ether ketone, polyolefin, polycarbonate, and triacetyl cellulose. (3) A base material having releasability means that the base material itself has releasability, for example, a release layer made of a fluororesin film, an OPP film or the like, or a fluororesin or a silicone resin on the base material. And the like provided.
The “adhesive layer” is a layer containing an adhesive that reliably adheres to the surface of a caliper component by heating or ultraviolet irradiation. For example, an adhesive layer mainly composed of an epoxy resin.
In addition, if the base film of the anticorrosion film is a material that adheres to the surface of the caliper component by applying heat, the base film also serves as an adhesive layer.
The thickness of the anticorrosion film is desirably 100 μm or less. When the thickness exceeds 100 μm, the size of the caliper may increase, and in that case, it becomes difficult to use for a small vehicle or the like. Further, when the caliper size is increased, the caliper mass is increased accordingly, and in the case of an automobile, for example, in the case of an automobile, it causes a decrease in traveling performance such as handling performance and wheel grounding performance due to increase in unsprung mass. This is an alternative to chrome plating for anticorrosive surface treatment of calipers.
For the first and second inventions, the anticorrosion film is previously processed into a three-dimensional shape that matches the surface shape of the part of the caliper, and the three-dimensional anticorrosion film is fixed to the surface of the part. It can also be made. In this way, it is possible to easily perform a surface treatment of a caliper portion having a complicated shape, for example, a cylindrical inner surface.
The three-dimensional shape anticorrosion film, when partially overlapping the border, bringing the anticorrosion film into contact with each other, and bringing the overlapped part closer to the thickness of the other part, More preferred. This is because the thickness of the layer for preventing rust and corrosion is made uniform.
The third invention of the present application relates to a caliper with an anticorrosion layer in which an anticorrosion layer is formed on the surface.
That is, the anticorrosion layer is formed including an anticorrosion film, and the anticorrosion film is formed on the surface side of a caliper component.
The fourth invention of the present application also relates to a caliper with an anticorrosion layer in which an anticorrosion layer is formed on the surface.
That is, the anticorrosion layer is characterized by including a coating layer by powder coating and a film layer by an anticorrosion film.
In 3rd and 4th invention, the anticorrosion film used by the above-mentioned 1st or 2nd invention can be used for the anticorrosion film.
It is desirable that the thickness of the anticorrosion layer is 100 μm or less. If the thickness of the anticorrosion layer is thicker than this, it is not preferable because it causes an increase in caliper size and an accompanying increase in mass. From the aspect of anticorrosion performance and caliper size, it is in the range of 80 to 5 μm, more preferably 60 to 15 μm.
A fifth invention of the present application relates to a caliper anticorrosion film that forms an anticorrosion layer on the surface of a caliper component.
That is, the anticorrosion layer is formed including an anticorrosion film, and has a three-dimensional shape that matches the surface shape of the portion of the caliper.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the caliper anticorrosion method, the caliper with an anticorrosion layer, and the film for anticorrosion were able to be provided as a technique which replaces chromium plating about the anticorrosion surface treatment with respect to a caliper.
Hereinafter, although the best form for implementing the caliper anticorrosion method and caliper with an anticorrosion layer concerning the present invention is explained concretely, the present invention is not limited to the following forms. Here, description will be made with reference to FIGS.
1 to 3 show a caliper to which the present embodiment is applied or a caliper that realizes the embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a plan sectional view, FIG. 2 is a perspective view, and FIG. 3 is a plan view.
As shown in FIG. 1, the disc brake includes a disc-like disc rotor 30, brake pads 20 and 21 for sandwiching the disc rotor 30 from both sides, and a caliper body (caliper body for containing the brake pads 20 and 21). ) 10. The caliper body 10 also includes a support fixing portion 10 for fixing to other members such as a shock absorber and a suspension member. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the caliper body 10 has an internal space for containing the brake pads 20 and 21 as a pad containing portion 19, and a piston 15 for sandwiching the brake pads 20 and 21 in the disc rotor 30. The piston accommodating part 14 to accommodate is provided. A piston caliper having the piston 15 on both sides of the disk rotor 30 is called an opposed caliper, and a piston caliper having only one side is called a cantilever caliper.
The caliper body 10 is a steel casting. If the surface is not subjected to rust / corrosion prevention, its life will be reached soon. Therefore, the anticorrosion layer is formed on the caliper body according to the embodiment shown below.
FIG. 4 shows the first embodiment, and shows a state in which an anticorrosion layer is formed on the surface of the caliper body 10.
The anticorrosion layer is formed including the
(1) Base film only
(2) a base film formed with an adhesive layer on at least one side;
(3) A resin layer formed on a substrate having releasability,
As the base film used in the above (1) and (2), a film-like product formed from a synthetic resin is used. Synthetic resins that form such films include, for example, polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene naphthalate, polyimide, polyamide, polyamideimide, polyetherimide, polyethersulfone, liquid crystal polymer, polyphenylene sulfide, polyetheretherketone. , Polyolefin, polycarbonate, triacetyl cellulose, acrylic, polyurethane and the like. In particular, when the above-described (1) is used as the
The base film may be a film formed from the above-mentioned synthetic resin, but in order to further reduce moisture permeability, a metal layer, for example, aluminum is deposited on the film surface, or a metal foil is laminated, A gas barrier resin such as ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin, polyester, fluorine resin, or thermoplastic nobornene resin is coated on the surface, or these resins are formed into a film, and the surface of the above-mentioned base film is applied. It may be laminated or contained in the film. Moreover, you may perform these processes combining 2 or more types.
The
Additives such as curing accelerators and fillers, leveling agents, flame retardants, silane coupling agents, titanate coupling agents, aluminum coupling agents and other coupling agents that are optionally contained are caliper bodies. It is necessary not to lower the anticorrosion performance with respect to 10.
The thickness of the anticorrosion film (the total thickness of the base film and the adhesive layer) is preferably 100 μm or less. This is to adjust the anticorrosion layer to a desired thickness, for example, 100 μm or less, preferably 80 to 5 μm, particularly preferably 60 to 15 μm. Further, when the thickness of the anticorrosion film exceeds 100 μm, it is difficult to follow the three-dimensional shape. The thickness of the anticorrosion film that is preferable from the viewpoint of the ability to follow the caliper surface and the anticorrosion performance is in the range of 80 to 5 μm, particularly preferably 60 to 15 μm.
The caliper body 10 can be formed by heating the base film 41 or the adhesive layer 42 using the
Further, the
FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment. This is an example in which a material that allows the adhesive layer 42 to be assimilated to the
Specifically, the base film 41 and the adhesive layer 42 are formed of the same material, for example, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or an epoxy resin. At that time, it is preferable that the base film 41 is firmer than the adhesive layer 42 in terms of handling properties. In this case, the above-mentioned film (3) can also be used as the anticorrosion film.
FIG. 6 shows an embodiment in which a so-called hybrid anticorrosion layer is formed by applying powder coating to the caliper body 10 and further protecting the powder-coated surface with an
In the powder coating 50, there is a risk that only about 60% of the thickness of other parts can be secured at the corners of the coating surface, or defects such as a pinhole phenomenon may occur. Moreover, in the site | part which the surface of the pad inclusion part 19 shown in FIG. 2 cross | intersects, a very thick coating film may be formed and it is difficult to obtain a uniform coating film. However, according to the present embodiment, even if such a defect occurs, it is possible to protect the defects with the
FIG. 7 shows an embodiment for dealing with a case where the caliper body 10 has a complicated shape. In order to simplify the description, the caliper body 10 is illustrated as having a concave surface that requires an anticorrosion layer.
The surface that requires the anticorrosion layer is only the concave surface in the caliper body 10, and the outer convex surface and the boundary surface between the convex surface and the concave surface (the masking surface 11 in the figure) do not require the anticorrosion layer.
A masking
As described above, it is possible to provide means corresponding to the case where the surface requiring anticorrosion has a complicated shape, and means for not forming the anticorrosion layer in a portion not requiring the anticorrosion layer.
FIG. 8 shows an embodiment of a synthetic resin film having a three-dimensional shape in advance in order to cope with a case where a surface requiring anticorrosion has a complicated shape.
That is, in order to make the
As a method of making the anticorrosion film into a three-dimensional shape, an accurate three-dimensional shape can be formed by using a mold such as a mold used for manufacturing a caliper body. In this case, all may be integrally formed, or a three-dimensional shape may be formed for each part such as the outside of the caliper body, the pad inner portion, the piston hole, or the like. In addition, when everything is integrally molded, a caliper body insertion port is provided in a three-dimensional anticorrosion film for installation in the caliper body, and the caliper body and anticorrosion film are integrated by inserting the caliper body from there. Let After inserting the caliper body, it is necessary to close the insertion port, but as a closing method, a method of pasting other anticorrosion films, a method using the anticorrosion film removed when the caliper insertion port is provided, or an integral molding Prepare two anticorrosion films, cut one molded body (first molded body) at an arbitrary location to create an insertion port, and cut the other molded body (second molded body) as described above The first molded body and the second molded body are overlapped and joined after the caliper body is inserted into the cut portion. At that time, as described above, the thickness of the overlapped portion may be adjusted.
Other methods include pre-heating the caliper body and placing an anti-corrosion film on the surface, using a vacuum device to attach the anti-corrosion film to the caliper body, and then heating or irradiating with ultraviolet light. The method of adhering is mentioned.
