Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a refractory material, and in particular, to a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container excellent in corrosion resistance and spalling resistance.
In recent years, in order to reduce the blowing load in the converter and make it easier to make the molten steel a desired composition when oxygen is blown into the molten iron in the converter, in order to make the molten steel have a desired composition, silicon, A so-called “hot metal pretreatment” for removing phosphorus, sulfur and the like is in widespread use. That is, while the hot metal discharged from the blast furnace is still present in the hot metal, decanted iron, torpedo car or hot metal ladle, lime-based flux, oxidizing agent and / or soda ash-based flux as a refining agent in the hot metal. Are blown using nitrogen as a carrier gas, and the constituent elements are transferred to a slag located on the hot metal to be removed.
Here, in the "hot metal pretreatment" of torpedo cars and hot metal ladle, oxygen and Si in hot metal are reacted by blowing gaseous oxygen from the oxygen lance onto the hot metal surface while blowing nitrogen gas into the hot metal with a lance pipe and stirring. The desiliconization process is carried out.
In this case, in a silicon removal treatment container such as a torpedo car or hot metal ladle, gaseous oxygen is blown, so the atmosphere inside the torpedo car or hot metal pan becomes an oxidizing atmosphere and at the same time oxygen reacts with the hot metal to generate heat and generate an extremely hot atmosphere. It becomes. Then, Si in the hot metal is oxidized and becomes SiO 2 and enters the slag, and the basicity of the slag decreases from around 1.2 to 1 or less.
By the way, in the refractory material currently used with the container for desiliconization processing like a torpedo car or a hot metal ladle, conventionally, it formed from the alumina-SiC-C (carbon) quality or the magnesia-C quality.
However, the alumina-SiC-C (carbon) refractory material is oxidized and SiC and C (carbon) in the refractory material are oxidized, and the structure becomes brittle and wear-damaged. As a result, there is a problem that the exposed alumina reacts with slag having a low basicity, lowers the melting point, and progresses in melting.
Further, in a magnesia-C refractory material, C (carbon) in the refractory material is oxidized in an oxidizing atmosphere, and the structure becomes brittle and wear-damaged. As a result, the exposed magnesia reacts with SiO2 in the low basicity slag, and the melting point is lowered to cause melting damage. And there exists a problem that melt | dissolution of a refractory material will be accelerated | stimulated by slag viscosity falling by melt | dissolution of this magnesia.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such problems existing in the prior art, and provides a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container that has good corrosion resistance and spalling resistance and has a long service life. is there.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes 92 to 30% by mass of alumina, 5 to 50% by mass of chromia, and 10% by mass or less of zirconia, and the total amount of alumina, chromia and zirconia is 90% by mass. The gist of the present invention is a refractory material for a desiliconization vessel having the above composition. In addition, examples of the desiliconization treatment container of the present invention include a hot metal ladle for desiliconization treatment, a torpedo car (mixing car), and a dedicated reaction vessel.
Here, chromia (Cr 2 O 3 ) is chemically extremely stable in an oxidizing atmosphere, does not produce a low melting point compound regardless of the slag basicity, and has little reaction with slag, so it has corrosion resistance. Is expensive.
Further, chromia has a higher melting point than that of alumina (Al 2 O 3 ), and is rich in corrosion resistance. Therefore, by adding chromia to alumina, the fire resistance of the entire refractory material is improved, and at the same time, the reactivity of alumina with respect to the slag component is suppressed, and the corrosion resistance is improved.
Alumina-chromia-zirconia has a slightly larger thermal expansion than alumina-SiC-C, but does not change much and has excellent spalling resistance. Accordingly, the corrosion resistance of the refractory material is greatly improved, the spalling resistance is at a level with no problem, and the durability is long.
By adding 10% by mass or less of zirconia, many fine cracks are generated between the particles to absorb thermal stress. Therefore, the heat spalling property is improved in the chemical component range of alumina, chromia and zirconia.
In particular, when the chromia component is increased, if the zirconia component is also increased, the spalling resistance can be improved as compared with the case where the zirconia component is not added.
Further, the present invention includes a desiliconization treatment container characterized in that the composition contains 92 to 30% by mass of alumina and 5 to 50% by mass of chromia, and the total amount of alumina and chromia is 90% by mass or more. The refractory material is the gist.
Alumina-chromia is slightly larger in thermal expansion than alumina-SiC-C, but does not change so much and has excellent spalling resistance. Accordingly, the corrosion resistance of the refractory material is greatly improved, the spalling resistance is at a level with no problem, and the durability is long.

When firing, the above-mentioned alumina, chromia, zirconia raw materials or alumina, chromia raw materials are mixed in the above ratio, an organic binder made of a thermosetting resin such as a phenol resin is added, kneaded, molded, dried, Heat treatment is performed by oxidation firing at a temperature range of 1400 to 1700 ° C.
Moreover, the refractory material for the desiliconization treatment container may be formed by non-firing.
In this case, the alumina, chromia, zirconia raw materials or alumina, chromia raw materials are mixed in the above ratio, an organic binder made of a thermosetting resin such as phenol resin is added, and after kneading and molding, the temperature range is 150. Dry at ~ 500 ° C.

Further, these refractory materials are preferably used as slag lines for desiliconization processing containers and refractory materials for freeboards.
According to the present invention, both the corrosion resistance and the spalling resistance are good, and there is an effect that the service life can be extended.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
The refractory material of the container for desiliconization treatment of the present invention is obtained by firing a raw material containing alumina, chromia, and zirconia as main components (or a raw material containing alumina and chromia as main components) and a binder, or Based on bricks obtained by non-firing.
In the present invention, sufficient corrosion resistance can be imparted by using a material mainly composed of alumina, chromia and zirconia as the refractory aggregate of the refractory material for the desiliconization treatment container. For that purpose, it contains 92 to 30% by mass of alumina, 5 to 50% by mass of chromia (Cr 2 O 3 ), 10% by mass or less of zirconia, and the total amount of the three is 90% by mass or more. The refractory material preferably has a composition. When the total amount of the three components is 90% by mass or more, both good corrosion resistance and spalling resistance properties can be obtained at the same time.
When alumina is less than 30% by mass, it becomes difficult to impart spalling resistance, and when it exceeds 92% by mass, no improvement in corrosion resistance is observed.
When chromia is less than 5% by mass, the corrosion resistance deteriorates, and when it exceeds 50% by mass, the corrosion resistance is not improved and the spalling resistance is deteriorated.
Further, by containing zirconia (ZrO 2 ), many fine cracks are generated between the particles and the thermal stress is absorbed. Therefore, heat spalling property is improved in the chemical component range of alumina, chromia and zirconia.
In addition, sufficient corrosion resistance can be imparted even if alumina or chromia is the main component as the refractory aggregate of the refractory material. For that purpose, it is preferable that the composition contains 92 to 30% by mass of alumina and 5 to 30% by mass of chromia, and the total amount of both is 90% by mass or more. When the total amount of both is 90% by mass or more, both corrosion resistance and spalling resistance properties can be obtained simultaneously.
Even when alumina and chromia are the main components, it is difficult to impart spalling resistance if the alumina content is less than 30% by mass, and if it exceeds 92% by mass, no improvement in corrosion resistance is observed.
Even when alumina or chromia is used as a main component, the corrosion resistance deteriorates if chromia is less than 5% by mass, and if it exceeds 50% by mass, the corrosion resistance is not improved and the spalling resistance is deteriorated.

In addition, each said raw material adjusts a particle size similarly to manufacture of a normal refractory brick, and mix | blends the mixture ratio of a coarse grain, an intermediate grain, and a fine powder appropriately. An appropriate amount of an organic binder or water is added to the mixture and the mixture is kneaded with a mixer, and then molded into a desired shape such as a block by press molding with a mold. The molded product thus obtained is dried at 80 to 100 ° C. for 1 to 2 days and then fired at 1500 to 1700 ° C. for 5 to 10 hours to obtain a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container.
In addition, you may obtain refractory materials of desired shapes, such as a block (casting block), by casting instead of the said press molding.
Moreover, when manufacturing the refractory material of the container for desiliconization processing by non-baking, it carries out as follows.
A raw material of alumina, chromia, and zirconia (or a raw material of chromia and alumina) is blended in the above-described predetermined ratio to obtain a mixture. In addition, each said raw material adjusts a particle size similarly to manufacture of a normal refractory brick, and mix | blends the mixture ratio of a coarse grain, an intermediate grain, and a fine powder appropriately. An appropriate amount of an organic binder or water is added to the mixture and the mixture is kneaded with a mixer, and then molded into a plate shape by press molding using a mold. The pressing pressure at the time of molding is 500 to 1000 kgf / cm 2 . The molded product thus obtained is dried at 80 to 100 ° C. for 1 to 2 days, and then dried at 150 to 500 ° C. to obtain a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container.
Even in the case of non-firing, a refractory material having a desired shape such as a block (a casting molding block) may be obtained by casting instead of the press molding.
(test)
Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6 will be described below.
Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6 were blended in the proportions described in Table 1 or below, kneaded with a mixer, and 116 × 60 × 65 (mm) cross-section isosceles trapezoid shape with an oil press Then, after drying at 100 ° C. for 24 hours and baking at 1500 ° C. for 5 hours, a test sample for the test described later was prepared. Table 1 shows the evaluation of these test samples.
In Table 1, the others are SiO 2 , MgO, Fe 2 O 3 , TiO 2 and the like.
(Erosion test and measurement of spalling resistance)
Then, eight of the test samples were combined and fixed so as to form octagonal columnar recesses on the eight rectangular surfaces on the upper bottom side, and a rotary erosion test was performed by constituting a test body having an octagonal columnar appearance. In addition, since the rotary erosion test apparatus is well-known, the outline of a rotary erosion test is demonstrated. That is, in a state in which the test body is laid down sideways, and the test body is rotated in a fixed direction by a rotating device around an axis perpendicular to the bottom surface, and pig iron is inserted into the recess of the test body. Rotating at 1600 ° C. for 50 hours using an oxygen burner. In this case, a mill scale was added every 10 hours, and this was repeated 5 times for a total of 50 hours. After the elapse of 50 hours, the test body was separated for each test sample, and the test sample was cut perpendicularly to the surface in contact with the pig iron. Next, the degree of erosion of the erosion part by the pig iron on the surface in contact with the pig iron was evaluated.
Corrosion resistance was evaluated as x, Δ, ○, and ◎.
X is when the amount of erosion is 9 mm or more, Δ is when the amount of erosion is 7 to 8 mm, ○ is when the amount of erosion is 4 to 5 mm, and ◎ is when the amount of erosion is 3 mm or less.
In general, when performing a table test, when the amount of erosion is 7 to 8 mm, the corrosion resistance is good, and the sample can be used in an actual furnace. In addition, it is evaluated that a sample having a melting loss of 9 mm or more has no corrosion resistance and is not suitable as a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container. Therefore, the samples that have been evaluated as Δ, ○, and ◎ are considered to have good corrosion resistance. In the evaluation of corrosion resistance in Table 1, for the convenience of explanation, the good evaluations are ranked with Δ, ○, ◎, and the better the ranking is from left to right in this order.
On the other hand, evaluation of spalling resistance evaluated visually the state of the crack of the said test sample. Evaluation of spalling resistance was made into x, (triangle | delta), (circle), and (double-circle).
X is when there are two or more cracks, Δ is when there is one crack, ○ is when there is a microcrack, and ◎ is when there is no crack. In general, when a table test is performed, if there is a sample with one crack, the spalling resistance is good, and the sample can be used as a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container. Further, it is evaluated that a sample having two or more cracks has no spalling resistance and is not suitable as a refractory material for a desiliconization treatment container. Therefore, the samples that have been evaluated as Δ, ○, and ◎ have good spalling resistance. In the evaluation of the spalling resistance in Table 1, for the convenience of explanation, the good evaluations are ranked with Δ, ○, ◎, and the better ranks increase from left to right in this order.
Comprehensive evaluation is x when the evaluation of at least one of corrosion resistance and spalling resistance is x, either is △ or ○, the other is △ or ○, and one is ◎ In the case where the other is ◯ or ◎, the case is ◎. In the comprehensive evaluation, ◯ and ◎ indicate that both corrosion resistance and spalling resistance are good.
As shown in Table 1, Examples 1 and 2 are examples that do not contain zirconia, but it can be seen that both 92% by mass of alumina and 5% by mass of chromia have good corrosion resistance and spalling resistance. In Examples 3 to 7, the mixing ratio of alumina is gradually reduced, and instead, the mixing ratio of chromia and zirconia is gradually increased. Also in these examples, it can be seen that the corrosion resistance and spalling resistance are both good.
(Durability test)
Next, the durability test will be described. In the durability test, the refractory material used for the 300 t hot metal ladle was used as a brick, and the conventional product (Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2) and the blending ratios shown in Examples 1 to 7 were used.
Then, the refractory material was lined on the hot metal ladle shown in FIG. 1, and the number of charges (CH) required to be replaced was tested. Here, the hot metal ladle will be described with reference to FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
After placing the refractory material on the inner peripheral surface of the hot metal ladle as described above, the additive is blown into the hot metal placed in the hot metal ladle for each case through the injection lance at the same time as the additive is blown. The silica was stirred with gas to perform desiliconization treatment, and the number of charges was measured.
As a result, in Comparative Example 1 (alumina-SiC-C non-fired brick) which is a conventional product, it was necessary to replace it with 200 to 250 CH. In Comparative Example 2 (magnesia-C unfired brick), the number of charges was 220 to 270 CH.
On the other hand, in Examples 1 to 7, the number of charges until the replacement was 290 to 340 CH, and it was confirmed that the durability was longer than those of Comparative Examples 1 and 2.
In the said durability test, although the hot metal processing container demonstrated with the hot metal ladle, the free board A which stuck the refractory material of Examples 1-7 on the internal peripheral surface of the
In addition, in the said embodiment, although the refractory material of this invention demonstrated as a refractory material of the container used for a desiliconization process, the refractory material of this invention is a container by which a dephosphorization process is performed after a desiliconization process. Of course, it can be used as a refractory material.
