Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a control device for a vehicle equipped with a traveling battery, and more particularly to an abnormality detection device for a power conversion mechanism that detects an abnormality of a power conversion mechanism that converts power from the traveling battery.
Electric vehicles equipped with a traction motor instead of an engine (including vehicles in which the traction motor is operated by a fuel cell) are being developed and put into practical use, and hybrid vehicles equipped with a traction motor in addition to the engine Has been developed and put into practical use. Such a vehicle includes a traveling battery that outputs driving power to the traveling motor. This traveling battery power source is, for example, a plurality of batteries connected in series, and outputs a high voltage of about 200 to 300 V necessary for driving the motor. In some cases, the battery voltage is further boosted and supplied to the traveling motor.
In addition, even in such a vehicle, as in the case of a general vehicle that uses only an engine as a travel source, as a device that requires electric power, an electronic device (ECU (Electronic Control Unit), a lighting device, an air conditioner) is used. Equipped with auxiliary equipment such as Shona, Power Window, Audio). The electric power supplied to the auxiliary machine cannot be directly supplied from the high-voltage running battery because the operating voltage of the running motor and the auxiliary machine are different. Therefore, as with a general vehicle, an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle is mounted with a battery having a 12V output voltage (often a lead storage battery), and power is supplied to the auxiliary machine.
In a vehicle equipped with such a 12V battery, a DC / DC converter that transforms the voltage value of the DC power may be provided between the traveling battery and the 12V battery. The power of the high voltage battery charged by the power generated by the motor generator during regenerative braking is stepped down and supplied to a 12V auxiliary machine, or the 12V battery is charged.
Such a DC / DC converter includes a self-protection circuit against an abnormality in which the input power is an overcurrent or an overvoltage, and prevents electrical elements in the DC / DC converter from being damaged. Due to this self-protection circuit, the operation of the DC / DC converter is stopped, and it becomes impossible to supply power to the 12V auxiliary machine and to charge the 12V battery. It is desirable to multiplex such fail-safe functions for stopping the operation of the DC / DC converter.
Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2004-229477 (Patent Document 1) discloses a vehicle power supply control device that can easily realize the multiplexing of a fail-safe function in a battery power supply system. The control device includes at least two batteries and a voltage controller that is interposed between the two batteries and converts a battery voltage of at least one battery into a battery voltage of the other battery so as to charge and discharge the battery. Control the power supply. The control device includes power supply system abnormality detection means for detecting an abnormality of the battery power supply system, IG detection means for detecting the state of the ignition switch of the vehicle, detection results of the power supply system abnormality detection means, and detection results of the IG detection means. And a control means for outputting an IG signal for executing conversion of the battery voltage by the voltage controller to the voltage controller.
The self-protection circuit of the DC / DC converter has a function of stopping when the input voltage of the DC / DC converter becomes an overvoltage. At this time, the abnormality detection process is not performed so that the ECU does not detect an abnormal operation of the DC / DC converter. Normally, the ECU monitors the input voltage to the inverter provided in parallel with the DC / DC converter, and if this voltage (equal to the input voltage of the DC / DC converter) becomes an overvoltage, the abnormality detection of the DC / DC converter is performed. The processing is not performed. However, if the voltage value detected in the DC / DC converter is different from the voltage value detected by the ECU, the ECU is connected to the DC even though the self-protection circuit functions and the DC / DC converter stops. The problem of detecting abnormal operation of the DC converter occurs. For example, when the DC / DC converter detects a voltage of 400V or higher and the self-protection circuit is activated to stop the operation, the ECU is also set not to perform abnormality detection processing of the DC / DC converter at 400V or higher. The above-mentioned problem occurs when the input voltage to the inverter detected by is 300V. At this time, it is determined that the DC / DC converter has an overvoltage abnormality, the ECU determines that there is no overvoltage abnormality, the DC / DC converter stops, and the ECU malfunctions the DC / DC converter (stops due to self-protection). If it is not recognized, it is determined that it is operating and an abnormality that the output voltage is low despite the operation is detected.
However,
The abnormality detection device according to the first aspect of the invention detects an abnormality of the power conversion mechanism having a self-protection function that stops operation against an excessive voltage value. This abnormality detection device is a detection means for detecting a voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism, an upper limit voltage value corresponding to an excessive voltage value, and is updated based on the detected voltage value. The control means for controlling the voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism using the upper limit voltage value and the self-protection function are exhibited, the upper limit voltage value is not updated, and When the detected voltage value is equal to or lower than a voltage threshold value determined based on the detection accuracy, an abnormality detection means for detecting that the power conversion mechanism is abnormal is included.
According to the first invention, a self-protection circuit provided in a power conversion mechanism such as a DC / DC converter stops its operation against an overvoltage in order to avoid electrical destruction of its own power element or the like. The control means controls the voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism using the upper limit voltage value so that the overvoltage value at which the self-protection circuit operates is not reached. There is no problem in the normal time when the overvoltage value detected by the self-protection circuit and the overvoltage value detected by the detecting means match, but if they do not match, an abnormality is detected as follows. When the upper limit voltage value has not been updated and the detected voltage value is less than or equal to the voltage threshold determined based on the detection accuracy of the detection means, a low voltage separated by more than the tolerance of the detection means is obtained. Nevertheless, the self-protection function that operates at high voltage is working. In spite of the voltage sufficiently lower than the threshold value determined from the detection accuracy of the detection means, it is an abnormal state that the self-protection function is working. There is a high possibility that the power conversion mechanism is not stopped due to its self-protection function but is stopped due to other causes. As a result, it is possible to provide an abnormality detection device for a power conversion mechanism that can accurately detect the occurrence of an abnormality even when the voltage value in the self-protection function and the voltage value detected by the detection means do not match. Can do.
The abnormality detection device according to the second aspect of the invention detects an abnormality of the power conversion mechanism having a self-protection function that stops operation with respect to an excessive voltage value. This abnormality detection device is a detection means for detecting a voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism, an upper limit voltage value corresponding to an excessive voltage value, and is updated based on the detected voltage value. Control means for controlling the voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism using the upper limit voltage value, and when the detected voltage value is higher than a voltage threshold determined based on the detection accuracy, When the updating means for updating the upper limit voltage value and the self-protection function are exhibited, the upper limit voltage value is updated, and the detected voltage value is equal to or lower than the upper limit voltage value, An abnormality detecting means for detecting that the power conversion mechanism is abnormal.
According to the second aspect of the invention, the self-protection circuit provided in the power conversion mechanism such as a DC / DC converter stops the operation in order to avoid electrical destruction of its own power element or the like against an overvoltage. The control means controls the voltage value applied to the power conversion mechanism using the upper limit voltage value so as not to become an overvoltage value at which the self-protection circuit operates. There is no problem in the normal time when the overvoltage value detected by the self-protection circuit and the overvoltage value detected by the detection means match, but if they do not match, an abnormality is detected as follows. When the upper limit voltage value is updated, the self-protection function that operates when the detected voltage value is equal to or lower than the updated (decreased) upper limit voltage value is high. is working. In spite of a voltage lower than the updated upper limit voltage value, it is abnormal that the self-protection function is working. Can do.

In the following description, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals. Their names and functions are also the same. Therefore, detailed description thereof will not be repeated.
With reference to FIG. 1, a vehicle equipped with an abnormality detection device for a power conversion mechanism according to an embodiment of the present invention (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as an abnormality detection device) will be described.

The capacitor is connected in parallel to the
The
Furthermore, the
When the power is connected, that is, when the ignition switch position is switched from the OFF position to the STA position via the ACC position and the ON position, the
In addition, including the case where the position of the ignition switch does not have such four positions, the abnormality detection apparatus according to the present embodiment (implemented by a program executed in ECU 600) starts precharging. Then, abnormality detection is executed.
On the other hand, when the position of the ignition switch is switched from the ON position to the OFF position,
The DC /
