Abstract
【解決手段】リチウムイオン二次電池20は、正極活物質にマンガン酸リチウムを用いた正極と、負極活物質に非晶質炭素を用いた負極とがセパレータW5を介して捲回された捲回群6を備えている。捲回群6の捲回中心には、外力が加わったときに、捲回群6の軸線方向と交差する方向に圧縮変形する軸芯1が用いられている。この軸芯1には、可撓性を有するポリプロピレン樹脂製の中空管が用いられている。捲回群6が外力で変形しても、軸芯1が圧縮変形して外力による捲回群の歪みを軽減する。

Description
図1に示すように、本実施形態の円筒型リチウムイオン二次電池20は、ニッケルメッキが施されたスチール製で有底円筒状の電池容器7及び帯状の正負極がセパレータW5を介して断面渦巻状に軸芯1の周りに捲回された捲回群(電極群)6を備えている。
次に、本実施形態のリチウムイオン二次電池20の作用等について説明する。

Claims (5)
- リチウム遷移金属複酸化物を含む正極と、リチウムイオンを吸蔵、放出可能な炭素材を含む負極とが、リチウムイオンを通過可能なセパレータを介して軸芯の周りに捲回された電極群を備えた非水電解液二次電池において、前記軸芯は、外力が加わったときに、前記電極群の軸線方向と交差する方向に圧縮変形することを特徴とする非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記軸芯は、可撓性を有する合成樹脂製の中空管であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記軸芯は、合成樹脂製の発泡体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記中空管の中に、更に合成樹脂製の発泡体が充填されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記中空管の内側に、更に金属製の中空管が挿入されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
