Abstract
Description
本発明は、ユーザの情報の閲覧履歴(例えば、放送番組の視聴履歴など)からユーザの嗜好を学習し、ユーザにあった情報を提供する技術であり、特に番組推薦に関する。 The present invention is a technique for learning user preferences from a user information browsing history (for example, a viewing history of a broadcast program) and providing information suited to the user, and particularly relates to program recommendation.
従来、情報推薦、特に番組推薦においては、ユーザの番組の閲覧履歴や視聴履歴とこれらの番組のメタデータから閲覧・視聴した番組に関するキーワードを抽出することにより、ユーザの嗜好に関する番組すなわちユーザプロファイルを獲得する。そして、このユーザプロファイルとユーザが閲覧する番組群との類似性に基づいて、提供すべき番組を選択し推薦が行われている。 Conventionally, in information recommendation, particularly program recommendation, a keyword relating to a user's preference, that is, a user profile, is extracted by extracting a keyword relating to the program viewed / viewed from the viewing history and viewing history of the user's program and metadata of these programs. To win. Based on the similarity between the user profile and the program group viewed by the user, a program to be provided is selected and recommended.
例えば、特許文献1では、ユーザが閲覧した情報にユーザが明示的に「好き」または「嫌い」のフィードバックを与えることにより、それらの情報に付与あるいは関連づけられているキーワード群からユーザの嗜好を学習し、その結果を情報推薦に利用する技術が開示されている。
For example, in
However, in the conventional information recommendation device and the program recommendation device, the user's preference is learned by the user explicitly giving feedback to the information or program that is browsed or viewed, or the information that is browsed is viewed. Since it is regarded as “favorite information” and the user's preference is implicitly learned in units of information, as a result, all the keywords constituting the keyword group associated with the browsed information are learned uniformly.
For example, if a keyword group of “soccer”, “world cup qualifying”, “Tokai earthquake”, and “Sakura front” is associated with a news program on television, the user who viewed this news program will use these four keyword groups. All of the four keywords constituting the learning are uniformly learned as “favorite keywords”. However, in fact, the user was only interested in the news about “Sakura Front”, so he was watching the news program, and was not interested in “Soccer”, “World Cup Qualifying”, and “Tokai Earthquake”. Is also possible.
このような場合においても、従来の情報推薦装置では、前記の4つのキーワード全てを一律に学習してしまうという課題がある。さらに、以上のようにキーワードを一律に学習することで、ユーザの興味とは関係のないキーワードまでも学習されてしまうため、学習されたユーザの嗜好の情報を用いて情報の推薦を行うとユーザの興味のない不要な情報までも推薦されてしまい、情報推薦の精度が低下するという課題がある。 Even in such a case, the conventional information recommendation device has a problem that all the four keywords are uniformly learned. Furthermore, learning keywords uniformly as described above also learns keywords that are not related to the user's interests. Therefore, if information is recommended using learned user preference information, the user There is a problem that unnecessary information that is not of interest is also recommended and the accuracy of information recommendation is reduced.
本発明は、このような問題点に鑑みてなされたものであって、ユーザの嗜好を的確に学習し、もって高い精度で情報を推薦する情報推薦装置を提供することを目的とする。 The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an information recommendation device that accurately learns user preferences and recommends information with high accuracy.
In order to achieve the above object, an information recommendation device according to the present invention is a device that learns user preferences from information browsing history and recommends information, and specifies information to be browsed according to user operations. Means acquisition means for acquiring information specified by the information specifying means, reason candidate generation means for generating a candidate for the reason for selecting information based on the specified information, and the reason candidate generation means Information display means for displaying generated reason candidates, reason acquisition means for acquiring reasons selected by the user from the displayed reason candidates, and a user profile for storing user profile information expressing user preferences Accumulating means, user profile updating means for updating the user profile based on the reason selected by the user, and the user profile. And a recommendation information selecting means for selecting information to be recommended based on the user profile stored in the file storage means.
また、前記情報推薦装置は、さらに、前記理由候補生成手段で生成された理由の候補を提示するタイミングを制御する理由候補提示及びタイミング制御手段を備え、前記情報表示手段は、所定のタイミングで理由の候補の提示を行ってもよい。 The information recommendation device further includes reason candidate presentation and timing control means for controlling the timing of presenting the reason candidates generated by the reason candidate generating means, and the information display means provides the reason at a predetermined timing. Candidates may be presented.
上記の構成によれば、本発明は理由候補生成手段によりユーザが情報を閲覧した理由の候補を提示し、ユーザに選択してもらう構成としたため、不要なキーワードの学習が防止され、推薦される情報の精度が向上する。また、理由の候補をタイミングをはかって提示しユーザに選択してもらうため、ユーザの負担をかけることなく理由を特定することが可能となる。 According to the above configuration, the present invention is configured to present the candidate for the reason that the user browsed the information by the reason candidate generating means and have the user select it, so that learning of unnecessary keywords is prevented and recommended. The accuracy of information is improved. Moreover, since the candidate of a reason is presented at a timing and the user selects it, the reason can be specified without imposing a burden on the user.
以下、発明の実施の形態を、図面を参照しながら説明する。
図1は、実施の形態における情報推薦装置のシステム構成を示すブロック図である。この実施の形態では、推薦される情報の一つの典型例を放送番組と考え、番組推薦装置について説明する。

次に、本実施の形態に係る番組推薦装置の動作を説明する。ここでは一例として、テレビ番組に関するユーザの嗜好を学習して推薦する場合について説明する。 Next, the operation of the program recommendation device according to the present embodiment will be described. Here, as an example, a case where the user's preference regarding a television program is learned and recommended will be described.
ユーザは操作受付部108であるリモコン装置などを用いて放送チャンネルを例えば「6ch」などと指定する。情報指定部109は情報取得部102に対して6chを受信するように命令を出し、テレビチューナに相当するインタフェース部101は6chの放送波を受信することにより、情報表示部107に6chの番組が表示される。
The user designates the broadcast channel as, for example, “6ch” using a remote control device that is the
On the other hand, the
このように、ユーザはテレビ番組を視聴し、またテレビ番組のメタデータとしてEPGが得られる。 In this way, the user views a television program, and EPG is obtained as metadata of the television program.
図2は、メタデータ蓄積部104に蓄積されているEPGを構成する番組情報の一例を示す図である。
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an example of program information constituting the EPG stored in the
The program information includes items such as broadcast date, time, channel, title, program content, performer, and genre. Of these, the program contents, performers, and genres are written in plain text. As for performers and genres, there is a table in which performer IDs and performers, and genre IDs and genres are associated with each other, and the EPG in FIG. Also good. Further, as another configuration, the program content may be described including the performer, and a predetermined tag may be put before and after the description part of the performer. In any of these configurations, it can be said that any description method that can identify the contents of each item in FIG.
次に、本実施の形態でのユーザの嗜好の学習手順について、図3を参照して説明する。
図3は、学習手順の一例を示すフローチャートである。
Next, a user's preference learning procedure in the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating an example of a learning procedure.
ステップa1では、リモコンなどの操作受付部108はユーザによって行われる選局操作を取得する。例えば、6chを選局するという操作を取得する。選局操作を取得すると、情報指定部109がインタフェース部101であるテレビチューナに6chを受信するように制御し、6chの放送波が受信される。受信された放送波はデコードされ情報表示部107に番組の映像として映出されるとともに、図示しないスピーカなどの音声出力部から音声として出力される。
In step a1, the
In step a2, the reason
ステップa3、a4では、まず、ステップa3において理由候補提示及びタイミング制御部111が番組の終了時間に到達したかどうかを、時計部116に保持される現在時刻を参照して監視する。到達した場合はステップa5に進む。
In steps a3 and a4, first, in step a3, whether or not the reason candidate presentation and
到達していなかった場合はステップa4にすすみ、ユーザから受信中のチャンネルの変更の操作の有無を確認する。ここでチャンネルの変更操作があった場合は、ステップa3での番組終了時間への到達の監視を中断しステップa1に戻る。また、チャンネル変更操作がなかった場合はステップa3に再び戻り、番組終了時間への到達の監視を継続する。 If not, the process proceeds to step a4, where it is confirmed whether or not a channel change operation is being received from the user. Here, if there is a channel change operation, monitoring of reaching the program end time in step a3 is interrupted, and the process returns to step a1. On the other hand, if there is no channel change operation, the process returns to step a3 again to continue monitoring for reaching the program end time.
ステップa5では、理由候補提示及びタイミング制御部111が理由候補生成部110にユーザに提示する理由候補の生成の要求を出す。理由候補生成部110は図2の番組情報から理由候補を生成し理由候補提示及びタイミング制御部111に返す。理由候補提示及びタイミング制御部111は理由候補生成部110で生成された理由候補をディスプレーなどの情報表示部107に提示する。
In step a5, the reason candidate presentation and
ここで、理由候補生成部110における理由候補の生成の方法について説明する。理由候補生成部110は、まず、番組情報からキーワードの切り出しをおこなう。
Here, a method of generating a reason candidate in the reason
図4は、一例として、図2に示される番組情報から切り出されるキーワードを示した図である。番組情報が図の左側に示され、その番組情報のテキスト部分、具体的にはタイトル、番組内容、出演者、ジャンルの記述内容から切り出されるキーワードが図の右側に示される。 FIG. 4 is a diagram showing keywords extracted from the program information shown in FIG. 2 as an example. Program information is shown on the left side of the figure, and keywords extracted from the text portion of the program information, specifically, the description contents of the title, program contents, performers, and genres are shown on the right side of the figure.
キーワードの切り出し方法は、形態素解析による方法、ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字などの字種の切り替わり目で切り出す方法など様々な方法があり、どの方法を採用するかは適宜選択すればよい。また、さらに、キーワードとして切り出しても番組内容の表現としてあまり意味をなさないキーワード(例えば「再放送」「延長」など)を不要なキーワード群としてあらかじめ定義しておき、それらのキーワードを切り出し結果から除外する、などの処理をするとなおよい。 There are various methods for extracting keywords, such as a method based on morphological analysis, a method of extracting at the switching of character types such as hiragana, katakana, and kanji, and which method should be selected as appropriate. Furthermore, keywords that do not make much sense as the contents of the program contents even if they are cut out as keywords (for example, “rebroadcast” or “extension”) are defined in advance as unnecessary keyword groups, and those keywords are extracted from the cutout results. It is even better to perform a process such as excluding.
このようにして理由候補生成部110において切り出されたキーワード群が、理由候補として情報表示部107であるディスプレーに表示される。
Thus, the keyword group cut out by the reason
図5は、理由の候補であるキーワード群が情報表示部107に表示された一例を示した図である。図5(a)は、図4に示されるキーワード群が、それぞれ1〜12の選択番号を付与された形式で全画面に表示された例を示し、図5(b)は、画面の右上にユーザが見終わった番組に引き続いてオンエア中の別の番組(この例では天気予報)が縮小表示されると共に、画面の残部に同じキーワード群が表示された例を示している。
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an example in which a keyword group that is a candidate for a reason is displayed on the
ステップa6では、情報表示部107に表示された理由の候補であるキーワード群の中から、ユーザによって選択された、その番組を視聴した理由として最もふさわしいキーワードを、操作受付部108で取得する。例えば、操作受付部108としてリモコンを使う場合、ユーザはチャンネル選択のための「1」〜「12」キーを用いて選択するなどが考えられる。このようにリモコンで選択可能とするためには、ステップa5における理由候補となるキーワード群の抽出個数を最大12個程度に収めることが望ましい。
In step a6, the
ここで、ユーザが例えば「シンクロ」の話題について興味がありこの番組を視聴した場合、リモコンボタンの「6」を押下しキーワード「シンクロ」を理由として選択する。 Here, for example, when the user is interested in the topic of “sync” and views this program, the user presses “6” on the remote control button and selects the keyword “sync” as the reason.
ステップa7では、ユーザがステップa6で選択した理由キーワードを理由取得部112を通じてユーザプロファイル更新部106に渡される。ユーザプロファイル更新部106はユーザプロファイル蓄積部105に蓄積されているユーザプロファイルの更新を行う。
In step a7, the reason keyword selected by the user in step a6 is passed to the user
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of updating a user profile. The user
ここで、ステップa6において、ユーザが理由として「シンクロ」を選択したためユーザプロファイル更新部106は図6(a)の状態のユーザプロファイルに「シンクロ」を追加し更新する。ユーザプロファイル更新の手順は以下のようになる。
Here, in step a6, since the user selects “synchronized” as the reason, the user
[手順1a] 追加されるキーワードが、ユーザプロファイルを構成するキーワード群と比較し登録済みか、未登録であるかを判定する。登録済みであれば何もせずに処理を終了する。未登録の場合は手順2aに進む。
[手順2a] 追加されるキーワードをユーザプロファイルのキーワード群に追加し処理を終了する。
[Procedure 1a] It is determined whether the keyword to be added is registered or not registered by comparing with the keyword group constituting the user profile. If registered, the process ends without doing anything. If unregistered, proceed to step 2a.
[Procedure 2a] The keyword to be added is added to the keyword group of the user profile, and the process ends.
以上のユーザプロファイル更新の手順により図6(a)のユーザプロファイルの状態が、視聴した理由である新たなキーワード「シンクロ」が追加されることにより図6(b)の状態へと更新される。 The user profile state shown in FIG. 6A is updated to the state shown in FIG. 6B by adding a new keyword “synchronous” that is the reason for viewing by the above user profile update procedure.
なお、ユーザプロファイル蓄積部105に蓄積されているユーザプロファイルは、図7(a)に示すように、キーワードと度数の組みから構成するようにしても良い。度数は出現頻度、あるいは出現頻度に基づいて算出される重みである。以下に度数を出現頻度とした場合のユーザプロファイル更新の手順を示す。
Note that the user profile stored in the user
[手順1b] 追加されるキーワードが、ユーザプロファイルを構成するキーワード群と比較し登録済みか、未登録であるかを判定する。登録済みであればそのキーワードの度数を1増加させ処理を終了する。未登録の場合は手順2bに進む。
[手順2b] 追加されるキーワードをユーザプロファイルのキーワード群に追加し、度数を1として処理を終了する。
[Procedure 1b] It is determined whether the keyword to be added is registered or not registered by comparing with the keyword group constituting the user profile. If registered, the frequency of the keyword is increased by 1, and the process is terminated. If unregistered, proceed to step 2b.
[Procedure 2b] The keyword to be added is added to the keyword group of the user profile, the frequency is set to 1, and the process is terminated.
以上のユーザプロファイル更新の手順により図7(a)のユーザプロファイルの状態が、視聴した理由である新たなキーワード「シンクロ」が追加されることにより図7(b)の状態へと更新される。 With the above user profile update procedure, the state of the user profile in FIG. 7A is updated to the state of FIG. 7B by adding a new keyword “sync” that is the reason for viewing.
以上のように、図3のフローチャートで示した手順により、ユーザが閲覧した情報(テレビ番組)について、その閲覧した理由を反映してユーザプロファイルの更新を行うことによりユーザの嗜好の学習がEPGから生成されるキーワード群の中から選択的に必要なキーワードのみ反映させることが可能となる。 As described above, according to the procedure shown in the flowchart of FIG. 3, the user's preference is learned from the EPG by updating the user profile with respect to the information (television program) browsed by the user, reflecting the reason for browsing. Only necessary keywords can be selectively reflected from the generated keyword group.
次に、学習されたユーザの嗜好を利用した情報推薦の手順について、図8及び図9を参照して説明する。 Next, an information recommendation procedure using the learned user preference will be described with reference to FIGS.
図8は、推薦情報選択部113で実行される情報推薦の手順の一例を示すフローチャートである。
FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating an example of an information recommendation procedure executed by the recommendation
FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of specific data related to information recommendation.
When the information recommendation instruction is received from the user or the condition for updating the recommended information determined by the information recommendation device is satisfied, first, in step b1, from all the EPGs accumulated in the
次に、ステップb2では、ステップb1で選択された番組情報からさらに1つの番組情報を選択し、その番組情報からキーワードを抽出する。ステップb2の実行によって、図9において、所定の期間の番組情報202から「ニュースウォッチ」という番組情報203が選択され、選択された番組情報203からキーワード群204が抽出される。このキーワード抽出は、図3のステップa5で行った理由候補キーワードの生成処理と同様のキーワードの切り出し処理によって行われる。
Next, in step b2, one program information is further selected from the program information selected in step b1, and a keyword is extracted from the program information. By executing step b2, in FIG. 9, the
次に、ステップb3では、ステップb2で番組情報から抽出されたキーワード群とユーザプロファイルとの類似性を比較し当該番組の評価値を算出する。ステップb3の実行によって、図9においては、キーワード群204とユーザプロファイル205のキーワード群との比較に基づいて、両者のキーワード群で合致するキーワードの数が計数される。この場合「松上電器」というキーワードが合致する。このように合致したキーワード206の数が計数され、その結果、1がこの「ニュースウオッチ」という番組の評価値とされる。
Next, in step b3, the similarity between the keyword group extracted from the program information in step b2 and the user profile is compared, and the evaluation value of the program is calculated. By executing step b3, in FIG. 9, based on the comparison between the
ステップb4、b5ではステップb1で選択した所定の期間の番組情報202に含まれる全ての番組情報について評価値の算出が完了すればステップb6に進み、まだ完了していない場合はステップb2に戻り、次の番組情報について同様の処理を続行し評価値を算出する。
In steps b4 and b5, if calculation of evaluation values is completed for all program information included in the
ステップb6、b7では、評価値が算出された番組を評価値の降順にソートを行い、評価値の上位から所定の数の番組を推薦結果として推薦情報選択部113が情報表示部107へ出力し表示される。
In steps b6 and b7, the programs whose evaluation values are calculated are sorted in descending order of the evaluation values, and the recommended
以上のような手順で学習されたユーザの嗜好情報(ユーザプロファイル)を利用して、ユーザの興味、関心のある情報を推薦することが可能となる。 It is possible to recommend information of interest and interest of the user by using the user preference information (user profile) learned by the above procedure.

As described above, in the present embodiment, the reason
In the present embodiment, the recommendation of a program using EPG as metadata has been described as an example. However, the present application is not limited to the embodiment, and can be applied to other information. For example, if a CD is used as information, it can be operated similarly if CDDB is used as metadata. If a book is used as information, bibliographic items may be used as metadata. In addition, when the information itself is composed of text, metadata may be unnecessary. For example, when a newspaper article is handled as information, keywords can be extracted from the text of the newspaper article itself. Therefore, learning is performed in the same procedure as in FIG. 3 without preparing metadata separately, and the same as in FIG. It is possible to recommend in the procedure.
なお、情報表示部107での理由の提示の別の方法として、EPGから切り出したキーワードを提示するのではなく、「内容に興味があったから」「出演者が好きだから」「このようなジャンルの番組が好きだから」「いつも見ているから」などのように、いくつかの理由の文書を提示しても良い。
As another method of presenting the reason in the
図10は、この場合に、情報表示部107に提示される理由候補の一例を示す図である。この場合、理由候補生成部110では常にこの4つの選択肢を出力し表示する。ユーザから理由が選択されるとユーザプロファイル更新部106は選択肢に応じて番組情報の属性を選択しその属性に記述されているテキストからキーワードを抽出しユーザプロファイルの更新に使用する。
FIG. 10 is a diagram showing an example of reason candidates presented on the
図11は、ユーザの選択に応じたキーワードの切り出しについて示した図である。
ユーザが理由として「内容に興味があったから」を選択した場合、図11の番組情報の「番組内容」にのみ着目し、すでに説明した方法でキーワードの切り出しを行う。その結果、キーワード群302が生成される。その後、既に述べた図3におけるステップa6においてユーザが図11のキーワード群302に含まれるキーワード全てを選択した場合と同様の処理を行って、ユーザプロファイルの更新を行う。
FIG. 11 is a diagram showing the extraction of keywords according to the user's selection.
When the user selects “Because I was interested in the contents” as a reason, the keyword is cut out by the method described above, paying attention only to the “program contents” of the program information in FIG. As a result, a
同様にユーザが図10の理由の選択肢から「出演者が好きだから」を選択した場合は、図11の番組情報の「出演者」にのみ着目し、また「このようなジャンルの番組が好きだから」を選択した場合は「ジャンル」にのみ着目し、それぞれキーワードの切り出しを行うことにより、キーワード群303あるいは304が生成され、ユーザプロファイル更新処理に用いられる。
Similarly, when the user selects “I like performers” from the choices of reason in FIG. 10, pay attention only to “performers” in the program information of FIG. 11, and “I like programs of this genre” When “” is selected, attention is paid only to “genre”, and the
また、理由として「いつも見ているから」を選択した場合は、その番組を番組内容や出演者にかかわらず毎回視聴していると予想されるので、図11の番組情報の「タイトル」にのみ着目しキーワード切り出しを行い、切り出されたキーワード群301を用いてユーザプロファイルの更新処理をすればよい。
Also, if “always watch” is selected as the reason, it is expected that the program is viewed every time regardless of the program content and performers, so only the “title” of the program information in FIG. It is only necessary to perform keyword segmentation with attention and perform user profile update processing using the segmented
さらに別法として、提示する理由を対象とする番組の番組情報に応じて変化させることも考えられる。例えば、対象とする番組のジャンルによって提示する理由を変化させてもよい。 Further, as another method, it is conceivable to change the reason for presenting according to the program information of the target program. For example, the reason for presentation may be changed depending on the genre of the target program.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing an example of reason candidates displayed in that case. FIG. 12A shows an example of a reason display screen when the genre of the target program is “song program”. As a reason for watching a song program, it is generally considered that the user likes a specific singer or the user generally likes the genre of a song program. , “1. I like the performers of the day”, “2. I like the song program”, and the same genre as in FIG. Possible reasons are listed.
When the user selects “1. I like the performer of the day” as the reason, pay attention to the “performer” in the program information, and when “2. I like the song program”, select “2. Focusing on “genre”, keywords may be cut out by the methods already described, and learning may be performed based on the keywords. In addition, when “I always watch” is selected as the reason, it is expected that the program is viewed every time, regardless of the program content or performers, as in the example shown in FIG. It is only necessary to focus on only the “title” of the information, perform keyword segmentation, and update the user profile using the segmented
On the other hand, FIG. 12B is an example of a reason display screen when the genre of the target program is “news”. The reason for watching news is that the program was happening when you wanted to watch the news, or because you were interested in the topic or feature of the day, The choices for reason b) include news-specific choices such as “1. The time was convenient” and “2. I was curious about the day's broadcast content” and “3. Reasons that can be commonly considered regardless of the genre similar to 10 are listed.
If the user selects “1. Because the time was convenient” as the reason, it is considered that the news was anything, so pay attention to the “genre” of the program information, and “2. If it is selected that the user is interested, the content of the program is considered to be concerned, so paying attention to the “program content”, the keywords may be extracted in the same way as described above, and learning may be performed based on the keywords. If “always watched” is selected as the reason, as in the previous examples, keyword extraction is performed by focusing on only the “title” of the program information, and the user is extracted using the extracted
以上のように、視聴した番組のジャンルに応じて、提示する理由の候補を適宜変更し、常に適切な理由候補を表示させることが可能になり、より的確なユーザの嗜好の学習とより精度の高い番組推薦が実現する。 As described above, according to the genre of the program that has been viewed, it is possible to change the candidate for the reason to be presented as appropriate, and to always display the appropriate candidate for reason, more accurate user preference learning and more accurate High program recommendation is realized.
また、同様に時間帯、曜日、放送局など、番組情報のうちジャンル以外の属性の属性値によって提示する理由を変更してもよいことはいうまでもない。 Similarly, it goes without saying that the reason for presentation may be changed depending on attribute values of attributes other than the genre in the program information, such as time zone, day of the week, and broadcasting station.
図13は、このように、番組情報のある属性の属性値に応じて提示する理由を変更させる番組推薦装置のシステム構成の一例を示す機能ブロック図である。この番組推薦装置は、既に示した図1の構成に、さらに理由候補蓄積部114を加えて構成される。
FIG. 13 is a functional block diagram showing an example of the system configuration of the program recommendation device that changes the reason for presentation according to the attribute value of an attribute of the program information. This program recommendation device is configured by further adding a reason
理由候補蓄積部114には、ユーザが視聴した番組に応じてどのような理由候補を提示するかを指定する情報が蓄積されている。
The reason
FIG. 14 is a diagram showing a specific example of the
以上のように理由候補生成部110が定性的な理由の選択肢を提示し、ユーザプロファイル更新部106が選択された理由に応じてEPGの着目する属性を適宜選択し、選択された属性のみを用いてキーワードを生成しユーザプロファイル更新することにより、提示する理由候補数を少なくすることが可能になりユーザの理由入力の負荷が軽減すると同時に、不要なキーワードの学習を防止し、精度の高い情報推薦を実現することが可能となる。
As described above, the reason
なお、情報表示部107での理由の提示の別法として、EPGから切り出したキーワードを全て提示するのではなく、ユーザプロファイルを利用して視聴した理由を予測してその予測結果に基づいて絞り込んだキーワードを表示してもよい。
As another method of presenting the reason in the
図15は、絞り込まれたキーワードの、情報表示部107における一表示例を示す図である。
FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating a display example of the narrowed keywords on the
この理由キーワードの絞込みは、理由候補生成部110が、ユーザプロファイル蓄積部105に蓄積されているユーザプロファイルと、メタデータ蓄積部104に蓄積されている、ユーザが今まで視聴していた番組の番組情報とを参照して行う。
The reason keywords are narrowed down by the program of the programs that the reason
FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating an example of specific data related to narrowing down the reason keyword.
First, by the
ここで、図15では「松上電器」「ワールドカップ」の予測されたキーワードに加え「その他」という選択肢が設けられている。これは、予測されたキーワードがユーザの視聴の理由として該当しなかった場合に、ユーザが3を選択すると、図5で既に示したように、EPGから生成される全てのキーワードを理由の候補として提示する。 Here, in FIG. 15, in addition to the predicted keywords “Matsugami Electric” and “World Cup”, an option “Other” is provided. This is because when the predicted keyword is not applicable as the reason for viewing by the user, when the user selects 3, all the keywords generated from the EPG are selected as candidates for the reason as already shown in FIG. Present.
また、図16のリスト404には予測された理由キーワードの評価値が付与されており、高い評価値ほど理由として尤もらしいことを表す。そこで、例えば、図17に示すように、評価値が最も高かったキーワード1つだけを選択して「松上電器の話題が見たくてこの番組を見ましたね?」と表示し、ユーザには「はい」「いいえ」のいずれかだけを選択してもらうようすることも可能である。
In addition, an evaluation value of the predicted reason keyword is assigned to the
以上のように理由候補生成部110が、視聴した番組のEPGとユーザプロファイルとから視聴した理由として尤もらしいキーワードを予測し提示するため、提示する理由候補数を少なくすることが可能になりユーザの理由入力の負荷が軽減すると同時に、不要なキーワードの学習を防止し、精度の高い情報推薦を実現することが可能となる。
As described above, the reason
また、この尤もらしいキーワードの評価値が他のキーワードの評価値より著しく高い場合は理由キーワードの提示およびユーザによる選択操作なしに理由のキーワードとして確定し、ユーザプロファイルを更新するように動作させても構わない。 In addition, when the evaluation value of this plausible keyword is significantly higher than the evaluation value of other keywords, it is determined as the reason keyword without presenting the reason keyword and the selection operation by the user, and the user profile may be updated. I do not care.
また、番組情報には、ここまでに説明した種々の属性の他に、クイズや投票などといったユーザからのフィードバックを受け付ける双方向番組であることを示す属性が付与されている場合がある。その属性によって双方向番組であると示される番組には、「双方向番組だから」という理由候補を提示することが好ましい。 In addition to the various attributes described so far, the program information may have an attribute indicating that the program is an interactive program that accepts feedback from the user, such as a quiz or a vote. It is preferable to present a candidate for the reason “because it is an interactive program” to a program indicated by the attribute as an interactive program.
図18は、「双方向番組だから」という選択肢を含む理由候補の、情報表示部107における一表示例を示す図である。
FIG. 18 is a diagram illustrating a display example on the
ユーザによって「双方向番組だから」という理由が得らればれた場合には、ユーザプロファイル更新部106は、例えば「双方向」という理由キーワードをユーザプロファイル蓄積部105へ蓄積すればよい。そして、「双方向」という理由キーワードがユーザプロファイルに記録されているユーザには双方向番組を推薦することによって、番組を通したクイズや投票などを好むユーザの嗜好に応えることができる。
When the reason “because it is an interactive program” is obtained by the user, the user
なお、情報表示部107での理由の提示の方法として、「なんとなく」という理由を提示してもよい。
As a method of presenting the reason on the
図19は、「なんとなく」という選択肢を含む理由候補の、情報表示部107における一表示例を示す図である。
FIG. 19 is a diagram illustrating a display example on the
In this case, the reason option is not fixedly associated with any attribute of the program information like the other options. Somehow selecting a program means that, for example, as a result of zapping a program that was aired during that time period (viewing it one at a time), the program is still relatively good although it is not decisive. It is thought that it selected. Therefore, if “somehow” is selected as the reason, keywords are cut out from the program information of the program that the user was watching and other programs that were aired during the same time period, and the program that the user watched Keywords that exist but do not exist in other programs are used to update the user profile.
図20は、「なんとなく」という選択肢を取り扱う番組推薦装置の構成の一例を示す機能ブロック図である。この番組推薦装置は、図13に示される番組推薦装置におけるユーザプロファイル蓄積部105に積極理由蓄積部105a及び消極理由蓄積部105bを追加し、情報指定部109に機器操作解釈部115を追加して構成される。
FIG. 20 is a functional block diagram illustrating an example of the configuration of a program recommendation device that handles the “somehow” option. In this program recommendation device, a positive
積極理由蓄積部105aは、これまでに説明したユーザプロファイルを蓄積し、消極理由蓄積部105bは、「なんとなく」が選択された場合のユーザプロファイルを蓄積する。
The positive
機器操作解釈部115は、ユーザによる情報入力操作を解釈して、ザッピング操作が行われているか判断する。例えば、所定時間内に放映中の全てのチャンネルが一通り選択されることによって、ザッピング操作が行われたと判断することができる。
The device
理由候補生成部110は、ザッピングが行われていると判断された場合、理由の候補に「なんとなく」を含めて生成する。理由候補生成部110は、ザッピングの他にも、例えば、ユーザが視聴していた番組の番組情報に、ユーザプロファイルには全くないキーワードが含まれる場合(例えば、サッカーを好むユーザが、珍しく漫才を見ていたような場合)に、理由の候補に「なんとなく」を含めて生成してもよい。
If it is determined that zapping is performed, the reason
When “Necessary” is selected, the
そして、推薦情報選択部113は、ザッピングが行われていると判断された場合、消極理由蓄積部105bのユーザプロファイルとメタデータからユーザに推薦する情報を選択し、そうでない場合、積極理由蓄積部105aのユーザプロファイルとメタデータからユーザに推薦する情報を選択する。
When it is determined that zapping is performed, the recommendation
以上のように動作させることで、ユーザが何となく選択し視聴した番組であっても、他の番組との相対的な特徴を抽出し学習に生かすことが可能となる。 By operating as described above, even if the program is somehow selected and viewed by the user, it is possible to extract the relative features with other programs and use them for learning.
Moreover, although the example in the recommendation of the program which used EPG as metadata was demonstrated here, if it recommends CD using CDDB, for example, "I like the artist" "The genre" “I like music” and “I like music of that age” can be presented. In this case, if the user selects “I like the artist” as the reason, the attribute value of the attribute “artist name” of the CDDB is selected, and if “I like the genre” is selected, the attribute value of the attribute “genre” is selected. If “I like the music of that age” is selected, the attribute value of the attribute “age” may be used for updating the user profile.
別の例としてメタデータとして書誌情報を利用した書籍の推薦であれば、提示する理由の候補として、「作者が好きだから」「ジャンルが好きだから」「その年代の作品が好きだから」などのように提示することにより、同様に処理することが可能となる。 As another example, if you recommend a book that uses bibliographic information as metadata, the possible reasons for presenting it are “I like the author”, “I like the genre”, “I like the work of that age”, etc. It is possible to perform the same processing by presenting to the above.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the reason candidate presentation and
Alternatively, the reason candidate presentation and
本発明の情報推薦装置はテキスト情報あるいはテキストのメタデータが付与されている情報について、それらの情報閲覧履歴からユーザの嗜好を学習し、情報を推薦する機器、サービスなどに適応が可能である。具体的には、EPGを利用した番組検索システム、CDDBを利用したCD検索システム、インターネット検索システムなどに適応が可能である。 The information recommendation device of the present invention can be applied to devices, services, etc. that recommend user information by learning user's preference from information browsing history of text information or text metadata. Specifically, the present invention can be applied to a program search system using EPG, a CD search system using CDDB, an Internet search system, and the like.
