Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a personal authentication device that authenticates a person himself / herself using data of a characteristic part of a body such as a fingerprint pattern or a vein pattern in a living body such as a person, and in particular, the characteristic part of the body is a counterfeit. The present invention relates to a personal authentication device having a function of determining that it is not or an imaging device thereof.
In recent years, for example, the need for personal authentication has increased for entrance / exit management of buildings, identity verification of cash dispensers, and security management of mobile phones, personal computers, etc. Biometrics using body-specific data such as patterns are known.
In biometrics, for example, a contact type fingerprint authentication device that projects light from a light source on the fingernail side of the finger and detects light scattered on the surface of the fingerprint side to image a fingerprint pattern, near-red on a finger or hand A vein authentication device that detects the arrangement of a vein pattern that transmits external light and has a low transmittance is well known. The vein authentication device utilizes the fact that hemoglobin in blood flowing in a vein has a large attenuation (absorption) rate (wavelength-dependent characteristic) with respect to the wavelength of near-infrared light.
In conventional contact-type fingerprint authentication devices, for example, there is a problem that a fingerprint pattern remains on the contact surface of a transmissive plate with which a finger is brought into contact, and a problem of hygiene and user psychological resistance because other people also contact the transmissive plate. Or, when moisture such as sweat adheres to the transmission plate, there is a problem that the scattered light from the finger changes and the contrast of the fingerprint pattern is lowered.
It is known that various problems in this contact type fingerprint authentication apparatus can be solved by using a non-contact type fingerprint authentication apparatus that performs non-contact imaging of a fingerprint pattern. Further, even in the case of a non-contact type fingerprint authentication device, for example, when performing non-contact type fingerprint authentication using a light source in a near infrared light or red wavelength region and an image sensor having a sensitivity region at that wavelength, An image in which the fingerprint pattern and the vein pattern are superimposed is captured. For this, by smoothing the superimposed image data, the fingerprint pattern with a narrow line width is removed and only the vein pattern remains, and the fingerprint pattern is obtained in the difference image obtained by subtracting the vein pattern image from the original superimposed image. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
Furthermore, when a fingerprint authentication device is used for a counterfeit finger produced by imitating a fingerprint pattern, there is a problem that the fingerprint pattern of the counterfeit finger may be authenticated. In addition, even a conventional vein authentication device has a possibility of authenticating a vein pattern of a forged finger when a forged finger (hand) manufactured by imitating the vein pattern of a finger (or hand) is used. There was a problem that.
Regarding the problem that this authentication device authenticates a counterfeit manufactured by imitating the pattern, for example, when authenticating the iris pattern of the eye, the pupil diameter size of the iris changes according to the change in the amount of irradiation light In order to change the amount of light to be irradiated in two steps, or to change the amount of light to be irradiated, using the characteristic of contracting when changing to the large light amount side and expanding when changing to the small light amount side A method for detecting an iris forgery by using two types of light sources is known (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
However, the conventional personal identification device for authenticating the fingerprint pattern or the finger or hand vein pattern does not have the characteristic that the shape of the finger or hand changes depending on the amount of light to be irradiated. It has been impossible to apply a method for detecting counterfeit according to the change in the amount of light.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and is a counterfeit determination imaging apparatus for detecting counterfeit used for a personal identification apparatus for authenticating a fingerprint pattern or a vein pattern of a finger or hand, or the like. Embodiment 1 FIG.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a basic configuration of a personal identification device according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention.
The illumination means 1 for personal identification irradiates the
The
The

FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example of the arrangement of the color filters of the solid-
FIG. 3 shows a general configuration example in which primary color filters of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) are arranged in a Bayer array (G is a checkered pattern and R and B are line-sequentially). Show. The configuration of the color filter and the pixel may be a honeycomb array as well as the Bayer array shown in FIG.
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of spectral sensitivity characteristics of the color filter of the solid-
The horizontal axis of FIG. 4 is the wavelength (nm) of incident light, and the vertical axis is the light receiving sensitivity output (relative sensitivity). The characteristic of the color filter with the dotted line having the peak at the smaller wavelength is the characteristic of the color filter of B, the characteristic of the one-dot chain line with the peak at the middle is the characteristic of the color filter of G, and the characteristic of the solid line with the peak at the larger wavelength is R. This is a characteristic of the color filter. In the personal authentication device according to the present embodiment, the contrast of the fingerprint pattern or vein pattern of the subject 2 is detected by using the near-infrared light transmission characteristics and absorption characteristics of the
偽造判定用照明手段5は、例えば、蛍光灯、ハロゲンランプ、可視光域のLED(Light Emitting Diode:例えば、R、G、B単色のLEDや白色LED)、レーザ光源等である。
The forgery
In order to use image data obtained by photoelectrically converting reflected light or scattered light from the surface of the subject 2 by the solid-
In the present embodiment, the forgery
For example, the

As a storage medium that can be used as the
The types of data registered in the data recording means 7a or the database include feature point data such as fingerprint patterns and vein patterns, L * a * b * values related to the skin color of the subject 2, and values (registered data) related to the skin color. The lighting conditions (color temperature, illuminance), etc. at the time of registration are recorded. Further, instead of the L * a * b * value, the XYZ tristimulus value or the RGB output of the white balance control means 12 may be recorded.
In the data recording means 7a, for example, a value for identifying at least the skin color of the image data when the body characteristic part is imaged by visible light is recorded in advance. Specifically, the average value (APL) of the luminance signal level of each color (at least green) and the integrated value of each color (at least green) for each divided area from the image data irradiated by the irradiation light of the forgery determination illumination means 5 In addition, at least a value used for personal identification processing is recorded in advance among the image data of the body characteristic portion when imaged by the irradiation light of the personal identification illumination unit 1. When the skin color matching determination result SD from the imaging processing means 6 indicates a match, for example, the personal identification processing means 7 turns off the forgery determination lighting means 5 and turns on the personal identification lighting means 1. However, this is not performed when the skin color matching determination result SD does not indicate matching. Further details will be described later with reference to FIG.
FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing an internal configuration of the imaging processing means 6 in the personal identification device of FIG.
The detailed configuration and function of the imaging processing means 6 will be described below with reference to FIG. In addition, about the part which has the same function as FIG. 1, the same code | symbol is provided and description is abbreviate | omitted.
The analog signal processing means 8 receives an image pickup signal (analog RGB signal) output from the solid-state
The A / D conversion unit 9 receives the A / D conversion clock PC output from the timing generation unit 11 and the analog RGB signal after the gain (gain) is corrected by the analog signal processing unit 8. Sampling is performed by the A / D conversion clock PC, and an A / D conversion output SA (hereinafter also referred to as a digital RGB signal SA) is output. The resolution of the A / D conversion means 9 is sufficient if it has a resolution of 8 bits in a general display device or the like, but in this embodiment, the color detection capability and gradation by the signal processing means 10 in the subsequent stage. A / D resolution of 10 bits or more is required in consideration of improvement of each problem of correction capability and S / N ratio, and detection of a minute contrast and securing a dynamic range.
The signal processing means 10 includes an A / D conversion output (digital RGB signal) SA output from the A / D conversion means 9, a white balance control signal CD output from the control means 12, and data of the personal identification processing means 7. A value DT for identifying the skin color of the image data when the body characteristic portion recorded in advance in the recording means 7a is imaged with visible light is input, and the average luminance value SB of the R and G pixels, RGB RGB color integrated value SF (R ratio of R and B integrated values to G for each divided region) with respect to the integrated value of G for each divided region, and digital RGB signal SC after gradation is corrected in addition to white balance Then, a skin color match determination result signal SD is output. The
The
The timing generation means 11 receives the drive pulse switching control signal CA from the control means 12 and receives various pulses for timing adjustment (drive pulse PA, sample hold pulse PB) in order to synchronize all the parts related to the operation of the imaging processing means 6. , An A / D conversion clock and a vertical synchronization signal PD).
The timing generation unit 11 supplies, for example, the following pulses (a) to (e) as drive pulses PA to the solid-
(A) Horizontal transfer pulses for driving the
(B) Vertical transfer pulses for realizing charge transfer in the vertical CCD 17 (for example, four types of drive pulses different from φV1, φV2, φV3, and φV4 in the case of four-layer drive).
(C) A gate transfer pulse (φTG) for reading out charges from the
(D) A substrate pulse (φSUB) for realizing an electronic shutter.
(E) A reset gate pulse (φRG) for resetting the pixel charge.
Further, the timing generation means 11 supplies the analog RGB signal and a pulse for sampling and holding the black level (sample hold pulse PB) to cause the analog RGB signal to be subjected to CDS processing on the analog RGB signal. To do. Further, the timing generation unit 11 supplies the A / D conversion clock PC to the A / D conversion unit 9 and supplies the vertical synchronization signal PD to the
Further, the timing generation means 11 can switch and output each pulse (drive pulse) described above by the drive pulse switching control signal CA from the control means 12. For example, it is possible to switch each pulse (drive pulse) for all pixel readout for reading out charge signals of all pixels from the solid-state
The control means 12 receives the solid-
Further, the control means 12 controls (adjusts) the white balance based on the result of the integrating
Hereinafter, each signal output from the
The lighting switching control signal CB for personal identification and the lighting switching control signal CC for forgery determination are respectively used for individually turning on / flashing / turning off and “illuminance” of the lighting means 1 for personal identification and the lighting means 5 for forgery determination. It is a signal for controlling corresponding to personal identification processing.
The white balance control signal CD is a function unit (white balance control means 20 described later) that controls the white balance in the signal processing means 10 from the average luminance value SB of the R and G pixels from the signal processing means 10. It is a signal for controlling corresponding to a personal identification procedure.
The gain control signal CF is amplified by an amplifying means (not shown) included in the analog signal processing means 8 by the control means 12 so as to correspond to a signal proportional to the imaging signal such as the A / D conversion signal SA. This is a signal in which the value of the gain to be set is set. In the signal processing means 10, for example, the average luminance value SB of the R pixel and the G pixel of the green signal and the luminance signal is obtained and sent to the control means 12, and the control means 12 averages the average luminance value of the R pixel and the G pixel. The gain control signal CF is set so that the exposure condition is detected from the SB and the optimum gain (gain) is obtained.
Further, the drive pulse switching control signal CA, the personal identification lighting switching control signal CB, the counterfeit judgment lighting switching control signal CC, and the white balance control signal CD, which are output from the control means 12, are supplied with timing generating means. 11 can be controlled in frame synchronization with the vertical synchronization signal PD from the frame 11. In the frame-synchronized control, for example, turn-off / light-on control of the personal identification lighting means using the personal identification lighting switching control signal CB, gain control of the analog signal processing means 8, and the like can be performed. Note that control signals that do not require frame synchronization can be controlled without frame synchronization.
The personal identification processing means 7 performs, for example, the following processing based on the digital RGB signal SC after gradation correction subjected to signal processing by the signal processing means 10.
(F) a process of detecting and cutting out an image area necessary for extracting the first feature point (for example, detecting and processing a finger image area to extract a fingerprint pattern as the first feature point); ,
(G) Normalization processing of the cut-out image (for example, processing for normalizing image size, luminance variation, inclination of the subject 2, etc.), processing for extracting the first feature point (for example, cut-out normalization) Extract a feature point or feature quantity such as a fingerprint pattern or vein pattern from the converted image, determine whether the extracted image is appropriate, and if it is not appropriate, perform processing such as image cutting again .)When,
(H) Collation processing (feature data registered in the data recording means 7a or other database and the data of the detected first feature point are compared and collated to determine whether or not they match the registered feature data. To do.)
In the present embodiment, the processing of the personal identification processing means 7 is controlled based on the skin color match determination result SD output from the signal processing means 10 (color processing means 23 described later). When the registered skin color matches the detected skin color, the personal

積算結果は、予め設定された撮像画面の1画面をn×m(nは画面水平方向の分割数、mは垂直方向の分割数:n、mは正の整数)に分割した窓(分割領域)毎に求めることができる。

The color processing means 23 of the present embodiment roughly performs the following five processes.
(A) Process for converting RGB output to XYZ3 stimulus value (B) Process for converting XYZ3 stimulus value to L * a * b * value (C) Process for extracting skin color / lighting data of registered data (D) Processing for correcting detected skin color based on lighting conditions (E) Processing for outputting registration data and corrected / matched skin color result
The processes from (A) to (E) will be described below.
Processes (A) and (B) are processes for performing a matrix operation on the digital RGB signal output from the white balance control means 20 (digital RGB signal in which the white balance of the subject 2 on which the personal identification process is performed) is adjusted. is there.
As a result of the calculation, an XYZ3 stimulus value and an L * a * b * value are obtained.
The process (C) is a process of reading registration data from the data recording means 7a of the personal identification device 7 (or a recording medium connected to the personal identification device 7). In this process, data relating to skin color and data relating to lighting conditions at the time of obtaining the data are extracted.
The process (D) is a process for correcting the detected skin color based on the illumination condition. The illumination state of the forgery
登録データのL*a*b*値を例えばL*1、a*1、b*1とし、補正後のL*a*b*値を例えばL*2、a*2、b*2として、補正後のL*a*b*値(L*2、a*2、b*2)が、以下の肌色の条件を示す(1)式を満足する場合に、一般的な肌色の範囲に含まれると判断する。
L*2>A かつ |a*2−b*2|>B ・・・(1)
The process (E) is a process for outputting a result of whether or not the skin color corrected in the process (D) matches the skin color of the registered data (non-match).
For example, L * a * b * values of registered data are L * 1, a * 1, b * 1, and L * a * b * values after correction are L * 2, a * 2, b * 2, for example. If the corrected L * a * b * value (L * 2, a * 2, b * 2) satisfies the following skin color condition (1), it is included in the general skin color range. Judge that
L * 2> A and | a * 2-b * 2 |> B (1)
However, the constants A and B are numerical values obtained statistically based on experimental results.
Further, the determination condition shown in the equation (1) indicates a condition that is relatively easy to be hardware, but may be a condition that uses a statistical distance measure.
α1 <= L*1/L*2 <= α2 ・・・(2)
Subsequently, when the expression (1) is satisfied, it is determined that L * 2 is included in the variation range when the expression (2) indicating the following variation range is satisfied.
α1 ≦ L * 1 / L * 2 ≦ α2 (2)
Here, α1 and α2 are numerical values obtained statistically based on the experimental results.
In addition, α1 and α2 shown in the equation (2) are set in consideration of illumination variations, physical condition of the subject 2, and variations in the detection image sensor.
Similar to the above L * 2 value, the a * 2 value and the b * 2 value also have a relational expression that takes into account the variation similar to the expression (2). It can be determined that it is included.
From the above, the corrected L * a * b * values (L * 2, a * 2, b * 2) are all within a predetermined variation range with respect to the registered data (L * 1, a * 1, b * 1). If it is within the range, it can be determined that the skin colors are the same.
In this way, the
Further, the color processing means 23 outputs the skin color match determination result SD obtained by determining the skin color of the subject 2 to the personal identification processing means 7. In the personal identification processing means 7, when the skin color matching determination result SD indicates a match, the forgery determination illumination means 5 that has been turned on is switched off so that the personal identification lighting means 1 is turned on, and personal identification processing is performed. To implement. That is, the skin color match determination result SD also functions as an illumination switching control signal. In the present embodiment, the skin color match determination result SD is output as described above. However, for example, the color determination result itself is supplied to the personal identification processing means 7, and the color coordinates in the personal identification processing means 7 are supplied. It is also possible to determine whether or not the skin colors match by comparing with the data stored in the registered data.
The
L=Y
H=arctan(V/U)
S=(U×U+V×V)1/2 ・・・(3)
但し、
Y=0.299R+0.587G+0.114B
U=B−Y
V=R−Y
As described above, the reflected light of the subject 2 irradiated by the irradiation light of the forgery
L = Y
H = arctan (V / U)
S = (U × U + V × V) 1/2 (3)
However,
Y = 0.299R + 0.587G + 0.114B
U = BY
V = R−Y
(However, H: Hue, S: Saturation, L: Lightness, Y: Luminance, R: Red output value, G: Green output value, B: Blue output value)
The color determination unit 23b determines whether or not the image color detected by the color detection unit 23a is identified by a value for identifying the skin color of the image data recorded in the
Alternatively, the determination condition of hue H and saturation S for skin color determination may be switched using an average value of G (green).
In a state where the average value of G is high (close to white saturation) or a state where the average value of G is low (dark), etc., there is a high possibility that the chroma suppression process will be performed, and therefore erroneous determination is likely. In order to prevent erroneous discrimination, it can be dealt with by relaxing discrimination conditions. It is also possible to generate a warning that the conditions are strict and the illuminance is dark and cannot be determined.
In this embodiment, the digital RGB signal SA after the white balance is adjusted is used. For example, when gains of each color in white balance control are input, the A / D conversion means Using the output (digital RGB signal SA in which the white balance is not adjusted), the skin color of the subject 2 may be detected and determined in consideration of the gain of each color.
The personal identification luminance level detection means 26 uses the integrated value of R (red) pixels (or pixels with high red sensitivity) from the RGB color integrated values SF for each divided area of the integrating
The forgery determination luminance
The output of the personal identification luminance level detection means 26 and the output of the counterfeit determination luminance level detection means 27 are input to the control means 12 as an average luminance value SB of R and G pixels.

FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating an example of the case where the personal identification process is performed after the forgery determination process by the personal identification device illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 5. Note that the imaging processing shown in the processing steps S3 and S7 in the drawing will be described in more detail later with reference to FIG.
The personal identification processing means 7 determines whether or not an identification processing start request from a user (not shown) has been received. Alternatively, it is detected whether or not a body-specific feature portion used for biometric personal authentication such as a finger or a palm is placed at a predetermined detection position. That is, the personal identification processing means 7 determines whether or not personal identification processing has been started (S1). For example, when a start request is received or a characteristic part unique to the body is arranged at a predetermined detection position (S1: YES), the personal identification processing means 7 starts the personal identification processing for the control means 12. That is, the fact that the forgery determination process may be started is notified by the imaging operation switching signal CE. When there is no start request or when the characteristic part is not arranged at the detection position (S1: NO), the personal identification processing means 7 repeats the process of step S1 again.
Upon receiving this notification, the control means 12 turns on the forgery determination illumination means 5 and sets the exposure condition of the analog signal processing means 8 to a mode in which skin color is detected by visible light, that is, a forgery determination mode (S2). 8 is used to perform an imaging process to be described later (S3).
The color processing means 23 in the signal processing means 10 detects the skin color from the imaged result and compares it with the skin color registration data read from the data recording means 7a (S4).
If the detected skin color matches the skin color of the registered data (S5: YES), the color processing means 23 outputs the skin color match determination result SD indicating the match to the personal identification processing means 7, and the personal identification processing means 7 The imaging means switching signal CE notifies the control means 12 that the detected skin color matches the registered data, that is, the personal identification process may be started.
(S8)。 The control means 12 receives the imaging operation switching signal CE indicating that the personal identification processing may be started, and switches the illumination so that the forgery determination illumination means 5 is turned off and the personal identification illumination means 1 is turned on. At the same time, the exposure condition of the analog signal processing means 8 is set to a mode in which a fingerprint pattern or vein pattern is detected by near-infrared light, that is, a personal identification mode (S6), and an imaging process described later with reference to FIG. 8 is performed (S7). ). Thereafter, the control means 12 performs personal identification processing by performing signal processing such as matching of a fingerprint pattern or vein pattern based on data obtained by imaging a characteristic part unique to the body (S8).
FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating an example of the imaging process of FIG.
In the control means 12, the operation by the imaging operation switching signal CE from the personal identification processing means 7 of the personal identification device is in a mode in which the personal identification process is started, that is, in the mode in which the forgery determination process ends and the personal identification process is performed. (S10).
(S13)。 When the personal identification mode is set (S10: YES), the control means 12 detects the APL of R from the average luminance value (APL) SB of the R and G pixels from the signal processing means 10 (S11). Based on the APL of R, an exposure condition suitable for personal identification processing is set, and a gain control signal CF reflecting the exposure condition is sent to the analog signal processing means 8 (S12). Thereafter, the control means 12 captures a body-specific feature portion used for biometric personal authentication in the personal identification mode (S13).
On the other hand, when the personal identification mode is not set (S10: NO), the
In the above description, for convenience of explanation, the processing in FIG. 7 and the processing in FIG. 8 have been described separately. However, the actual processing may be implemented by combining the processing in FIG. 7 and FIG. First, the personal identification mode in steps S6, S7, S11 and S12 will be described. The personal identification mode is a process for detecting the transmitted light of the subject 2 using the lighting means 1 for personal identification. Since the transmitted light is used, only the signal component from the red wavelength region to the near infrared wavelength region is used. Therefore, data exists only in the light receiving element located at the R (red) pixel in FIG. 3 (for example, when the
The signal processing means 10 detects an R pixel value (integrated value) from the RGB color integrated values SF for each divided region, and performs an operation of dividing by the number of pixels of the light receiving element, thereby obtaining an average luminance level (APL: Average Picture). Level) is detected, and the average luminance value SB of the R pixel is output to the control means 12. Then, the control means 12 determines the exposure condition based on the average luminance value SB of the R pixel from the signal processing means 10, the timing generation means 11 (electronic shutter control), the analog signal processing means 8 (gain control), and the personal The identification illumination means 1 (illuminance control) is controlled.
By using data of only R pixels, the dynamic range of the R output can be secured, and there is an effect of improving the S / N of the R signal and improving the contrast of the
Next, the forgery determination mode in steps S2, S3, S14, and S12 will be described. The forgery determination mode is a process of detecting reflected light and scattered light of the subject 2 using the forgery determination illumination means 5 and uses reflected light and scattered light. Data also exists in the light receiving element located in the (blue) pixel and the light receiving element located in the G (green) pixel. Accordingly, not only the R color signal but also the B color signal and the G color signal exist.
Therefore, the signal processing means 10 detects the G pixel value (integrated value) equivalent to the luminance signal in the Bayer array from the RGB color integrated values SF for each divided region, and performs an operation of dividing by the number of pixels of the light receiving element. Thus, an average luminance level (APL) is detected, and an average luminance value SB of G pixels is output. The control means 12 determines the exposure condition based on the average luminance value SB of the G pixel from the signal processing means 10, the timing generation means 11 (electronic shutter control), the analog signal processing means 8 (gain control), The identification illumination means 1 (illuminance control) is controlled.

As described above, in the present embodiment, a forgery determination imaging device for detecting a forgery used in a personal identification device for authenticating a fingerprint pattern or a finger or hand vein pattern, or a personal identification including such a forgery determination imaging device. As described above, in the personal identification device according to the present embodiment, in addition to the effects of the first embodiment, the color reproducibility of the received visible light is reduced without reducing the accuracy of detecting feature points such as fingerprint patterns and vein patterns. It is possible to improve the accuracy of detecting the color and discriminating the skin color.

より具体的には、本実施の形態では、図4のカラーフィルタの一部のG(例えばベイヤー配列における輝度データを得るためのG)に代えてNIR(Near Infra Red)と記載した画素が配置されている。
