Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a lens unit including a cylindrical holder and a lens that is accommodated and fixed in the cylindrical holder, and a manufacturing method thereof.
In recent years, camera modules have been built in mobile phones, and their functions have been enhanced. The lens unit, which is an important part constituting the camera module, is improved in various aberrations by storing the lens in a cylindrical holder by bonding and fixing. Specifically, a gap is provided between the outer peripheral surface of the lens and the inner wall of the cylindrical holder, and an adhesive is applied to the gap and fixed, or the inner diameter of the cylindrical holder is made slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the lens. Thus, a method is adopted in which the lens is press-fitted into the cylindrical holder and fixed.
A problem in the above-described conventional lens unit is the curing time of the adhesive. That is, since the gap between the outer peripheral surface of the lens and the inner wall of the cylindrical holder is narrow, when an ultraviolet curable adhesive is used, it is difficult for ultraviolet light to reach and complete curing becomes difficult. When the uncured adhesive remains, the gas is volatilized from the uncured adhesive, and the volatile gas may cause the cloud of the lens, and in the worst case, the lens may come off.
When using a thermosetting adhesive or a UV curable adhesive combined with thermosetting, the uncured problem of the adhesive is solved, but it takes time for heat curing and the assembly time becomes longer. Furthermore, there is a problem that the yield during assembly may decrease due to the lens moving or being detached during assembly due to the difference in linear expansion coefficient between the lens and the cylindrical holder.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the above-described conventional problems, and to provide a lens unit capable of bonding and fixing a lens to a predetermined position of a cylindrical holder in a short time and with high accuracy and a method for manufacturing the same. Thus, the lens unit can be manufactured with a high yield and a short assembling time.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, in particular, in the fifth step, the gap between the first cylindrical holder and the second cylindrical holder is filled with a heat insulating material. For example, the effect of being able to manufacture a lens unit having high heat resistance can be obtained.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, the lens is positioned by measuring the optical characteristics and the coaxiality of the MTF in the first step. Since the accuracy can be enhanced, the characteristics of the lens unit are improved, and the effect of being able to be assembled at a high yield can be obtained.
As described above, the lens unit of the present invention includes the first cylindrical holder having translucency, the lens that is bonded and fixed in the first cylindrical holder by the ultraviolet curable adhesive, and the first And a second cylindrical holder having a light-shielding property for adhering and fixing the cylindrical holder inside, and the lens is bonded to the light-transmitting first cylindrical holder with an ultraviolet curable adhesive Since the lens is fixed, it is possible to bond and fix the lens to a predetermined position of the first cylindrical holder in a short time and with high accuracy, thereby providing a lens unit with a high yield. In addition, even if the specifications of the external appearance of the lens unit are changed, the external appearance can be changed only by changing the light-shielding second cylindrical holder, and this change in the external appearance affects the assembly accuracy of the lens. Is gone, The Le, together can be shortened development time, in which exhibits the excellent effect that it becomes wider flexibility in the appearance of the lens unit.
Hereinafter, a structure of a lens unit and a manufacturing method thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1 is a perspective view of a lens unit according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a front view of the lens unit, and FIGS. 3 to 5 show various modifications of the cross-sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. It is.
1 to 5, 1 is a first cylindrical holder having translucency made of a resin material such as polycarbonate or liquid crystal polymer, and 2 is a light shielding property made of a resin material such as polycarbonate or liquid crystal polymer, or a metal material. The second
The first
In addition, as shown in FIG. 3, the first lens 4, the
Further, with respect to the adhesive 9 applied to the lower surfaces of the
In addition, when changing the appearance of the lens unit, it is necessary to modify the design of the normal lens unit in consideration of both the appearance and the internal molding accuracy. When the cylindrical holder is manufactured by molding with a resin material, the shape in the vicinity of the lens greatly affects the molding accuracy. In other words, sinking or the like occurs due to the resin flow at the time of molding, and the required accuracy at the time of assembly cannot be satisfied, resulting in a decrease in yield after assembly.
In the lens unit according to the embodiment of the present invention, as described above, the appearance of the lens unit is determined by the second
Further, if the gap between the first
The lens unit shown in FIG. 4 does not have a step-like holding portion 1a for positioning the first lens 4 in the lens unit shown in FIG. Otherwise, the lens unit has the same configuration as that shown in FIG.
The lens unit shown in FIG. 5 includes step-
6A to 6H are manufacturing process diagrams illustrating a method for manufacturing a lens unit according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Hereinafter, a method for manufacturing a lens unit according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
First, as shown in FIG. 6A, the first
At this time, it is designed so that the outer diameter of the first lens 4 and the outer diameter of the step in the stepped holding portion 1a are substantially equal or the difference is about 10 microns. Thereafter, an ultraviolet
Next, as shown in FIG. 6B, the outer periphery of the first lens 4 positioned and fixed at the step in the step-like holding portion 1a in the first
In this state,
In this case, since the first
FIGS. 6C to 6G show all of the first to fourth steps of the method of manufacturing the lens unit according to the embodiment of the present invention, that is, the
When the
FIG. 6 (h) shows the fifth step of the method of manufacturing a lens unit according to the embodiment of the present invention. That is, the fifth step is the same as that shown in FIGS. After the first, second, and
When the lens unit shown in FIG. 4 is manufactured, the first lens 4 may be fixed by the fixing
Further, when the lens unit shown in FIG. 5 is manufactured, the
The lens unit according to the present invention can bond and fix the lens to a predetermined position of the first cylindrical holder in a short time and with high accuracy, thereby providing a high-yield lens unit. In addition, the development period can be shortened with respect to a change in the specifications of the appearance of the lens unit, and the degree of freedom of the lens unit is increased, which is useful in imaging devices in various electronic devices.
