Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a roll used as a fixing roll or a pressure roll for, for example, an electronic copying machine or a laser printer.
This type of roll consists of a core rod body and a rubber layer formed on the outer periphery of the core rod body, and has an outer diameter as a roll shape to prevent the sheet to be pressed from collapsing (from wrinkles). A regular crown shape in which the outer diameter of the central part is larger than the outer diameters of both end parts and an inverted crown shape in which the outer diameter of the central part is smaller than the outer diameters of both end parts is provided. The roll is manufactured by injecting a liquid rubber material in a state where a core rod body is inserted into a cavity of a roll mold, and heating to cure the liquid rubber material to form a rubber layer. It is manufactured by a method of removing from the roll mold.
As a method of releasing the roll from the roll mold, a method of pulling out a roll manufactured from one end of a cavity of the roll mold is generally used. Since it has an inverted crown shape, the difference between the maximum diameter and the minimum diameter becomes an undercut, and the roll cannot be pulled out from the cavity of the roll forming die.
Conventionally, as a countermeasure against roll demolding, there is provided means for dividing a roll mold into a split mold (for example, Patent Document 1). In this method, after the roll is manufactured, the roll mold can be divided and the roll can be taken out. Therefore, even if there is an undercut, demolding is possible.
However, when the mold is divided, a parting line is formed in the product along the boundary line between the divided molds, and the roll surface is not smoothed.
The present invention provides a

Further, as the material of the core rod body 9 and / or the
Further, as the material of the core rod body 9, a material having a smaller linear expansion coefficient than the material of the roll mold 1 is selected, and the roll mold 1 is heated at the time of demolding.
[Action]
In the present invention, the outer periphery of the roll 11 (the outer periphery of the rubber layer 10) is obtained by utilizing the difference between the amount of expansion and / or the amount of heat shrinkage of the roll mold 1 and the core rod 9 and / or the
When the

In the present invention, even a roll having an undercut portion can be removed without using a split mold, and a smooth roll having no parting line on the surface can be produced.
The invention is illustrated in detail in the following on the basis of examples shown in FIGS.
