Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a control apparatus for a secondary battery that can quickly raise the temperature of the secondary battery.
Usually, in a vehicle such as an electric vehicle (EV) or a hybrid vehicle (HV), the driving force by electric energy is converted from DC power supplied from a high-voltage battery to three-phase AC power by an inverter. This is obtained by rotating a three-phase AC motor. Further, when the vehicle is decelerated, the battery is stored with regenerative energy obtained by the regenerative power generation of the three-phase AC motor, so that the vehicle travels without wasting energy.
In such a hybrid vehicle or electric vehicle, the power generation of the generator driven by the engine is controlled so that the SOC (State of Charge) representing the charge amount of the battery is maintained within a predetermined range. And as such a battery, secondary batteries, such as a nickel metal hydride battery and a lithium ion battery, are mainly used. These secondary batteries are required to have high reliability because they are related to the running of the vehicle.
On the other hand, it is known that the performance of the secondary battery is remarkably different depending on the battery temperature. Among them, power that can be input and output to the battery is one of the factors that greatly influence the running performance of the vehicle. The power that can be input / output to / from the battery significantly decreases as the battery temperature decreases. Therefore, in cold districts, when starting or assisting engine output, the battery temperature is low, so that a desired output cannot be obtained, and the vehicle cannot be started or accelerated smoothly.
In order to solve this problem, there is a measure of raising the temperature of the battery by the heater device when the battery temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature. However, in this measure, the addition of parts such as the heater device increases the size of the vehicle and the manufacturing cost, and part of the heat generated by the heater device escapes to a part other than the battery. Many issues remained in terms of energy efficiency.
Therefore, recently, in order to ensure the running performance of the vehicle, a number of battery control devices that efficiently raise the temperature of the battery and suppress the decrease in power that can be input to and output from the battery have been disclosed (for example, Patent Documents). 1-4).
For example,
Furthermore, when the battery control device according to
Specifically, when the vehicle is in a traveling state, the battery control means drives the generator (traveling power generation) and regenerative braking of the traveling motor to compensate for battery consumption during traveling within a predetermined SOC range. The battery discharge control is executed by prohibiting the charging and stopping the charging of the battery. In addition, the battery charging control is executed by permitting running power generation and regenerative braking and starting charging of the battery. That is, the battery means performs charge / discharge control of the battery by prohibiting / permitting the driving of the generator by the engine and the regenerative braking of the traveling motor while the vehicle is traveling.
Further, when the vehicle is stopped, the battery control means starts the engine and forcibly drives the generator to perform battery charging control.
As described above, the battery control device according to
In addition, prohibition / permission of traveling power generation and regenerative braking is performed when the battery control unit outputs a power generation stop command / power generation start command to the auxiliary machine control unit, and when the battery control unit is in the regenerative mode via the torque control unit. This is executed by transferring a signal for suppressing torque to the motor control unit. Therefore, the charge / discharge control of the battery in the temperature raising mode is complicated.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a secondary battery control device capable of quickly and easily raising the temperature of the secondary battery.

Reactor L1 has one end connected to the power supply line of battery B, and the other end connected to an intermediate point between NPN transistor Q1 and NPN transistor Q2, that is, between the emitter of NPN transistor Q1 and the collector of NPN transistor Q2. .
NPN transistors Q1 and Q2 are connected in series between the power supply line and the earth line. The collector of NPN transistor Q1 is connected to the power supply line, and the emitter of NPN transistor Q2 is connected to the ground line. In addition, diodes D1 and D2 that allow current to flow from the emitter side to the collector side are arranged between the collector and emitter of the NPN transistors Q1 and Q2, respectively.

The battery B is a secondary battery such as nickel metal hydride or lithium ion.

Further, at the time of regenerative braking,
In the motor drive device having the above configuration, the present invention is further characterized in that the
Here, since AC motor M1 is a drive motor, the average torque of the output torque must satisfy the target torque specified by torque command value TR. In addition, it is required to suppress drivability of the vehicle by intentionally changing the output torque and maintain drivability.
Therefore, as described below, the

Furthermore, when battery temperature Tbat from
インバータ制御回路401は、PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)制御方式に従って、交流モータM1を駆動制御する。
The
When executing the temperature raising means, the
Then, as the output torque of AC motor M1 fluctuates, when a power fluctuation corresponding to this torque fluctuation is exchanged between AC motor M1 and battery B, battery B is charged. The direct current Ib is vibrated in accordance with the change in the discharged power. As a result, when the oscillated DC current Ib flows, the internal resistance generates heat, and the battery B is heated.
That is, the

The
Sensor
Specifically, the sensor
The sensor
On the other hand, when battery temperature Tbat is equal to or higher than threshold value Tc, sensor

The three-phase / two-
That is, the three-phase / two-
At this time, the current values Id1 and Iq1 are obtained by adding the offset currents ΔIv and ΔIw to the motor currents Iv and Iw, so that Id and Iq obtained when the offset current is not added are expressed by ΔId, Includes fluctuations in ΔIq.
Then, feedback current control is performed so that the current values Id1 and Iq including the fluctuations ΔId and ΔIq coincide with the current commands Id * and Iq *.
Here, the influence on the output torque T of the AC motor M1 due to the addition of the sensor error to the sensor value of the
Referring to the uppermost stage in FIG. 4, the motor current Iv, which is the sensor value of the
As is well known, the output torque T of the AC motor M1 is obtained by using the dq axis components Id and Iq of the motor current.
It is represented by Here, Pn: number of pole pairs, φ: motor linkage magnetic flux by permanent magnet, Ld, Lq: dq axis inductance.
If the current values Id and Iq fluctuate by ΔId and ΔIq, respectively, on the right side of the equation (5), the output torque T has a variation ΔT expressed by the following equation.
The output torque T at this time has an output waveform shown in the middle part of FIG. As is apparent from FIG. 4, the output torque T shows a waveform that periodically fluctuates with a fluctuation range of ± ΔT (= T_com ± ΔT) around the target torque T_com commanded by the torque command value TR.
Then, in accordance with the torque fluctuation amount ΔT, the motor driving device generates a power fluctuation ΔP represented by the following equation.
That is, since the output torque T varies, the power fluctuation ΔP proportional to the torque fluctuation ΔT is exchanged between the AC motor M1 and the battery B. Specifically, when the output torque T increases from the target torque T_com by a torque fluctuation amount ΔT, electric power is taken out from the battery B by a power fluctuation amount ΔP. That is, the battery B is discharged by the amount of power fluctuation ΔP. Further, when the output torque T is reduced by the torque fluctuation amount ΔT from the target torque T_com, the electric power is brought into the battery B by the electric power fluctuation amount ΔP. That is, the battery B is charged by the amount of power fluctuation ΔP.
Therefore, in the battery B, as the output torque T varies, charging and discharging of power corresponding to the power variation ΔP are periodically repeated. Due to this charging / discharging operation, a current change ΔIb proportional to the power fluctuation ΔPc occurs in the direct current Ib flowing through the battery B due to the relationship of the following equation.
Then, according to the equations (7) and (8), in the DC current Ib, as shown in the lowermost stage of FIG. As the current change ΔIb flows through the battery B, the amount of heat ΔQ represented by the equation (9) is generated in the internal resistance of the battery B. Due to this heat generation, the battery temperature Tbat of the battery B rises and the battery performance is improved.
As described above, the
According to the present invention, the temperature of the battery B can be raised more quickly and easily than the conventional battery control device that charges and discharges the battery according to the running state of the vehicle. In particular, when the battery B is a lithium ion battery, the temperature raising means according to the present invention exhibits a high effect. This is because the lithium ion battery has a feature that the internal resistance at low temperature is lower than that of the nickel metal hydride battery, so that the temperature rise is difficult. However, the direct current Ib actively flows inside the battery, so that the temperature raising efficiency is improved. This is because that.
Furthermore, according to the present invention, a high temperature rise effect can be obtained even when the direct current Ib flowing through the battery B is near zero. When the direct current Ib is as small as near zero, the amount of heat generated by the internal resistance is small, and therefore it is difficult to raise the temperature of the battery B. On the other hand, the temperature raising means according to the present invention intentionally vibrates the DC current Ib around zero, so that an excessive amount of heat is generated according to the amount of current change, and the battery B is efficiently raised. Can be warmed.
In addition, according to the present invention, the torque fluctuation of AC motor M1 is performed within a range that does not cause the vehicle to shake, so that it is possible to prevent the deterioration of drivability accompanying the execution of the temperature raising means. In particular, when the motor rotation speed is increased and the vehicle speed is increased, the torque fluctuation becomes less noticeable to the driver due to the inertia acting on the weight of the vehicle, and the drivability does not change at all.
FIG. 5 is a flowchart for illustrating the temperature raising operation of the battery according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 5, when a series of operations is started, sensor
If it is determined in step S02 that the battery temperature Tbat is lower than the threshold value Tc, the sensor
On the other hand, when battery temperature Tbat is determined to be equal to or higher than threshold value Tc in step S02, sensor
Next, when the three-phase / two-
The
The two-phase / three-
The
Then,
Further, when the battery temperature Tbat is lower than the threshold value Tc, the output torque T changes the target torque T_com to the average torque in response to the offset currents ΔIv, ΔIw being added to the motor currents Iv, Iw in the above step S03. As a periodic variation. The battery B is periodically charged and discharged with a power fluctuation ΔP corresponding to the fluctuation ΔT of the output torque T. As a result, the internal resistance of the battery B generates heat and raises the temperature of the battery B.
As described above, according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the output torque of the AC motor is intentionally vibrated and the battery is repeatedly charged and discharged, whereby the internal resistance is heated by the current flowing through the battery, and the battery is The temperature rises directly from the inside. Therefore, the temperature of the battery can be quickly raised as compared with the conventional battery control device that charges and discharges the battery according to the traveling state of the vehicle.
In addition, since the output torque is varied within a range that does not cause the vehicle to swing, drivability can be ensured even by executing the temperature raising means.

In the first embodiment, the sensor error is superimposed on the sensor value of the

Then, the three-phase / two-

When the two-phase / three-
The
Here, in the signal PWMI generated by the
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the relationship between the rotation angle θ1 after addition of the sensor error and the signal PWMI. In the figure, it is assumed that a rotation 0.5th order error is added to the sensor value θ as the sensor error Δθ.
Referring to FIG. 7, rotation angle θ detected by
On the other hand, the rotation angle θ1 obtained by adding the rotation 0.5th-order error Δθ to the rotation angle θ is a non-linear waveform that periodically oscillates around the rotation angle θ as indicated by the waveform k4.
Further, since the linearity of the output waveform at the rotation angle θ1 is impaired, the duty ratio is shifted in the signal PWMI. Specifically, referring to waveform k6 in the figure, signal PWMI switches from the H level to the L level at timing t5 that is earlier by Δt than timing t6. In addition, at the timing t8 which is later by Δt than the timing t7, the H level is switched to the L level.
This deviation in duty ratio causes an offset in the motor current. Specifically, when the duty ratio is shifted in the increasing direction, the motor current waveform is offset in the positive direction. On the other hand, when the duty ratio deviates in the decreasing direction, the motor current waveform is offset in the negative direction. When the motor current is offset, torque variation occurs in the output torque T of AC motor M1 as described in the first embodiment.
The torque fluctuation ΔT is derived by substituting equation (11) into equation (6). The derived torque fluctuation ΔT periodically changes according to the periodicity of the sensor error Δθ. As a result, the output torque T of AC motor M1 periodically fluctuates by ± ΔT with the target torque T_com as an average torque.
As described above, the
In the present embodiment, the sensor error Δθ is a periodic error synchronized with 1 / n rotation in order to give periodicity to fluctuations in the output torque T, for example, the rotation n-th order (n is a positive number). ) Error.
FIG. 8 is a flowchart for illustrating the temperature raising operation of the battery according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 8, when a series of operations is started, sensor
If it is determined in step S21 that the battery temperature Tbat is lower than the threshold value Tc, the sensor
On the other hand, when it is determined in step S21 that the battery temperature Tbat is equal to or higher than the threshold value Tc, the sensor
Next, when the three-phase / two-
The
The two-phase / three-
The
Then,
Further, when the battery temperature Tbat is lower than the threshold value Tc, the output torque T is periodically changed with the target torque T_com as the average torque in response to the addition of the sensor error Δθ to the rotation angle θ in the above step S22. Can be changed. Then, the battery B is heated by the battery B being periodically charged and discharged with the power fluctuation ΔP corresponding to the fluctuation ΔT of the output torque T.
As described above, according to the second embodiment of the present invention, the output torque of the AC motor is intentionally vibrated around the target torque by superimposing a periodic sensor error on the resolver sensor value. be able to. As a result, the battery can be quickly heated while generating a desired torque in the AC motor.
In addition, since the output torque is varied within a range that does not cause the vehicle to swing, drivability can be ensured even by executing the temperature raising means.

FIG. 11 is a functional block diagram of the
Sensor
Specifically, the sensor
これにより、センサ誤差加算値Iv1,Iw1は、センサ値Iv_1,Iw_1を、αIv_1(=ΔIv_1),αIw_1(=ΔIw_1)だけオフセットさせた値となる。
Thus, the sensor error addition values Iv1 and Iw1 are values obtained by offsetting the sensor values Iv_1 and Iw_1 by αIv_1 (= ΔIv_1) and αIw_1 (= ΔIw_1). The sensor
On the other hand, when the battery temperature Tbat is equal to or higher than the threshold value Tc, the sensor
As described in FIG. 1, the three-phase / two-
At this time, the current values Id1 and Iq1 are obtained by multiplying the motor currents Iv_1 and Iw_1 by the offset gain (1 + α), so that Id and Iq obtained when the offset gain is not integrated are expressed by the following equations: ΔId and ΔIq Including fluctuations.
Then, by substituting these fluctuations ΔId and Iq into the above equation (6), the fluctuation ΔT generated in the output torque T is obtained. As shown in FIG. 4, the output torque T has a waveform that periodically fluctuates with a fluctuation range of ± ΔT (= T_com ± ΔT) around the target torque T_com. Then, the power fluctuation ΔP corresponding to the fluctuation ΔT is periodically charged and discharged to the battery B, so that the internal resistance of the battery B generates heat and raises the temperature of the battery B.
FIG. 12 is a flowchart for illustrating the temperature raising operation of the battery according to the third embodiment of the present invention.

As described above, according to the third embodiment of the present invention, the charging / discharging of the battery is repeated by changing the output torque of one of the two motor generators mounted on the vehicle that is not the driving motor. To raise the temperature of the battery. Therefore, it is possible to further reduce the influence of the execution of the temperature raising unit on the drivability.
[Embodiment 4]... Execution with 2 motors + P range FIG. 13 is a schematic block diagram of a motor drive device including a secondary battery control device according to Embodiment 4 of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 13, the motor drive device according to the present embodiment is obtained by adding a
The
Control device 40C receives torque command values TR1 and TR2 and motor rotational speeds MRN1 and MRN2 from an external ECU, receives output voltage Vm from
40C of control apparatuses are provided with the temperature raising means for heating up the battery B similarly to the control apparatus B of FIG. However, in the control device 40C according to the present embodiment, the battery temperature Tbat from the
FIG. 14 is a functional block diagram of an inverter control circuit 401C included in the control device 40C of FIG.
Referring to FIG. 14, an inverter control circuit 401C is obtained by changing the sensor
Sensor
On the other hand, sensor
As described above, in the present embodiment, the temperature raising means is executed only when the battery temperature Tbat is lower than the threshold value Tc and the vehicle is stopped. According to this, since the fluctuation of the output torque of motor generator MG1 is performed only when the vehicle is stopped, drivability is not affected at all.
According to the present embodiment, the timing for executing the temperature raising means is limited when the vehicle is stopped, but it is effective in minimizing the influence on drivability.
FIG. 15 is a flowchart for illustrating the temperature raising operation of the battery according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 15, the current control operation performed after step S04 is the same as the operation after step S04 in FIG. 5, and thus description of these steps is omitted.
Referring to FIG. 15, when a series of operations is started, sensor
Sensor
Specifically, first, the sensor
On the other hand, the sensor
As described above, according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention, when the vehicle is stopped, the output torque of motor generator MG1 that is not the drive motor is intentionally vibrated to raise the temperature of the battery. Thereby, the influence of vibration of the output torque of motor generator MG1 on drivability can be minimized.
