オス(アサヒビール社製)3g、寒天5g、水1000mlからなる昆虫飼育培地を調製し、加熱後ゲルが固化する前に試験例1と同様にして検体を加えて1晩固化させた。プラスチックカップに前記昆虫飼育培地40gとキイロショウジョウバエ雌成虫20頭を入れ、通気性部材で蓋をして25℃条件下の明るい所に置いた。3日後に雌成虫を取り除き、14日後に次世代の成虫の発生数を調査しキイロショウジョウバエの発生率(%)求めた。試験は3回繰り返して行い、その平均を結果として表2に記載した。
