Description

The present invention relates to a money handling machine that sorts inserted coins for each denomination and stores them in each storage, and calculates change according to a withdrawal instruction to withdraw money from each storage.

In a POS (Pint Of Sales) cash register such as a supermarket, a money handling machine for depositing deposits and dispensing changes is used. Such a money handling machine is configured to withdraw money with a minimum denomination amount in response to a withdrawal instruction (change instruction) from a host machine such as a normal POS. Further, when there is a shortage denomination in the stored money in response to the withdrawal instruction, the money is deconstructed with the denomination of the face value immediately below the shortage denomination.

On the other hand, if the storage becomes full and the deposit can no longer be stored, the cashier is stopped. On the other hand, an overflow storage is provided on the upstream side (payment side) of the storage to store money that cannot be stored in the storage, or the storage can be stored downstream (withdrawal) of the storage. What is equipped with the overflow storage which saves and stores the lost money is known (for example, refer patent documents 1-3). This overflow warehouse is usually configured not to have a payout mechanism for withdrawal.

FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a conventional money handling machine equipped with such an overflow warehouse on the deposit side. Here, a case of a coin processor that processes coins is shown.
This money handling machine is sorted by coin type, a billing unit 2 for identifying coins, a sorting unit 3 for sorting and counting coins by denomination according to diameter, and by coin type. The coins paid out from the storage unit 4, the storage unit 4 that stores the coins in the respective storage units and counts and pays out, the withdrawal conveyance unit 5 that holds and conveys the coins paid out from the storage unit 4, A withdrawal port 6 for withdrawing money, an overflow storage 7 on the deposit side, and an overflow gate 8 for storing coins in the overflow storage 7 are provided.

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-35119 JP 10-302106 A JP 2000-182119 A

However, in the conventional money handling machine as described above, there is a need for a storage unit such as an overflow storage unit that stores and stores money that cannot be stored in the storage unit or money that cannot be stored in the storage unit. Has no money feeding mechanism for withdrawing money, so that the money stored in the retreating storage unit cannot be used for withdrawal, resulting in “dead money”.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and without providing a retracting storage unit such as an overflow storage, even when the storage is full, the cash register is not stopped, and the overflow storage It is an object of the present invention to provide a money handling machine that is stored in a retreat storage unit such as money that does not cause money to be “dead money” with respect to withdrawal.

In the present invention, in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the input money is distributed and counted for each denomination, stored in a storage provided for each denomination or a storage of mixed denominations, and from the upper control unit. In a money processing machine that determines the denomination and number of coins based on the withdrawal instruction of the storage and dispenses change from the storage, a receiving unit that receives the withdrawal instruction amount from the host control unit, and the received withdrawal A calculation unit that calculates a denomination and the number of coins according to an instruction amount; and a detection unit that detects a money storage state of each storage. The calculation unit is configured to detect the withdrawal according to a detection result of the detection unit. There is provided a money handling machine characterized by calculating the denomination and the number of instructions.

According to such a money handling machine, since the denomination and the number of withdrawal instruction amounts are calculated according to the money storage state of each storage, the storage is full without providing a retracting storage such as an overflow storage. Even if it becomes a state, the cash register is not stopped, and it is stored in a retreat storage unit such as an overflow store, so that the money is not “dead money” with respect to withdrawal.

Since the money handling machine according to the present invention calculates the denomination and number of withdrawal instruction amounts according to the money storage state of each storage, the storage can be in a full state without providing a storage unit such as an overflow storage. Even if it becomes, there is an advantage that the cash register is not stopped and the money is not stored as “dead money” with respect to the withdrawal without being stopped and stored in a retreat storage such as an overflow storage.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a money handling machine according to an embodiment of the present invention. Here, a case of a coin processor that processes coins is shown.

The money handling machine includes an insertion unit 1 into which coins are inserted, a sorting unit 3 that sorts and counts coins by denomination by diameter, and stores and counts coins sorted by denomination in respective storages. A storage unit 4 for paying out, a withdrawal transport unit 5 for holding and transporting coins paid out from the storage unit 4, and a tray-like withdrawal port 6 for dispensing coins paid out from the storage unit 4 are provided. It has been.

The storage unit 4 is divided into a 500 yen storage 4a, a 10 yen storage 4b, a 100 yen storage 4c, a 5 yen storage 4d, a 50 yen storage 4e, and a 1 yen storage 4f. And the thrown coin is stored in each storage 4a-4f in order with a small diameter in the distribution part 3. As shown in FIG.

Also, a receiving unit 11 that receives a withdrawal instruction amount (change amount) from a POS register (not shown), a calculation unit 12 that calculates the denomination and number of sheets according to the received withdrawal instruction amount, and each storage Each detection means 13a-13f which detects the money storage state of storage 4a-4f is provided.

The computing unit 12 computes the denomination and the number of coins of the minimum configuration for the withdrawal instruction amount according to the detection results of the detection means 13a to 13f. Specifically, the detection means 13a to 13f detect the full or near-full state of the money stored in the respective storages 4a to 4f, and the calculation unit 12 denominations of the storages 4a to 4f that detect the full or near-full state. Is assigned with priority.

The money handling machine distributes and counts the inserted money for each denomination, stores it in a storage provided for each denomination or a storage of mixed denominations, and based on a withdrawal instruction from the POS cash register. Then, the denomination and the number of coins are determined and the change is withdrawn from the storage. Although not shown in the drawings, the money handling machine of the present embodiment is provided with an overflow warehouse and an overflow gate for storing money from the depositing side and the withdrawal side in the overflow warehouse. There is no need for an overflow storage and an overflow gate.

(S8)。   FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an operation flow of the money handling machine having the above-described configuration. Are the coins inserted into the input unit 1 (S1) passed through the overflow gate (S2), sorted into denominations by the distribution unit 3 (S3), and stored in the storage unit 4 (S4)? Or, it is stored in the overflow box (S8). Further, at the time of withdrawal, coins are paid out from the storage unit 4 to the withdrawal transport unit 5 (S5), passed through the overflow gate (S6), discharged to the withdrawal port 6 (S7), or stored in the overflow store. (S8).

Next, a specific operation when the money handling machine connected to the POS cash register is used as a change machine will be described step by step.
(1) When the registration (scanning) of the customer's purchase is completed, the POS register calculates the total amount and displays the amount on the display unit of the POS register. Usually, the person in charge of the POS register reads out the amount, and the customer hands over the money more than the purchase amount to the person in charge of the POS register as a deposit.

(2) The person in charge at the POS register reads out the deposit amount and stamps the amount in the POS register.
(3) The POS register calculates “change amount” = “cash amount (stamped amount) −purchase amount” and notifies the money handling machine.

(4) The money handling machine calculates the denomination and number of each money according to the amount received, and withdraws change.
(5) The person in charge at the POS register hands over the receipt and money withdrawn from the money handling machine to the customer.

(6) When the customer is satisfied and leaves the POS register, deposit the deposit into the money handling machine.
This completes the deposit of money and the withdrawal of change. At that time, as described above, the minimum denomination and the number of coins are calculated when withdrawing money. If the denomination and the number of coins calculated in the above (4) do not exist in the storage unit 4, it is one lower. Convert to the face value of and withdraw. For example, if the withdrawal is 999 yen, the minimum denomination and number are as shown in Table 1.

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

However, if the number of 50 yen coins stored in the storage unit 4 is 0, for example, 5 10-yen coins are used for withdrawal, so the storage number of the storage unit 4 and the actual payout (withdrawal) are As shown in Table 2. Table 3 shows the number of sheets stored in the storage unit 4 after paying out.

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

Next, from the above state, when three 100 yen coins are deposited in another transaction in (6), assuming that the full number that can be stored in the 100 yen storage 4c is 120, 119 + 3 Since 122 sheets = 122 sheets, 122 sheets−120 sheets = 2 sheets are stored in the overflow box. Accordingly, the number of sheets stored in the storage unit 4 is as shown in Table 4.

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

Here, in the money handling machine according to the present embodiment, as described above, the detecting means 13a to 13f detect the full or near-full state of the money stored in the respective storages 4a to 4f, for example, a 100 yen storage 4c. When the near-full number is 101, the storage number of the storage unit 4 and the actual payout are as shown in Table 5 when 999 yen is withdrawn. Table 6 shows the number of sheets stored in the storage unit 4 after paying out.

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

Figure 2007219828
Figure 2007219828

As described above, in this embodiment, since the denomination and the number of withdrawal instruction amounts are calculated according to the money storage states of the respective storages 4a to 4f, the storage is performed without providing a retracting storage unit such as an overflow storage. Even when the storage becomes full, the POS cash register is not stopped, and the money is not stored as “dead money” with respect to the withdrawal by storing it in a storage unit such as an overflow storage.

Further, the detecting means 13a to 13f detect the full or near-full state of the money stored in the respective storages 4a to 4f, and the calculation unit 12 prioritizes the denominations of the storages 4a to 4f that detect the full or near-full state. The denominations to be preferentially assigned can be individually set in advance, and the lower limit of the number of denominations to be preferentially assigned can be set in advance.

Table 7 shows examples of setting the full and near full numbers. Table 8 shows an example of setting priority withdrawals, and Table 9 shows an example of setting the lower limit number of priority withdrawals (setting example for preferential withdrawal when the number of priority withdrawals falls below that number).

Moreover, you may make it display the full or near-full state of each storage 4a-4f detected by the detection means 13a-13f, and the said money type allocated preferentially.
In the above-described embodiment, the case of a coin handling machine that handles coins has been described. However, the money handling machine of the present invention may be a banknote handling machine that handles banknotes, or a money handling machine that handles both banknotes and coins. It may be.
