Claims (9)
- ハニカムセラミック基体の製造方法において、
可塑化セラミックバッチ材料を供給する工程、
断面がくさび形のフィルタワイヤを有するフィルタスクリーンを通して前記セラミックバッチ材料を濾過する工程、及び
ハニカムセラミック基体を形成するためにダイを通して前記濾過されたセラミックバッチ材料を押出す工程、
を有してなることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記濾過する工程において前記フィルタワイヤのそれぞれの頂点が前記押出す工程の間の前記バッチ材料の流れ方向に対向していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給する工程の前に耐摩耗層が前記フィルタスクリーン上に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記耐摩耗層が、ホウ化物、窒化物またはニッケルベースの被膜であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の方法。
- セラミックハニカム構造体を押出すための押出機において、
入力端及び出力端を有するバレル、
前記バレル内に回転可能なように取り付けられた少なくとも1本のスクリュー、
前記少なくとも1本のスクリューを回転させるための前記バレルの前記入力端にあるモーター、
前記バレルの前記出力端に取り付けられた押出ダイ、及び
バッチ材料を濾過するための前記押出ダイの上流に取り付けられたフィルタスクリーン、
を備え、
前記フィルタスクリーンが、断面がくさび形のフィルタワイヤを有する、
ことを特徴とする押出機。 - 複数本のチャネルを有するフィルタ支持体をさらに備え、前記複数本のチャネルは前記フィルタ支持体の第1の面に形成され、前記複数本のチャネルのそれぞれが前記それぞれのチャネル内に前記フィルタ支持体の第2の面まで貫通する複数の開口を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の押出機。
- 第2の複数本のワイヤに概ね垂直に取り付けられた第1の複数本のワイヤを有する、前記フィルタスクリーンに隣接し、前記フィルタスクリーンの下流にあるフィルタ支持体をさらに備え、前記第1の複数本のワイヤがくさび形であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の押出機。
- 前記フィルタスクリーンが耐摩耗層を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の押出機。
- 前記耐摩耗層が、ホウ化物、窒化物またはニッケルを含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の押出機。
