Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a heat shield cover, and more particularly to a heat shield cover in which a pulsation damper is not affected by engine heat.
A pulsation damper is provided in a fuel system of a vehicle equipped with a fuel injection device. In the fuel injection device, the pulsation damper attenuates the pulsation pressure generated in the fuel distribution pipe when the fuel injection valve injects the fuel boosted by the fuel pump toward the intake pipe, to the vehicle pipe upstream of the fuel distribution pipe. It is a device for reducing the pulsation transmission of noise and reducing noise.
This pulsation damper is a fuel system part of a vehicle formed mainly of metal, and is provided in an engine room. That is, the pulsation damper is affected by the heat of the engine (or a member close to the engine such as an exhaust manifold) when the engine operates to generate heat. Under the influence of this heat, the pulsation damper has a problem that the engine does not restart in some cases.
Although it is the same problem, Patent Document 1 discloses that a heat shield member is applied to the fuel rail. Specifically, in Patent Document 1, in a fuel supply device that supplies liquid fuel in a fuel tank by a fuel pump and supplies each cylinder of an engine from a plurality of fuel injection valves disposed on the fuel rail, Substantially the entire outer surface is covered with a heat shield cover made of a low thermal conductivity material installed with a gap, and the multilayer heat shield structure includes an air layer formed by the gap and the heat shield cover. A fuel supply device for an engine is disclosed in which heat transfer from the outside to the fuel rail is cut off.
This invention is made | formed in view of the said actual condition, and makes it a subject to provide the thermal-insulation cover which the pulsation damper provided in the fuel system is not influenced by the heat of an engine.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors have studied the heat shield cover, and as a result, made the present invention.
A heat shield cover according to the present invention is provided in a fuel system of a vehicle having a fuel pipe that divides a fuel passage through which fuel passes and a pulsation damper connected to the fuel pipe. In combination, a heat shield cover that covers the connection between the pulsation damper and the fuel pipe and the pulsation damper and holds the fuel pipe and the pulsation damper at a position spaced from the outer peripheral wall that divides the outer periphery, Projecting to the inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall, the tip part has a plurality of support parts that contact the fuel pipe or the pulsation damper, and one of the support parts is a fuel pipe or pulsation so as to position the longitudinal direction of the fuel pipe. Abuts against the damper, and the other one of the support parts abuts so as to position the radial direction of the fuel pipe or pulsation damper. I am characterized in.
The heat-insulating cover of the present invention covers the pulsation damper and the connecting portion with the fuel pipe, thereby suppressing transmission of radiant heat from the engine or the like to the pulsation damper and the connecting portion. As a result, heating of the pulsation damper and the connecting portion is suppressed, and a problem that the engine does not start when the engine is restarted does not occur. That is, by providing the heat shield cover of the present invention, the pulsation damper provided in the fuel system exhibits the effect of being not affected by the heat of the engine.
The heat shield cover according to the present invention is provided in a fuel system of a vehicle including a fuel pipe that defines a fuel passage through which fuel passes and a pulsation damper provided in the path of the fuel pipe. The fuel system having the fuel pipe and the pulsation damper to which the heat shield cover of the present invention is assembled can use fuel system components used in conventionally known vehicles.
And the thermal insulation cover of this invention covers the connection part of a pulsation damper and a fuel pipe and a pulsation damper, combining the division | segmentation part of a some part. By covering the pulsation damper and the connecting portion, the covered portion is less likely to be affected by heat from the outside. That is, the heat from the engine and the exhaust manifold of the vehicle is shielded by the heat shield cover, so that the heat is hardly transmitted.
Moreover, the heat insulation cover of this invention is comprised combining the division part of a some part. That is, when combining a plurality of divided bodies, the pulsation damper and the connection part can be covered by combining the pulsation damper and the connection part in a state of being housed inside.
The heat shield cover of the present invention preferably holds the fuel pipe and the pulsation damper at a position spaced from the outer peripheral wall that defines the outer periphery. That is, the outer peripheral wall is spaced from the pulsation damper and the connecting portion, and heat transfer is suppressed by the air layer formed by this spacing, and the heat shielding performance of the heat shielding cover is improved.
The heat shield cover of the present invention has a plurality of support portions that protrude from the inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall and whose front ends abut against the fuel pipe or the pulsation damper, and one of the support sections positions the longitudinal direction of the fuel pipe. It is preferable that the fuel pipe or the pulsation damper is brought into contact with the other, and the other one of the support portions is in contact with the fuel pipe or the pulsation damper so as to position the radial direction thereof. The tip of the support part protruding from the inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall is in contact with the pulsation damper, etc., so that the pulsation damper and the connection part are spaced from the outer peripheral wall (the length corresponding to the protrusion height of the support part). Will be supported in a separated state. One of the plurality of support portions positions in the longitudinal direction of the fuel pipe (the direction in which the pipe extends), and the other one positions the radial direction of the fuel pipe or the pulsation damper. As a result, the pulsation damper and the fuel pipe are held and fixed at predetermined positions inside the heat shield cover.
It is preferable that each support portion has a substantially plate shape with one end portion serving as a tip portion, and each adjacent support portion is provided in a state where the extending directions of the respective tip portions intersect. By having a plate shape that is arranged in a direction in which adjacent support portions intersect, partial concentration of stress is suppressed and passage of fuel is not hindered. Specifically, if adjacent support parts are arranged in the same direction, stress in the same direction (radial direction) acts on the fuel pipe, etc., and depending on the material of the fuel pipe or pulsation damper, the adjacent support Compressed by the part. This compression reduces the diameter of the portion through which the fuel passes and hinders the passage of the fuel. In particular, when adjacent support portions alternately press radially inward from the opposing direction in the radial direction of the fuel pipe, the fuel pipe is compressed. The direction in which the adjacent support portions intersect is preferably a perpendicular direction.
It is preferable to have a heat insulating material on the inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral wall. By having a heat insulating material, the transfer of heat from the outer peripheral wall to the inside can be suppressed. Further, since the heat insulating cover has the heat insulating material, it is not necessary to assemble the heat insulating material on the fuel pipe or the like, and the heat insulating performance of the heat insulating cover can be easily improved. The material of the heat insulating material is not particularly limited as long as it can inhibit heat transfer, and examples thereof include a nonwoven fabric of fiber, a foamed resin, and foamed rubber.
Although the number of the division bodies which comprise the heat insulation cover of this invention is not specifically limited, It is preferable that it is two. The two divided bodies can be assembled so as to sandwich the pulsation damper. When the number of divided bodies increases too much, the cost of assembly increases.
The method of combining and integrating the divided bodies constituting the heat shield cover of the present invention is not particularly limited, and a conventionally known method such as adhesion, welding, claw fitting, or the like can be used.
The material constituting the heat shield cover of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it can suppress heat transfer to the inside of the heat shield cover, but is preferably a resin having heat resistance. . Examples of such a resin include nylon and phenol resin. Further, since the heat shield cover of the present invention is made of resin, an increase in the weight of the heat shield cover itself can be suppressed as compared with a material such as metal. Furthermore, the resin constituting the heat shield cover of the present invention may have a reinforcing material such as inorganic fiber therein.
It is preferable that at least the outer peripheral surface of the heat shield cover of the present invention is colored in a color that hardly absorbs radiant heat. The coloring of the color that hardly absorbs radiant heat may be the color of the member (divided body) constituting the heat shielding cover itself, or a colored layer colored with a paint or the like may be formed on the surface. Since the surface of the heat shield cover has a color that hardly absorbs radiant heat, it becomes difficult to absorb radiant heat, and the effect of the heat shield cover is improved. Examples of colors that hardly absorb radiant heat include white colors, natural colors such as beige, brown and yellow, and metallic luster colors. For the surface layer having metallic luster, a method such as plating or vapor deposition can be used.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described using examples.
As an example of the present invention, a heat shield cover was manufactured.
(Example)
The heat shield cover of the present embodiment is a cover that accommodates the pulsation damper 4 provided in the path of the fuel hose 6 inside, and is a heat shield cover having the configuration shown in FIGS. The heat shield cover 1 of the present embodiment is composed of a

A pair of side surfaces opposed to the
The heat shield cover 1 of the present embodiment accommodates the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 as follows. The pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 accommodated in the shielding cover of this embodiment are a conventionally known pulsation damper and fuel hose, and the pulsation damper 4 extends in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the fuel hose 6. It has a substantially cylindrical outer peripheral shape.
First, the
Then, the pulsation damper branching portion 5 and the pulsation damper 4 are arranged at predetermined positions of the
In the state in which the fuel hose 6 is disposed, the tip of the
Then, the
Thereby, the heat insulation cover 1 of the present Example was able to coat the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6.
In the state in which the heat shield cover 1 of the present embodiment is assembled, the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 accommodated inside the cover are located inside the cover 1 at a distance from the wall defining the outer peripheral surface of the cover 1. It is fixed. That is, heat from an engine or the like to which the heat shield cover is assembled is hardly transmitted to the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 fixed inside. As a result, the heating of the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 is suppressed, and the problem that the engine does not start when the engine is restarted does not occur.
Furthermore, the heat shield cover 1 of the present embodiment is less likely to absorb radiant heat due to its own color. Also from this effect, the heat shielding performance is improved.
In the state where the heat shield cover 1 of this embodiment is assembled, the
(Deformation)
As a modification of the heat shield cover 1 of the embodiment, a heat insulating material may be disposed on the surface of the heat shield cover 1 facing the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6. As a modified form of the heat shield cover of the above embodiment, a form in which a heat insulating material made of foamed rubber is arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the
The heat shield cover according to this modified embodiment has a heat shield performance improved by having a heat insulating material inside. That is, the heat shield cover according to the present modification has an effect that the heating of the pulsation damper 4 and the fuel hose 6 is further suppressed, and the problem that the engine does not start when the engine is restarted is less likely to occur.
