Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an X-ray tube having a small focus such as a micro focus and an X-ray inspection apparatus using the X-ray tube, and in particular, reduces fluctuations in the amount of focus movement caused by an increase in anode temperature during use of the X-ray tube, In addition, the present invention relates to a technology that enables high-precision X-ray inspection by controlling the amount of focus movement with an X-ray inspection apparatus.
An example of a conventional X-ray inspection apparatus is shown in FIG. This X-ray inspection apparatus is an apparatus for X-ray CT inspection. In FIG. 8, an X-ray
Such an X-ray
An example of a conventional microfocus X-ray tube is shown in FIG. The microfocus X-ray tube shown in FIG. 9 is of a fixed anode type, but there is also a rotating anode type in which the anode rotates. In FIG. 9, a
In such an
As described above, in the X-ray
In addition, the X-ray
FIG. 10 shows an outline of the temporal change in temperature or thermal expansion of the
In consideration of the above, when the X-ray
As another countermeasure for the movement of the
Among the countermeasures for moving the focal point of the
The methods disclosed in Patent Document 2 and Patent Document 3 can be employed when the
In addition, the method of moving the
In view of the above, in the present invention, it is possible to control the amount of movement of the focal point due to the temperature rise of the anode of the microfocus X-ray tube, and by using the X-ray tube in a state where the variation of the focal point movement amount of the X-ray tube is small, An object of the present invention is to provide an X-ray inspection apparatus that eliminates artifacts and enables high-precision X-ray inspection.
In order to achieve the above object, an X-ray tube of the present invention comprises a cathode that generates thermoelectrons, a cathode having an electron focusing system that focuses the thermoelectrons into a thin beam electron beam, and an electron beam from the cathode. An X-ray tube including an anode having a target that generates X-rays by collision, and an envelope that contains the cathode and the anode in a vacuum-tight manner, and is insulated and supported so as to face each other, provided separately from the cathode Separately from a second cathode (hereinafter referred to as an emission cathode) and the target (hereinafter referred to as a first target), a second target provided on the anode is provided opposite to the emission cathode. A current (hereinafter referred to as an emission cathode current) generated by an electron beam from the emission cathode toward the second target is used to heat the anode (Claim 1).
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the temperature of the anode can be controlled by controlling the value of the emission cathode current.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, an X-ray shield for preventing the X-ray generated by the emission cathode current from colliding with the second target from leaking to the outside is an X-ray source of the second target. It is provided in the vicinity of (focal point).
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the size of the focal point formed on the second target by the emission cathode current is determined by the current of the electron beam from the cathode (hereinafter referred to as net X-ray tube current). This is larger than the size of the X-ray source (focal point) formed on the first target.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the second target of the anode is omitted, and an anode base material that supports the first target is substituted.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the anode is a rotating anode.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the anode is a rotating anode, and the second target is included in the target. Also, the focal point rotation trajectory formed by the net X-ray tube current and the focal point rotation trajectory formed by the emission cathode current are shifted so as not to coincide.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the emission cathode is disposed at a position rotated about 120 degrees or more from the cathode with the anode as a central axis at a rotation angle. The emission cathode is disposed at a position rotated by approximately 180 degrees with respect to the cathode.
An X-ray generator of the present invention includes an X-ray tube that generates X-rays, an X-ray tube support that supports the X-ray tube, a high-voltage power supply that supplies an X-ray tube voltage to the X-ray tube, Cathode current that supplies cathode heating voltage to the cathode of the X-ray tube, insulating oil that insulates and cools the X-ray tube, and a container that contains at least the X-ray tube, the X-ray tube support, and insulating oil In the X-ray generator, the X-ray tube is the X-ray tube according to the present invention, and further includes an emission cathode power supply for supplying a cathode heating voltage to the emission cathode of the X-ray tube.
In the X-ray generator of the present invention, the anode of the X-ray tube is a rotating anode, and further includes a stator and a stator power source for rotating the rotating anode.
The X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention also includes an X-ray generator that generates X-rays, a pedestal that supports the subject, and an X-ray that is emitted from the X-ray generator and detects the X-rays transmitted through the subject. A control device that controls a detection device, an X-ray generation device, and other devices, and creates an X-ray image of a subject from information obtained by the X-ray detection device, and a monitor that outputs the X-ray image to a screen An X-ray inspection apparatus comprising an apparatus, an X-ray generation apparatus, a pedestal, an X-ray detection apparatus, and an X-ray shielding box for preventing X-ray leakage to the outside. An X-ray generator according to the invention (Claim 3).
Further, in the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, the X-ray tube anode contained in the X-ray generator is maintained at a substantially constant temperature of an appropriate high temperature state during the X-ray inspection. The emission cathode current of the tube is controlled by the controller. The substantially constant temperature is a temperature indicating an upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube.
In the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, the sum of the load from the cathode and the load from the emission cathode that is input to the anode of the X-ray tube included in the X-ray generator during X-ray inspection is always The emission cathode current is controlled by the control device so as to obtain a load that is necessary for maintaining the temperature of the anode at an appropriate high temperature and a substantially constant load. The substantially constant load is an upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube.
In the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, the load from the cathode and the load from the emission cathode that are input to the anode of the X-ray tube included in the X-ray generator during warm-up before the start of the X-ray inspection. The emission cathode current is controlled by the control device so that the sum becomes a load that is necessary for maintaining the temperature of the anode at a proper high temperature state and a substantially constant load. The substantially constant load is an upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube.
In the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, only the load from the emission cathode is input to the anode of the X-ray tube included in the X-ray generation apparatus at the time of warming up before the start of the X-ray inspection. The emission cathode current is controlled by the controller so as to obtain a load that is necessary for maintaining the temperature of the anode at an appropriate high temperature and a substantially constant load. The substantially constant load is an upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube.
Since the X-ray tube of the present invention has an emission cathode for heating the anode separately from the ordinary cathode for forming the micro focus, the emission cathode and the ordinary cathode for the micro focus are used. Using both, or using only the emission cathode, it is possible to input a larger load on the anode than with a normal cathode for microfocus alone, and as a result, It is possible to make the anode temperature rise time shorter than in the case and to maintain the anode temperature at a higher temperature. The amount of focus movement of the X-ray tube increases as the temperature of the anode increases, but the rate of change of the amount of focus movement relative to the input load to the anode decreases as the temperature of the anode increases. In the used X-ray inspection apparatus, the X-ray inspection can be performed in a state where the fluctuation of the focal shift amount is small by flowing an emission cathode current to the anode of the X-ray tube and maintaining it at a high temperature during the X-ray inspection. X-ray images with higher image quality than conventional products can be obtained. Further, at the time of warming up before the start of the X-ray inspection, the warming up time can be shortened compared with the conventional product by using the emission cathode.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the value of the emission cathode current is controlled so that the temperature of the anode can be controlled. Therefore, the emission cathode current is changed to a normal cathode during actual use or before the start of use of the X-ray tube. The anode temperature is increased to a higher temperature at a higher speed than in the past by flowing an X-ray tube current larger than the normal cathode current by controlling the current, that is, the net X-ray tube current or by controlling the emission cathode current alone. And can be maintained at a higher temperature than before.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the X-ray shield is provided in the vicinity of the focal point of the second target in order to shield the X-ray generated in the second target by the emission cathode current. Since the X-ray from the target does not leak to the outside and is not mixed with the X-ray from the first target, the X-ray tube of the present invention can be used safely and has a high image quality. A line image can be provided.
Further, in the X-ray tube of the present invention, the size of the focal point formed on the second target by the emission cathode current is the same as that of the focal point formed on the first target by the current from the cathode, that is, the net X-ray tube current. Since it is larger than the size, it is possible to make the emission cathode current larger than the net X-ray tube current. By using a normal cathode and an emission cathode together, the temperature of the anode is made higher than that of the conventional product. Also, the temperature can be increased at least twice as fast, and the anode temperature can be maintained higher than that of the conventional product. Further, by increasing the focal point due to the emission cathode current, the anode temperature can be raised even with the emission cathode alone.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the second target of the anode is omitted and the anode base material supporting the first target is used, so the material cost of the second target, the processing cost of the anode, etc. This contributes to a reduction in the manufacturing cost of the X-ray tube. In order to omit the second target of the anode, it is necessary that the focal spot formed by the emission cathode current is large.
Further, in the X-ray tube of the present invention, since the anode is a rotating anode, the focal size of the micro focus used for the X-ray inspection can be remarkably reduced as compared with that of the fixed anode, and a high-definition X-ray image is obtained. As a result, high-precision X-ray inspection can be performed.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, since the second target is included in the first target, the second target is not necessary, which contributes to a reduction in the manufacturing cost of the X-ray tube. This is realized with a disk-shaped target of a normal rotating anode X-ray tube. Further, since the focus rotation trajectory due to the net X-ray tube current and the focus rotation trajectory due to the emission cathode current are shifted so as not to coincide, the allowable load of the focus formed by the net X-ray tube current is almost the same. It can be put into practical use without lowering.
In the X-ray tube of the present invention, the emission cathode is disposed at a position rotated about 120 degrees or more from the cathode with the anode as the central axis. X-rays generated at the target of the cathode are not directly emitted to the outside due to the cathode current mixed with the X-rays generated at the first target, and a high-definition X-ray image at a micro focus formed in the cathode current Can be obtained.
The X-ray generator of the present invention includes the X-ray tube of the present invention and an emission cathode power supply for supplying a cathode heating voltage to the emission cathode of the X-ray tube. By supplying the necessary voltage to the emission cathode of the tube and causing the emission cathode current to flow toward the anode, the anode can be heated and the temperature can be raised. In addition, by adjusting the voltage supplied to the emission cathode from the emission cathode power supply, the emission cathode current can be changed to change the input load to the anode, so this adjustment changes the temperature rise rate of the anode. In addition, the temperature of the anode maintained during use can be changed, and as a result, the warm-up time before the start of the X-ray inspection can be shortened and the X-ray inspection can be performed in a state in which the fluctuation of the focus movement amount is small ( Claim 2).
In the X-ray generator of the present invention, the anode of the X-ray tube is a rotating anode, and further includes a stator and a stator power source for rotating the rotating anode. Can be made much smaller than when a fixed anode X-ray tube is used, and a high-definition X-ray image can be obtained. As a result, high-precision X-ray inspection can be performed.
In addition, since the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention includes the X-ray generation apparatus of the present invention as a constituent element, the same effect as in the case of claim 2 can be obtained (claim 3).
Further, in the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, the emission cathode necessary for maintaining the temperature of the anode of the X-ray tube included in the X-ray generator during the X-ray inspection at a substantially constant temperature of an appropriate high temperature state. Since the emission cathode power supply is controlled by the control device so as to allow current to flow, the temperature of the anode of the X-ray tube is maintained at a substantially constant temperature in an appropriate high temperature state, and the thermal expansion of the anode, that is, the fluctuation of the focal shift amount Since X-ray inspection is performed in a small state, a high-quality X-ray image free from artifacts can be obtained, and high-precision X-ray inspection can be performed. Further, since the above-mentioned substantially constant temperature is set to a temperature indicating the upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube, the fluctuation of the focal shift amount becomes the smallest at this temperature. The X-ray image obtained by the inspection has the least artifact and becomes a high-definition X-ray image.
In the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, the sum of the load from the cathode and the load from the emission cathode input to the anode of the X-ray tube during the X-ray inspection always maintains the anode temperature at an appropriate high temperature. Since the emission cathode current is controlled so that the load is necessary and almost constant, the temperature of the anode of the X-ray tube is maintained at a substantially constant temperature in an appropriate high temperature state by this control, and the focal point is moved. X-ray inspection can be performed with a small amount of fluctuation, and a high-definition X-ray image can be obtained. In addition, since the above-described substantially constant load is set to a temperature that indicates the upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the X-ray tube, X-ray inspection can be performed with the least amount of focal movement at this temperature. A fine X-ray image can be obtained.
In the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, when warming up before the start of X-ray inspection, the sum of the load from the cathode input to the anode of the X-ray tube and the load from the emission cathode sets the temperature of the anode to an appropriate high temperature state. Because the emission cathode current is controlled so that it is a load necessary to maintain a constant load, the warm-up can be performed at a higher load than the conventional product, and the warm-up time can be shortened. . In addition, since the above-described substantially constant load is the upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube, the anode temperature is maximum, the input load is maximum, and the warm-up time is the shortest time.
Further, in the X-ray inspection apparatus of the present invention, when warming up before the start of X-ray inspection, the load input to the anode of the X-ray tube is limited to the load from the emission cathode, and the load from the emission cathode sets the temperature of the anode to an appropriate high temperature. Since the emission cathode current is controlled so that the load necessary to maintain the state is almost constant, warm-up with a higher load than conventional products is possible, and warm-up time can be shortened. . Further, since the warming up is performed only with the emission cathode, the warming up process and its control are simplified. Further, since the above-mentioned substantially constant load is the upper limit value of the cooling capacity of the anode of the X-ray tube, the warm-up time is the shortest time with this load.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
First, the structure of an embodiment of a fixed anode X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a structural diagram of an embodiment of a fixed anode X-ray tube according to the present invention. In FIG. 1, a fixed anode X-ray tube (hereinafter abbreviated as an X-ray tube) 10 includes two cathodes, that is, a
In FIG. 1, two
The
The
The
Further, an
Next, the structure of the second embodiment of the X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a structural diagram of an embodiment of a rotary anode X-ray tube according to the present invention. The present embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that the anode is a rotating anode, and the other parts are partially different accordingly. In FIG. 2, a rotary anode X-ray tube (hereinafter abbreviated as X-ray tube) 60 of this embodiment includes a rotary anode (hereinafter abbreviated as anode) 62, two
Of the components of the
The
Next, the structure of an embodiment of the X-ray generator according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is a schematic configuration diagram of an embodiment of an X-ray generator according to the present invention. In FIG. 3, the container is shown broken away so that the internal components can be seen. In FIG. 3, the rotary
The
Next, the configuration of an embodiment of the X-ray inspection apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a schematic configuration diagram of an embodiment of the X-ray inspection apparatus according to the present invention. In FIG. 4, an
Next, operations related to the object of the present invention of the X-ray tube and the apparatus using the same according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 and FIGS. As described above, the object of the present invention is to control the movement of the focus of the X-ray tube that occurs during X-ray irradiation when a micro-focus X-ray tube is mounted on an X-ray inspection device such as an X-ray CT inspection device. It is to eliminate the artifacts of the X-ray image generated by the focus movement. Hereinafter, in the present invention, how to control the focus movement of the X-ray tube at the time of X-ray irradiation will be sequentially described. In the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
FIG. 5 shows an example of an emission cathode current control flowchart for reducing the focal shift amount according to the present invention. In this embodiment, the emission cathode current value necessary for maintaining the temperature of the
In addition, when using an X-ray inspection device, warm-up is performed to raise the temperature of the
