Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a piezoelectric vibrator using a piezoelectric element and a piezoelectric vibration generating apparatus including the same.
Piezoelectric elements have the feature of generating volumetric strain by voltage, and actuators that take advantage of this feature have been put into practical use in many fields. There are various types of piezoelectric actuators, and a bimorph type piezoelectric actuator can be given as a structure capable of obtaining a large displacement with a relatively low voltage.
As shown in FIGS. 20A and 20B, the bimorph type piezoelectric actuator constitutes a piezoelectric diaphragm in which the

Incidentally, in recent years, touch panels have been introduced as input devices used for electronic devices. The touch panel is for inputting information by the user pressing the information display position on the operation screen with a finger or a pen, but has a problem that a switch feeling at the time of input cannot be obtained.
Therefore, in recent touch panels, a buzzer sound is activated at the time of information input operation, or the display color of the screen switch is changed to give the user a switch feeling. However, it is insufficient compared with the reaction force obtained with an actual switch, and as a method for improving this, there is a method of ensuring a switch feeling by generating a low frequency vibration of several hundred Hz on the panel surface.
As a principle for generating vibration, a method using electromagnetism is generally used, but one that obtains vibration using a piezoelectric principle is known. The vibration generation method using the piezoelectric principle includes a method using the above-described cantilever type piezoelectric actuator (see

However, since the

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a piezoelectric vibrator capable of obtaining a desired vibration displacement and vibration force without increasing the element size, and a piezoelectric vibration generator including the piezoelectric vibrator. .
In solving the above problems, the piezoelectric vibrator of the present invention includes a base part, a piezoelectric diaphragm, a support part disposed between one end side and the other end side of the piezoelectric diaphragm and the base part, And a vibrating weight attached to at least one end side of the piezoelectric diaphragm and outside the support portion.
The piezoelectric vibrator according to the present invention has a configuration in which vibration weights are attached to one end or both ends of a piezoelectric diaphragm supported at two points on a base portion. The vibrating weight vibrates with the bending displacement of the piezoelectric diaphragm. When the piezoelectric diaphragm is driven in accordance with the natural frequency of the vibration weight, the vibration weight resonates.
Inertial force generated by resonance of the vibration weight is transmitted to the base portion via the support portion. At this time, by setting the resonance point of the vibrating weight to, for example, the tactile vibration frequency of the touch panel and fixing the base portion to the touch panel, the touch panel can be vibrated with a desired tactile vibration at the time of weight resonance.
Further, the vibration displacement of the central portion of the piezoelectric diaphragm is enlarged by the resonance of the vibration weight. At this time, by setting the resonance point of the vibration weight to, for example, the tactile vibration frequency of the touch panel and connecting the central portion of the piezoelectric diaphragm to the touch panel, the touch panel can be vibrated with a desired tactile vibration at the time of weight resonance.
In the piezoelectric vibrator according to the present invention, desired vibration displacement and vibration force can be obtained without increasing the element size by utilizing the resonance of the vibration weight described above, thereby reducing the size of the vibrator. In addition, the manufacturing cost of the vibrator can be reduced and the power consumption can be reduced.
The piezoelectric diaphragm can be configured to include an elastic plate material and a piezoelectric element attached to at least one surface of the elastic plate material. The form in which the piezoelectric element is attached to one side of the elastic plate material corresponds to a monomorph type piezoelectric vibration plate, and the form in which the piezoelectric element is attached to both sides of the elastic plate material corresponds to a bimorph type piezoelectric vibration plate. The vibration weight is not limited to being attached to both ends of the piezoelectric diaphragm, and may be configured to be attached only to one end of the piezoelectric diaphragm. In addition, when vibration weights are attached to both ends of the piezoelectric diaphragm, the vibration characteristics of each vibration weight are not limited to the same, and multiple weight resonance points can be provided by making the weight, shape, etc. different from each other. It is.
The resonance point of the vibration weight is determined by the natural frequency of the vibration system including the vibration weight. This vibration system is configured outside the support portion of the piezoelectric diaphragm, and is independent of the vibration characteristics of the piezoelectric element located inside the support portion. Therefore, since the resonance frequency of the weight can be set only by the vibration characteristic of the vibration weight, a desired tactile vibration can be set appropriately and easily.
In addition, the one end side and the other end side of the piezoelectric diaphragm on which the support portion is disposed include not only the one end portion and the other end portion of the piezoelectric element but also the outer side than the one end portion and the other end portion of the piezoelectric element, The center side of the piezoelectric element is also included. That is, the position of the support part is not particularly limited, and means the support position of each piezoelectric diaphragm supported substantially at two points. Moreover, the case where each support part is comprised by several points is also included.
In the frequency band exceeding the resonance point of the vibration weight, the vibration displacement of the vibration weight decreases. The natural frequency of the piezoelectric element is preferably set higher than the natural frequency of the vibrating weight. Thereby, the influence of the vibration of the vibration weight can be reduced and the piezoelectric element can be resonated. Further, by connecting the vibration target object to the maximum displacement point of the piezoelectric element, the vibration target object can be efficiently vibrated by the resonance of the piezoelectric element. For example, a buzzer sound, voice, or music can be generated by connecting an acoustic diaphragm as a vibration target to a piezoelectric element.
The piezoelectric generator including the piezoelectric vibrator configured as described above includes a control unit that controls the vibration frequency of the piezoelectric diaphragm constituting the piezoelectric vibrator. At least a first vibration mode for vibrating at a vibration frequency of the first vibration mode and a second vibration mode for vibrating the piezoelectric diaphragm at a second vibration frequency higher than the first vibration frequency. In the mode, the base portion is vibrated by an inertial force generated by exciting the vibration weight, and in the second vibration mode, the vibration target is vibrated by the bending vibration of the piezoelectric diaphragm. The base unit is, for example, a touch panel or is integrally fixed to the touch panel, and the vibration target can be, for example, an acoustic diaphragm.
The first vibration frequency is set according to the natural frequency of the vibration weight, and the second vibration frequency is set according to the natural frequency of the piezoelectric diaphragm. For example, when the vibration weight is attached to both ends of the piezoelectric vibration plate and each vibration weight has different vibration characteristics, there are a plurality of vibration modes for resonating the vibration weight. The unit selects a desired vibration mode and drives the piezoelectric vibrator.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a desired vibration displacement and vibration force without increasing the element size, and to reduce the size, power consumption, and manufacturing cost of the vibrator. be able to.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a side sectional view showing a schematic configuration of a
The
The
A vibrating
The
The
On the other hand, an acoustic diaphragm 7 as an object to be vibrated is connected to the central portion of the
The control unit 9 is for applying a predetermined voltage to the
In the first vibration mode, as shown in FIG. 2A, the
Further, in the second vibration mode, as shown in FIG. 2B, the acoustic diaphragm 7 is vibrated by bending and vibrating the
In the
Therefore, when the driving frequency of the
It is said that the vibration frequency band suitable as tactile vibration is about 100 to 500 Hz, and actually provides an isolated waveform (the number of times is arbitrary) such as a sine wave or a rectangular wave. Therefore, the natural vibration frequency of the vibration system including the
FIG. 3 shows an analysis example for the natural vibration body of the vibration system. For example, when a metal material equivalent to 42 alloy is used as the
加振力F=2×α×M [N] …(1)

On the other hand, when the signal frequency applied to the piezoelectric vibrating
Further, when the signal frequency applied to the piezoelectric vibrating
For example, in a micro speaker used for a portable device or the like, it is preferable to ensure sound pressure in a band of about 800 Hz or higher. In this embodiment, since the acoustic diaphragm 7 is vibrated by the bending displacement of the
The acoustic diaphragm 7 is preferably made of a material having a high specific rigidity (elastic modulus / density) and appropriate attenuation, as in the design of a general acoustic diaphragm. Further, when the shape of the acoustic diaphragm 7 is a simple plane, in-plane resonance may be induced and split resonance may be caused to degrade sound quality. It is desirable that the shape be such that In order to satisfy these requirements, the acoustic diaphragm 7 is generally manufactured by thermoforming a resin film. As the resin material, various resin films such as polypropylene, polyetherimide and polyester can be used.
Next, an example of a simulation analysis result for a model assuming an actual shape is shown. FIG. 4 is a side view of the vibrator. The length of the
FIG. 5 and FIG. 6 show the frequency response analysis results when the
5A is at 200 Hz, and FIG. 5B is at 400 Hz. In this model, there is a primary resonance of the weight vibration system near 400 Hz, and the amplitude amounts of the
FIG. 7 shows changes with respect to the frequency of the displacement of the vibration weight (weight portion) and the displacement of the central portion of the piezoelectric element in this model. In FIG. 7, the horizontal axis indicates the frequency (logarithmic scale), and the vertical axis indicates the half amplitude (upper amplitude or lower amplitude) at the center of the weight portion and the piezoelectric element. From FIG. 7, the displacement of the weight portion becomes a maximum near the resonance point of 400 Hz. On the other hand, it can be seen that the amplitude of the displacement at the center of the piezoelectric element increases with increasing frequency at a frequency higher than the resonance point of the weight portion. Incidentally, the resonance frequency at the center of the piezoelectric element was 2694 Hz. In addition, the amplitude measurement of the element was not performed in the range of 400 Hz to 800 Hz.
From the above results, it was confirmed that the desired vibration mode can be obtained by making the resonance point f0 of the weight part different from the resonance point f1 in the center of the piezoelectric element and satisfying the condition of f0 <f1. . However, in this model, since the resonance point f1 in the center of the piezoelectric element is high, it is necessary to lower it to the target resonance point (for example, 1000 Hz or less).
As an example, FIGS. 8 and 9 show analysis results when the length of the
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the generation of inertia force using the resonance vibration of the
In addition, according to the present embodiment, the
Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, the tactile vibration is generated by utilizing the resonance of the vibration system including the
(Second Embodiment)
FIG. 10 shows a second embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, the same reference numerals are given to portions corresponding to those of the first embodiment.
In the first embodiment described above, the inertial force generated by the resonance vibration of the
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10A, the
As in the first embodiment described above, the
The masses of the vibrating
FIG. 4C shows a state when the vibrating
Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the amount of displacement generated in the central portion of the
Next, the effect of resonance of the vibrating
FIG. 12 shows the element drive frequency (continuous wave) and the piezoelectric vibrator 24 (solid line) having the configuration shown in FIG. 11 and the conventional two-point support type piezoelectric bimorph (one-dot chain line) having no vibrating weight. The relationship with the amount of displacement (single amplitude) at the center of the element is shown. As is apparent from FIG. 12, in the piezoelectric vibrator having the vibrating weight, the displacement amount of the central portion of the piezoelectric element is large in the vicinity of the weight resonance frequency (124 Hz), which is 2 as compared with the piezoelectric vibrator having no vibrating weight. About twice as much displacement can be obtained.
Further, FIG. 13 shows the results when burst waves are input to these piezoelectric vibrators. The number of bursts is four. 14A and 14B show signal / vibration waveforms when a 124 Hz burst wave is input. FIG. 14A shows a signal / vibration waveform of a piezoelectric vibrator having a vibrating weight, and FIG. 14B shows a piezoelectric vibrator without a vibrating weight. From FIG. 13 and FIG. 14, it can be seen that even when a burst wave is input, the vibration amplitude is larger at frequencies near the weight resonance than when no weight is present.
As described above, according to the

As mentioned above, although each embodiment of this invention was described, of course, this invention is not limited to these, A various deformation | transformation is possible based on the technical idea of this invention.

19C shows an example in which the lengths of the neck portions S1 and S2 that support the vibrating
And the
In addition to the above, for example, a plurality of vibration weights are arranged in parallel at one end of the piezoelectric diaphragm, and a plurality of vibration modes necessary for resonance of the vibration weight are set, and a desired tactile vibration is selected.
