Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a medical image diagnostic system capable of displaying an ultrasound image and a reference image having the same cross section.
When an ultrasound image and a CT / MRI reference image are displayed at the same time, there is a problem that the brightness of each image is displayed differently. This is because the ultrasonic image and the reference image are compressed when output to the analog peripheral device, but the number of data per gradation and the image data of the low gradation part and the high gradation part are different. For example, if the reference image has more high gradation parts than the ultrasound image, the reference image will appear whitish when the ultrasound image and the reference image are displayed on a monitor or printed out by a printer. End up. Therefore, it is impossible to accurately compare the same cross section between the ultrasonic image and the reference image.
In order to solve this problem, the image quality adjustment standard for CT / MRI reference images and the image quality adjustment standard for ultrasound images can be set separately. Had to do.
An object of the present invention is to easily adjust the image quality of an ultrasound image and a reference image that display the same part.
In order to achieve the object of the present invention, a reference image obtained by extracting image data corresponding to a scan surface of an ultrasonic probe from volume data imaged by a medical image diagnostic apparatus together with an ultrasonic image is displayed on a display screen. In the medical image diagnostic system to be displayed, a calculation means for varying the luminance of the reference image based on luminance distribution information of the ultrasonic image is provided, and the reference image is configured based on the varied luminance. A CT image or MR image is used as the reference image, and the luminance distribution information of the reference image is displayed on the display screen. Further, an input unit for adjusting the image quality of the reference image or the ultrasonic image is provided, and the image quality adjustment degree is displayed on the screen.
In the present invention, it is possible to easily adjust the image quality of the ultrasound image and the reference image displaying the same part.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows the configuration of a medical image diagnostic system to which the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus of the present invention is applied. The medical image diagnostic system includes an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and a medical image diagnostic apparatus that acquires volume data to be a reference image. As the medical image
Next, the configuration of the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus will be described in detail. In FIG. 1, description of general functions provided in the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is omitted, and only functions of main parts related to reference image display according to features of the present invention are described. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus shown in FIG. 1 is roughly divided into a system for reconstructing an ultrasonic image and a system for reconstructing a reference image. The former is a
Further, this apparatus includes a combining
The
The volume

The image data output from the
In addition, two-dimensional image data serving as a reference image output from the volume
Fig. 2 shows the cumulative histogram. The cumulative histogram is obtained by graphing the calculated histogram data in the graphic
The
Specifically, the
By correcting the reference image in this way, the luminance value ranges of the ultrasonic image and the reference image match. Therefore, even if these images are combined by the combining
In the above example, the
In the above description, the cumulative histogram information is used. However, the
Here, a threshold a (a is an arbitrary integer) is provided for the frequency (number of pixels) of the histogram distribution so that a minute pixel with a small luminance distribution does not affect the image quality adjustment. By providing the threshold value a, the luminance or pixel used for image quality adjustment is selected. For image quality adjustment, the minute pixels smaller than the threshold value a are deleted, and the pixels larger than the threshold value a are used. That is, the range of
First, in the selected range, the
The width of
Then, based on the corrected
If the histogram distribution appears two places above the threshold value a, that is, if there are two or more histogram distribution peaks exceeding the threshold value a, set
Whether to select a histogram distribution with a wide luminance range or to select the level of the threshold value a can be arbitrarily selected by the operator using the
Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4, in order to make the luminance distributions of the ultrasonic image and the reference image coincide with each other, the peaks and peaks of the respective histogram distributions may be corrected together. First, the
Both the
Further, the cumulative histogram or the histogram distribution of the reference image can be arbitrarily deformed by a signal input from the
In addition, when the origin is fixed as described above and the point on the upper side of the curve is dragged and moved like the
Next, FIG. 5 shows a histogram image displayed on the
FIG. 5 (b) shows the state of the histogram distribution. A
Here, another embodiment is shown in FIG. The difference from the above embodiment is that instead of the
Specifically, the
FIG. 7 shows an example applied to ultrasonic gamma curve and CT value luminance conversion. FIG. 7 shows a form in which the brightness of the ultrasound image is determined according to the signal intensity of the ultrasound and displayed on the screen, and the brightness of the CT image is determined according to the CT value and displayed on the screen. A feature of this embodiment is that an ultrasonic signal intensity or CT value of CT is used as a source for adjusting luminance information. A
In the
Although not shown, it is also possible to prevent the luminance values g to 255 from being displayed in the ultrasonic image gamma curve as in the case of the reference image data. Therefore, by displaying the ultrasonic image and the reference image at a luminance equal to or lower than the same luminance value g, that is, omitting the luminance values g to 255, it is possible to display an image displayed relatively white.

Further, as shown in FIG. 9, a
FIG. 10 shows one form of the Menu function shown in FIG. A

As described above, the image quality of the ultrasound image, the reference CT image, and the MR image can be adjusted by the
Next, the operation procedure of this embodiment will be described with reference to flowcharts of FIGS. FIG. 11 shows a basic operation procedure. First, in the
FIG. 12 shows an example in which options S18 and S19 are added between S15 and S16 in FIG. The window level and window width are calculated from the luminance histogram after conversion of the reference image, and the displayed values are updated (S18). A graph of the luminance distribution at the time of reading the reference image and the adjusted luminance distribution changed in real time is displayed at the bottom of the screen (S19). In FIG. 12, the details of the reference image can be grasped by adding a step of displaying the update information of the reference image on the screen.
In the above description, the reference image is adjusted based on the histogram information of the ultrasonic image. However, the ultrasonic image may be adjusted based on the histogram information of the reference image. Further, it is not always necessary to display the reference image and the ultrasonic image at the same time, and either one may be displayed. In addition, the reference image can be displayed by superimposing the ultrasonic image by translucently processing the reference image.
In the above, the invention for displaying an ultrasonic image and a reference image of the same cross section has been disclosed. However, the present invention is not limited to this form, and can be applied to an apparatus that fuses modalities of another medical diagnostic apparatus other than the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. it can. For example, the present invention can be applied to X-ray apparatus and MR image quality adjustment for displaying the same section, and CT and MR image quality adjustment for displaying the same section.
