Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a light receiving module for a remote controller or the like incorporated in an electrical appliance.
FIG. 4 shows an example of a light receiving module for an infrared remote controller (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The light receiving module X shown in the figure includes a
However, the shielding effect largely depends on the thickness of the
The present invention has been conceived under the circumstances described above, and an object thereof is to provide a light receiving module capable of appropriately blocking electromagnetic noise and visible light.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention takes the following technical means.
A light receiving module provided by the present invention includes a frame having a die bonding pad, a light receiving element bonded to the die bonding pad, and an integrated structure for controlling the light receiving element bonded to the die bonding pad. A light receiving module comprising: a circuit element; and a resin package having a lens that seals the light receiving element and the integrated circuit element and is positioned in front of the light receiving element, wherein the light receiving module is sealed in the resin package. And a cover having an opening located between the light receiving element and the lens, while covering the light receiving element and the integrated circuit element.
According to such a configuration, light that cannot be completely blocked depending on the resin package can be appropriately blocked by the cover. Therefore, the integrated circuit element can be prevented from receiving visible light or the like inappropriately, and malfunction of the integrated circuit element can be prevented.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cover is further provided with a cylindrical portion having a diameter that decreases toward the light receiving element, and the opening is formed by the cylindrical portion. According to such a structure, the light which goes to the said cylinder among the lights condensed by the said lens can be reflected toward the center axis | shaft of the said cylinder. Therefore, the amount of light that can be received by the light receiving element can be increased, and the receiving sensitivity of the light receiving module can be increased.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cover is made of metal and is electrically connected to the die bonding pad. According to such a configuration, the electromagnetic noise flying from outside the light receiving module can be blocked by the cover. That is, the cover functions as a so-called shield cover, and the integrated circuit element can be prevented from malfunctioning due to the electromagnetic noise. Further, it is advantageous for increasing the strength of the light receiving module.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cover has an extending portion, and the extending portion is bonded to the die bonding pad or a portion of the frame that is electrically connected to the die bonding pad. Has been. According to such a configuration, the cover can be appropriately conducted to the die bonding pad, and the cover can be appropriately supported by the frame.
Other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the detailed description given below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the drawings.
1 to 3 show an example of a light receiving module according to the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the light receiving module A of this embodiment includes a
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the
The
The light receiving
The
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
A
As shown in FIG. 1, an
The
A
The light receiving module A can be manufactured by the following procedure, for example. First, the
Next, the operation of the light receiving module A will be described.
According to the present embodiment, the
The
Since the
Providing the
The infrared rays collected by the
The light receiving module according to the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. The specific configuration of each part of the light receiving module according to the present invention can be varied in design in various ways.
The light receiving element is not limited to an element that can receive infrared rays, and an element that can receive light of any wavelength other than infrared rays may be used. The shield cover is not limited to a rectangular box shape, and may be any shape that can appropriately cover the light receiving element and the integrated circuit element. The tube portion is not limited to a cylinder, and may be a tube portion having a polygonal cross section, for example. Providing a cylindrical part is advantageous for improving the reception sensitivity, but if an opening that allows the light collected by the lens to reach the light receiving element is formed, it functions as a light receiving module. be able to. As a material for the shield cover, a magnetic material having a relatively high magnetic permeability may be used in addition to Fe or an Fe alloy. The cover referred to in the present invention is preferably a cover capable of blocking both visible light and electromagnetic noise. For example, if a material that does not transmit visible light is used, at least a visible light blocking effect can be obtained.
The integrated circuit element may be covered with a light shielding resin in addition to the shield cover. This light-shielding resin is for preventing the malfunction of the integrated circuit element by blocking extraneous light. The light shielding resin is composed mainly of an epoxy resin, for example, a dye for blocking and absorbing visible light, carbon black as a black pigment for blocking and absorbing a part of ultraviolet rays, and light can be absorbed in a wide wavelength region. Titanium oxide or the like is contained.
