Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an X-ray tube of a type that emits X-rays generated by making electrons emitted from an electron gun enter a target.
However, in this type of X-ray tube, an exhaust port for evacuation is formed on the inner wall surface of the casing to which the exhaust tube is attached, and the edge of the exhaust port serves as a boundary with the inner wall surface. An edge will appear. When a high potential difference is generated between the anode and the casing during driving, the electric field between the anode and the casing is disturbed due to the influence of this end portion. There is an increased possibility that a discharge will occur between the tip portion. However, in the X-ray tube, no measures are taken for suppressing such discharge, and there is a possibility that the problem of instability of X-ray output due to discharge may occur.
Then, an object of this invention is to provide the X-ray tube which can suppress the discharge in the front-end | tip part of an anode.
An X-ray tube according to the present invention is an X-ray tube that irradiates an X-ray generated by making electrons emitted from an electron gun enter an anode target, and defines an internal space that accommodates the tip of the anode. A housing formed, an irradiation window provided in the housing for extracting X-rays generated by the target to the outside of the housing, and an exhaust port provided on the inner wall surface of the housing for exhausting the internal space And an X-ray generator having a conductive shield provided so as to hide the exhaust port from the tip of the anode.
In this X-ray tube, an exhaust port is provided on the inner wall surface of the housing of the X-ray generator. Even when the end portion appears as a boundary between the edge portion of the exhaust port and the inner wall surface of the housing, in this X-ray tube, the exhaust port is hidden from the tip of the anode by the shielding portion. Disturbance of the electric field between the anode and the edge of the exhaust port is alleviated, and discharge at the tip of the anode can be suppressed.
In addition, as a specific configuration of the shielding part for effectively achieving the above-described action, the shielding part is located between the tip of the anode and the exhaust port and is formed to be larger than the exhaust port. A configuration in which a gap is formed between the inner wall surface on the exhaust port side of the body is mentioned. According to such a configuration, the end portion can be reliably covered, and at the time of manufacturing the X-ray tube, the gap between the shielding portion and the inner wall surface on the exhaust port side can be used as an air passage to Vacuuming can be performed.
In addition, a gap may be formed between the shielding portion and the inner wall surface on the irradiation window side of the housing. According to such a configuration, when manufacturing the X-ray tube, the internal space can be evacuated by using the gap between the shielding portion and the inner wall surface on the irradiation window side as a passage for air.
Moreover, it is preferable that the shielding part is provided with a plurality of communication holes. By adopting such a configuration, when the internal space is evacuated at the time of manufacture, the communication hole serves as a passage for air from the internal space, so that efficient evacuation can be performed.
Moreover, it is preferable that the surface of the shielding part facing the tip part of the anode is formed flush with a part of the inner wall surface of the housing. With such a configuration, the surface of the shielding part and the inner wall surface of the housing can be smoothly continued, so that the disturbance of the electric field is alleviated and the discharge at the tip of the anode can be further suppressed.
The shielding portion is provided so as to close the exhaust port, and a plurality of communication holes are formed. The surface of the shielding portion facing the tip portion of the anode faces the inner wall surface on the exhaust port side of the housing. It is preferable that they are formed in one. According to such an X-ray tube, since the shielding portion that closes the exhaust port is formed flush with the inner wall surface of the casing in which the exhaust port is formed, an end portion appears at the edge of the exhaust port. Therefore, the disturbance of the electric field between the tip of the anode and the exhaust port is alleviated, and as a result, the discharge at the tip of the anode is suppressed. And since the communicating hole formed in the shielding part becomes a passage for air, it is possible to perform evacuation of the internal space at the time of manufacture without any problem.
According to the X-ray tube of the present invention, discharge at the tip of the anode can be suppressed.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of an X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the first to fourth embodiments described below, the same or equivalent elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted.
(First embodiment)
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the X-ray tube 1 </ b> A is an electron incident site (X-ray generation site) provided at the
The
In order to make the internal space R into a vacuum state, an
Such an
Thus, during driving, a high voltage is applied to the
Therefore, in the
In the
(Second Embodiment)
Subsequently, a second embodiment of the X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described. The
The
In the
(Third embodiment)
Subsequently, a third embodiment of the X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described. The
Even with such a
(Fourth embodiment)
Subsequently, a fourth embodiment of the X-ray tube according to the present invention will be described. The
If such a
