Abstract
Description
740°F(380℃)のオーブン温度で型を120分間回転させて、一連のロトライニングを実行した。ここで、試験パネルは、アルミナ粒子とガラスビーズとのブレンド(16グリット)によってグリットブラストされた304ステンレス鋼である。そして、型に添加されるロトライニング組成物の量は、厚さ90ミル(2.3mm)のライニングを形成するために十分である。
安定化TFE/PEVEコポリマーと、安定化されていないTFE/PEVEコポリマーとを比較するために、実施例1と同一のパラメータ下で一連のロトライニングを実行する。炭素原子106個あたり10個未満の不安定末端基を有するコポリマーを得るために、コポリマーの粒子をフッ素で処理することによって、安定化TFE/PEVEコポリマー粒子を調製する。各ロトライニング組成物は、1重量%の亜鉛粉末を含有する。炭素鋼パネルに関して、安定化されていないコポリマー含有ライニングの剥離強度は109lb/インチ(19.16kN/m)であるが、安定化コポリマー含有ライニングに関して、剥離強度は53lb/インチ(9.28kN/m)である。両ライニングは平滑で、かつ無気泡である。
ライニングされる型の内部に100ミル(2.5mm)のオーバーコート厚を提供するために十分な量でコポリマーの粒子を添加することによって、いずれの金属粉末も含有しない安定化TFE/PPVEコポリマーによって、実施例1および実施例2のライニングにオーバーコートする。ロトライニング温度は650°F(343℃)であり、そして型の回転時間は180分である。得られるオーバーコートはライニング(アンダーコート)に接着し、そして平滑で、かつ無気泡である。
Claims (13)
- テトラフルオロエチレン/ペルフルオロ(エチルビニルエーテル)コポリマーの粒子と、接着促進性で非気泡促進性の金属粉末とを含むことを特徴とする組成物。
- 前記組成物中に存在する前記金属粉末の量が、約5重量%未満であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記量が約2重量%以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属粉末が亜鉛を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属粉末がスズを含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記金属粉末が銅を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記コポリマーの融解と、それに続く冷却の後、請求項1に記載の組成物から得られる組成物。
- 前記コポリマーが安定化されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 中空物品の内部表面をロトライニングする方法であって、テトラフルオロエチレン/ペルフルオロ(エチルビニルエーテル)コポリマーの粒子と、接着促進性で非気泡促進性の金属粉末とを含む組成物を、前記中空物品の内部へ添加する工程と、前記物品を回転させて、前記内部表面上に組成物を分配する工程と、回転させている間に前記物品を加熱して、前記コポリマー粒子を融解させ、前記内部表面上に前記組成物の連続的なライニングを形成する工程と、前記物品を冷却し、その結果として、前記表面に接着した前記ライニングを得る工程とを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 前記コポリマーが安定化されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記ライニング上に、ロトライニングされたテトラフルオロエチレン/ペルフルオロ(アルキルビニルエーテル)コポリマーのオーバーコートを形成し、前記オーバーコートが前記金属粉末を含まないことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記オーバーコートが前記ライニングの厚さより厚いことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の方法。
- 請求項9に記載の方法によって形成されたロトライニング。
