Abstract
Description
The present invention provides a special valve seal material used for controlling fluids in life-related fields such as water, oil and gas, or in all manufacturing industries such as the chemical industry, petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry and beverage and food industry. More particularly, the present invention relates to a ball valve equipped with a ball seat having creep resistance and exhibiting excellent sealing performance.
Accordingly, various inventions have been proposed to solve such problems. First, a ball valve in which a ball seat obtained by mixing PTFE with a tetrafluoroethylene / perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer (PFA) is formed and this ball seat is mounted has been proposed (see Patent Document 1). This ball sheet combines the characteristics of PTFE and the creep resistance of PFA. Next, a ball valve in which PTFE is mixed with PFA and a specific amount of carbon fiber is blended to improve wear resistance is formed, and a ball valve equipped with this ball seat has been proposed (Patent Literature). 2).
The present invention has been developed as a result of earnest research in order to meet the above-mentioned requirements, and the object is to combine friction resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance and creep resistance. Another object of the present invention is to provide a valve that can greatly improve the sealing performance without deteriorating the creep resistance by expanding the temperature range in which the creep resistance is exhibited.

It is a valve that is an annular ball seat for a ball valve that is isolated.

An example of an embodiment in which the valve of the present invention is applied to a floating type ball valve equipped with a ball seat will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of a ball valve showing an example of a state in which a ball seat is mounted. In the figure,
In the figure,
In addition to the
Next, the composition of the molded product including the
The
PTFE is not limited and can be used with various molecular weights including commercial products, but 98% by mass or more of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkyltrifluoroethylene or oxyperfluoroalkyltrifluoroethylene A commercially available tetrafluoroethylene resin powder for extruding paste is preferably made into a granular form by emulsion polymerization. Among these, modified PTFE obtained by copolymerizing 1% by weight or less of perfluoroalkoxy with PTFE is preferable because of its increased affinity with PFA. As such modified PTFE, “62J” and “70J” manufactured by Mitsui DuPont Fluorochemical Co., Ltd. and “M111” and “M112” manufactured by Daikin Industries, Ltd. can be obtained from the market.
There is no restriction | limiting also in PFA, The thing of various molecular weights including a commercial item can be used. This PFA is blended in the resin mixture with PTFE so as to be 3 to 15% by weight. Since PTFE has a low heat melting property, it is considered that a minute gap is formed between the carbon fiber and the carbon black and the creep resistance and sealing performance of the valve seal material and the molded product are lowered. Therefore, by blending a heat-meltable PFA, the minute gap between the PTFE and the carbon fiber is filled to improve the creep resistance and sealing performance of the valve seal material and the molded product. In order to surely exhibit such a clogging action of the minute gaps, it is necessary to blend PFA in the resin mixture at 3% by mass or more, preferably 5% by mass or more. However, as the blending ratio of PFA increases, the friction resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, etc. due to PTFE are not sufficiently developed. Moreover, since PFA is generally expensive, the cost increases as the blending ratio increases. Therefore, in the present invention, taking these into account, the upper limit of the blending ratio of PFA in the resin mixture is set to 30% by mass.
Carbon fiber is blended in the resin mixture. By blending the carbon fiber, the valve seal material and the molded product have excellent creep resistance in a wide temperature range. In addition, since an antistatic effect is added, there is an advantage that the safety of a device equipped with a valve or a molded product is increased. Carbon fibers having a relatively short size with an average fiber diameter of 5 to 30 μm, preferably 7 to 15 μm and an average fiber length of 50 to 1000 μm, preferably 70 to 200 μm are preferable.
In this example, the compounding quantity of carbon fiber shall be 5-30 mass% of the resin composition whole quantity. When the blending amount of the carbon fiber is less than 5% by mass, the above effect is not sufficiently exhibited. When the blending amount exceeds 30% by mass, the blending amount of the resin mixture and the carbon black is relatively reduced, and the creep resistance and the sealing performance are adversely affected. Come out.
Carbon black is further blended in the resin mixture. By adding carbon black, the creep resistance of valve seals and molded products is further improved. There is no limitation on the type of carbon black, but creep resistance and sealing performance are further improved by using a carbon black having an average particle size of 0.1 μm or more, preferably 0.2 μm or more.
In this example, the compounding quantity of carbon black shall be 5-30 mass% of the resin composition whole quantity. When the blending amount of carbon black is less than 5% by mass, the above effects cannot be sufficiently exhibited. When the blending amount exceeds 30% by mass, the blending amount of the resin mixture and the carbon fiber is relatively reduced, and particularly the sealing performance is adversely affected. .
By containing the carbon black, the content of the resin mixture is limited to suppress the generation of voids due to expansion and contraction of the resin mixture during a heat cycle load, and the carbon black functions to fill the voids. This prevents permeation leakage while ensuring heat resistance and wear resistance.
The carbon fiber and carbon black may be surface-modified using a coupling agent or the like in order to improve dispersibility in the resin mixture.
Further, the resin composition in the valve of this example may be blended with additives conventionally used for fluororesin materials within a range not impairing creep resistance and sealing performance.
This resin composition is obtained by stirring and mixing PTFE powder, PFA powder, carbon fiber and carbon black at a predetermined ratio. In this case, you may add an additive as needed. In order to obtain a valve seal material or a molded product, each mold may be filled with a resin composition and heated and compressed.
Hereinafter, Examples 1 to 5 of the present invention will be described in comparison with Comparative Examples 1 to 5, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
As shown in Table 1, modified PTFE copolymerized with perfluoroalkoxy (“62-J” manufactured by Mitsui DuPont Fluoro Chemical Co.), PFA (“MP-10” manufactured by Mitsui DuPont Fluoro Chemical Co.), carbon fiber (“Kureka Chop” manufactured by Kureha Chemical Co., Ltd .; average fiber diameter 12.5 μm, average fiber length 130 μm) and carbon black (MT-carbon; average particle diameter 0.2 to 0.5 μm) are mixed and suitable for the following tests A test piece was prepared by compression molding into a shape, firing, and cutting. And a test piece is used for the following test and various test results are mentioned later.
(1) Thermal cycle test The
As the ball valve of the test product, a stainless steel floating type valve (nominal diameter 50A) is used. In FIG. 2, the
The valve seat leakage amount is determined by supplying helium gas (pressure 0.9 MPa) from the primary side of the valve in the fully closed state, and the volume of helium gas leaking to the secondary side of the valve after passing through the
In Table 2, the valve seat leakage amount of Example 1 after finishing the first high temperature state and returning to normal temperature is suppressed by about 25% compared to Comparative Example 3, and then the second high temperature state. It was confirmed that the valve seat leakage amount in Example 1 after finishing the process and returning to room temperature was almost free from leakage as compared with Comparative Example 3.
Therefore, by using the valve body with the valve seal material, which is a molded product in this example, it is possible to obtain a valve that is less likely to cause valve seat leakage even under a high temperature cycle.
(2) Gas permeability test A test piece having a diameter of 10 mm and a thickness of 2 mm is prepared, and as shown in FIG. 3, the
D=〔(T1−T2)/12.7〕×100(%)
(3) Compression creep characteristic test In accordance with AS5-6-0140c, a 6: 9 Mpa load was applied to a cylindrical test piece having a diameter of 12.7 mm and a height of 12.7 mm in an atmosphere of 200 ° C. The height (T1) 10 seconds after and the height (T2) 24 hours after applying the load were measured, and the compression creep rate (D) was determined from the following formula. The results are also shown in Table 1.
D = [(T1-T2) /12.7] × 100 (%)
E=〔(12.7−T3)/12.7〕×100(%)
(4) Permanent cleaving property test In accordance with AS5-6-0141c, a load of 6.9 MPa was applied to a cylindrical test piece having a diameter of 12.7 mm and a height of 12.7 mm in an atmosphere of 200 ° C. After adding for 24 hours, the height (T3) when 30 minutes passed after releasing the load was measured, and the compression permanent deformation rate (E) was obtained from the following formula. The results are also shown in Table 1.
E = [(12.7−T3) /12.7] × 100 (%)
As shown in Table 1, the test piece of each example according to the present invention is excellent in sealing performance and creep resistance.
On the other hand, the test piece of Comparative Example 1 conforms to Patent
Regarding the other components, the test piece of Comparative Example 3 containing no PFA is greatly inferior in sealing performance. Moreover, the test piece of Comparative Example 4 containing no carbon fiber was greatly inferior in creep resistance, and it was confirmed that the carbon fiber contributed to the improvement in creep resistance. However, even if the carbon fiber is excessively contained as in the test piece of Comparative Example 5, the improvement in creep resistance is small and the sealing performance is adversely affected.
It has friction resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and creep resistance, and can be used for sealing materials such as packing and gaskets with excellent sealing performance.
