Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus, and more particularly to an image forming apparatus provided with a device that collects dust and the like generated in the image forming apparatus.
Conventionally, image forming apparatuses such as electrophotographic copiers and printers have generated dust and the like derived from developer and paper, and dust mainly composed of organic substances such as volatile compounds generated during fixing of the developer. ing. For example, a conventional image forming apparatus is generally provided with a heat fixing device, and the temperature of the fixing roller is usually adjusted to 160 to 200 ° C. Therefore, the fixing device and its vicinity are at a high temperature, and volatile substances contained in the developer are volatilized and generated during heat fixing. Therefore, many countermeasures have been taken for these generated substances.
Regarding dust, for example, Patent Document 1 proposes to use a dust collector including a duct, a fan, and a dustproof filter that collects toner scattered in the image forming apparatus in order to collect the dust. For volatile compounds, for example,
However, the method of Patent Document 1 has a problem that dust or the like made of fine particles passes through the filter and cannot be collected. In addition, the method of
On the other hand, regarding the dust collector of fine powder, there is a dust collector described in
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide an image forming apparatus capable of effectively collecting generated substances such as dust and volatile compounds generated in the image forming apparatus and discharging clean gas to the outside of the image forming apparatus.
The best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view showing an example of an image forming apparatus according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the fixing device according to the embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a schematic view of a collection device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, the image forming apparatus according to the present invention rotates a
The electrostatic latent image on the
On the other hand, the untransferred toner on the
The main body frame A is a semi-hermetic type, and the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
In general, the fixing device B includes a release agent coating unit. For example, as shown in FIG. 2, the release agent application means winds a
The temperature of the
As shown in FIG. 3, the image forming apparatus according to the present invention collects dust and volatile substances contained in the

At that time, the concentration of the water-soluble organic solvent is preferably 0.1 to 99.9% by mass. More preferably, it is 30-60 mass%. Thereby, a volatile organic compound can be dissolved and removed more effectively.

Examples thereof include glycol solvents such as diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol and propylene glycol, and glycol ether solvents such as diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, triethylene glycol monoethyl ether, diethylene glycol dimethyl ether and methoxymethyl butanol. A solvent having 17 or more carbon atoms is preferable, and examples thereof include polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 300 or more of a glycol solvent, polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether having a molecular weight of 300 or more of a glycol ether solvent, and the like.
