Abstract
Description
The present invention provides first fuel injection means (in-cylinder injector) for injecting fuel into the cylinder and second fuel injection means (intake passage injection) for injecting fuel into the intake passage or intake port. In particular, the control apparatus for an internal combustion engine that can produce the required output even when the capacity of the fuel system for supplying fuel to the first fuel injection means is insufficient. Relates to the device.
A first fuel injection valve (in-cylinder injector) for injecting fuel into the engine combustion chamber, and a second fuel injection valve (intake path injection injector) for injecting fuel into the engine intake passage; The fuel injection from the second fuel injection valve (intake passage injection injector) is stopped when the engine load is lower than a predetermined set load, and the second fuel injection is performed when the engine load is higher than the set load. An internal combustion engine in which fuel is injected from a valve (intake passage injector) is known. In this internal combustion engine, a total injection amount, which is the sum of fuels injected from both fuel injection valves, is predetermined as a function of the engine load, and this total injection amount is increased as the engine load increases.
The first fuel injection valve (in-cylinder injector) is mounted so as to open directly into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and injects fuel pressurized by the fuel pump directly into the cylinder. The in-cylinder injector that directly injects fuel into the cylinder of the internal combustion engine injects fuel at the latter stage of the compression stroke to precisely control the mixture state of the air-fuel mixture in the cylinder, thereby improving fuel efficiency. I try to figure it out.
Such an in-cylinder injector may cause the following inconvenience particularly during the cold start of the internal combustion engine because the fuel is directly injected into the cylinder. When the internal combustion engine is started, the fuel pressure of the high-pressure fuel system that supplies fuel to the in-cylinder injector is often insufficiently increased by the high-pressure pump and does not reach the specified set pressure. This is because the high-pressure pump is driven by the driving force of the internal combustion engine. Without considering this point, when the fuel is supplied by the intake passage injector and the in-cylinder injector when the internal combustion engine is started, the high-pressure fuel immediately after cranking is supplied from the in-cylinder injector. In a state where the system pressure is extremely low, fuel with poor atomization (atomization) is injected.
Insufficient fuel atomization at the start of the internal combustion engine means that mixing with air is not performed efficiently when a certain amount of fuel is supplied, and the concentration of the combustible mixture near the spark plug is There is a case in which it is lowered and leads to an ignition failure, that is, a start failure. To compensate for this, increasing the fuel supply amount causes dilution of lubricating oil with fuel, generation of black smoke (particulate matter) due to local over-rich mixture and combustion of droplets, and exhaust gas emissions deteriorate ( In particular, HC and CO may increase.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-336439 (Patent Document 1) describes the relationship between the fuel injection amount into the cylinder and the fuel injection amount into the intake passage in consideration of the atomization state of the fuel injection into the cylinder when the engine is started. Disclosed is a fuel injection control device for an in-cylinder fuel injection engine that can appropriately set a share ratio and improve engine startability and exhaust gas emission. A fuel injection control device for an in-cylinder fuel injection engine disclosed in this publication includes an in-cylinder injector for injecting fuel into a cylinder, an in-cylinder injector for injecting fuel into an intake passage, An in-cylinder fuel injection control device for an in-cylinder fuel injection engine that supplies fuel by using both injectors together at the time of engine start, and for an in-cylinder injector for all required fuel injection amounts required at the time of engine start Sharing ratio setting means for variably setting the sharing ratio between the fuel injection amount by the fuel injection amount and the fuel injection amount by the in-cylinder injector with the fuel pressure of the high-pressure fuel system supplying fuel to the in-cylinder injector as a main parameter Is provided. More preferably, the fuel share ratio setting means uses, as a parameter, the temperature state in the fuel injection into the cylinder in addition to the fuel pressure of the high-pressure fuel system, and the fuel pressure of the high-pressure fuel system is low and the temperature state is on the low temperature side. The higher the share ratio of the fuel injection amount by the in-cylinder injector is, the more it is.
Both the in-cylinder injector (including the high-pressure fuel system) and the out-cylinder injector (including the low-pressure fuel system) provided in the engine disclosed in this publication can be injected from the pump characteristics. There is an upper limit on the amount of fuel. For this reason, as described above, even if an attempt is made to realize a preferable sharing rate at the time of engine start, such a preferable sharing rate cannot be realized if the upper limit is reached.
Further, even when the engine is not started, OT (Over Temperature) increase correction: increase in fuel injection amount to suppress overheating of the catalytic converter provided in the exhaust passage), cold increase correction (engine is cold) The fuel injected from the intake manifold injector is attached to the intake manifold and is not combusted in the combustion chamber. The fuel injection amount is increased, and even when the engine is cold, a good combustion state is achieved. If the fuel injection amount is increased for this purpose, or the fuel injection amount is increased to achieve the target air-fuel ratio because the intake air temperature is low and the air density is high), the fuel injection amount may be insufficient. Can occur.
However, even in such a case,
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and has as its object the first fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the cylinder and the second fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the intake passage. Control of the internal combustion engine that can avoid shortage of fuel injected from the fuel injection means without requiring excessive capacity in the high-pressure fuel system including the first fuel injection means Is to provide a device.
An internal combustion engine control apparatus according to a first aspect of the present invention includes an internal combustion engine having a first fuel injection means for injecting fuel into a cylinder and a second fuel injection means for injecting fuel into an intake passage. Control the engine. The control device is configured to inject fuel in a shared manner between the first fuel injection means and the second fuel injection means, including stopping of one fuel injection means, based on conditions required for the internal combustion engine. In addition, an injection control means for controlling the first fuel injection means and the second fuel injection means, an increase means for increasing the fuel to be injected according to the state of the internal combustion engine, and an increase means The required injection amount required for the first fuel injection means when increased is greater than or equal to the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection means determined based on the capability of the fuel supply system including the first fuel injection means And determining means for determining whether or not the required injection amount is greater than or equal to the maximum injection amount by the determining means, at least part of the required injection amount is fuel from the second fuel injection means. Control the injection control means so that the injection amount is the same. And a control means for.
According to the first invention, when the fuel injected by the increasing means is increased, the required injection amount of the first combustion injection means exceeds the maximum injection amount and is injected from the first fuel injection means. There may be a shortage of fuel. In order to prevent such a case from occurring, it is necessary to equip a high-performance high-pressure pump (pump for supplying fuel to the first fuel injection means), which increases the cost. However, an increase in cost occurs with respect to an increase in fuel that is executed at a low frequency. Even if the delivery capacity is increased, if the high-performance high-pressure pump is not provided, the fuel injected from the first fuel injection means will eventually be insufficient. In the present invention, when the fuel is increased and the fuel injected from the first fuel injection means is insufficient without providing a high-performance high-pressure pump, the required injection of the first fuel injection means is performed. At least a part of the amount is set as a fuel injection amount from the second fuel injection means. At this time, the increased amount or a part of the increased amount may be injected from the second fuel injection unit, or a part of the total required injection amount may be injected from the second fuel injection unit. . Accordingly, it is not necessary to equip a high-performance high-pressure pump to increase the fuel that is rarely executed, and the fuel required by the internal combustion engine can be supplied. That is, when the fuel required to be injected from the first fuel injection means increases and the capacity of the fuel supply system including the high-pressure pump becomes insufficient, the shortage is injected from the second fuel injection means. Thus, the required fuel can be supplied to the combustion chamber, and a desired output can be developed. As a result, in the internal combustion engine in which the injected fuel is shared by the first fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the cylinder and the second fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the intake passage, the high pressure including the first fuel injection means It is possible to provide a control device for an internal combustion engine that can avoid a shortage of fuel injected from the fuel injection means without requiring excessive capacity in the fuel system.
In the control device according to the second invention, in addition to the configuration of the first invention, the judging means determines whether or not the required injection amount is greater than or equal to the maximum injection amount based on the performance of the high pressure pump of the fuel supply system. Means for determining
According to the second aspect of the invention, the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection means is determined based on the performance of the high pressure pump that most affects the ability of the fuel supply system, and the required injection amount is equal to or greater than the maximum injection amount. It is possible to accurately determine whether or not.
In the control device according to the third aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the first aspect of the invention, the determination means determines whether the required injection amount is greater than or equal to the maximum injection amount based on the dynamic performance of the high pressure pump of the fuel supply system. Means for determining whether or not.
According to the third aspect of the invention, the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection means is determined based on the dynamic performance including individual differences and changes over time of the high-pressure pump that most affects the ability of the fuel supply system. For this reason, it is possible to more accurately determine whether or not the required injection amount is equal to or greater than the maximum injection amount.
In the control device according to the fourth invention, in addition to the configuration of the third invention, the dynamic performance is caused by at least one of an individual difference of the high-pressure pump and a change with time.
According to the fourth invention, since at least one of the individual difference of the high-pressure pump and the change with time is taken into account, the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection means can be accurately determined.
In the control device according to the fifth invention, in addition to the configuration of the third invention, when the maximum injection amount detects the discharge amount of the high-pressure pump, and the detected discharge amount is the maximum performance of the high-pressure pump. Is the injection amount of the first fuel injection means calculated.
According to the fifth invention, since the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection means is calculated in correspondence with the detected maximum performance of the high pressure pump, the first difference is considered in consideration of individual differences of the high pressure pump and changes over time. The maximum injection amount of the fuel injection means can be accurately determined.
In the control device according to the sixth aspect of the invention, in addition to the configuration of the third aspect of the invention, the maximum injection amount is detected by detecting the discharge amount of the high-pressure pump and the pressure of the fuel in the fuel supply system. It is the injection amount of the first fuel injection means, which is the maximum performance of the high-pressure pump and is calculated when the detected fuel pressure does not tend to increase.
According to the sixth invention, when the target fuel pressure in the fuel supply system rises, the detected discharge amount may reach the maximum performance of the high-pressure pump in a transient manner. In this case, since the required injection amount of the first fuel injection unit can be satisfied, the maximum injection amount can be calculated except for this case, and the maximum injection amount of the first fuel injection unit can be accurately determined. Can be determined.
In the control device according to the seventh invention, in addition to the configuration of any one of the first to sixth inventions, when at least a part of the required injection amount is made the fuel injection amount from the second fuel injection device by the control device In addition, when the injection amount from the second fuel injection means becomes equal to or less than the minimum injection amount of the second fuel injection means, there is further provided a setting means for setting the injection amount from the second fuel injection means to the minimum injection amount. Including.
According to the seventh invention, when the injection amount of the second fuel injection means that complements the shortage of the first fuel injection means is equal to or less than the minimum injection amount, the injection quantity of the second fuel injection means is set to the minimum injection amount. The fuel is injected in a region where the control signal and the injection amount are linear with the amount increased. For this reason, it is possible to accurately inject fuel from the second fuel injection means (in this case, the injection amount of the first fuel injection means is reduced).
In the control device according to the eighth invention, in addition to the configuration of any one of the first to seventh inventions, the first fuel injection means is an in-cylinder injector, and the second fuel injection means is The intake passage injection injector.
According to an eighth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an internal combustion engine in which an in-cylinder injector that is a first fuel injection means and an intake passage injection injector that is a second fuel injection means are separately provided to share injected fuel. It is possible to avoid a shortage of fuel injected from the injector without requiring excessive capacity for the high-pressure fuel system including the injector for internal injection.

For this reason, it is not necessary to make the high-pressure fuel pump have excessive performance. In particular, since such an increase correction is rarely performed, it is not necessary to provide a high-performance high-pressure fuel pump for the increase correction with few opportunities.

In step (hereinafter step is abbreviated as S) 100,

In S120,

In S140,

An operation of the control device according to the present embodiment based on the above-described structure and flowchart will be described. In the following description, the performance of the high-
For example, the increase correction is executed when fuel is injected only by the in-
For this reason, the shortage of fuel injected from in-
When supplemented PFI final injection amount eqinjp is smaller than minimum PFI injection amount QINJPMIN, which is the minimum injection amount of intake passage injector 120 (YES in S130), the fuel injection amount from intake
On the other hand, when the supplemented PFI final injection amount eqinjp is not smaller than the minimum PFI injection amount QINJPMIN, which is the minimum injection amount of the intake manifold injector 120 (NO in S130), the PFI final injection amount eqinjp is calculated in S120. Value.
Since the PFI final injection amount eqinjp is determined, the DI final injection amount eqinjd, which is the determined value of the fuel injection amount from the in-
As described above, according to the engine ECU that is the control device according to the present embodiment, it is not necessary to equip a high-performance high-pressure fuel pump for the fuel increase correction that is rarely executed. When the fuel injected from the in-cylinder injector increases and the capacity of the high-pressure fuel pump is insufficient, the required fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber by injecting the shortage from the intake manifold injector. And a desired engine output can be developed.

In S200,
In S210,

In S240,
In S250,

In S300,

<Engine suitable for application of this control apparatus (part 1)>
Hereinafter, an engine (part 1) suitable for application of the control device according to the present embodiment will be described.
Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, the injection ratio of in-
As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, these maps show the engine rotation speed on the horizontal axis, the load factor on the vertical axis, and the share ratio of the in-
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the DI ratio r is set for each operation region determined by the engine speed and the load factor. “DI ratio r = 100%” means a region where fuel injection is performed only from in-
Further, as shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the DI share ratio r of the in-
すなわち、NE(1)<NE(3)である。 The engine speed and load factor set in FIGS. 5 and 6 will be described. In FIG. 5, NE (1) is set to 2500 to 2700 rpm, KL (1) is set to 30 to 50%, and KL (2) is set to 60 to 90%. Further, NE (3) in FIG. 6 is set to 2900-3100 rpm. That is, NE (1) <NE (3). In addition, NE (2) in FIG. 5 and KL (3) and KL (4) in FIG. 6 are also set as appropriate.
When FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 are compared, NE (3) of the map for cold shown in FIG. 6 is higher than NE (1) of the map for warm shown in FIG. This indicates that the lower the engine temperature, the larger the control range of the
Comparing FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, in the region where the engine speed is NE (1) or higher in the warm map and in the region of NE (3) or higher in the cold map, “DI ratio r = 100% ". Further, the load factor is “DI ratio r = 100%” in the region of KL (2) or higher in the warm map and in the region of KL (4) or higher in the cold map. This indicates that only the in-
In the warm map shown in FIG. 5, only the in-
Comparing FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the region of “DI ratio r = 0%” exists only in the cold map of FIG. 6. This indicates that when the engine temperature is low, only the

<Engine suitable for application of this control device (part 2)>
Hereinafter, an engine (part 2) suitable for application of the control device according to the present embodiment will be described. In the following description of the engine (part 2), the same description as the engine (part 1) will not be repeated here.
With reference to FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, a map representing an injection ratio of in-
7 and 8 differ from FIGS. 5 and 6 in the following points. The engine speed is “DI ratio r = 100%” in the region of NE (1) or more in the warm map and in the region of NE (3) or more in the cold map. In the region where the load factor is KL (2) or higher excluding the low rotational speed region in the warm map, and in the region where KL (4) is higher than the low rotational speed region in the cold map, “DI” Ratio r = 100% ”. This is because only the in-
In the engine described with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8, the homogeneous combustion is performed by setting the fuel injection timing of the in-
Further, the stratified combustion here includes both stratified combustion and weakly stratified combustion described below. In the weak stratified combustion, the
In the engine described with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8, the fuel injection timing by the in-
By setting the fuel injection timing from the in-
