Abstract
Description
The present invention provides a holographic recording medium in which various types of data are two-dimensionally imaged and recorded as element holograms, particularly data from a hologram recording medium in which the element holograms are angle-multiplexed recorded by using recording reference beams having different irradiation angles. The present invention relates to a hologram reproducing apparatus to be reproduced, and also relates to a hologram data reading unit and an imager unit that can be used in the hologram reproducing apparatus.
As an example of recording information on a sheet-like recording medium, a one-dimensional code or a two-dimensional code represented by a bar code, a QR code, a dot code, and the like can be given. However, these information recording media have an extremely low amount of information that can be recorded per unit area, on the order of several tens to several kilobytes. This is because there is a physical limit to the recording resolution of simple image density printing.
Similarly, as a sheet-like recording medium, a hologram recording medium that records various data by interference fringes of object light and reference light is also known. It is also known that the hologram recording medium can dramatically increase the recording density and can be significantly increased in capacity, for example, for computer data, AV (Audio-Visual) content data such as audio and video, etc. It is considered useful as a large-capacity storage medium.
When data is recorded on the hologram recording medium, the data is imaged as two-dimensional page data. Then, the two-dimensional image data is displayed on a liquid crystal panel or the like, and the hologram recording medium is irradiated with object light, that is, object light that becomes an image of two-dimensional page data, through the light transmitted through the liquid crystal panel. In addition, the hologram recording medium is irradiated with recording reference light from a predetermined angle. At this time, interference fringes generated by the object light and the recording reference light are recorded as one element hologram such as a dot shape or a strip shape. That is, one element hologram records data as one two-dimensional image.
In order to read information from the hologram memory, the reproduction reference light emitted from a reproduction reference light source such as a semiconductor laser (laser diode) is converted into parallel light by the irradiation optical system and irradiated to the element hologram. At this time, since the reproduced image light of the recorded two-dimensional image is reproduced from the element hologram, the reproduced image light is recorded on the element hologram by forming an image on the imager (imaging device unit) by the imaging optical system. Data can be read out.
Further, there is a method called angle multiplex recording for increasing the capacity of the hologram memory. This is a method of overwriting different data for each angle while changing the angle of the recording reference light at the same position on the hologram memory. At the time of reading, it is the same as that at the time of recording depending on the angle of the reproduction reference light to be irradiated. Only the two-dimensional image recorded with the angle recording reference light is separated and reproduced.
Here, for example, a sheet-like hologram memory is considered, computer data and AV content data are recorded, and a general user can acquire data recorded in the hologram memory by using a reproducing device as a hologram reader. Think of a system.
The sheet-shaped hologram memory is a recording that records a large number of element holograms on a plane as a medium surface, and data recorded as each element hologram with the hologram reader facing the medium surface. Is to be read.
And when the hologram memory is the above-mentioned angle multiplexed recording, the hologram reader side corresponds to the recording reference beams of a plurality of different angles used at the time of recording, in the same state as those angles, It is necessary to be able to irradiate the reproduction reference light.
For example, when recording is performed with angle-multiplexed recording using three types of recording reference beams at the irradiation angles θA, θB, and θC at the time of recording, the hologram reader side also uses the reproduction reference light at each of the irradiation angles θA, θB, and θC. It is necessary to be able to irradiate.
In order to change the angle of the reproduction reference light in this way, it is necessary to provide a mechanism for changing the position of the reference light source in the hologram reader, and there is a problem in increasing the size and cost of the apparatus. In addition, moving the reference light source or the mirror by a mechanical mechanism in order to change the angle of the reproduction reference light requires time for the operation, and increases the time required for data reading.
Therefore, the present invention solves such problems in a reproducing apparatus for a hologram recording medium recorded by angle multiplexing, and realizes a simpler structure, and particularly saves space and reduces costs in a reading unit in the reproducing apparatus. It aims at realizing.

In addition, a reflection unit or a diffraction unit is provided in a region that does not block the light beam guided to the effective region of the imaging element unit in the effective region of the imaging optical system, and the light beam from a plurality of reference light sources is transmitted by the reflection unit. The image forming plane and the plurality of reference light sources are positioned on a conjugate plane by diffracting by a reflection or diffraction section.

The imager unit of the present invention includes a plurality of reference light sources that are selectively driven to irradiate elemental holograms formed on a hologram recording medium with reproduction reference light having different irradiation angles, and reproduction reference light. An image pickup element portion that receives reproduced image light generated by irradiation of the element hologram and converts it into an electrical signal is enclosed in a package.
The hologram reproducing device of the present invention is a hologram recording medium in which data is two-dimensionally imaged, the object light of the two-dimensional image and the recording reference light are interfered, and the data is recorded as an element hologram by interference fringes, The hologram reproducing apparatus reproduces data from a hologram recording medium on which the element hologram is angle-multiplexed recorded by using recording reference beams having different irradiation angles. A plurality of reference light sources that are selectively driven to emit reproduction reference light having different irradiation angles with respect to the element hologram that is angle-multiplexed on the hologram recording medium; and an element hologram of the reproduction reference light An imaging optical system for forming a reproduced image light generated by irradiation on the imaging surface, and an image sensor that converts the reproduced image light into an electrical signal, with the light receiving surface positioned on the imaging surface And signal processing means for performing signal processing on the two-dimensional image obtained by the imaging element unit and decoding data recorded as the element hologram.
The imaging optical system is shared as an irradiation optical system for the reproduction reference light, and the plurality of reference light sources are arranged on a plane conjugate with the imaging plane.
The hologram reproducing apparatus performs an operation of decoding a two-dimensional image read from an element hologram on a hologram recording medium and acquiring decoded data. By performing this operation on a large number of element holograms, The decoded data from each element hologram is collected, and the decoded data is reconstructed, whereby reproduction data such as content data recorded on the hologram recording medium can be obtained.
When the hologram recording medium is one in which angle multiplexing recording is performed, it is necessary that the hologram data reading unit in this hologram reproducing apparatus can irradiate the hologram recording medium with reproduction reference light at a plurality of different angles. At this time, if a plurality of reference light sources are arranged and switched, it is possible to irradiate the reproduction reference light at a plurality of angles without providing a complicated light source moving mechanism.
Here, in order to further improve the efficiency of the configuration and reduce the size and cost, it is possible to share the imaging optical system as the irradiation optical system without providing the reproduction reference light irradiation optical system independently. Is effective.
An imaging optical system that forms a reproduction light image for reproducing a hologram generated by Fourier transform hologram recording forms a two-dimensional page data image existing at infinity on an imager (imaging device unit). Equivalent to an optical system. For this reason, a point light source such as a laser diode is arranged as a reference light source on the imaging surface of the imaging optical system or its conjugate plane, and the light beam emitted from the light source is traced back through the imaging optical system. Thus, a parallel light beam can be formed on the hologram recording medium. At this time, the angle of the parallel light beam applied to the hologram changes depending on the position of the point light source on the image plane or its conjugate plane. Therefore, a reference light source such as a laser diode is arranged as a plurality of point light sources on the image plane or its conjugate plane, and can be switched at high speed by alternately turning on and off, thereby saving space and low cost angle multiplex readout. An optical system can be realized.
According to the present invention, a plurality of reference light sources are arranged for reading on a hologram recording medium on which angle multiplexing recording is performed, and the angle of the reproduction reference light is switched by turning these on / off. In addition, each reference light source is arranged on the imaging plane and the conjugate plane of the imaging optical system, and the imaging optical system is shared with the reproduction reference light irradiation optical system.
As a result, the angle of the reproduction reference beam can be switched at a high speed, and the space-saving and low-cost hologram data reading unit can be configured. This also reduces the size of the hologram reproduction apparatus. Contribute.
A configuration in which the respective reference light sources are arranged on the imaging surface and the conjugate surface of the imaging optical system and the imaging optical system is shared with the reproduction reference light irradiation optical system can be easily realized by using a beam splitter.
In addition, a reflection unit or a diffraction unit is provided in an effective region of the imaging optical system in a region that does not block the light beam guided to the effective region of the imaging element unit, and the light beams from a plurality of reference light sources are reflected by the reflection unit. Alternatively, if the diffraction part is diffracted, the reproduced image light can be effectively imaged on the image sensor part without loss.
In addition, as an imager unit, the imaging element unit is a semiconductor imaging element enclosed in a package, and a plurality of reference light sources including semiconductor lasers are arranged in the package, thereby further reducing cost and space. Is possible.

撮像素子部5は、例えばCCD(Charge Coupled Device)、CMOS(Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor)等の固体撮像素子によるイメージセンサによって構成され、結像光学系4を介して入射した再生像光L5を受光し、電気信号としての撮像信号を出力する。

For example, various types of recordable discs such as CD (Compact Disc), DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), Blu-Ray Disc (trademark), and Mini Disc are available as recording media. Conceivable. When these discs are used as recording media, the media drive performs encoding processing, error correction code processing, compression processing, or the like corresponding to the disc type, and records data on the disc.
Further, a hard disk is also assumed as a recording medium, and in this case, the media drive is configured as a so-called HDD (hard disk drive).
Furthermore, the recording medium can be realized as a portable memory card with a built-in solid-state memory or a built-in solid-state memory. In that case, the media drive is configured as a recording device unit for the memory card or the built-in solid-state memory, and necessary signals Process and record data.

またホログラムメモリ3上では、角度多重記録された要素ホログラムh(図8の場合は図5のように2重記録された要素ホログラムhA、hB)を模式的に示している。
First, a first configuration example of the
In FIG. 8 (and FIGS. 9 to 17 described later), the optical path of the reproduction reference light L4 from the reference light source is indicated by a solid line, and the reproduction image light L5 from the element hologram h irradiated with the reproduction reference light is shown. The optical path is indicated by a dotted line. Further, on the

For example, when the
According to such a
Next, a second configuration example of the
As shown in FIG. 9, the
The
FIG. 10 shows an optical path of the reproduction reference light L4A when the
When the
As shown in FIG. 11, when the
Further, as shown in FIG. 12, when the
The imaging
The positions of the
As can be seen from FIG. 13, the angle of the parallel light beam applied to the hologram varies depending on the position of the point light source on the image plane or its conjugate plane. Accordingly, by arranging a plurality of point light sources (laser diodes) on the conjugate plane of the imaging plane as shown in FIG. 12 and alternately turning them on / off, the angle of the reproduction reference light can be switched at high speed. Furthermore, since the imaging
In angle multiplexing recording, it is conceivable not only to change the angle for each recording reference beam but also to change the wavelength.
That is, at the time of angle multiplex recording of the
For such a
By changing not only the irradiation angle but also the wavelength, the mutual crosstalk components are greatly reduced when reading the element holograms hA, hB, and hC during reproduction, which is advantageous for high-precision data reading. Become.
FIG. 14 shows a third configuration example of the
The configuration shown in FIG. 14A is almost the same as that shown in FIG. 9, but there are nine
The surface of the
Therefore, the arrangement of nine laser light sources on the two-dimensional plane means that the reproduction reference light with nine kinds of angles θA, θB, θC... ΘI can be irradiated.
That is, the
The example in which the
When recording reference light having different wavelengths is used during angle multiplex recording, the two-dimensionally arranged laser light sources as shown in FIG. 14 are light sources having different wavelengths.
Next, a fourth configuration example of the
The
The reflecting
In the
When the

It should be noted that the same effect can be obtained even if the diffractive portion is arranged at the same position in place of the reflecting
