Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an image display device and a retinal scanning image display device, and in particular, an image display device and a retina that display an image by emitting image light according to an image signal and reflecting the image light. The present invention relates to a scanning image display apparatus.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an image display device for displaying an image displays an image by image light emitted in accordance with an image signal related to the image or external light from the outside, and makes it possible to visually recognize the state of the outside. There is a device.
In such an image display device, for example, as shown in
Further, in the image display device disclosed in
As shown in FIG. 9, the
However, in the image display apparatus as described above, when the
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems. Even when a projection is provided outside the incident angle range of the image light within the viewing angle range within the user's viewing angle, the projection is used. An object of the present invention is to provide an image display device and a retinal scanning image display device that can prevent a sense of incongruity.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides the following.
That is, according to the first aspect of the present invention, an emission device that emits image light in accordance with an image signal, the image light emitted from the emission device, and the image light are reflected toward the user's eyes. The prism is a surface perpendicular to the direction of the user's line of sight within the incident angle range of the image light in the viewing angle range within the viewing angle of the user, and is external to the outside world. A first plane on which light is incident, and a plane perpendicular to a user's line-of-sight direction within an incident angle range of the image light, and external light incident from the first plane is incident on the user's eyes The second plane that is emitted to the first plane and the first plane side outside the incident angle range of the image light in the viewing angle range within the viewing angle of the user, and guides the image light emitted from the emitting device. Projections for Has, on the outside of the incident angle range of the prism, the image display apparatus characterized by lighting processing to be incident outside light from outside the angle of incidence to the user's eye is performed.
In the present invention according to
Further, in the present invention according to claim 3, the protrusion is formed with a width smaller than that of the first plane, and external light from outside the incident angle range is not formed at the protrusion. The image display apparatus according to
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, a plurality of step-like step portions for allowing external light from outside the incident angle range to enter the user's eyes are formed on the surface of the projection portion. The image display device according to
Further, in the present invention according to claim 5, the plurality of stepped portions include a plurality of slopes corresponding to an angle from the user's eyes and a plurality of planes perpendicular to the user's line-of-sight direction. The image display device according to claim 4.
Further, in the present invention according to
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, the image display device according to any one of the first to sixth aspects is provided, and the image light modulated according to the image signal is scanned and emitted to the prism. A retinal scanning image display apparatus that projects and displays an image on the retina of at least one eye of the user.
According to the first or seventh aspect of the present invention, the prism is a surface perpendicular to the direction of the user's line of sight within the incident angle range of the image light in the viewing angle range within the user's viewing angle, and is external to the outside. A first plane on which light is incident, and a second plane on which external light incident from the first plane is emitted to the user's eyes, and has a viewing angle range within the viewing angle of the user Of these, a projection is formed on the first plane side outside the incident angle range of the image light and guides the image light emitted from the emission device. Further, outside the incident angle range of the prism, daylighting processing was performed to allow external light from outside the incident angle range to enter the user's eyes. Therefore, even when the projection of the prism is provided outside the incident angle range in the user's viewing angle range, since the daylighting processing is performed outside the incident angle range, the external light from outside the incident angle range It is possible to recognize the amount of light and the like, and to prevent the user from feeling uncomfortable due to the use of the image display device that is different from the user's normal feeling.
According to the invention described in
According to the invention described in claim 3 or 7, the protrusion is formed to have a width smaller than that of the first plane, and the outside light from outside the incident angle range of the user is not formed at the protrusion. Through the eye of the user. Therefore, even if the external light from outside the incident angle range of the user is not incident on the user's eye by the protrusion, it is incident on the user's eye through the portion where the protrusion is not formed. It becomes possible to recognize the amount of external light from outside the angular range, and to prevent the user from feeling uncomfortable due to the use of an image display device that is different from the normal sense of the user.
According to the invention described in claim 4 or 7, a plurality of step-like step portions for allowing external light from outside the incident angle range of the user to enter the user's eyes are formed on the surface of the projection portion. . Therefore, by forming the stepped portion on the surface of the protrusion, a part or all of the external light is incident on the user's eyes without reflecting all the external light from outside the incident angle range of the user. Thus, it becomes possible to recognize the amount of external light from outside the incident angle range, and it is possible to prevent the user from feeling uncomfortable due to the use of the image display device that is different from the normal sense of the user.
According to the invention described in claim 5 or 7, the plurality of staircase portions have slopes corresponding to an angle from the user's eyes. Therefore, it is difficult to prevent outside light from outside the incident angle range of the user by the slope, and a larger amount of outside light is incident on the user's eyes, and the amount of outside light from outside the incident angle range is further recognized. It becomes easy to do. As a specific example, by comprising a plurality of stepped portions having slopes along a straight line from the user's eyes, the outside light from outside the user's incident angle range is prevented from being disturbed by the slope. A lot of external light is incident on the user's eyes, making it easier to recognize the amount of external light from outside the incident angle range. Of course, what is necessary is just to comprise so that it may have the slope of the angle close | similar to the straight line even if it does not follow along the straight line from a user's eyes exactly.
According to invention of
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[Configuration of image display device]
Hereinafter, an embodiment of an image display device and a retinal scanning image display device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, the configuration of a
The
In the present embodiment, the
As will be described in detail later, the emitting
As described above, the
In addition, the
In addition, the emitting
The
The
The
The
Further, from the
The
As will be described in detail later, the external
The image
Further, by forming the
As described above, the
The
In addition, the
Thus, by providing the
Therefore, as described above, the external
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 3A and 4, a plurality of stepped portions 164 (see FIG. 4) are formed on the surface of the external
As shown in FIG. 4, the plurality of
Therefore, by forming the plurality of stepped
Further, as described above, the plurality of
As described above, since the outside light incident range A2 of the
[Electrical configuration of image display device]
The electrical configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 5, the
Further, the
The
As a specific example, the
On the other hand, the
The
The
Next, the process from when the
As shown in FIG. 5, in the

[Second Embodiment]
In the above-described embodiment, by providing the plurality of stepped
As shown in FIG. 6, the
As described above, the incident is made via the
[Third Embodiment]
In the above-described embodiment, the
In this case, in the
[Fourth Embodiment]
Moreover, the diffusion process which diffuses the external light Z3 may be given to the surface of the projection parts 156,176,196. As a result, the surface of the protrusion is subjected to diffusion processing, so that all or part of the external light Z3 from outside the incident angle range A2 of the
As described above, since the outside light incident range A2 of the
[Other Embodiments]
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the
Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the image based on the image light is displayed only on the left eye of the
Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the
As described above, some of the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail with reference to the drawings. The present invention can be implemented in other forms that have been modified or improved.
