評価
(1)傷の隠蔽性
小傷を有する車両の塗装面に、各実施例および各比較例の車両用艶出しコーティング剤を均一に塗布した。

試験例
70mm×150mm、厚さ1.5mmの磨き鋼板に、各実施例および各比較例で得られた車両用艶出しコーティング剤を、ロールコーター法により、樹脂固形分としての付着量が、厚さ10μmとなるように調整して、均一に塗布した。

(3)貯蔵安定性
各実施例および各比較例で得られた車両用艶出しコーティング剤80mLを、100mL容量のガラス瓶に入れ、窒素置換した後、密閉状態とし、50℃の雰囲気下、1月間放置(保存)し、車両用艶出しコーティング剤の「容器中での状態」、「硬化性」および「塗膜性能」の変化を評価した。

×:車両用艶出しコーティング剤の液体の状態が変化し、使用することができない。

実車試験例
実車として、平成10年式トヨタカローラバン白色塗装車、および、平成17年式トヨタマークIIブリッド黒色塗装車を用意した。

(5)艶出し性能の持続性
実車試験例における車両用艶出しコーティング剤の塗布から、1月毎に、中性カーシャンプーで、洗車用スポンジを用いて洗車した。そして、塗布後から、1月、3月、6月経過時における、洗車後のボンネットの硬化塗膜の艶の状態を目視により観察した。

(5) Persistence of polishing performance Cars were washed with a neutral car shampoo using a car wash sponge every month from the application of the vehicle polishing coating agent in the actual vehicle test example. ×:艶が観察されず、未塗布部分とほとんど差がない状態が観察された。
