Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a deterioration detection system and a deterioration detection method for an air purification catalyst carried on a radiator of a vehicle.
At present, with increasing interest in the environment, a method for improving air quality by running a vehicle equipped with a radiator carrying a purification catalyst for atmospheric pollutants (eg, ozone) that causes photochemical smog, etc. ( Air purification system) is being studied. By running such a vehicle, the surrounding air is cleaned and the environment is improved.
Since such an air purification system is an emission device, an on-vehicle failure detection system is necessary. For example, an on-vehicle failure detection system that detects that a radiator that does not carry a catalyst is replaced with an ozone purification catalyst. Has been proposed (see Patent Document 1).
This on-vehicle failure detection system disclosed in Patent Document 1 includes a wired anti-titanium paring device (ATD: Anti Tampering Device (hereinafter referred to as ATD)) in a radiator core portion that carries an ozone purification catalyst. It is attached together with a temperature sensor.
This ATD is a specific component part (radiator) of an automobile in which an identification device for identifying the component component (radiator) is attached. This identification device and ECU (electronic control unit) are: They are connected by wire. In the ATD, the ECU confirms whether or not the component is properly incorporated based on data provided from the identification device attached to the component.
However, the failure detection system using the ATD disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a system for confirming the presence or absence of a radiator on which a catalyst is supported, and is not a system that actually detects deterioration of the catalyst. Since the purification performance of the air purification system is not unchanged and decreases with time due to catalyst deterioration, it is desired to construct a deterioration detection system for detecting catalyst deterioration as an accurate failure detection system.
In particular, when the air purification catalyst is supported on a large area such as a radiator, the degree of deterioration of the purification catalyst differs depending on the flow rate and wind speed of the passing air depending on the supported part. For this reason, the entire purification rate cannot be grasped only by measuring a part of the purification rate, and the degree of deterioration of the purification catalyst may be erroneously determined.
The present invention has been made in view of the problems as described above, and an object of the present invention is to provide a deterioration detection system and a deterioration detection method capable of accurately detecting the average degree of deterioration of the entire air purification catalyst carried on the vehicle radiator. Is to provide.
The inventors of the present invention have made extensive studies to solve the above problems. As a result, in a vehicle air purification system having an air purification catalyst carried over a wide range on a vehicle radiator, the air before passing through the radiator is collected to detect the pollutant concentration and pass through multiple parts of the radiator. It was found that the average degree of deterioration of the entire catalyst can be detected with high accuracy by collecting each of the atmospheric air and detecting the concentration of the pollutant, thereby completing the present invention. More specifically, the present invention provides the following.
(1) A system for detecting the deterioration of an air purification catalyst carried on a radiator of a vehicle, wherein the system is disposed upstream of the radiator and collects air before passing through the radiator; and downstream of the radiator Collecting means for collecting each of the air that has been disposed and passed through a plurality of parts of the radiator, and detecting the concentration of pollutants in the air collected by the collecting means and the concentration of contaminants in the air collected by the collecting means And an air purification catalyst deterioration detection system comprising:
The invention of (1) is characterized in that the collection means arranged on the downstream side of the radiator collects the respective air that has passed through the plurality of parts of the radiator and detects the concentration of pollutants in the collected air. . That is, according to the present invention, the air passing through each part of the radiator is collected and sampled in one place, and the pollutant concentration is detected. Therefore, the deterioration degree of the purification catalyst of the entire radiator can be detected by only one sampling. . For this reason, in order to accurately measure the degree of deterioration of the entire purification catalyst carried on each part of the radiator, it is not necessary to arrange a plurality of contaminant concentration detecting means, and cost reduction and weight reduction can be expected.
(2) The deterioration detection system for an air purification catalyst according to (1), wherein the collection means includes branched collection pipes that lead from the detection means to a plurality of sites downstream of the radiator.
The invention of (2) is characterized in that a branched collecting tube that leads from the detecting means to a plurality of parts on the downstream side of the radiator is adopted as the collecting means. As a result, it is possible to sample each of the air that has passed through a plurality of parts, and the degree of deterioration of the entire catalyst can be detected with high accuracy. In addition, by increasing the number of branches of the collection tube, the number of sampling sites is also increased, and the detection accuracy can be further improved.
(3) The collection means includes a first suction device that is disposed on the downstream side of the radiator and sucks air, and a radial rectifying plate that is disposed on the downstream side of the first suction device. One suction device includes a fan, a wind guide plate surrounding the fan, and a drive source that is provided on the wind guide plate and rotationally drives the fan, and the radial rectifying plate is on a rotation axis of the fan. And a radial guide extending radially from the central guide, the central guide having an internal space communicating with the detection means, and each radial guide passes through the radiator. The deterioration detection system for an air purification catalyst according to (1), further comprising a communication passage for introducing the atmospheric air into the internal space.
The invention of (3) is characterized in that a first suction device and a radial rectifying plate are employed as the collecting means. According to the invention of (3), the air sucked through the radiator is first introduced into the central guide and the radial guide by the traveling wind generated when the vehicle travels or by the first suction device. More specifically, when the fan is rotated by the drive source, the air is sucked into the first suction device through the radiator. The sucked air is introduced into the communication passages of the radial guides, and the air introduced into the communication passages is collected in the internal space of the central guide and detected by the detection means. Therefore, it is possible to accurately detect the average degree of deterioration of the entire ozone purification catalyst. Note that by increasing the number of radial guides, the number of sampling sites also increases, and the detection accuracy can be further improved.
(4) The collecting means includes a second suction device that is disposed downstream of the radiator and sucks air, and a horizontal rectifying plate that is disposed between the second suction device and the radiator. The second suction device includes a fan, a wind guide plate surrounding the fan, and a drive source that is provided on the wind guide plate and rotationally drives the fan. A plurality of horizontal guides provided in parallel; and a vertical guide orthogonal to the plurality of horizontal guides, wherein the vertical guide has an internal space communicating with the detection means; The deterioration detection system for an air purification catalyst according to (1), further comprising a communication path for introducing the air that has passed through the radiator into the internal space.
The invention of (4) is characterized in that a second suction device and a horizontal rectifying plate are employed as the collecting means. According to the invention of (4), the air sucked through the radiator is first introduced into the vertical guide and the horizontal guide by the traveling wind generated when the vehicle travels or by the second suction device. More specifically, when the fan is rotated by the driving source, the atmosphere is introduced into the communication path of each horizontal guide through the radiator, and the air introduced into these communication paths is collected in the internal space of the vertical guide and detected. Detected by means. Therefore, it is possible to accurately detect the average degree of deterioration of the entire ozone purification catalyst. Note that by increasing the number of horizontal guides, the number of sampling sites also increases, and the detection accuracy can be further improved.
(5) The degradation detection system for an air purification catalyst according to any one of (1) to (4), wherein the collection unit further includes a flow rate regulator that regulates a flow rate of the atmosphere passing through the radiator.
The invention of (5) is characterized by including a flow rate regulator capable of adjusting the flow rate of the atmosphere passing through the radiator. The degree of deterioration of the catalyst is greatly influenced by the flow rate of the atmosphere passing through the catalyst. As will be described later, in order to detect the exact degree of deterioration of the entire catalyst, the degree of the atmosphere passing through each part of the radiator is It is important to adjust the flow rate. In the present invention, the adjustment is possible, and the average deterioration degree of the entire ozone purification catalyst can be detected with higher accuracy.
(6) The deterioration detection system for an air purification catalyst according to (5), further comprising control means for driving the flow rate adjuster according to the speed of the vehicle and adjusting the flow rate of the air passing through the radiator.
The invention of (6) is characterized by further comprising control means for driving the flow rate regulator in accordance with the speed of the vehicle and adjusting the flow rate of the atmosphere passing through the radiator. For this reason, in the invention of (6), according to the vehicle speed, in the flow regulator, for example, the regulator provided with the regulating valve, the opening degree of the regulating valve can be adjusted, and the amount of air passing through each part of the radiator can be adjusted. The flow rate can be controlled. Therefore, according to the invention of (6), it is possible to accurately detect the average degree of deterioration of the entire ozone purification catalyst without being affected by the vehicle speed.
(7) The collection means further includes a wind speed distribution measuring device that is disposed downstream of the radiator and measures the wind speed distribution of the atmosphere passing through the radiator, and the control means is measured by the wind speed distribution measuring device. The deterioration detection system for an air purification catalyst according to (6), wherein the flow rate regulator is driven in consideration of the wind velocity distribution data of the atmosphere passing through the radiator to adjust the flow rate of the atmosphere passing through the radiator.
The invention of (7) employs a collecting means having a wind speed distribution measuring device, and adjusts the flow rate regulator in consideration of the wind speed distribution data measured by this wind speed distribution measuring device. That is, in addition to the vehicle speed information, the flow rate adjuster is adjusted based on information on the wind speed distribution in each part of the radiator, so that the average degree of deterioration of the entire ozone purification catalyst can be detected with higher accuracy.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the degradation detection system and degradation detection method which can detect the average degradation degree of the whole air purification catalyst carry | supported by the radiator of the vehicle accurately can be provided.

In addition, in description of each embodiment other than 1st embodiment, it abbreviate | omits about description of a structure and effect which are common in 1st embodiment.

[Air purification catalyst]
In this embodiment, an ozone purification catalyst is used as the air purification catalyst. When the atmosphere passes through the ozone purification catalyst, ozone in the atmosphere is decomposed (purified) into oxygen, and the amount of ozone in the atmosphere is reduced. The air purification catalyst is not limited to the ozone purification catalyst, and other purification catalysts can be applied. For example, a NOx purification catalyst, a CO purification catalyst, and the like can also be used by using a heating device or the like as necessary.

[Detection means]
The detection means is selected according to the type of the air purification catalyst. In the present embodiment, since an ozone purification catalyst is used as the air purification catalyst, an ozone concentration detector is used as the detection means. Specifically, a semiconductor type
