給紙ローラを含む画像形成装置に装着されるとともに、用紙が収納されるカセット本体と、前記カセット本体の上部に配置された蓋部材と、前記用紙を収納した際に、前記カセット本体の内側の少なくとも一方側面部に設けられ、前記用紙の側面を押圧する第1押圧部材とを備えた給紙カセットにおいて、
前記蓋部材とは別体で設けられるとともに、前記蓋部材の下面に取り付けられ、前記カセット本体に収納された前記用紙の上面の幅方向の中央部近傍を押圧する第2押圧部材とをさらに備え、
前記第2押圧部材は、
前記蓋部材の下面に取り付けられる平坦部と、
前記平坦部の下面のうちの端部以外の領域で前記平坦部と一体的に接合され、前記カセット本体の内底面に向かって斜め方向に延びるとともに、少なくとも前記平坦部との接合部分が弾性変形可能な傾斜部と、
前記傾斜部の先端部分に設けられた押圧部とを一体的に含み、
